Another one of the great groups from the 60's. Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons had so many hits together such as "Silence Is Golden", "Sherry", "Walk Like A Man", "Rag Doll", "Candy Girl", "Ronnie", "Dawn", "Let's Hang On!", "Working My Way Back To You", "I've Got You Under My Skin" etc. When Frankie went out on his own in the 70's, he had the hit songs "My Eyes Adored You" & "Can't Take My Eyes Off You". Also he had a hit with the song "Grease" from the movie. Always loved that he was able to sing in a falsetto voice.
Franki has a falsetto that's 1 of a kind famous! This was so fun to attempt to sing along with for many. These songs never get old!
Frankie Valli is now 89 years old and still touring. He played in the San Francisco Bay area a short time ago. He still has it, he is amazing. He can still reach the high falsetto, check out his UA-cam videos on his latest tour. He is like Tom Jones, someone with an ageless voice. He has a long string of hit songs, My Eyes Adored You is wonderful. He has solo work, as well as his work with the Four Seasons. The film Jersey Boys is about the Four Seasons, they have a lot of their music in the film. It is a really excellent film.
But seeing Jersey Boys on Broadway was like being at a concert..singing and dancing at your seat the whole show.
It was awesome seeing Frankie live about 4 years ago. I nearly missed out on the show because I was on a vacation, but I got back home the day before he was playing in my hometown thankfully.
Frankie has a mind blowing falsetto, and a wide range. They started as a New Jersey Doo Woop group. Try: My Eyes Adored You, Ragdoll and Oh, What A Night.
Ragdoll is my favorite song. It's so sweet. I also relate to the "poor" girl the story sings about.
Oh, What a Night has long been my favorite. "late December, back in '63..." so funny when I wasn't even born for three more years! 😂
But I still relate.
Yes. Rag Doll
It’s called Falsetto. The male head voice. Frankie was one of the best. All the R&B groups use it too.
I’ve always loved this band! This is a wonderful rabbit hole for you to dive down. Frankie and the boys have some great music. Try December 1963, Walk like a Man, Opus 17, Sherry, Who loves you…
They even had a broadway show about them called Jersey Boys.
Oh my gosh... The version of Walk Like a Man in the movie Heart & Souls with Robert Downey Jr... So much fun. But nobody does it like Frankie Valle.
The Four Seasons stormed the world when they came out with their first hit, Sherry, followed by this song in 1962, both #1 hits featuring Frankie's high falsetto voice. His voice was new to the music industry and no one had a voice like his. They were my first favorite band growing up as a young teenager in the early sixties. They had a slew of #1 hits throughout the early sixties, and then Frankie went solo in the 70's and had more hits including one in the movie Grease. Thanks for reacting to them and hope you do more of their great tunes.
Love Frankie Valli. The first falsetto I remember. Then the Bee Gees came along...
Lou Christie was right up there too.❤
I grew up listening to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Not my era. But my parents played them consistently😉
Never a bad thing to listen to things that were around before you were born.😘
I loooove Franki Valli and the four seasons! You need to react to either Sherry or Walk like a man!
#1NJFan here. YES, NJ in da house. Lead singer was born in Newark, NJ, and that's where the group also came from. Clint Eastwood directed a movie about them "Jersey Boys". Frankie Valli also has #1 solo songs. Awesome reaction brother. 😀
I am living for the day you sing an entire song.
Loved your reaction, my man. 😁
The Four Seasons were simply epic performers. They rolled off hit after hit after hit, all built around their great harmonies and Frankie Valli's vocal talent.
Frankie had a crazy vocal range.
If anyone likes their music and hasn't seen the movie jersey Boys, they have to!
Amazeballs!!! They are my favorite group from the 60's! I did my music thesis on them in high school in 1974! Still love them!!
Sha Na Na was the singing group in Grease at the school dance! Try them out they even had their own TV variety show back in the 70s😂😂😂
No autotune, its his voice
Fun fact: Frankie’s granddaughter played his wife (her grandmother) in the Broadway show Jersey Boys.
I love Frankie Valli's voice.
Frankie also has a solo career. He did the theme song for the movie Grease.
They also made a movie Jersey Boys, Very interesting story behind the group. This was a fun group, lots of hits reeled out.
Please watch their live performance of Oh What A Night, Dec, 1963. A great performance! Enjoy!💕
I saw Frankie Valli live at a free public concert in the mid 80's, I think I was 8, maybe 9. Blew my ears out, I was standing so close to the stage, right in front of the speakers. At that time, I had no clue who I was watching, I just knew it was good music. My mom always brought me to the "Concerts in the Commons"
Can’t Take My Eyes Off You
The first group and song I remember as a child on the car radio. Jersey boys is the movie that tells the story. One of my faves!
Franki Valli is an icon! I grew up with this. Got to love this! Love your reaction!
Back in the day .they were legends..they had a four album greatest hits..legendary
FV & the 4 Seasons were a favorite growing up. I had a double album & played it out! If you’d like another vocalist who will blow you away in a completely different manner, try the live performance by Johnny & Edgar Winter on Tobacco Road. You won’t know what hit you!
Hey AB, oops my bad...🤭 sorry about the sound.
Frankie Valli is the lead singer, and the band is The Four Seasons" the band members sing too. Frankie Valli was beautifully gifted with a rare set of vocals; his range was ridiculous. lol
Here's another one of their songs "Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons - Who Loves You (Official Music Video)"
AB ya gotta listen to Frankie sing Sherry. Frankie's voice and high pitch will blow your mind.
Try Sherry, Rag Doll & My Eyes Adored You..just naming a few.
A great group & song.
You've entered the world of the 60's & the music then was very, very different.
Absolutely love your reaction to this!! Alot of us watching these videos have heard this music most of our lives & enjoy seeing people hearing for the first time. Awesome, I loved it & actually watched it repeatedly!!
Frankie Valli in the movie Grease... What fun! Beauty School Drop Out has such crazy lyrics.
That's Frankie Avalon
@@tedostrowski1379 oops! I knew that and forgot. Thanks for correcting me!
I love this reaction. Your face always gets me! Angry chipmunk! I’m 💀❤😂
I thought he said alien chipmunk! I just listened again and you were right. Either way it was funny. 🤣🐿
I adore Frankie
😂 he was famous for being able to change his voice....many love the falsetto he had
I saw these guys in 1968 when I was 15. My first indoor concert. LOL Others have listed some other great tunes by them. And Valli is pronounced just like the word Valley. You were right the first time you said it.
Love the video good song great taste in music ❤❤❤❤thank you
What was funny was that the organ was playing the theme for their song Sherry. What you don't realize about how popular they were is that there is a Broadway musical about them, Jersey Boys. It's currently playing in London, UK.
You had it right the first time...Frankie Valli pronounced Valley. You're in for a treat!
Over the past several years I've been to three Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons concerts and every single one was was fantastic. They sound exactly like the records.
A great group in its day. Frankie still performs.
My Mom used to tell a story of when she had a break up as a teenager. She was crying in her room when her youngest brother, who was about 13 years younger, noticed. He asked her, "Why are you crying sissy? Big girls don't cry!" Sadly both are gone now. But stories likes this arise time to time showing the power of music.
AB if you would like another blast from the past please try DION. His recordings of THE WANDERER and RUNAROUND SUE are AWESOME !!! I would love to see your reaction, thank you !!! ❤
Oh what a night and Who loves you are 2 outstanding tunes by FV!!! ❤❤❤
Good music of the 60s
Valli kept doing that for the next 50 years. Kept that voice. Had lots of hits.
Dawn, Who Lives You Pretty Baby, My Eyes Adored You &:Grease are just a few of my favorites ❤
Fun fact: In the 1960s, the decade of the Beatles, the British Invasion, the Beach Boys, and Motown, no group or artist charted more singles on the Billboard Hot 100 than Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Check out a few of their other hits, like "Sherry," "Working My Way Back to You," and my favorite, "Tell It To the Rain." Then there were Franki's solo hits, "Can't Take My Eyes Off You," "My Eyes Adored You," and "I've Got You Under My Skin." Watch the Broadway Musical turned movie "Jersey Boys" to learn more about them.
The 4 Seasons started as "The 4 Lovers", and worked at The Sea Breeze, a dinner club on the Board Walk in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ. for a few summers before they changed their name and had "Sherry" as a hit.
Plenty of great songs. Candy girl, silence is golden, tell it to the rain, walk like a man, December 1963, sherry, and many more! They even have awesome covers of other prevalent artists. I recommend their album Romancing the 60s.
Its true. He's still touring and my daughter and i have seen him twice in the last 2 years. She's 18 and has loved the 4 Seasons since i introduced her to them 10 years ago...cause she wouldn't stop crying. They have a ton of hits.
I clearly remember the first time I heard this. Our local park held a get together to keep the teens off the street on the weekends. This came up in the song list and everybody was dancing by the second line. I was about 13 years old and it still makes me want to dance.
Frankie is 86 years old and still sounds the same.
People back then could sing. No mechanics like today.
Love love this group, please listen to My Eyes Adour You, one of my favorite
This was rather the end of doo-wop this came out when I was eight years old and keep up the good work keep diving back in the past and fall down those rabbit holes of the past
I was 11 when that song played on Dick Clark's American Bandstand 1962 and also on 1050 CHUM Radio in Toronto Canada. I can still sing that way and never took voice lessons. I'm 72.
That is the Frankie Valli glorious falsetto!🎙🎶
You'll be even more imprest when you see the reunion concert and the voice is just the same❤😊
An oldie but goodie! Valli as in valley.
It's called a great voice with alot of range!!
Try "Beggin" or Rage Doll" next! Love ur reactions! This is one of the deepest holes you may ever go down and you'll go down it.
Just as true today as it ever was. Real women know when to hold it back, and when to Let it Loose. Big girls do cry. That doesn't mean we need to let anyone see it. Crying in front of someone can be seen as a manipulation tactic. Strong woman that understands herself doesn't use it as such. But that doesn't mean she doesn't cry.
At the same time, real men do cry as well.
There is a time, a place, and a reason for tears.
But trying to hold onto a partner, that is a time for holding them back. If they are not willing to keep you without the tears, then they are not worth seeing your tears
One of my favourite groups when I was growing up
Frankie had a 4 octave range.
I knew Frankie's cousin and he sang just like him. Amazing.
Legendary singer, look him up.
You crack me up … an angry chipmunk! 😂😂😂 Thanks for another great reaction! Much love ❤️
Frankie Valli is an original O.G
Love Frankie 🤗
Really surprised they gave you this one for your first Frankie valli song. I’d check out sherry or December 1963
Man I love this song!! One of my favorites!!❤❤
My parents used to play these oldies in the car all the time when I was a little kid in the 90's.
I had these songs from the Four Seasons stuck in my head a lot. Especially the "Sherry" song. We had a luch lady named Sherry when I was in elementary. She was always telling me how cute I was when I came through the line.
Alot of us weren't born yet still a great band
Great reaction! I've always thought that their best song is "Dawn" and no one has ever reacted to it.
Lou Christie is another singer with incredible ranges to his voice. Please respond to his song....I'm Gonna Make You Mine.
We loved it at the time & now! Thanks for playing. Love your channel.
Frankie is the "Mitch" of that generation!!! ❤
They are very entertaining and the talent is pure. Take your wife to see Jersey Boys the musical you will not be disappointed.
FRANKIE VALLIS VOICE MADE HIM FAMOUS
A great hit by the is "O What A Night."
I love it!!! An angry chipmunk!
Frankie Valli (say it Valley) can still sing like this to this day.
Next up by them should be,Oh What A Night!🎙🎶👊
Awesomeness ❤❤❤
Great reaction to Frankie Valli his voice is fire you have to listen to Sherry love him 😍
Voice is real.
Try Who Loves You Pretty Baby, decade later but cool ass tune
Grats on the 100k my dude🎉
They're childhood friends of actor Joe Pesci, and they've often brought him on stage, because he first introduced the band members to each other.
In later years he played a character on the Sopranos-Jersey boy for real.
🎼🔥☺️🔥🎼 .. love it !
These guys have lots of hits. Keep listening. ❤❤
You must have heard about the Broadway show Jersey Boys. It's about the The Four Seasons,
And people still wonder why we give so much credit to music from the past🤷♀️
How much, mainstream, music from after 99 can hold up to the mainstream music of generations past? Even going back to the 20s. There used to be staying power. Now it's about who can grab the fad🤷♀️ not to say you won't be remembered. But it definitely won't be remembered in the same way for Generations to come
IT;s know since the time of Egypt a Stracat-e. They have a snip snip moment or a transformation ala transformer. Has both the strength of a male voice but the voice of a female to have that unique voice
And the spell is "highpitchus voicicus
