Ben Stiller's mom in "Meet the FOCKERS" [edited from "Parents"]. She's sang every genre of music. Only artist to have #1 albums in six consecutive decades. Actress selling most tickets for 70s decade. A must see: her movie "What's Up Doc?" Imo, one of the funniest movies ever. (Binky! 🤣)

The most expensive concert I’ve ever been to but when Babs is performing, it’s worth it. I’ve loved her voice and her dramatic delivery since the first time I heard her. She started on Broadway and she’s never lost it.
You are correct. This is from the Broadway show CATS which played for many years. I can bring tears to your eyes. Barbara was Celine Dion when Celine was still a baby.
Cats is a Broadway show centering around alley cats. This song is the old cat (Grissella) who isn't what she used to be. It was based on a book of poetry by T.S. Eilot. I saw this on Broadway in 1986. Great songs. Try Evergreen by Barbra. It was a huge hit in 1977-78ish. She's a phenomen. She does everything - Broadway, movies, huge concert venues. She produces, writes and directs. Hello Rabbit hole.
Your face when she started to belt out the song....priceless!!! She has a very powerful, and, yes, enchanting voice. This song is from the musical "Cats." I always loved her songs from the movie "Yentl." "Papa, Can You Hear Me," "No Matter What Happens," lots of good ones on that. Thank you for a memorable reaction!
Barbra is perhaps one of the top 3 female vocalists of the 20 th century. This song is from the Broadway musical, "Cats". Originally sung by Betty Buckley on stage. Its about an old cat who is reflecting on her life before she dies. Now you need to listen to Barbra sing " Somewhere" Barbra is first a singer, then an actor, movie director and producer. She starred in 2 movie remakes of Broadway shows, "Funny Girl "and "Hello Dolly". You may have seen her act in "Meet The Fockers". In the 70's she starred in the remake of " A Star Is Born" with Kris Kristofferson. She is equally fabulous as a comedic actor and a dramatic actor. Check out these duets of Battles Streisand with: * Celine Dion..........."Tell Him". ( the voices of 2 angels) *Barry Gibb............."A Woman in Love" *Neil Diamond........" You Don't Bring Me Flowers Anymore" *Donna Summer....."No More Tears/Enough is Enough" ('extended version) Barbra's voice is a gift to all of us. She is now 80 and still singing and acting and directing. You are right, her voice is magical. More of her songs: "Evergreen" ( video w/ Kristofferson). "People" ( video from Funny Girl movie). "The Way We Were". (video from movie of the same name). " My Man" ( video from Funny Girl). "Don't Rain on My Parade" ( video from Funny Girl)
Barbra's vocals are UNMATCHABLE! She doesn't sound like ANYONE ELSE and is JUST UNBELIEVABLE!! I loved the duet she did with Barry Gibb: Woman In Love....but, she has SO MANY GREAT TUNES!! Also loved her movie: Yentl - loved the song Papa Can You Hear Me...A Piece Of Sky...and, The Way He Makes Me Feel....SO GOOD!!
I would give a reaction to "Somewhere" released in 1986, it won Barbra a record 5th Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Female. It's also a broadway song from West Side Story. Her peers gave her a standing ovation when she was announced the winner of the award, at the 1987 ceremony. It's one of her best recorded performances.
Barbra Streisand is one of the most multi-talented female artists of the past 100 years: acting, directing and of course singing in her fantastic and unique voice. If you ever will react to movies, too, you should watch her movies "A Star Is Born", "Funny Girl", "Yentl", "The Way We Were", "What's Up, Doc?", "The Main Event". She is a fabulous singer on her own, but has collaborated with many big names, like The BeeGees and then especially oldest brother Barry Gibb. The album "Guilty" Barry (and his brothers, but mainly he) made for and with Barbra Streisand not only revitalized her album sales, but revitalized the record industry as a whole. The album was a total sensation and sold so many copies world wide, so quickly after its release, it was like the records were handed out for free. Two huge showbizz names teaming up together was a big thing back in 1980. Initially the Gibbs were asked to "write a song" for Barbra. They wrote several and Barbra liked them so much that the idea for doing a whole album was born. The Gibb brothers wrote all the songs for that album. In fact, they wrote many more, so Barbra picked her favorite ones of the dozens of songs she was presented with. Barry sang 2 duets with Barbra on the album. The title song "Guilty" (album version ua-cam.com/video/Phh9B1-4EYs/v-deo.html) and "What kind of fool?" (album version: ua-cam.com/video/hfIR9NCcUKI/v-deo.html / live version: ua-cam.com/video/3vi2RSWKfRQ/v-deo.html). But most of the songs on the album had Barry's backing vocals and that special BeeGees sound to them. On Woman in Love Barry only plays the acoustic guitar. Background vocals are by Denise Maynelli, Myrna Mathews and Marti McCal. You should listen to the entire album, it's a classic. And the whole music business, including all the big stars, were starstruck by this duo as you can see in this clip ua-cam.com/video/pR1q_lPAzVg/v-deo.html. After this album, the BeeGees produced albums for Dionne Warwick, Kenny Rogers and Diana Ross among others, for whom they also wrote all the songs. Most of these albums became best sold albums of these artists, too. This was from the 1986 One Voice concert Barbra held in her backyard to raise awareness after the Tjernobyl disaster.
If you do much more Barbra Streisand, whom you seem to love now, I will join your channel. I love seeing your responses. I totally understand. I have been a huge Barbra Streisand fan since 1995 when I was 5 years old and my Mom let me stay up to watch her first television special with no guest, just Barbra in 3 acts. She won an Emmy Award for her first television special with no one but an hour of Barbra in 3 acts.

(New to him). I would suggest some Bessie Smith but I don't think he could handle it. I am surprised she is even on UA-cam.
@@curtislong6806 young is not 40, that's half dead lol.
Unfortunately things are lost to time. The first time I realized younger people didn't know Barbra could sing I almost fainted. Lol. I thought Barbra and singing was a constant in the universe.
I also now realize what great music we had and how I took it for granted.
"I remember the time I knew what happiness was". Me too.
Greatest singer of all time!
(Binky! 🤣)
Barbra Streisand is LEGENDARY on a galactic scale.
The voice of not only a generation, but many lifetimes. She's unworldly. Ethereal. Preternatural.
I was also thinking ethereal. And sublime. And exquisite. Even these words seem inadequate.
@@terri2494 Yes. She has a once in a lifetime voice, no doubt. I don't even know how many times I have heard her sing "Memory" and I cry every single time.
Lea Salonga could give Babs a run for ger money with respect to diction.
She is the cherry on top of the tree when it comes to female vocalist, producers, writers, actress… Talent runs through that body👍👍👍👍💙💙💙💙✅✅✅✅
Her vocal, range, power, control and her ability to communicate emotion is like a unicorn….so hard to find.
Barbra Streisand is The Greatest Star.
Barbra Streisand "Woman in love" (studio version). It's amazing!!!!
Goosebumps!!!
Wonderful song.
@@user-or1ye3iz6d Goosebumps I did get from Women In Love... the first time I heard it being played on radio FROM CD! Instead of those awful 7" vinyl eccentric pressings that were played to death back in 1980. Such a relief, from CD - finally all her long notes in perfect steady pitch 🙂
She delivers this song with more emotion than any one I've ever heard do it. Goosebumps everytime i hear her sing it.
Barbra is bigger than life! My goodness she is probably the best singer ever! Play more please.
"What rock have i been under?" I don't know but it must have been a big bugger! Lol. I'm not a Streisand fan as such but i do love watching people's reaction's to her amazing singing. Your face was a picture. 😯 great reaction.❤
Its "the way we were " for me .Her voice is outstanding .
Barbara Streisand was considered to one of the greatest vocalist ever and a talented actress, great reaction thanks 🙏
I sang in a choir and we joined her on stage in Amsterdam! She is a powerhouse. Watch Yentle or her version of A Star is Born....she's incredible
This woman is different she is the best youll ever hear and what an actress
The most expensive concert I’ve ever been to but when Babs is performing, it’s worth it. I’ve loved her voice and her dramatic delivery since the first time I heard her. She started on Broadway and she’s never lost it.
And I believe she is a producer too- right you guys ??
Know exactly what you mean, £1000. For two tickets and worth every single penny!
Her voice is pure and powerful! I think she has one of the greatest voices all time! She is never straining! She makes it look easy!
You are correct. This is from the Broadway show CATS which played for many years. I can bring tears to your eyes. Barbara was Celine Dion when Celine was still a baby.
She is one of the most beautiful women in the world and has the voice of an angel...just gorgeous!!!
This song was performed AMAZINGLY on the Broadway Show CATS !
Specially when you follow the story line of the show.
It will give you CHILLS !
One of her first big hits is "People", it's a must listen
People is such a haunting song, her range is phenomenal in that also.
The Way We Were was also a great song she sang!
More Barbra please !!!! 😊 I highly recommend you to react to her song A piece of sky. Stunning vocals. The last note of the song is lengendary.
Barbra is perhaps one of the top 3 female vocalists of the 20 th century. This song is from the Broadway musical, "Cats". Originally sung by Betty Buckley on stage. Its about an old cat who is reflecting on her life before she dies.
Now you need to listen to Barbra sing " Somewhere"
Barbra is first a singer, then an actor, movie director and producer.
Check out these duets of Battles Streisand with:
* Celine Dion..........."Tell Him". ( the voices of 2 angels)
*Barry Gibb............."A Woman in Love"
*Neil Diamond........" You Don't Bring Me Flowers Anymore"
*Donna Summer....."No More Tears/Enough is Enough" ('extended
version)
Barbra's voice is a gift to all of us.
One of my faves as well. Her voice gives me goosebumps.
Singer, actress, director, producer, Broadway entertainer. She is simply the best,
Barbara has a beautiful duet with Celine Dion as well. It's called "Tell Him".
Barbra is an icon. A bonafide A+ film star and singer. One of the best voices ever. This song is from the Broadway play, “Cats.”
Barbara S. sings, acts, directs movies. She's been around since the 60's. Listen to her sing "The Way We Were" she also acted in this movie with Robert Redford. She is very underrated in Hollywood. Memories was used and became very popular in the stage show "Cats".
This is from the Broadway show Cats She is a superb singer and actress. Barbra can sing . You would love her duet with Louis Armstrong from Hello Dolly
Please listen everthing can get from her. you wont regret it. Best diva of this generation since 1960s. Enjoy
You're missing EVERYTHING! She is one of the greatest most iconic voices in the history of music. She is a singer and an actress. Everything she has done is perfection. This song is the main theme from the Broadway show Cats. It is very well known. If you can find the time you should listen to a whole album, even if it is her greatest hits. Also look into her movies. She is an icon. It will be worth it, I promise.
Barbra is a Goddess 🙌
Star struck by Barbara!!!!
Barbra…actress, singer, comedian. She had it all.
One of the greatest female singers of all time. Happy you found her. And as always I enjoy your reactions.
Lady Gaga reminds me of Barbra Streisand, as far as their appearance. They both have a unique beauty, in my opinion. My favorite movie with Barbra Streisand is "Funny Girl". She is one of a kind...a national treasure!
Thank you for keeping the old stuff for the next generation
She IS one of the best! Memory-great, Evergreen-the best, PIECE OF SKY???-OMG!! Please react, if you haven't man. Thanks man. You always seem,..real! Best word for it.
