Here is a launch control pull to 90mph. Car pulls hard through 1st and 2nd as I found it quite difficult to keep the phone in my hand letting off the brake. Car feels slightly faster than my stock B8.5 S4 did in same circumstances. This car with mods is sitting somewhere around 320hp 390ft/lbs at the crank. Dyno to come...
what does it cost for the tune? Also Its been 2 years how many miles on the car? is it working Fien any damages.
I’m consistently getting about 4.2-4.3s 0-60 from your video. That’s amazing for just a simple tune!
goobert83 that’s essentially what I timed, too. The car rips. I had a B8.5 S4 before this car and I would say the A4 has a slight edge with the set up.
Mister Irrelevant nice! I want to do that, the larger intercooler, and an air intake. Heard your intake in the other vid. Sounds badass. Crazy what the potential is for these b9s. They seem waaayy more capable than what came stock
goobert83 Larger intercooler is next on the list for me. It’s a must due to legitimate heat soak issues on the B9. It’s noticeable now that the weather is warmer. Suspension mods after that. More videos to come.
Mister Irrelevant The new EA888 gen 3 is a beast and the IS20 is an improvement over the K03. Can’t wait to see more mods released for these cars. Does my heart good to see the new engine making my old 1.8t lose it’s relevance.
Yes. That's like S4 performance
How much HP and torque did you gain? Does it void Audi’s warranty? Are you doing any exhaust mods? I changed the exhaust to AWE track edition, it just cracks me up :)
䨺龘焱轟 I would peg power and torque around 320/390 to the crank. Haven’t dynoed the car yet like I wanted to. My estimates are based off the mod claims from manufacturer, for what it’s worth. To my knowledge it could cause me issues with Audi should I have major drivetrain failure. My dealership seems to support owners having mods on their cars though.
Nice !!!! what's the price of APR ECU upgrade ?
$599
Is the car still holding up? And how many miles is your car already?
Any problems since the tune? And did you opt for the warranty through APR?
Brad Marchand the Licker & Slew Footer I experience some compressor surge in certain rpm ranges. I have another video that covers it. No problems aside from that and APR wasn’t concerned when they watched the video. The tune with the warranty has less power so i opted for power over warranty. The tune is well worth it.
Thanks for the response, looking forward to tuning mine this upcoming week
@@BradMarchandtheSlewFooter how are you liking it?
Just wondering are you doing an exhaust soon?
I find my a4 a bit quite and I do hear the slight burbles when shifting, but I want to bring that natural sound out.
Audilife I have AWE track edition. Super loud
The exhaust is definitely subtle. I just haven’t heard an A4 exhaust that I like the sound of , frankly. The exhaust burbles all sound like farts...not what I’m after. The S4 I had before this car had a nice burble in between shifts that didn’t sound ricey. I may just stick with stock exhaust.
Mister Irrelevant I also have a 15 s5 with the stock exhaust and I don’t plan to change it because it’s sound amazing. But maybe it’s me when I switch between the 2 I feel like the a4 is just muted. I have friends with stock 328s bmw and they sound way better even if its noise is fake, but the exhaust is definitely louder even outside. It feels a bit tesla like when it launches kind of loses that exciting factor without sound Idk.
Audilife I felt the same way when I got into the A4. The whole reason I added the open air intake was to add in some sound. I thought the sound of the turbo would be better than the sound of any aftermarket exhausts I had heard.
I have put 60k miles on my APR Stage 1 tune and no issues. However, I am beginning to worry about the future. How did you launch control ?
Go into dynamic mode and turn traction control off (hold for like 3 seconds to turn off), then simply go into drive, floor the brake (make sure you press really hard and deep), floor the gas, let the boost build and let off the brake.
got a tesla now
You forget to tell him to goto drive assistance settings and turn off 2 settings lol
@@HeadsUP253 No I didn't because you don't have to, I have driven it and tried it myself
Really ? Because without turning those pre sensor & emergency brake assist off you can't be on launch mode @3k rpm hmm because i have same car as you have
Can anybody tell me what wheels these are on the car. I’ve been struggling to find wheels that look good with this color Audi
This was a very rare spec for the ‘18 A4. They’re 18” 10 Y Spoke Audi wheels. Painted black. If you look at the 19” wheels that come on some TT-S models they’re exactly the same just and inch smaller and painted.
@@midwestbmw1292 they look great! Thank you for your help
Hey man, not sure if you still remember. Without launch control and you floor it from a stop, was there noticeable turbo lag?
During the launch control sequence the car builds boost and launches without any turbo lag. That car was a rocket from a standstill.
Woww excelent video!!
I’m now considering APR instead of racechip
jeeez, super nice. Want to do up the allroad with APR. Warranty though :(
losinator501 APR Plus tune is only slightly less power and comes with full power train warranty.
@@midwestbmw1292 unfortunately I can’t do that because I live like 3 hours away from where they’d service my car at the apr installer
Looking to tune my b9 a4 but not trying to void my warranty since its only been a year since ive had it. Anyway to bypass the warranty being voided? I was looking at the jb4 chiptune or racechip but if theres anyway to to tune my car to apr stage 1 and get pass the warranty im all ears. I heard reflashing back to stock could work but how exactly does that work and does it work in general?
SherTV APR PLUS is what you want
APR Plus gives you a powertrain warranty.
Where’d you get your steering wheel customized ?
Robert McGee that’s the factory steering wheel. I believe only the sports package had that wheel and only certain cars had the red stitching.
Mister Irrelevant interesting. I’ve looked at a bunch of s-line trims but haven’t seen any sport packages
Robert McGee I just edited the video thumbnail to show what spec the car was in. The only visible mod done to the car in that pic is lowering springs. Reload the video and check out the thumbnail.
Mister Irrelevant I can’t find it, must be rare
@@robertmcgee3616 The perforated leather with red stitching is only available with the Black Optics Package.
That's way faster than a stock S4.
It’s no lol that shit was slow stock s4 0-60 is little less than 4 second
how many miles did you have on the car before you got it tuned?
Justin Nash waited until it was at 5000.
Still 5sec range 🤔 u sure its tuned ? My a4 b9 apr stage 1 does fast 4 second range 0 to 60
I don’t have the car anymore but it was 100% tuned with APR Stage 1. I sat through the flash myself, at HS Tuning. In my video it’s hitting closer to 4 second 0-60. Not sure where you’re getting 5 seconds.
4 second my ass jackass
Really want to stage 1 my 18' 6MT after seeing this
Angry Whale you won’t regret it.
At least i couldn’t hear that god awful 4 cyl exhaust..... 💀
What do you drive bud? lmfao!
Idk man this is pretty slow if it’s tune
You’re kidding right?
wtf.....
