"It's been a good year for Kamino" - I know what you're saying, but considering the end of Bad Batch ... phrasing? :D On the bartender saying that Mos Espa's problems aren't Freetown's problems - it actually reminded me more of the attitude of Boss Nass at first when asked for assistance for the Naboo against the Trade Federation.
27:57 Another very interesting thing about this shot is that the Empire made quote "battle droids" illegal, which is why KX droids don't wield blasters. Obviously an empire doing a genocide is more than willing to break their own rules away from prying eyes, but it means that someone decided to give them blasters, and possibly had to load them with marksmen programs.
LOVE your Easter Egg breakdowns! One thing I liked that you didn't mention though, is the parallel that both Boba and Omega seem to have a particular affinity for rancors, and now have both ridden one!
31:11 This scene also features R5-D4 slowly rolling across the bay in the background, coming to a stop, and then billowing smoke until the end of the scene. Guess his motivator's still bad, huh?
0:40 I like how star wars technology are continuously improving, like the old X-wings and the resistance's x-wing and how now the first order tie fighter have hyperdrive technology while also having a tail gunner. The technology keeps on getting better.
10:00 Here's another fun fact about Black Krrsantan, he was originally a design for Chewbacca, but George felt it was too scary, so it was changed to the wookie we know and love today. However, Krrsantan had a great design, and great designs never go to waste, so it evidently became a new character when it was used in the new Marvel Star Wars comics.
I was hoping you caught the reference to the bad batch scene with Rex. Rex: Being dead in the empire's eyes does have its advantages Boba: There's an advantage to having people think your dead. I always thought that was a little off in what Rex said during that time but now it makes more sense if they want to link shows at some point in season 2. Then there's Omega's subtle theme heard in episode 2 after Boba and the tuskens take the Pyke's train
In "A New Hope" when Luke and C3pO catch up to R2. R2 detects several creatures approaching. Luke says, "Sand people or worse..." I like to think that the "or worse" that Luke is referring to is one of the sand creatures that Boba and the young Tusken fight and kill.
Great video as always, no Star Wars marathon is complete to me without your end of season videos. The biker gang really should have been called Sons of Anchorhead!
While you mentioned that the way Boba get's dressed by the droids mirrors how the Tuskens dressed him once he formally joined them, he's actually wearing the tusken robes under his armor. He could have just grabbed a spare set of clothes from the Slave One, but he doesn't. He consciously chooses to meld the two parts of his life in that manner. They are both inextricable parts of who he is, and for him they do not conflict, they combine to make him stronger.
"Stranger in a strange land" was originally in the Old Testament and was credited to Moses. Moses was a murderer who then went on to lead the Jews but ultimately never got to go into the Promised Land because he couldn't overcome his anger. I think the biblical reference is more relevant to the Book of Boba Fett if you grok my meaning.
I don't know if this was intended but the train sequence reminded me a lot of settlers shooting bison from trains and some tribes of Native Americans were dependent on those bison. The Sand People in turn are dependent on their Banthas. As I said I don't know if this was deliberate but defending the train against uncivilized raiders, also rung a bell, but I was watching a video about it right before the episode so eh....
jean toni - And the train on its side with the contents both spilling out and being removed is reminiscent of a scene from the movie, Lawrence of Arabia. Even to boxes being opened and discarded because the contents are not useful to the Tuscans/Arab fighters.
The title Stranger in a Strange Land is also originally a reference to the line in the Bible when Moses names his son Gershom ('a stranger there'). He says, "For I have been a stranger in a strange land," reflecting on being a Hebrew in the Egyptian court and then an exile in the desert until he's taken in by the Midianites
I think they need to make a season 2 of Boba. This was a great first season but whatever Favreau wants us to appreciate about Boba hasn’t been seen yet. Also pretty sure it’s already confirmed for a second season
Could be wrong, but the clone troopers in the flashback sounded like they were voiced by Dee Bradley Baker from Clone Wars. Also, this may be a bit of a reach, but the stormtrooper in the sarlacc pit could be another reference to Battlefront (2015). On the map Dune Sea Exchange, there is a sarlacc pit that players often jumped into.
Fantastic as always! Mostly just leaving a comment here for the algorithm, but also in Chapter 7 the Freetown folk reference a "cycler" when preparing to snipe from the roof, which is a reference to the tusken sniper rifle.
As ALWAYS a very thorough and excellent wrap. I would like to hear you mention, as you have so many wonderful times in a very respectful way to the actors that contribute to the success of the Mandalorian and Boba Fett's series. The 2 individuals that do most of the stunts if not much of the acting with Pedro's narrative insertion would be for Brandon Wayne and I think his name is Lateef Crowder. Without their SOLID performances it couldn't come together so convincingly. Brandon has done a lot of the physical acting and even though Pedro does a great voice much of the credit would be to them as well.
I am in shock at how Cad isn't dead but how his breathing tubes are being activated in that scene. Boba's attack with the gaffi stick must have hit whatever is a lung to Cad's species and activate his breathing apparatus
Regarding the Second Yoda Lightsaber, i dont think its a retcon, i think as the Jedi Grandmaster, it stands to reason that Yoda would know and be trained in all forms of ligthsaber combat, as one of those is the use 2 Lightsabers at once, he has a second one just for those occasions.
43:12 when the majordome reads the plate and it says ,,My offer is nothing" it is a direct reference to Godfather 2 scene with Michael Corleone and senator Geary negotiations
The choice that Grogu gets between the armor and the lightsaber can be seen as reminiscent to Shoguns Assassin aka Lone Wolf and Cub where Itto Ogami gives Diagaro (his son) the choice between a ball (to join his mother in death) or the sword (to join his father in the quest for vengeance).
If you listen closely to the sound effects of the Scorpinec droids you can hear that they have borrowed sound effects from ED-209 from the first Robocop movie. Also im pretty sure I also heard the sound of a door opening from Doom
David Filoni had plans for Barris Offee later in the clone wars series. It is highly likely that her story is not over and will be explained. Also we don't know what metal Yoda's lightsaber is made from. Sooooo. It could have survived.
The butcher shop in the fifth episode could be a reference to Satriale’s, the butcher shop the Tony Soprano and the Aprile family crime family operate out of in the Sopranos. Kind of a stretch but considering the show’s inspiration from crime and mob stories it’s plausible.
Hi! Amazing video! In the very last bit about the glass dome in the N1 fighter, I would add that it connects with Ralph McQuarrie's designs for the Y-Wing, which had the same dome in the style of WW2 bombers. There are a few early illustrations featuring it.
Is there some sort of weird UA-cam conspiracy where every SW channel seems to all universally try to pretend that E'Chuta doesn't obviously mean "eat sh*t"?
its was really nice to See The RX Series Dorid in live action since Star Wars Rebels The original Star tours from Disneyland Disney World And Galaxy's Edge DJ Rex
I also think some of the music sounds a lot like what was in the clone wars episode where R2-D2 was kidnapped Don’t know if it’s a deliberate move from the writers but it definitely gave me those vibes So I guess you can call that a connection to the Clone wars
I just realized that LEP droids are probably called that in reference to Lepi which have similar rabbit like ears. How have I never made that connection?
When Nick Nolte’s character is teaching Din Djarin how to ride the native creatures, he reminds Din that Mandalorians used to ride much larger creatures known as Mythosaurs.
I actually think the first reference to those melons that the sand people drink from is actually from the first journal of Ben Kenobi from the Marvel Star Wars Comic
Sooo... The Book of Boba Fett is a 'HUGE' Basket of Easter eggs? :D Nice Hunt though lol By the way I noticed in this show but not sure if it was shown before. The Jawa's are not wearing gloves in this series and you can actually see fur around their hands.
i just dont get why the jawas decided to rescue cobb vanth then trade for his crystals instead of just looting them and leaving him to die like they did with boba fett
Maybe some Jedi put that symbolizes n their doors showing that they agreed with her regarding the Jedi’s involvement in the war. Although she did kill a bunch of people and I don’t think they would have wanted to remember that
I like how proud Alex sounds any time he says "This is the first time it has appeared in live action."
I mean, don’t we all hahaha
Surprised he missed the chef droid spinning its arms like General Grievous.
Honestly, I love the fact that R5-D4 lives with Peli Motto in this show. I’m glad to know that he wasn’t deemed a useless droid.
And R5 and R2 Reunited!!
He's a good droid; knew R2 had a mission that the galaxy relied upon.

Well not great for tapoca city

"It's been a good year for Kamino"
*Cuts to Tipoca city sinking into the depths.*
LOVE your Easter Egg breakdowns! One thing I liked that you didn't mention though, is the parallel that both Boba and Omega seem to have a particular affinity for rancors, and now have both ridden one!

I loved every second one of this show & especially loved that it was so richly filled with tons of things we have loved about Star Wars!
I love how when every new Series ends, the Easter-Egg-Video comes out and my Galaxy gets bigger
Great video as always, no Star Wars marathon is complete to me without your end of season videos. The biker gang really should have been called Sons of Anchorhead!

Aw beautiful ❤

I definitely think the comparison to the American west was on purpose.
Alex and Mollie out here working way too hard
Y'all are legends 🙏

The "Meiloorun fruit" could be first seen in 1983 Return of the Jedi. They're in a basket near frozen Han when Leia thaws him out.
Dang! I didn't catch that. But those are the beasts eggs right?
Could be wrong, but the clone troopers in the flashback sounded like they were voiced by Dee Bradley Baker from Clone Wars. Well-done review! I binge-watched the series and I thought it was much better viewed that way.
I am in shock at how Cad isn't dead but how his breathing tubes are being activated in that scene. Boba's attack with the gaffi stick must have hit whatever is a lung to Cad's species and activate his breathing apparatus

43:12 when the majordome reads the plate and it says ,,My offer is nothing" it is a direct reference to Godfather 2 scene with Michael Corleone and senator Geary negotiations
So many details I didn’t notice lmao you’re incredible
This is the type of video that makes me love the Star Wars lore even more and the show Book of Boba Fett
R.I.P. Razorcrest 🙏
The _real_ Tragedy.
Question, in the episodes that had the Tusken Raiders they always seem to have a fire going, where do they get that wood for a fire in a desert?
Lizard dreams.
Maybe they use other flammable materials like creatures hides/guts?
Banana PooDoo!
If I remember right, Tuskans using hand signs was introduced in KOTOR
I love the prequel trilogy references.
Now you can play as boba fett in his own palace in battlefront 2
Can’t imagine the homework that went into this. Hats off to you sir! 👌🏻
If you listen closely to the sound effects of the Scorpinec droids you can hear that they have borrowed sound effects from ED-209 from the first Robocop movie. Also im pretty sure I also heard the sound of a door opening from Doom
Thank you, Alex! ❧
Amazing recap Alex.
There is also at least one scene where Boba brushes his fingers along his cheek to mimic Marlon Brando's gesture in The Godfather, Part 1.
Thank you for this video.
"It's been a good year for Kamino..."
The Kaminoans would beg to differ.
I’ve been looking forward to this😉
"And she bare him a son, and he called his name Gershom: for he said, I have been a stranger in a strange land. " Exodus 2:22
Another amazing video
that blue vespa thing remind me so much about jeremy clarkson vespa from the top gear vietnam special
The shield armor arm thing was scene in the classic clone wars cartoon movie from a assassin obi wan fights
41:10 I knew I couldn't be the only one!
Crashing into the cart might be a reference to Back to the future
The halo is a direct replica of the ringworld from the book Ringworld by Larry Niven.
THAT is a high number😯🙌
David Filoni had plans for Barris Offee later in the clone wars series. It is highly likely that her story is not over and will be explained. Also we don't know what metal Yoda's lightsaber is made from. Sooooo. It could have survived.
Thanks for this!
6:18 is listed as Cantina Latina and the guitar is played by Robert Rodriguez
The butcher shop in the fifth episode could be a reference to Satriale’s, the butcher shop the Tony Soprano and the Aprile family crime family operate out of in the Sopranos. Kind of a stretch but considering the show’s inspiration from crime and mob stories it’s plausible.
The way Din decapitated a body behind the butcher shop curtains kinda reminded me of Chris and Furio cutting up Richie at Satriales.
5:54 I couldn’t care less if the cowards at Disney have made it non canon, Max’s music will always be called Jizz to me
15:00 my head canon is: that Bomar Monk is Bib Fortuna’s that Boba let Fennec do offscreen or sum 😂
Found another one! Din uses a vibroshiv/vibroblade when figting with Vizla.
Kitster is going to be in Obi-Wan. Calling it. And Wizard is our 1st hint to that...
On Chapter 6, I first thought that temple was on Chandrila.
Was just about to head to bed… I guess sleep can wait for this
I say that the scenes between Luke and Grogu is the most beautiful scenes ever from the Star Wars universe.
There was a Biff playing with Max in Janna’s palace. I think he may be the Jim stein man to Max’s Meatloaf
Perfect thumbnail
Hi! Amazing video! In the very last bit about the glass dome in the N1 fighter, I would add that it connects with Ralph McQuarrie's designs for the Y-Wing, which had the same dome in the style of WW2 bombers. There are a few early illustrations featuring it.
“It’s been a good year for kamino” seeing it getting destroyed in the bad batch
The Scorpion Droids remind me of the Droids u fight in the SW Republic Commandoes video game, recently rereleased for PS4 with Racer.
Another easter egg. During the meeting scene in episode 6, you can see the infamous bounty hunter Boba Fett for 30 seconds
Is there some sort of weird UA-cam conspiracy where every SW channel seems to all universally try to pretend that E'Chuta doesn't obviously mean "eat sh*t"?
Cant believe you missed the callback to lone wolf and cub reference between luke and grogu with yodas lightsaber and the mandalorian gift
i would have said the ring looked like the ring/moon from treassure planet it looked like
37:28 wait wasn't it luke who pulled him on each of leaps ?
its was really nice to See The RX Series Dorid in live action since Star Wars Rebels
The original Star tours from Disneyland Disney World
And Galaxy's Edge DJ Rex
26:10 what about jincoln cadera's beskar sword
Awesome video buddy
Also, in the last episode, when the Gamorreans fall, they scream like the Acklay in Attack of The Clones
Awesome Vid
I also think some of the music sounds a lot like what was in the clone wars episode where R2-D2 was kidnapped
Don’t know if it’s a deliberate move from the writers but it definitely gave me those vibes
So I guess you can call that a connection to the Clone wars
I just realized that LEP droids are probably called that in reference to Lepi which have similar rabbit like ears. How have I never made that connection?
When Nick Nolte’s character is teaching Din Djarin how to ride the native creatures, he reminds Din that Mandalorians used to ride much larger creatures known as Mythosaurs.
You can ride a Plunk Droid in the LEGO Clone Wars game, in the level based on the "Rookies" episode.
Lol "it's been a good year for kamino" .. kamnio literally gets destroyed in bad batch 😅
What if Mary Elizabeth Winstead is Barriss Offee? :0
And, hey, bassist Thundercat as the modifier guy was a great cameo!
I actually think the first reference to those melons that the sand people drink from is actually from the first journal of Ben Kenobi from the Marvel Star Wars Comic
Sooo... The Book of Boba Fett is a 'HUGE' Basket of Easter eggs? :D Nice Hunt though lol
By the way I noticed in this show but not sure if it was shown before. The Jawa's are not wearing gloves in this series and you can actually see fur around their hands.
what about when the rancor has the droid in a headlock and boba says "do it". Clear reference to anakin killing dooku.
39:54 *The Banana Republics approve*
13:28 it’s actually just a sea urchin shell.
14:08 "Bobo" lol
i just dont get why the jawas decided to rescue cobb vanth then trade for his crystals instead of just looting them and leaving him to die like they did with boba fett
Maybe the crest is meant to mean that the quarters on that floor are for mirialan jedi.
Mythosaur return = Mandalorian version of Jurassic Park? Maybe the dark saber gets hidden in a faux Barbasol can ...
Ah yes attack the eye like with EVERY SINGLE ZELDA BOSS
Karen Traviss's Mandalorians were the best.
I loved her books, so much great Mandalorian lore.
40:01 Swole 3PO
Maybe some Jedi put that symbolizes n their doors showing that they agreed with her regarding the Jedi’s involvement in the war. Although she did kill a bunch of people and I don’t think they would have wanted to remember that
Was that BD-1 in the thumbnail?
Don't worry max rebo appears in the lego starwars holiday special so they are still alive after episode 9
