I think Boba on the Rancor with the "it'll take a while to learn" is pretty much the same as Mando flying with the jetpack 2 minutes after the Armorer told him it would take training to get it to listen. At least Boba had time to learn off screen. Also, I feel like it's more impactful seeing him ride it for the first time into battle rather than while training.
@1993DJC while still impressive he really just blasts into the air then shoots the grapple rope, uses it to boost closer to the Tie, and then uses it to have a rather rough landing. He doesn't really fly it around like they do later
@@RevanMartinez fingers crossed for a season 2 and maybe more rancor training cuz he did end up loosing control of the rancor when it got scared of fire so it would make sense for him to train more I just want a second season
It's a strange series, but I overall enjoyed it. Nothing great, but not even close to the trainwreck that I've seen others portray it as. Yeah, it's got some flaws, but I overall liked Boba's journey.
Agreed, the universal hatred for this show was shocking to me. Star Wars fans are genuinely the most insufferable fanbase of all time. It wasn't perfect by any means but it was a damn good show. And I hope we get a second season.
I think this series needed a few more episodes. A couple more focusing back on Fett and Shand after the Mando stuff would have been enough for me. I kinda hate these short seasons. 15 or even 10 episodes would have been enough time to breathe. As is tho I really enjoyed it! Just wish we had more time.
It was probably too expensive to have more than seven episodes however I think we should have gotten 12 episodes instead. Boba needed a few more episodes of him running the city to flesh out the town more.
@@Zay9xx Reports claims that Andor season 1 would have 12 episodes, but I think we need to wait and see. It feels weird for that series to have more than 10 episodes of all the series. From Marvel Studios side, WandaVision had 9 episodes. And She-Hulk was promised to have 10.
I’m not sure if it’s a British thing but most of our TV shows are around six to eight episodes long, so I’m used to these shorter series styles. For me ten to fifteen episodes might be too much
As a show that has so many flashbacks, I feel they dropped the ball on not flashing back on Boba’s relationship with Cad Bane. That character looked BA, busy as I haven’t watched any animated shows nor read the books/comics I knew nothing about him. Thanks to this channel I could appreciate the backstory more. Which shows they needed to give that arc a little more screen time.
@@CastOfCharacters13 I hope we get a season 2 where cad is still alive and boba has nightmares about killing him because he helped raise him and they end up having to resolve it throughout the season
I agree with to a point. They built a story in the first 4 Episodes, and then just had about an Episode and half of The Mandolorian, and a good portion of the 7th as well. It made the Series feel disjointed and even. It was to bring Mando into the show, but all the Armorer, Grogu, Luke and Asoka material should have been in Mando Season 3 - They just didn't have a place in The story built in Episodes 1-4. They could started 5 the same way, Mando drops the head off, and heads to Taitonne. You could have still included the ship building part, and then Fennec appears at the half way point. You then could spent the rest of that episode, and the rest of time with Boba and the Rancor, The Mods, the people of Freetown, etc,. Leading to the Final Showdown. When your series is titled "The Clone Wars" it doesn't feel weird to go into different directions. When your series is titled 'The Book of Boba Fett", and they did what they did.... I enjoyed a lot, but because of the disjointed feel, it's a C for the Season for me.
SIMPLE FIX: for every Din, Grogu, and Luke episode ADD A BOBA EPISODE. Keep 5 and 6 where they were but have the new episode 7 and 8 show what Boba was doing at that time developing his character and ramping up to the themes in the Episode 9 finale even more. Giving us more Boba, Fennec, Rancor, Cad Bane whatever we needed in the episodes before the finale to further heighten the emotions felt in the Boba-centered final episode.
My favorite thing about this video is that I get vibes that you love the star wars universe, but there's no gatekeeping or feeling like only movies over 10 years old can be good. Thanks for the positivity! The world of star wars needs more of that.
It was fine. The Mandalorian episodes should have been saved for season 3 of the Mandalorian and Boba should have been portrayed somewhat more competently. For me personally, he seemed kinda lost too often. Still enjoyed the season. But I don’t think I would have followed it if it wasn‘t Star Wars. I get that it’s a larger universe, but I think every story needs to be good enough so that it could theoretically stand on its own.
What I enjoyed most about this series is the hints of biblical imagery used. The first episode title is a quote taken from the book of Exodus(the Second book in the Old Testament much like how book of boba is the second show in the Mando verse). Even the larger story in Exodus is essentially a man(Moses) leading a larger community to a better life much like Boba. They both even receive visions that fuel their journeys to becoming leaders.
While just focusing on Boba all the time might have worked- there's something to be said for involving the Mando and Grodu after Boba helped save Grogu from the Empire. It'd be weird to just leave Boba hanging in his hour of need- and similarly weird to introduce the mando without properly establishing context on what's going on with both.
Great review Alex, as always. As an addition to all you said, I think The Book of Boba Fett also did a very compelling work in the development of The Mandalorian's journey through his bond with Boba. Especially considering the situation Din found himself in after winning the Darksaber in combat and completing his mission by returning Grogu to the Jedi. A point at which we might think that he had achieved everything, but that Favreau and Filoni have make his "Empire Strikes Back", meaning the loss not only of his emotional bond (Grogu), but also being disowned so much by the Mandalorian nobility (Bo Katan, disappearing from the map since she was not the one who took the sword), the clergy (The Armorer, the spiritual leader who sends him to ostracism for considering him impure) and even his comrades-in-arms (Paz Vizsla). In this setting, both The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett have focused on Boba as the voice of the working class. The common people. The simple man making his way through the galaxy, like his father before him. The one Bo Katan reviled for considering him an inferior Mandalorian as the clone he is. The one gathering Fennec Shand, the Gamorreans, Krrsantan, the kids from the streets and even the people of Freetown to forge a comminity because he was tired of his kind (the working class) dying because of the idiocy of others. And when Mando returns to Tatooine, one of the most low profile worlds in the galaxy, he found true brotherhood not only with Boba Fett, but with the people he represents. The part where they both decide to go against the Pykes Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid style willing to die for each other, not because of any kind of class contract, creed, or money, but because of the true honor of having found their true peers, it represents the resolution of the journey of a Mando who has been wandering alone throughout the Galaxy throughout the season and who has finally found his place, as his Jedi brother Grogu also does. All of that in Tatooine, the same place that the Force continually told Anakin in the PT that this was where he needed to be. Not with the political nobility of Coruscant, not with the clergy of the Jedi Order, but back in there. With the people. Mando and Boba fighting together as one, something Din didn't found with the Armorer not with Bo Katan, is like the closure to an arc in which Mando has found himself more lost than ever, finally finding his own. The real workers who, like him in the first season, are the ones who get the work done. I suspect that this union forged here between Mando and Boba will grow as the series progresses as two characters that have been united since the beginning. Mando being introduced as a new iteration of Boba at the beginning of his series. Boba Fett answering the call as the prime Mandalorian when Mando and Grogu arrived at the galaxy's summoning center on Tython. I wouldn't rule out that in the future it would be Boba Fett who helps Mando to ride the Mythosaur as he did with the Rancor when Mando wasn't able to pass that test. Beyond that, I find it very interesting how at this moment in the galaxy with hardly any Jedi, it is the Mandalorians who are acting as "Rangers of the New Republic", ensuring peace and stability on the edge of the Republic. Sabine in Lothal, Mando in Nevarro, Boba Fett in Tatooine... That it was Mando who helped Ahsoka on Corvus is almost a representation of what is happening in the Galaxy, with the Mandalorians becoming the armor of the worlds while the Jedi continue the spiritual reconstruction that we are seeing through Ahsoka (the old ways), Luke (the new ways) and Grogu (the core of everything the Jedi are, becoming ill with the fall of the order, and guiding Luke in his new path as a teacher when he chooses chain mail from his bond instead of Yoda's sword).
Overall, I felt The Book of Boba Fett is a decent series overall. Yes, there were some bad decisions and episodes 5 and 6 really took away the spotlight from Boba which I was very disappointed. Episode 7 redeemed the show for me. We finally get to see Boba and Mando use their jetpacks and absolutely destroy the Pykes and Boba riding a rancor left me speechless. Overall, this show was a decent show and it nice a B tier show.
I do like the idea of calling it Tales from the Outer Rim because I feel like a lot of the miscommunication was that this was supposed to be Boba's show and the umbrella name would eliminate that misunderstanding. I don't think we can compare what we're seeing to Clone Wars because Clone Wars was never meant to follow just one character, hence why it wasn't called The Anakin Show
I think this is my favorite channel for Star Wars reviews and lore. I loved the finale and was surprised to see other channels that said the finale was straight up terrible
I could see us looking back on this season with a bit more understanding later down the road if another season comes or even with Mandalorian Season 3. I remember finding a few episodes weaker than others in both shows, but by the time the finale came around, I understood the significance of those ‘weaker’ episodes. Naturally, this is just how I see it, I don’t expect everyone to feel the same as I do. Overall, I was satisfied with what we got in The Book of Boba Fett. It’s not perfect, but it’s still enjoyable to watch. Do I hope we get a second season, absolutely. If not, fine, I can expect that. I am very excited to see where Filoni and Favreau take this story next with Mandalorian Season 3 at the end of this year. Until then, bring on Obi Wan Kenobi, Bad Batch Season 2 and Andor.
I loved this series from start to finish, much more than I thought I would. It made me care about Boba Fett in a way that I hadn't before. Don't get me wrong, I've always liked the character but I never felt desperate to see more of him until The Mandalorian S2. I loved his arc to recreate himself, all the stuff with the Tuskens, him meeting Fennec, saving her and the start of their friendship and then all the stuff in the present day with him recovering from old wounds and trying to fit into this new position he's chosen for himself. Likewise, as a fan of the prequels and TCW, it felt so rewarding for all those aspects to be brought in. Temuera Morrison did a fantastic job as Boba and so did Ming-Na Wen as Fennec. I hope we get a Season 2, I'd love to see more of them as those characters. And it was amazing to see so many aspects of other Star Wars media being brought into this show and liveaction; Black Krrsantan, the history of the Darksaber, a BD droid, the Pykes, Cad Bane, especially, I was thrilled at how much they touched on his history with Boba and Jango. Not to mention the return of elements like the N1 starfighter, the expansion of the Tuskens, all that was great to see. It all felt like a love letter to all different eras of Star Wars. All that said, I do fully admit that some of the stuff we saw felt weird to see in a Boba Fett series, the stuff with Luke, especially, but by the end of Chapter 7, I felt I understood enough why we saw what we saw, particularly with Grogu and his decision to return to Din. And I still feel the episode with Luke had similiar themes to Boba's story like how Din's story in Chapter 5 did. Boba is trying to rebuild himself and move into a new role in life, Luke is trying to rebuild the Jedi and do the same. The fact that Luke and Ahsoka know each other excites me to no end and yeah I wish we had more time to explore that but I think that time will come so I can be patient and just accept what we got for now happily. I can accept all these shows being treated as one, larger overarching story because that's what they are, they've made it no secret that's how they are being viewed and marketed by the creators, they literally called Book of Boba "the next chapter" in The Mandalorian story and I think Mando S3 will make even more sense of it when it finally arrives.
Agreed, @Ice. I won’t do you the disservice of restating what you said in your comment, but I will just add that this really felt like Star Wars to me. Mythic and pulpy, veiled themes of rebirth and obvious lessons on the power of community, with enough titillating action and tip of the iceberg storytelling to keep us coming back week after week. I want more!
I’ll just be honest. When the characters and material are this beloved, it really needs to be excellent. As much as I loved the Tusken Raiders part of the storyline, I thought the rest of the season was disjointed and just not very well told. I did like the Mando episode and most of the Luke, though their were a few confusing choices there. I’m not sure why, but Robert Rodriguez forgot how to direct for some reason and Favreau saw some of his worst dialogue and writing that I’ve experienced yet, in many of these episodes. I just hope we get a better season of Mando and that Obi Wan fares better.
I agree with pretty much all you said. Also, I think Favreau just is not a very good storyteller to be honest. He's an enthusiastic guy who the powers that be trust, but to me it seems he has very little to say other than "I'm doing the same thing I did when playing with my action figures as a kid"
Agreed. The story was disjointed and, my god, the dialogue is horrible. Someone also got to explain to me why does a man who was born and raised to be a killer by Jango (if the rancor symbolism is to be taken at face value), grew up in the Galaxy's underworld after Jango's death, and became the galaxy's most feared bounty hunter in his prime needs to be whispered in his ear constantly about how criminal underworld works?
I don’t understand how fans wanted such a stoic & mysterious assassin with no emotions or remorse & were dissapointment by his revealed past & childhood in AotC & the Clone Wars when he literally gets defeated in the OT by a blind man accidentally hitting him with a staff. A character can still be badass & have human emotions
I am struck by a memory of an article last summer (maybe Collider?) that quoted a source describing this show as Mandalorian season 2.5, telling us outright that there was going to be lots of crossover. It is unusual for me to have forgotten that much detail about a forthcoming show I was so eager to see. By the premiere, I watched with no expectations and was surprised like everyone at the number and depth of crossover. I too have a few reservations about Luke/Ahsoka meeting (fingers crossed for Hayden/Anakin to show up to talk to her) and the swift reunion of Grogu and Din. But from a real world standpoint, it would be a hard ask of Disney to not feature one of the most popular characters in their universe in a season of the show on which he stars, though I doubt that corporate interests drive the creatives on these shows.
Yeah, this series was definitely weird for me. Mostly good, but it made some very off decisions here and there. The Mando stuff should have been saved for The Mandalorian. That being said, I hope there's a Season Two for BOBF, so that we can have more time with Fett and hopefully do some good for him.
The most egregious part is how Boba Fett seemed to go from "Indigenous Rights" to "Settler's Rights". When he needed muscle who did he turn to, the Tuskens or the settlers? Who did he claim as his people in the finale, the Tuskens or the city folk? We didn't get a hint at how Boba intends to handle the conflict between the Tuskens and Offworlders. Boba didn't even avenge his adopted family, Fennec did that. They leaned so hard on western tropes, like the townsfolk rallying to fight the bandits, they abandoned one of the best parts of the show. Its a shame they didn't do that storyline justice since Temura Morrison is Maori.
I think I agree with everything you said about the show. I would like to add a personal consideration: I don't have anything against TBOBF and The Mandalorian, also I think Kenobi and Andor will be great... That said, I think the only important things left that we NEED to see from this era are a conclusion to Mando's story and to Ezra-Thrawn and Ahsoka's one. Once we'll get that, and I hope we will soon, I'd be more than happy to consider this part of the saga closed. Don't get me wrong I love these characters, but how long we'll be excited to see them popping up everywhere? I feel like we'll eventually need something new or it will get boring really easily. Set the next chapter centuries in the future or in the past and start up with new characters and new ideas!!
I looked forward to every episode, enjoyed every episode and loved the characters. (Jennifer Beal better have gotten some bacta tank time) Yeah the storytelling was jumpy between the flashbacks and redirects, but I enjoyed the results. I have opinions on how things should have been done different for effectively every movie, but they don't detract from my enjoyment. I hope we have tons of shows and movies for the rest of my life, some will be better and some won't. Give it to me anyway.
I really dont get where this idea of EU boba came from. This is the same guy who was expressly against pre marital sex and was an honor bond warrior for most of his life.
if they didn't have those episodes with Mando, Luke, Grogu and Ahsoka, then the finale wouldn't make a ton of sense. I feel like they're creating a mini Star Wars universe with these series and that's also why they may have had those episodes in it, that way people watching the different series will know the growth and change in all of the characters
It did take some getting used to but I wound up loving this series. The first few episodes were really enjoyable, but I was having trouble seeing Boba as the same character from before. I was really enjoying him, but the A to B was really unclear to me at first. Then it suddenly clicked for me between episodes 3 and 4. And now I absolutely love the arc he goes through in this, and the payoff of the finale was just amazing!
I get why you say it was weird, but for me this ended up being my favorite of the TV shows so far (including Obi). I love a good redemption story and always had a special interest in learning more about both Boba and Mos Epsa.
I love how your recent videos explore Star Wars through a thematic and analytical lens rather than just the literal, Wookieepedia-esque sequence of events. It really helps contextualize some of the more confusing narrative decisions.
My biggest issue is that rushing Mando and Grogu's reunion in a show that wasn't meant to be about them also does a HUGE disservice to The Mandalorian as its own series, not just BOBF. Imagine, in the future, a casual viewer watching Mandalorian for the first time and they go from Season 2 straight to Season 3. It's going to be so jarring and confusing to see Mando let go of Grogu only for them to be together again immediately in the premier of next season. Sure they'll recap what happened but still; being forced to watch ANOTHER show to learn about what happens to the ones in the original is such a wonky storytelling choice. Just because these future Star Wars shows are gonna be crossing over, that doesn't mean characters' arcs should happen in other characters' shows. The Clone Wars jumping around made sense because it was all about the Clone Wars and the hundreds of characters involved. This was the Book of Boba Fett. We didn't need Luke, Grogu, Ahsoka, etc.
Nice to see a comments section without all the hate for this show. I think we've all been spoiled with the Mandalorian 😂 Too many folks expected RotJ Boba. Well RotJ Boba got beaten by a blind man and left to rot in a Sarlacs stomach with no thought and with no one to miss him. It's enough to make anyone feel alone and in need of a change. Just let his character develop! 😅 This series was messy, but honestly looking at the whole thing as part of one big story with the other shows helps to no end. I really enjoyed it. It reminded me of The Clone Wars a bit for some reason. If you didn't, that's fine too, but a lot of people are going a bit crazy about it. I'm hoping it'll be looked back on a little more fondly in the future and I am really hoping for a season 2. Not sure which other show Cob Vanth will show up in otherwise.
Everyone seems to be glossing over Amy Sedaris's character Peli Motto (one of the 1st to meet him) actually understood Grogu all along!!!!! This is displayed when she says "Grogu? Well that's an unfortunate name"... she met him long before Ashoka, this made me want to go back & re-watch some of her earlier interactions, this certainly adds another layer to those scenes & shows that Peli could have sold out Mando several times. I think this breadcrumb was intentional.
One of the few yt commentators who seems to get what the series is trying to achieve, especially Re this being part of an overall larger series thanks!
While I would have liked more episodes focusing on Boba, I think that's more of an issue of the length of the season than a problem with having some episodes that focus on other characters, especially when there are loose ends in the plot that need to be addressed before it makes sense for them to meet up with Boba. I'm really glad that they took the time to show us some epilogue for Mando season 2 before bringing them into BoBF; it would have disappointing to leave either of them out, and we all would've had to wait a whole additional year to find out if Din and Grogu are reunited. The other big positive we get from having a few episodes less focused directly on the eponymous character is that it probably means the other upcoming spin-off shows will also feature other characters like that, which not only makes for more interesting and varied stories that take place in different locations and from other time periods, but it also means that, even if a person is not a big fan of the titular character specifically, or is not really interested in their main storyline, they shouldn't assume that the show won't have anything more up their alley. As a life-long Boba Fettishist, I was *beyond* excited about BoBF... but I wasn't really excited about Ahsoka, I couldn't care less about Cassian Andor, and I don't like Obi-Wan, so I wasn't really looking forward to those shows at all... but after seeing that BoBF wasn't 100% All Boba, All The Time, I am much more curious about who and what else we'll get to see in those other shows and am looking forward to them now.
So just as I was watching this I had an epiphany of sorts. So, the spin-off side story episodes about Din and Grogu, they feel less like side stories when you consider the theme about Boba having lived the life he lived because he lost his father. It fits thematically, Din and Grogu are like an ideal version of what Jango and Boba could’ve been. A loving bond, between a bounty hunter and a child, and this time nobody’s leaving anybody behind. When Boba finally finishes his fight and fully reinvents himself as this benevolent leader, he also sees this new generation off on their way into the stars to live the life he always wanted as a child and lost when Windu guillotined Jango and forcibly separated them. Din and Grogu though are inseparable. They’re emblematic of his past struggles with separation and loss. It’s kinda powerful in that way. I just hadn’t really thought of it like that until I saw this video and heard some of the themes and the criticisms elaborated.
Makes sense. Though if that was the goal, it could have been presented better. The main “problem” for me in that sense, is that the Din/Grogu part should have been spread across multiple episodes, thematically linking pieces of Boba’s story with Din/Grogu’s story in each episode. Like for example we see Boba dreaming about his father and then we cut to Din/Grogu experiencing something somewhat related/similar. I’m sure everyone involved will learn from this and I’m sure they see many of the same “issues” we see. In the end it doesn’t really matter, I enjoyed it.
Yeah I agree wholeheartedly. It could’ve been presented better, instead of all in one episode and then another episode back to back like they did maybe have it as a running B plot for a few episodes while we still keep cutting back to Boba and what he’s doing. That said, I dislike it less in light of the ways it fits these themes. And yeah I imagine they’ll do better next time.
Very good summary - I especially agree that the two interlude episodes belonged in a Season 3 of the Mandolorian, while they missed out on an opportunity on Boba Fett to go deeper into the story. It seemed just a plot device to bring Grogu back to save the day - but the finale could also have been the opener for Season 2 of Boba Fett - having left it on a good cliffhanger....
There was a lot to like in the series. I thought Cad Bane was a super compelling villain. I think they're setting up Boba Fett to be a new Mandalorian. Hence the tie-in.
I like your synopsis on the series. I have listened to a few others on UA-cam , and their's are too fanboyish for me but also good. . Just wanted to say you hit the mark on it . Good job 👍
Like your explanations. I really liked Boba's personal growth. I loved the Rancor. I loved all the elements from the comics and games. You are correct. The introductions of the characters who were in CW, games, and fan fiction were such that new viewers would be able to get it. They would likely want to see all those episodes. I loved the episodes about Din, Luke, and Asoka. It is like a novel that jumps around from place to place. I wanted to see more riding the Rancor. Stories needed more time. I was saddened and agreed that the stories were rushed . Cad Bane gives the shivers. There are many more stories. Tales of the outer rim would be a good idea. Then, the jumps would be accounted for
The vison quest, seeing the dessert becomming water, two mentions of Tatooine once being covered in water, Boba growing up on an planet covered in water, The pikes basically looking like fish, Bobas quarrel with a water merchant. All these water based clues came together in a brilliant ending, with what felt like the two smallest street gangs ever fighting it out on a corner of the city? Eh okay?
You see, we have this box, and what's in the box is a mystery...😆 But seriously, the final scene of the sequel trilogy takes place on a VERY desert-y Tatooine, so just call that stuff a JJ Abrams style dead-end.
The Mandalorian: Spends an entire montage showing Din learning to ride a Blurgh, an animal nobody cares about Book of Boba Fett: Spends an entire NOTHING showing Boba learning to ride a Rancor, an animal most fans love to see
This is a really solid review (not just because I agree). I keep having two thoughts... The first is that Disney didn't provide enough budget for the series (or at least enough budget for what fans expected the season to be). The lack of character development for the Mods, or building the connection between Boba and Garsa Fwip, or Boba and the Mods (which would better explain why he decided to defend the ruins of the sanctuary), not having the extra scenes showing Boba learning to ride the Rancor, etc... The other thought is that some "editing" by a Disney committee led to the odd focus in chapters 5 & 6. By this, I mean, "Hey, we need to have a bigger focus on Mando and Grogu so we can sell more toys" kind of editing (I also think that may explain the Vespa aesthetic). I think you hit on the budget issue in your 20 questions video. The monetization of the series issue is another story. I imagine that if the Lego Group was going to do sets based on the Book of Boba, what we'd get is Mando's N-1 and Luke's new Jedi Academy (I suppose a Mos Espa playset with Boba riding the Rancor is also a possibility...). But Disney's ability to push the series in specific directions - to create monetization opportunities can not be underestimated...
I'm curious about how the people who don't like that we cut away from Boba for two episodes feel about the episodes of "The Clone Wars" that have nothing to do with the war or the Clones. The Mortis episodes are barely connected to the rest of the series, but I don't see people rioting against them.
I give the overall series a 7.5/10, my favorite episode is episode 2. the finale was filled with action which was epic, and gave me many vibes. It is also the first series i have ever watched live, basically the first ever series to come out after i became a huge star wars fan.
I agree with your assessment. Cad Bane, BK, Cobb Vanth all made sense in this show. Luke, Ashoka, Grogu and Mando were like a “hey guys these guys have their own show retuning or soon to air, don’t forget they are here” we all want more Luke and Grogu training, but why not give them a show off their own. Now Mando already has Grogu back, so if you did not Watch Boba, season 3 of Mando will have Grogu back and people will be like what happened to Luke? Ashoka was like cameo on top of 2 other cameos shoved in.
I liked the series overall, but the two key issues I had were indeed, a) The Mandalorian stuff, especially the major reset to his status quo - not everyone is going to be following everything, although I've been watching The Mandalorian, and ultimately did end up watching Book of Boba Fett, I originally wasn't planning on watching BoBF, and I'm sure there must be others who _haven't_ who will wonder why the season 2 ending seems to have been abandoned at the start of the season 3. b) the other thing that I think is more of a missed opportunity than an issue, is since the theme is Boba finding his own identity after Jango pushing Bounty Hunting onto him, show some of that in the flashbacks - every time the Kamino flashback showed up, I thought we were going to see more, with Temura in the Jango armour, indoctrinating young Boba, even if they had to keep Jango's helmet on to save budget on de aging Morrison, or avoided showing Boba's face so they didn't have to do anything too dynamic with the render of young Daniel Logan's face, it'd be something. For that matter, use the flashbacks to help establish Bane working as Boba's second mentor after the death of Jango. It could just be a very quick scene, something new that wasn't in Clone Wars to help establish, bounty hunting wasn't something Boba exactly "chose" to do with his life per se.
I liked the documentary on Tusken culture, and the Mandalorian season 2.5. I feel they could have put more substance into Boba's past after the Clone Wars and up to Return of the Jedi, especially for people who have only seen the films and the TV shows.
I love your analysis. So much of what I felt plus a little more. And the phrase, "Din's empty nest syndrome" was both hilarious and perfect. In another video you mentioned how the "war" felt like 20 or so people verses 20 or so people. Not much of a war.n I felt like that throughout the series. He takes over Jabba's major crime empire and runs it with very few people who seem to have very little structure to their duties or tools. And this is of course highlighted in the end with this war. But luckily the Pikes with one of the biggest crime organizations in the galaxy decide to just attack with a handful of troops. Also interesting how they wait to unleash the droids or Cad Bane until after their first soldiers die. Why not overwhelm their enemy with everything at once? And where are their ships? They could have bombarded and laid waste to the city easily with their ships. Fett's ship could have been used in the battle too. There just seems to be holes in all of this. But the show was very enjoyable with some really epic moments much of which you mentioned in your video.
I really hope that the “all easter eggs” video includes the fact that the end credits theme is extremely similar to a song from a 1980s Swedish children’s movie, Ronja the Robber’s daughter. The fact that the composer is Swedish makes it impossible to just be a coincidence.
I thought this show was an absolute joy to watch, just like the first two seasons of Mando. I have zero issue with the sidebars, because they're building one huge universe here, not just one show.
Somebody in an UA-cam video said that this season was set up kinda like an Arch in Clone Wars and I think that explains it perfectly and explains some of the issues people have expecting to be a normal season of a show
Reasons I like the Mod gang in episodes 3 and 7. 1. I like things that are unusual for Star Wars. It never had time travel before until towards the end of Rebels season 4 with the "World between worlds" Some could say that it feels out of place for Star wars. I loved it and the mods for being something different.. 2. I Really like Drash, the one with the red droid arm played by Sophie Thatcher. Not only do I think she is cute, she reminds me of a friend . I like how she uses her knife, how she drives her scooter, how she is determined to accomplish what ever it is that she wants to. She is a bad ass and she also reminds my of Jyn Erso from Rogue One. 3. I think that young people as a group has never been explored or represented in Star Wars before besides Younglings and I think it is about time they are. 4. Having the Mods in the show, allows the viewer to see things from a different perspective. we didn't know that there were not job opportunities. We need to see all different types of people on Tattoine, not just moisture farmers, gangsters, crime boss's, Jawa's, Sand people, business owners, Twi'lek slaves and musicians. Why can't we have teenagers or people in their 20's? Star Wars is for everyone, not just small children and men in their 40'sand 50's. 5. I like that the mods are cybernetically enhanced. I recently watched Alita Battle Angel and wished that they could some how do something like that in Star Wars and in Boba Fett episodes 3 and 7, they did! Droids parts on Humans is not new for Star Wars. Besides Fennec Shand and the mods, other Star Wars characters that were cybernetically enhanced are: Anikin Skywalker/Darth Vader Darth Maul in the Clone Wars Echo from Clone Wars/Bad Batch General Grievous Lobot-Lando's aid from Cloud City Luke Skywalker Savage Opress- Darth Maul's brother in the Clone wars Saw Gerrera in Rogue One ===================================
Would people feel differently if the series didn’t have Boba Fett in the name? It could have just been called “Bounty Hunters” and then it would make sense to be about Boba, Mando, and Bane.
Maybe, but if that were the case the best way to fix that issue would be to split the 6th episode into a Mando episode with more Luke and Grogu scenes, and a Cad Bane episode that had flashbacks to Boba's past. Then maybe rearranging the episodes a bit.
Totally agree. With only seven episodes they took too much space with Mando and Grogu. Loved it all but it was odd and a bit disconcerting. The Boba Fet story needed to be more developed, but there was no time. Look forward to more and more!
i basically agree with everything said here !!! i’ve also given a lot of thought to the stuff with grogu and luke and figured maybe it just all would’ve meant a lot more in mando season 3, and you could work with it by having the n-1 star fighter not be ready when din comes to pick it up so he waits in a cantina when fennec shand approaches to tell him about helping boba. that way we could get so much more bonding time between boba and the rancor, maybe even a way to get boba to talk to other tusken tribes across the desert and earn their trust and respect by showing his gaffi stick so they could also help in the battle of mos espa. all just wishful thinking of course but had the season been just a bit more focused on it’s title character and his journey, i reckon i’d have been much more satisfied by the finale also i miss boba’s parachute pants from mando season 2, his new look is defs an improvement from his old empire look but the pants were so stylish !!
Just found your channel. Glad I subscribed. Great reviews. Looking forward to more content. In my opinion the reason the show wasn't received amongst everyone is most people expected the show to be epic and its not. Its a good show but our expectations of Jon and Dave are higher now and they fumbled a bit on this season.
I agree. I think the Mandalorian as a single Episode interlude was great, but much of Episodes 6-7 belonged to Mandalorian Season 3 imho, and it’s also confusing for people who aren’t interested in BOBF and ignore it. The they watch Mando season 3 later this year and find him inexplicably back together with Grogu. As much as I liked these episodes and don’t mind it as a hardcore Fan who watches almost all of it, it’s Crossover and cross-promotion at its worst as you actually need to watch both shows in order to get what‘s going on in either show. That’s something I feel Star Wars was pretty good at avoiding so far as the crossover elements didn’t distract from the main event but were something that added something for die hard fans. I still think it’s a Good Show and I am still amazed at how hard it was to tell practical elements from CGI and studio shoots from location shoots from set extensions. No other show does it quite this seamless.
as much as i loved episode 5 and 6 i really think they should have just saved both those episodes for Mando Season 3 (with the boba fett stuff cut out of them of course) and then just cut Din out BOBF entirely. there's also just the problem that i have that we had this emotional goodbye between Din and Grogu at the end of Season 2, where it really seemed that showing them apart from each other and how that effects them, would be the story of season 3, only for us to see them separated for 2 episodes and then they are back together again. i expected that they would be back together its just that it was too fast IMO, and i wish we would have spent the entirety of season 3 on that storyline with them first coming back together as the semi finale or finale of season 3
Love your content! I think you may have it wrong. BoBF is the interlude of the Mandolorian, not the other way around of episodes 5 and 6. If you look at it that way, the story actually is a smooth transition from Mando S2 and S3. Basically another side quest but with a major fleshing out of the character that Mando helps.
Imagine if ep. 6 would have started with Boba and the Rancor training with the Keeper, leading into a montage, and ending with Fennec calling Boba to a meeting. And *then* we flashed to the Din, Ahsoka, Grogu, and Luke stuff, thus driving home the parallels *and* giving us more Boba. The rest of the episode could have then played out as it did and would’ve felt more cohesive.
My approach would have been to keep Episode 5 as is, then remove the Jedi stuff from Episode 6 while keeping the Tatooine stuff and adding more Boba scenes. This would mean no Grogu in Episode 7, but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make. Also, I'm currently undecided on if I'd have snuck in flashes of Cad Bane in the flashbacks. I get wanting to use him as a surprise cliffhanger, but I also really feel that recreating the lost story in a flashback would have made him feel extra impactful to the plot of this show.
It was a good show overall I would give it an 8 out of 10 there are somethings I wished to see more of. I kept wishing the focus would have been on Boba and his growth. I did enjoy Luke, Grogu and Din, they were good and it reminded me of my favorite books where I am getting into a story arc only to have the author present a part 2 in the middle and switch focus to other characters in the book that we know about but don't see much of and then a part 3 and return back to their main focus and their adventures. Wish there were more episodes of this show maybe two or three would have been lovely. I am hoping that a season 2 is in the works or maybe a focus on Fenac would be great, we can she her and Boba building their relationship and their travels.
Think your review is pretty spot on. If it was titled The Mandalorian’s nobody would have an issue with the 2 other eps. I do agree and wish would have seen the 2 main Mando eps in S3 rather then here. Looking forward to the easter eggs video!
Yeah, I agree with your take. As good as the episodes focused on Mando/Din, Grogu, and Luke were, they did feel kinda intrusive to the main narrative. If they were meant to play a more integral part in the story, part of me wonders if including their scenes as sort of a recurring subplot to Boba’s narrative (similar to Luke’s training in TESB or Obi-Wan’s investigation in AotC) would’ve helped it feel more organic.
Agree with all of this. I think after Mando season 3 I'll go back and rewatch it within the context of the full Mandalorian series. It might flow better in that context.
Speaking of mixed feelings, what do you think about the idea that all of these TV shows are there to flesh out and validate the Sequel Trilogy, much like the Clone Wars cartoons did for the prequels? Rather than helping fans forget the sequels exist, they will show Luke’s descent to bitter old failure in great detail. They’ll also chronicle all of the machinations involved in the creation of Snoke and the return of Palpatine so that everyone will re-watch the final sequel and say, “well of course he’s back, duh!”
🤔.....interesting observation. I admit that after watching the Clone Wars cartoon, I do enjoy Attack of the Clones a lot more. Of course I have to wonder if there's any TV they can show me that will make me fell better about how Luke, Leia, and Han ended up. Can the sequels ever really be validated in our minds?
My take on the series takes something your review(s) say and turns it to a different angle. You call episode 5 'an interlude' in the Book of Boba Fett. I feel The Book of Boba Fett is an interlude in the story of The Mandalorian. 4 episodes of Boba, and his story, then a couple of episodes to remind us that Din and Grogu are also still doing things, and then a finale that brings everyone together, and resolves the main conflict of the interlude. Now that the interlude of Boba is over, and we've seen how Boba has learned to grow in a wider world, and take care of a larger group, we will start to see how that story plays out for Din, learning to become the leader he isn't and building the group that will be needed to eventually retake Mandalore. And we have the new take on the story of Tar Visla being introduced - Grogu as the Jedi who eventually becomes a Mandalorian. Stories repeating and rhyming, and Lucas would say. All that said, yes, I missed Boba in my BoBF episodes 5 and 6. But, I also expect a lot more of Boba and Peli in Mandalorian season 3, now that they've become larger characters in Din's life. After all, if Boba can leave the Bounty Hunter life to serve and protect Tatooine, what can Din achieve if he manages to leave Bounty Hunting behind as well?
I think my biggest head scratch is the fact that Din and Grogu are back together so soon and as a result of a "sideplot" of a wholly different show. I mean, the ending of season 2 of The Mandalorian was super emotional and felt like a definite turning point, a path to somewhere new. I think in our hearts we all knew these two would be reunited at some point, but this just feels weird and not earned
I definitely would have sacrificed Episodes 5 and 6 in order to spend more time building on the themes of Boba's story more directly; things like more time with the Rancor, more time showing the negative impacts of spice on Mos Espa, more time building growth and tension between who Boba was and who he now wants to be. That said, one exchange in the finale convinced me that the Mando episodes were thematically important. B: "Do you really believe in that bantha fodder?" M: "I do." B: "Good." Boba is adamantly NOT Mandalorian, by his own assertion. Yet, his new lease on life and leadership, "You can only get so far without a tribe.", very closely matches how Din views the Mandalorian Creed, "Loyalty, and solidarity." Din and Grogu, wrestling with the difference between the Jedi (through the biased lens of the Armorer, and Grogu's memories) and Mandalorian ways, parallel Boba wrestling between being a bounty hunter or a daimyo who rules with respect. On one side, they live alone, eschew attachments, and ultimately die a lonely, inglorious death. On the other, you find connection, support, and a significance of purpose that will outlast your own death.
I think those two episodes might been easier to give a pass if the season wasn;t only 7 episodes long and we had more time covering Boba and building up what was going on current day, his mindset, the rancors, his interactions with the townfolk etc, and maybe even given Cad Bane some more screen time to before the big finalle. I still loved the episodes. It just took a lot of time out of a very short season that could have been used to cover parts of Boba's current day story better. Although I still have questions both about his backstory and current day. One backstory part I keep wondering is when did he find out Cob had his armour? Because apparently he knew who had it before in Mandalorian season 2. Did he put a tracker on Din's ship? I'm guessing he at least saw mando carrying the armour on his speed bike through the desert. Although there was several moments in the show that I was like ok how did these characters know this? How did the Mayor know Boba had a tuskin Family. How did Cad Bane know Cob had the armour one point. There probably is some explanation that could cover it that I am not thinking of, but it gave me a metagaming feel (as someone who has roleplayed a long time) I still enjoyed the show overall though even if it was a bit weirdly done.
Agree with pretty much all of this. On the hand I do find it difficult to excuse some of the missteps along the way, but ultimately it was an enjoyable ride from start to finish. I assume the need to include Luke, Grogu and so much of Din means there is a set plan for the wider Mando story, which us encouraging, but it feels to me like there was a bit of a clash of creative voices through this series and perhaps there needed to be a firmer hand on the wheel. When all is said and done though I'm absolutely excited for more.
The problem with showing Boba learning to ride the rancor is that Din did that same thing already when he had to learn how to ride the blurrg. Seriously it would have been copy and paste. I agree they should have shown more of Boba interacting with the rancor. The episodes with Din, Grogu, Ashoka, and Like were the best, but they weren’t at all about Boba. I would have preferred they had those two episodes be about Boba instead. It made Boba feel less important in his own show and worse that he didn’t have a good enough story to tell for every episode. I get that to have Grogu save them (Din from the droid and the town folk from the rancor) they needed to show Grogu’s decision to return. But they could have just had Grogu show up and then explained it later in the Mando S3. I expected to see Grogu use his jump flipping to distract the droid because they prominently showed him learning it in the last episode. Overall the show was disjointed, but I still liked it. I will say the name should have been The Loose Leaf Pamphlet of Boba Fett rather than The Book of Boba Fett.
Agree mostly and was also confused. Still, so far Jon and Dave have not let me down in concluding things further down the line and creating great overall stories. So I think this pacing and the "interludes" may make more sense eventually. But yes, one Mando episode would have been plenty and would have loved to see Mando/Grogu reunion in Mando S3.
I think the Mando-centric episodes made a lot more sense once we saw the season finale. Those episodes had to position Din and Grogu so they were where they needed to be to participate in the finale. Could they have not included Grogu and just had Din fight alongside Boba? Sure and it would not have needed two episodes of story time to make it happen. We could have caught up with Grogu and Luke at the beginning of The Mandalorian season 3, giving Grogu a little more training time. Perhaps we could have had some sort of Mando Christmas special prior to The Book of Boba Fett, where that character positioning could have been done without it eating into Boba’s storyline.
Iron man takes up a lot of time in captain America civil war and Spider-Man homecoming but it’s great and fits the overall story they are building to like this is. I view this as the MCU of Star Wars and every property is going to be deeply connected
I wish we could've seen at least one scene of Boba trying to connect with the Rancor before seeing him ride it. I love a good training montage. And really....it should've been Boba Fett who calmed the thing down in the end.
A fan Always has time to dive into the extra lore. Fans do that because they're fans to Begin with. A fan doesn't think that is a chore, they enjoy it. It's fun for them. It adds to their love for what they are a fan of. Someone who has followed a Story from start to finish and went back to read and consume every aspect in between is a Fan. Fans can also tune in when Disney has a new show and then never look back after the show if finished. You shouldn't exclude either for the sake of being "inclusive" To the average person, Black Krrsantan is iust a Wookie. To the fan, that is The Black Krrsantan. They deserve to be rewarded for that by him acting and doing things only they would recognize. Just as Fans that are only there for Mando and Grogu are rewarded by their reunion in the show. That's the problem with a myth, you CAN'T include everybody by making it easily digestible. That's not necessarily why this series was so weird, but it is a factor. The overall story is Good. It's just whelming. I bet if we all come back to this in a year, people will overall appreciate this show more than not. But it's not going down as Amazing, Impactful, or even really Necessary.
I would have liked to have seen Danny Trejo again but it was still awesome when Boba rode in
I loved Boba's journey.
@@parker.e I to would like to see more of his interaction with the Rancor. And of course everyone wants to see the BD unit again.
It's a strange series, but I overall enjoyed it. Nothing great, but not even close to the trainwreck that I've seen others portray it as. Yeah, it's got some flaws, but I overall liked Boba's journey.
i agree, it what a decent series
Same here, I felt like I was out of the loop on this one.
🙋♂️🇨🇦🙏💞🕊🌎 the Word
It was probably too expensive to have more than seven episodes however I think we should have gotten 12 episodes instead. Boba needed a few more episodes of him running the city to flesh out the town more.
@@Zay9xx Reports claims that Andor season 1 would have 12 episodes, but I think we need to wait and see. It feels weird for that series to have more than 10 episodes of all the series. From Marvel Studios side, WandaVision had 9 episodes. And She-Hulk was promised to have 10.
The episodes are all at least 40m long tho, you did get “14-15 episodes”
I’m not sure if it’s a British thing but most of our TV shows are around six to eight episodes long, so I’m used to these shorter series styles. For me ten to fifteen episodes might be too much
It would have been cool to see some flashbacks to Cad training Boba for the audience who didn't watch clone wars
I hope we see that for the book of Boba Fett season 2 maybe
I didn't watch Clone Wars but I was like dang that's a cool character
More like for the audience that didn't watch the clips from the Clone Wars episodes that never actually aired
It does have the WEIRDEST pacing I have ever seen in a work of fiction.
Ooh, I like your approach. I would have just cut out all the Jedi stuff and added in some more Boba scenes, but this has promise too.
The pacing and direction was off, but the detours they did take with Mando and Luke were really good and the Tuskens were amazing.
yeah alot of the writing was really cheesy too
My favorite thing about this video is that I get vibes that you love the star wars universe, but there's no gatekeeping or feeling like only movies over 10 years old can be good. Thanks for the positivity! The world of star wars needs more of that.
I loved The Book of Boba Fett with the development of Boba with the Tusken
🙋♂️🇨🇦🙏💞🕊
What verse is that?? Closest I can find is Hebrews 11:9
@@benjamincutts6949 Exodus 2:22
@@davidozab2753 ah yes, got it now, thank you! My translation says foreigner in a foreign land, but its the same difference
They should not have forced grogu into the series.
Yes! My thoughts exactly
Very happy to read this comment. Thank you!
Yeah I agree, while I had a few issues with it I love Boba Fetts character a lot now.
Yes. Especially the dialogue. Why was Fennec relegated to just spouting off exposition? Show the story, don’t just explain it!
I agree with pretty much all you said.
Also, I think Favreau just is not a very good storyteller to be honest. He's an enthusiastic guy who the powers that be trust, but to me it seems he has very little to say other than "I'm doing the same thing I did when playing with my action figures as a kid"
I have to respectfully disagree. Have you seen Chef? Or Iron Man or Elf?
A character can still be badass & have human emotions
i feel like everyone keeps forgetting that this season WAS called Mandalorian 2.5, i had such a great time watching each episode
(Jennifer Beal better have gotten some bacta tank time)
Yeah the storytelling was jumpy between the flashbacks and redirects, but I enjoyed the results.
I wish we could have seen Boba vs Cad as a flashback, It would have made the final duel more epic and symbolic
This series was messy, but honestly looking at the whole thing as part of one big story with the other shows helps to no end.
I love this channel because I can listen to honest critique without all the bigotry and gatekeeping hate that you can find in the Star Wars fandom
Good to hear someone shares my opinion of this series bc these thoughts in this video were very similar to my own :)
What a great encapsulation of the show. Great review!!
There was a lot to like in the series. I thought Cad Bane was a super compelling villain.
I think they're setting up Boba Fett to be a new Mandalorian. Hence the tie-in.
just wanna say. din has the darksaber.
Your review took the words out of my mouth. It was confusing but I think with time we’ll come to appreciate it
I like your synopsis on the series.
Eh okay?
You see, we have this box, and what's in the box is a mystery...😆
But seriously, the final scene of the sequel trilogy takes place on a VERY desert-y Tatooine, so just call that stuff a JJ Abrams style dead-end.
I look forward for Season 2 in the future
The Mandalorian: Spends an entire montage showing Din learning to ride a Blurgh, an animal nobody cares about
Book of Boba Fett: Spends an entire NOTHING showing Boba learning to ride a Rancor, an animal most fans love to see
This is a really solid review (not just because I agree).
Am so happy season 1 is out and some day we are getting a season 2 but who knows when we are
🔥💯 love watching the show and then watching your videos as they came out.
Thank you and may the force be with you.
I'm curious about how the people who don't like that we cut away from Boba for two episodes feel about the episodes of "The Clone Wars" that have nothing to do with the war or the Clones. The Mortis episodes are barely connected to the rest of the series, but I don't see people rioting against them.
Clone wars has 133 episodes, this one has 7. So if the Mortis storyline was 30-40 episodes long, how would you feel?
Pretty much summed up my thoughts. I'd be interested to hear from the makers of the show on why they diverted to Mando in episodes 5 & 6.
Loved the show
I liked the series overall, but the two key issues I had were indeed, a) The Mandalorian stuff, especially the major reset to his status quo - not everyone is going to be following everything, although I've been watching The Mandalorian, and ultimately did end up watching Book of Boba Fett, I originally wasn't planning on watching BoBF, and I'm sure there must be others who _haven't_ who will wonder why the season 2 ending seems to have been abandoned at the start of the season 3.
b) the other thing that I think is more of a missed opportunity than an issue, is since the theme is Boba finding his own identity after Jango pushing Bounty Hunting onto him, show some of that in the flashbacks - every time the Kamino flashback showed up, I thought we were going to see more, with Temura in the Jango armour, indoctrinating young Boba, even if they had to keep Jango's helmet on to save budget on de aging Morrison, or avoided showing Boba's face so they didn't have to do anything too dynamic with the render of young Daniel Logan's face, it'd be something. For that matter, use the flashbacks to help establish Bane working as Boba's second mentor after the death of Jango. It could just be a very quick scene, something new that wasn't in Clone Wars to help establish, bounty hunting wasn't something Boba exactly "chose" to do with his life per se.
Yes! Wanted more Jango and young Cad Bane
I liked the documentary on Tusken culture, and the Mandalorian season 2.5. I feel they could have put more substance into Boba's past after the Clone Wars and up to Return of the Jedi, especially for people who have only seen the films and the TV shows.
I feel boba and Luke's stories are intertwined in a way. I loved the series too.
My favorite character was the bacta tank
Besides Fennec Shand and the mods, other Star Wars characters that were cybernetically enhanced are:
Anikin Skywalker/Darth Vader Darth Maul in the Clone Wars
Echo from Clone Wars/Bad Batch General Grievous
Lobot-Lando's aid from Cloud City
Luke Skywalker
Savage Opress- Darth Maul's brother in the Clone wars
Saw Gerrera in Rogue One

Wow awesome review! Lots of things I didn’t notice while watching but excellent observations
No, the series was definitely more about a war between crime syndicates than a war between mere bounty hunters.
Totally agree. With only seven episodes they took too much space with Mando and Grogu. Loved it all but it was odd and a bit disconcerting. The Boba Fet story needed to be more developed, but there was no time. Look forward to more and more!
i basically agree with everything said here !!! i’ve also given a lot of thought to the stuff with grogu and luke and figured maybe it just all would’ve meant a lot more in mando season 3, and you could work with it by having the n-1 star fighter not be ready when din comes to pick it up so he waits in a cantina when fennec shand approaches to tell him about helping boba. that way we could get so much more bonding time between boba and the rancor, maybe even a way to get boba to talk to other tusken tribes across the desert and earn their trust and respect by showing his gaffi stick so they could also help in the battle of mos espa. all just wishful thinking of course but had the season been just a bit more focused on it’s title character and his journey, i reckon i’d have been much more satisfied by the finale
also i miss boba’s parachute pants from mando season 2, his new look is defs an improvement from his old empire look but the pants were so stylish !!
They should've just called this season - "The Mandalorian: Book of Boba Fett"
Imagine if ep. 6 would have started with Boba and the Rancor training with the Keeper, leading into a montage, and ending with Fennec calling Boba to a meeting. And *then* we flashed to the Din, Ahsoka, Grogu, and Luke stuff, thus driving home the parallels *and* giving us more Boba. The rest of the episode could have then played out as it did and would’ve felt more cohesive.
It was all over the place, but Mando has episodes that a little off the main story line as well.
Well said! 100% agree with everything. Let’s hope they announce a second season and it will be more focused on Boba and his story/development more.
Boba Fett would hit the screens at 6pm on a Wednesday here in Australia… it was the best day of the week
There probably is some explanation that could cover it that I am not thinking of, but it gave me a metagaming feel (as someone who has roleplayed a long time)
I still enjoyed the show overall though even if it was a bit weirdly done.
You pretty much summed up how I feel as well.
Well, onto Kenobi.
You shouldn't exclude either for the sake of being "inclusive"
To the average person, Black Krrsantan is iust a Wookie.
I'm already so sad that it's over. SO stoked for Kenobi and whatever else is in the works!
STAR WARS!!!
I think the grogu thing should have happened in season 3, it feels like an important pivotal plot point for the mandolorian, but not for boba fett
