Does Lilith even count as sinner. She was newer killed, she was banished to hell with Lucifer( both sinners and winners are people who died on Earth.), she is capable of having kids ( while sinners are infertile)

She is a sinner, either the first or second sinner after eve. She may have not 'died' but that doesn't mean she isn't a sinner.
also his take on lilith is just wrong. All souls in hell or heaven have an inherent power when they manifest there and lilith being the og women would jut be reallly powerful by default. It is even possible she had magical powers while 'mortal', considering her status.

I have two theories on those.
      1. If a mortal stay in Hell for too long, they become Sinners by force.
      2. I believe Sinners can’t reproduce with each other, otherwise the Pride Ring would be more populated than it already is. So crossbreeding with Hellborns, or in this case Lucifer, would have to be the next best thing.

      Depends I guess…?
Lilith is regarded as a demon instantly upon her refusal to submit to Adam, in most text she left Eden willingly. She literally grows wings, horns, and flies away.
(But she also eats the lifeforce of unborn/newborn children, Soo….)
I think it ties into everyone having a hellish and heavenly form by nature, I think it’s just one of those things that naturally happen when your soul changes.
She likely can have kids due to Lucifer being such a powerful Angel, who have previously been mentioned to be able to create life. Razzle and Dazzle were both plushies, so who knows what he could’ve used to make Charlie, maybe a doll or something…?

I agree. If Vox actually defeated Alastor, even if he was nervous about being able to do it again, he’d still hold the win over Alastor’s head. My personal theory is that Alastor nearly “beating” Vox was him dismantling the influence Vox was trying to build with his media empire, getting in the way of his control over the minds of the population by “stealing” his audience (a reference made in their song) and offering an alternative media source not following Vox’s narrative. Then Alastor just up and disappeared for 7 years. This would explain why Vox feels so threatened by him that he immediately tries to discredit Alastor to his audience before Alastor even broadcasts anything. It also explains why exactly the V’s are so excited that Alastor disappears again after three battle with Adam, viewing it as an opportunity to expand their influence without a major obstacle, even though Alastor hasn’t attacked them physically or anything.

Roo is Pride personified, the very reason everyone in hell, is in hell.
      Llilth & Lucifer included.
Pride being the original sin, the root of all evil & the deadliest of the 7 sins
In the bible it talks of the spirit of pride entering peoples hearts, leading them down a path of sin.
So lets take a look at allastair & the Loa, by first answering what A Loa is, which is a spirit, in this case being roo aka Pride, who took spirit form on 🌍 to corrupt more souls.
This would fully account for why Roo is the most powerful being in hell, even holding power over Llilth, the queen of hell.
Also worth noting, that the pact with pride can be undone, which keeps those souls in hell, as we saw with Sir pentious, when he abandoned his pride & ego out of selflessness to save his friends, finally undoing the bond that tied him to hell, ergo the entire redemption plot arc of the series.
It accounts for why Roo will be the big baddie of the series in the future, the denizens of hell must defeat pride within themselves, to be freed from the prison of hell

There are three separate cannibal breadcrumbs around Alastor that stood out to me. Vox cooking the deer head in the should've stayed gone song, Alastor himself eating a rotten deer in his room when Vaggie dumps the eggboys on him, and then short king Lucifer with Alastor's head on a platter during the hell's greatest dad song.
I'm thinking his deal and powers are WAY more connected to the cannibals in some way.

I wanna add onto the Alastor and Roo thing:
    The Adam VS Alastor fight.
I've seen a few people also notice this, WHY didn't Alastor use an Angelic weapon, OR his ACTUAL FULL POWERS when fighting Adam. We SAW what he can do! In the pilot and Ep. 2 when he OBLITERATES Pentious, in 'Stayed Gone' when he's threatening Vox at the end, in Ep. 6 when the loan sharks arrive, and in a bunch of other instances.
We ALSO saw him killing the other Exorcists with Angelic Steel axes, AND they weren't able to pass through his magic shield, only Adam was able to destroy it (wich i think its wierd he did it so easily, AND Alastor STILL wasn't serious, so he either LET him destroy it, or he wasn't planning on fighting him seriously in the first place.)
While he seems to be mainly a spell caster, he WAS a serial killer in life, and probably has at least SOME knife skills, heck maybe even gun skills.
Some suggested that he never fought an angel and was being cocky, thinking he can deal with Adam on his own. I don't think that's the case.
I think he wasn't ALLOWED to kill him.
Adam being alive means Lilith is not in Hell, and cannot help her people fight back against the Angels -> this causes "overpopulation" and the Exorcists to be sent from Heaven -> Sinners fully die and Roo feeds on their energy
Of course, if Alastor can't kill Adam, this means he almost dies, and he finally realizes just how EXPENDABLE he is. Both from Roo's AND Lilith's side.
But I do believe that Lilith has made a deal with Alastor, maybe not a SOUL deal, but a deal nonetheless.
Roo and Lilith are indirectly fighting against each other, THROUGH Alastor.
And he KNOWS this. In 'Finale', in his part Alastor sings about how he almost died for Charlie and the gang- " "Alastor, altruist, died for his friends" " -but as he said, he's now hungry for freedom like never before and REFUSES to be a pawn in someone elses chess game "I'm sorry to disappoint, that is NOT where this ends". While this is him refusing to acknowledge he got attached and hating the idea that if he died he would be considered a martyr ('Ew, feelings. I hate weakness.') it is ALSO him recognizing that if it came down to it, he *will die for the Hotel.* ***Whether he wants to, or not.***
(Btw, I LOVE and ADORE Alastors Mental Breakdown sequence SO MUCH.)
If Roo tells him to die at the hands of angel to keep the Exterminations going? He'll die.
If Lilith tells him to die to protect Charlie and her dream? He'll die.
If he gets attached to the people he's forced to be around and has to protect them of his own volition? He'll die.
This deal and promise that he has WILL KILL him, and he wants OUT.
Also, I want to point out, that while I do think Alastor is brewing up to be a third-act evil villain, I ALSO think, that he will end up being good as well. (Maybe not redeemed, but at least better then he is right now.)
Now, this is going to start sounding kinda conspirational, but hear me out!
The name 'Alastor' while meaning 'Tormentor' and 'Spirit of Revenge' it ALSO is an epithet given to Zeus, meaning 'Protector of Man' or 'Avenger of Evil Deeds'. This name/title was given to many beings and heros but eventually it turned into a sort of insult and was associated with evil spirits.
AND Vivzie herself has highlighted that a big element of Alastors characterization, is his duality. He is unpredictable, his actions often go against his character (like how he's supposedly a known deal maker but refuses to make deals in the show: when he offers Vaggie help with the ad, when he asks a favor from Charlie and when he declines/ignored Rosie telling him there's an easy target for a deal), how in his singing numbers he often LITERALLY inverts/changes his colors, and how his room is half a nice cozy study and half GIANT BAYOU DIMENSION.
His conflicting personality/actions, reflect the conflicting forces that hold power over him.
IN FACT, this ENTIRE SHOW is about conflicting forces!
Heaven - Hell, Good - Evil, Damnation - Paradise. And THE ENTIRE PLOT is centered on finding that gray area, "If Hell is forever then Heaven must be a lie, if Angels can do whatever and remain in the sky! *The rules are shades of gray if you don't do as you say,* "
The rules of Heaven and Hell are literally black and white, and it's Charlies goal to find that gray area. But in doing so, she will have to acknowledge the darker shades of gray as well.
Maybe a certain morally gray character who is literally tearing at the seems, and is desperate enough to do absolutely anything, even betray those he loves to escape his binds? 👀
Idk, just a few thoughts, lol. (If you can't tell, this show has me in a choke hold and will NOT let go.)
Anyway, if you read through this absolute theory word vomit, thanks! Hope you have a nice day :3
(I wrote a comment that almost was twice as long as this one before deleting it after realizing i did not explain ANYTHING i was talking about, so you were spared.)
Edit: Also i think that Roo is Eve, in a sense that they're NOT the same person, but Eve, by eating the Fruit of Knowledge got infected and SHE was the one to make humanity evil, seeing as she's the wife of Adam, the first Man, she was able to influence humanity.
Lucifer and Lilith gave Eve the Fruit of Knowledge, the (maybe metaphorical maybe literal) seeds from it turned into a sapling/roots, infecting Eve and turning her into Roo, and Roo influencing her and Adam's offspring (again, maybe metaphorical maybe literal) into doing evil deeds, wich got Lucifer and Lilith banished from Heaven into Hell. Since Eve and Roo aren't the same person, Roo could have went down to Hell and Eve could have stayed in Heaven, giving Roo a view on both fronts. This intel could REALLY make her a TERRYFING villain. She has influence over Earth, Hell AND Heaven. Less like a Tree and more like a system of Fungi. You can NEVER truly get rid of the whole thing. It's hidden deep in the soil, and getting complete rid of it will take a LOT of work.

I love these theories about Alastor, but I do have one problem with all of them. At the end of the 8th episode Alastor rants about wanting to find a loophole to break his contract, and knowing his character he wouldn’t do that if it meant he lost all or most of his power. He would most definitely think about finding a way to break his contract but he would decide not to because he knows the value of power. Considering all of this, please reply to this comment with your theories.

This video was a blast to watch! Any theory involving Roo as Alastor’s master immediately piques my interest. I’ve got a theory that I’ve been cooking up for the past week now that, if true, would turn everything we know about the show on its head forever. Fair warning, most of this theory is pure speculation/head canon and parts of it are in direct contradiction of statements that Vivziepop has made in the past. But just because Viv stated something as canon years ago doesn’t mean that things can’t change in the actual show.
So, here’s my theory (this is going to sound absurd but just bear with me):
What if Roo/Eve is Charlie’s actual biological mom?
Before I go any further, we need to establish the difference between Sinners and Hellborn. I’m sure all of you are well aware, but for those who aren’t, Sinners are human souls that lived a life on Earth and were cast down to Hell after they died for living wicked lives (Angel Dust, Husk, Niffty, Alastor, the Overlords). The Hellborn are creatures that were born and raised in Hell itself and never had previous lives on Earth (Asmodeus, Stolas, Octavia, Blitz, Loona, Verosika). Vivziepop has stated that Sinners are infertile, meaning they cannot have biological children while in Hell. Hellborn on the other hand are perfectly capable of reproducing naturally. (As a sidenote, I’m not sure if this infertility applies only to Sinners or if it also applies to Winners, human souls who go to Heaven, as well. Maybe Viv has stated it before, I don’t know.)
With this knowledge about Sinners and their infertility in mind, Lilith being Charlie’s biological mother doesn’t really make sense. She was a HUMAN soul who was cast down to Hell for helping Lucifer trick Eve into taking a bite of the forbidden fruit. Even if Lilith didn’t die before being banished to Hell, the same Sinner infertility rule should still apply because she is, at her very core, just another human Sinner. During the storybook opening of Episode 1, it is heavily implied that Hell came into existence only because of Eve taking a bite of that apple.
What if when Eve took the bite, she quite literally transformed into Hell itself? Eve was twisted by the knowledge of good and evil and was reborn as Roo, the Root of All Evil, the first Hellborn. Roo/Eve is sin itself squeezed into the body of a woman, but that all that darkness eventually twisted her into a grotesque monster hiding underneath that puny human skin. Furthermore, during the same storybook opening, Charlie states that Lucifer and Lilith were “cast down into the dark pit they had created.” They only arrived in Hell AFTER it had been created, not before, thereby allowing Lilith to be the first Sinner and, as Lucifer’s wife, the first Queen of Hell.
We know that Lucifer’s confidence and self-esteem was all but destroyed after being cast out of Heaven, seemingly leaving Lilith to run Hell as more Sinners began to arrive. But as the eons went on and Hell developed into what it is in the show, both of them yearned for something more than a kingdom-a family. But there was just one problem. While archangels like Lucifer and Sera can have children, Lilith is technically a human Sinner, and therefore incapable of producing offspring in Hell. They tried many times, potentially even resorting to magic to make it work, but to no avail. Finally, in a last ditch desperate attempt, they turned to the one woman who had been there since Day 0-Roo/Eve. Maybe they still knew her as Eve, though she was most likely unrecognizable, and definitely one of, if not, the strongest being in all of Hell by this point.
Lucifer and Lilith bring Roo a proposition: bring them a child with Lucifer’s help, and they’ll raise it as their own and give it a loving home, under the condition that Roo have absolutely ZERO contact whatsoever with the child. Roo, being the cunning and malevolent psychopath that she is and filled with silent hatred for what they did to her in the Garden of Eden, heartily agrees, but only on two conditions: 1) she gets to name her child, and 2) she gets to keep ownership of her child’s soul. This last condition worries Lucifer and Lilith, but they rationalize that there is nothing Roo can do to manipulate their child if she has no contact with it. The two of them agree, Lucifer and Roo do the nasty, and nine months later, out pops a healthy baby girl. Roo names her daughter Charlotte and has Lucifer sign a contract that gives Roo ownership of her daughter’s soul. Lucifer and Lilith quickly depart from Roo’s presence, and this is the last time Roo has any direct contact with her daughter for the next 200 years. (Charlie’s canon age is 200 years old.)
Lucifer and Lilith are thrilled to finally have a daughter of their own, and they resolve to distance themselves and Charlotte from Roo as much as possible. They give her the nickname Charlie instead of calling her Charlotte, though they keep Charlotte as her full official name. They raise Charlie to be a kind and compassionate soul, not only because that’s what they want their daughter to be, but because they hope that by instilling goodness within her from a young age, they can keep whatever darkness she inherited from her biological mother at bay for as long as possible.
Roo watches her daughter grow up from the shadows, from the many eyes that dot the buildings and furniture of Hell, smiling with malevolent glee the whole time, for she knows something that Lucifer and Lilith are only now starting to realize. Roo knows that as her and Lucifer’s daughter, Charlotte wields an unimaginable amount of power compared to her father and adopted mother. All Roo is waiting for is the day when the darkness within her daughter finally takes over and unlocks her full power, and Roo can use her ownership of daughter’s soul to transform her into the ultimate superweapon. A superweapon capable of razing all of Heaven and Hell, allowing Roo to rule all of Creation for herself.
But what Roo didn’t anticipate was how loving and compassionate Charlie would turn out to be. Roo becomes increasingly frustrated with her daughter’s lack of evil tendencies and worries that she may never unlock her true strength by herself. Roo knows that she can’t just show up and force Charlie to be evil. Not only is it impossible because of her and Lucifer’s agreement, trying to force Charlie would only make her into a permanent enemy. Roo knows that Charlie has to darken her heart on her own, or at least, Roo can’t directly influence Charlie on her own.
    Enter Alastor.
Let’s assume that everything that happened between Roo and Alastor in this video applies to this theory as well. Their relationship started off as symbiotic, then eventually devolved into a master/slave situation. Alastor most likely learned about Charlotte Morningstar’s true parentage and ultimate purpose from Roo herself (before their relationship soured), and a plan starts to form in his head. We know from Episode 8 that Alastor wants out of whatever deal he’s in VERY VERY BADLY, and that he’s willing to trick or kill anyone to free himself. So why not use his master’s ultimate plan against her?
This next part is a bit shaky, but it’s the best explanation I have. After he and Roo have their falling out, Alastor goes to Lilith and reveals Roo’s ultimate plan for Charlie, and Lilith is overcome by fear and guilt. How could she have not seen that this is what Roo intended from the beginning? Unable to take the shame, she runs away to Heaven to avoid the pain of telling her daughter that she’s been lied to her whole life.
But Lilith running away is exactly what Alastor wanted. With her gone, and Roo unable to reveal herself to Charlie, Alastor starts cozying up to Charlie in an effort to get her into a position where they would make a deal. He knows that he can’t just take her soul, both he and Lucifer know that Roo owns it. Instead, he just needs Charlie to owe him a favor, and he figures that that can give him enough leverage or create some loophole/backdoor that would get Roo to release him from her control.
But now that Adam is dead, Lilith has no choice but to return to Hell, which throws a wrench in Alastor’s plans. Where we go from here, I have no idea. Both Roo and Alastor want Charlie on their side to use as leverage or as a weapon against the other. Alastor’s advantages are that Charlie now owes him a favor and Roo can’t reveal herself in front of Charlie. Roo’s advantage is that she owns Charlie and Alastor’s souls, and she figures that’s all the advantage she’ll need against her insolent servant.
If anyone actually read to the end of this fucking essay, I salute you! I’m sure none of this is even remotely true, but if even a fraction of it turns out to be correct, I’ll be beyond thrilled!

I have a new Alastor theory
In the episode where Alastor goes to a meeting, the song “respectless” takes up the meeting. At the end of the song, Carmilla Carmine says the meeting is over. Alastor says “that was a productive meeting.” Some people would just say it’s a funny line, but if you think about it, it could have a deeper meaning. Alastor, the radio demon, obviously likes the radio. But what plays on the radio? Songs. Alastor said “That was a productive meeting” because to him, songs are productive, because that’s the thing he plays on the radio. He also sings with his enemies, like “Stayed Gone” with Vox, and “Hells greatest Dad” with Lucifer.
This is just a theory I thought of, not a legitimate thing. I would like it if this theory could be in a video, and give me credit.

  • @inkblooded1058
    @inkblooded1058 7 місяців тому +49

There is also a small issue with your theory, if you want to take a stab at a correction. Husker and Nifty, in particular. We know that Alastor at least owns Husker's soul, as we see him conjure the chains that hold him. We can presume then, that he likely also holds Nifty's soul - though this is less certain - as he literally summoned her into the Hotel like he did Husker. These are two souls connected clearly to Alastor and not Roo, meaning not all of the souls Alastor collects go to Roo. The same goes for Charlie; if collecting souls can't bolster his power and instead strengthens Roo, then all Alastor would be doing is handing Charlie's soul to Roo on a platter.
I do love this theory and hope there's some truth to it. I stand by Roo being the one who has Alastor's soul in chains; his powers manifesting as tentacles never made much sense to me, unless you consider the possibility that he gains them through an eldritch, almost Lovecraftian beast. And Roo certainly checks all the boxes there.

    • @thetruebandicoot2036
      @thetruebandicoot2036 6 місяців тому +7

Husker wasn't killed like the other overlords. Rather than challenging the radio demon in combat, he either gambled his soul and lost or struck a deal willingly in exchange for power, so in this particular instance, Husker's soul belongs to only Alastor and not Roo (I think)
Charlie's first offer for a deal likely would have followed like Husker's. Since he's the one making the deal, he's the one that gets the soul. As for for her second offer where she accepted, wasn't for her soul, it was for a favor. Alastor knew who had experience in killing angels, and in exchange he would need a favor at a later time and date. What that favor is we don't yet know.
As for Niffty...I get the feeling there's more to her than meets the eye. A quick trip to the wiki reveals no origin like the other characters which leads me to believe that she may not have one. I get the feeling that if this theory holds true, she and Roo might be connected somehow and that she is supposed to keep watch over Alastor

@thetruebandicoot2036 Honestly, nothing in the Wiki holds water. Up until Episode 5, Vaggie had an entirely different backstory. None of that is canon; if it wasn't in the pilot and maybe the comics, it holds zero water now.
As for Husker, I don't know that disproves my point. The question was more so, why would Roo let Alastor have _any_ souls of his own? Why would she not claim them all to gain even more power over him? She could still *send* him souls to use, but Husker is very clearly Alastors, not Roos. It doesn't make much sense.
On the topic of Charlie, I was more going for the idea that him refusing to take Charlie's sould could arguably strengthen the theory, as he's probably seeking a loophole. Rather than a soul, which would go straight to Roo, he is going for a favor. Ultimately, I just think there's weaknesses here in both theories. I don't think they're wrong, just in need of a trim and polish.

She was just banished to hell alongside Lucifer after they gave Eve the fruit of forbidden knowledge, and transformed into a demon when she was, just like Lucifer himself(we see his true form in the final episode of season 1, and he is very much a demon).

A few of these theories I'm not sure are realistic, but my favorite is the one about Roo feeding on the souls of the executed. Probably the best theory I've heard about the show! All this time, the angels have been executing sinners to prevent evil from rising up, but have unwittingly been feeding the greatest threat of all. I could see this culminating with a drastic battle where heaven and hell team up to defeat the greatest evil.

    So, here’s my thoughts.
First, Alistor says in his fight with Adam something about the power of a soul that has taken charge of its own destiny. I think this means that there are other paths to power besides accumulating souls. I think his power comes from sheer force of will, his power is self actualized. This gave him an advantage over the other overlords and allowed him to essentially eat them, because they had never encountered something like that before.
This could also explain why he lost to Adam, because Adam also doesn’t own souls, but has self actualized or heaven born powers that Alistor wasn’t prepared for.
Also, if Alistor really is drawing his power from another source, the vivi pretty much give it away. He likely had his soul tied to one of the Loa before he even died, which would explain why he was so strong right out the gate.
    Anyway, just a thought.

In the Pilot he mentions he wanted to help Charlie as an “investment in on-going entertainment for myself”, in this respect what could be more entertaining than building Charlie up to her peak then tearing it all down? its very possible that Alastor just went "Nah, I'd win" and lost a 1v3. not a 1v1 against Vox like most speculate. But hey I could always be wrong I guess, Valentino did say to Vox "you still pissed he almost beat you that time?" implying that it might have truly been a 1v1.
    edit: spelling

    2. He dislikes lucifer for some reason.
    3. No one knows hes on a leash but husk
    4. Lucifer seems to know who alastor is, and isnt shocked to see him, and dislikes him aswell
    5. He dislikes vox but doesnt treat him like he does lucifer
    6. Alastor hints that charlie can get him out of his deal. But how??????

As a creative mind (musician, graphic designer, author) I can 100% confirm this kind of fan theorizing is deeply loved by creators, but also is unnerving as we are certainly never this far ahead in our writing for our surprise successes. Hazbin Hotel was far more popular than Viz ever could have imagined, trust me when I say.. we piece this shit together as we go. I say this not to downplay the theory or to deny the merit behind this idea, but more to provide an insight to the creative minds behind popular media. I spent months trying to take a 30 second snippet of music and turning it into a full length song - all because the snippet became so popular in UA-cam background videos that it was heard in the tens of millions. I had this happen maybe like 4 or 5 times with different songs or projects, trust me - trying to satisfy a mountain of expectations that you never expected is the hardest challenge for a creative mind. We often self destruction than overcome, so if there's a season 2 that exceeds season 1... give Viz the props she deserves.

Theory? Bruh this is a whole entire story and I love it! Idk how true it will actually be in the end, but still, this was amazing. I can’t belive I’ve never heard of Roo before. As a horror fan, (and a lesbian) she seems right up my alley. Ya’ll fans need to talk about this terrifying queen more! I also had the idea that Alastor made a deal with someone while he was alive, cause like you said, it would explain why he got his powers so fast. Also 16:23 deer onesie lmao.

I like to think Roo is type of living infection that once was sealed inside the tree of wisdom by either God/powerful angels, giving reason for her name as well as her root aesthetic. Heck, even in the storybooks, the roots of the tree stood out dramatically compared to the other trees shown around it.
Maybe Roo is sort of just possessing Lilith?

IDK I think Vox wouldn't have been so mad at Alastor's return if he beat him so easily and Vox doesn't seem like the type of guy to not boast about it so there would be no mystery were Alastor was.

The theory relies on false information. Sinners have innate powers when they enter hell and the theory relies on it.

@@evilness3404 I’m pretty sure Viv talked about the sins you committed on Earth amounting to power on the other side.
Al’s strong due to his history as a serial killer, though he could’ve been saved or boosted in exchange for his soul or obedience. I namely look at his fight with Vox being his lowest point, where he’d likely refuse to die and sell his soul just to show Vox he’s above losing to him.

A note about Lilith's power, sinners start in hell with their unique powersets. Additionally, Adam is also clearly super powerful, it may be that since she was the first sinner, she may be the most powerful due to that, other explanations include that she may have grown more powerful due to her age or her relations to Lucifer. Charlie also seems to have inherited it, just like she inherited some angel powers, and I don't think that would work if it wasn't Lilith's own power.
Roo is not confirmed to be short for "root of all evil" although its rather likely. Considering psuedonyms are extremely common in Hell, I think its far more likely that Roo is Eve.
