My theory is that Nifty was a victim of a lobotomy. Lobotomies were most common in 1949-1952, the time Nifty is assumed to have died. She most likely died from a complication with the procedure or simply died another way a few years after. Perhaps she was married at a young age and her husband was unsatisfied with her strange behavior and morbid fascinations so he got her lobotomized. It is said that people who went through lobotomies were known to behave more childishly after the procedure, which would explain a lot.
I JUST WROTE A COMMENT ABOUT THIS EXACT THING I SWEAR I DIDNT SEE THIS BEFORE LOLL. that would b so interesting though if we're right bc i feel like this kind of stuff isn't talked about enough in history classes or fiction.
Okay but like, wild thought, maybe that's why she shown as having one eye?? We know the design of Sinners usually show a hint of how they died. Lobotomies are performed by puncturing through the eye socket with a needle (ouch), which also happens to be Nifty's choice of weapon against bugs!?? We need Husk to start spilling the beans!
One of my theories is that she is so small because in her real life she was made to feel worthless, unimportant, unlovable and easily overlooked thus when she died she became tiny. And her obsession with cleaning was more because she felt that was the only way she could be unloved
Other sinners have parts of them that they hate but can't change, like Angel dust with his feet. Maybe Nifty hated feeling small, so when she came down, she became small.
@@shanellewaite7459 Also her small stature combined with her thin, almost bug-like limbs may be cause she hates insects so she has to share some attributes. I mean her legs literally end in one sharp point...
I imagine that when Niffty first manifested in Hell, she immediately thought “This place is… filthy!” And immediately started moping someone’s blood off the sidewalk.
Actually the whole “the dots on her blouse represent bullet shots that she died from” is an old theory since before even the show was picked up for a first season, but usually her death was described as being shot by a guy she stalked so yeah. I think that your theory makes more sense, but maybe the guy shooting her is more logical than the government
A number of characters, including Alastor (he has an X on his forehead due to being shot there), have marks representing how they died, so it checks out.
Quick side note: I don't know if it was intentional or not, but Niffty's design is reminiscent of the hitotsume kozō, a Yokai that takes the form of a mischievous, child-like, one-eyed goblin. Not only does this fit in with her Japanese origins, but hitotsume kozō were also obsessed with "bad boys," keeping ledgers of wicked people to be punished by the god of pestilence and bad luck.
I saw a theory that said that Nifty actually did find a husband in her human life but started behaving in a way he didn't like, which eventually resulted in her getting a lobotomy (something that happened a lot back then I think). This would explain her dedication to be the perfect 50s wife and why she's not all there in terms of both intelligence and sanity.
Most mental illnesses could be cured in the afterlive because of the complete change of physiology. You could get an entire new brain with functional parts where you previously only had defect brain-parts. But what stays is how you learned to use your previous brain. Quite an interesting concept to keep in mind for character-growth after death.
I theorize she was married to an abusive man who constantly scolded and abused her for not being “a perfect housewife” and not keeping his house clean enough. But she was so devoted to him she took it all with a smile and became more crazy obsessed with cleaning and perfection just for her beloved (the bad boy obsession) Only for him to probably cheat on her which caused her to snap and try to kill him and the mistress, which resulted in either an accidental fire or her being shot by police after the crime was committed
One detail I find interesting about Nifty, is that her obsession with killing bugs and how she mentions killing the mothers as a warning to the children, is something that parallels her role in the war with Heaven, to the point that she ended up killing the "mother bug", Adam, and that was a very real warning to the angels that the hotel can put up a fight.
Niffty was definetly an overlord before Alastor decided to contain her. I bet she didn't even know that she was an overlord though, she just went around Hell being the psycho she is, gaining control over any badboy she wished to. Since her main trait on earth was being obsessive over men, it's not impossible that she was given pretty strong powers over men once she manifested in Hell. When she finds Alastor though, her normal strategies don't work on him at all since he's basically asexual. This is when Alastor pitties her and gets her to sell her soul to him. Alastor's whole thing is destroying overlords he despises and making the ones that he's fond of his pets, so this backstory isn't too far fetched
It's true because in the pilot where they said "all overlords" husk and nifty were there but also, nifty has made a deal with Alastor that's why she lost her power @@moremore_fight
I think it's also likely Alastor didn't try that hard to convince her. I think Alastor probably gave her something she auctully wanted. I think he offered her genuine companionship. You see he doesn't give her orders. He just let her do what she will and they both benefit
Nifty is clearly the Overlord of all insect souls... except a few stragglers that defied her, That's why she hunts down and torments insects, to send a message to the other insect souls not owned by her.
LMAO REAL if Nifty really did go running to Alastor calling him a "bad boy" and just other shit she says in attempts to flirt i imagine Alastor probably also kept her around if she promised to NEVER say that to him again. maybe they did make a deal but not for Nifty's soul, Al was just like "literally don't ever utter those words to me and i'll let u follow me around so u can see some carnage and bloodshed" and she was like "YIPPEE"
Me and my friend who watch Hazbin have this little inside joke that “Nifty is actually god.” Which mostly stems from a Hunger Games simulator we did, which left her the victor and the most kills + the whole butchering Adam. Though the Roo theory is a bit startling solid, and now I’m scared. I don’t want the little bug to be the root of all evil!
Theory on Nifty’s death. Breaks into dude’s house, he freaks out, calls the cops, she accidentally lights the house on fire, severely burning herself as she crawls out of the burning house. She gets outside, sees the cops, staggers to her feet, and attempts to close the distance to attack them, she gets shot 3 times, and then, she dies.
It would kinda fuse the theories on her death. Only missing those who think she may have had lobotomy. Which, could be the insiding incident in this case. It made her more unhinged, so she went into action, and then you get the rest.
i like to imagine that when Nifty and Al first met he was so annoyed with her cause she kept following him no matter where he went but then he realised that anytime he did anything evil (so like pretty much everything he does) she'd be so thrilled and be praising him for it and Al being the narcissist that he is decided to keep her around just to feel good abt himself, and maybe that's one of the reasons he gets along so well with her, cause she worships him as much as he worships himself
I can't believe I just now put together that Nifty and Cherri bomb being cyclopes is symbolism for having a one track mind or tunnel vision, Cherri is anarchy and Nifty is cleanliness. 🤦
The spy or avatar story sounds hopelessly cliché and a waste of an interesting character. The housewife horror story is much more interesting because it used to be very real. Real horrors are the most scary horrors of all.
@@ZeroRoyale , according to what FinnthePony and couple other UA-camrs have pointed out, Roo is supposed to be The Root of all Evil in Vivziepop’s Hellaverse.
I think Nifty gave her soul to Alastor voluntarily, and their contract is basically a platonic D/s thing. She gets a surprisingly safe way to satisfy her "get pushed around by a big scary bad man" urges and he gets a loyal and entertaining minion.
My theories on Nifty: 1) She sold her soul to the same person as Alastor and is subject to similar restrictions (always smiling, not being compatible with cameras) 2) She's so small because she was in love with a boy who saw her as a little sister, killing him as a result. 3) We'll see she kept Adam's body & has turned it into a literal puppet in season 2
The thing is that when someone owns your soul your eyes turn black. Kity has two black eyes because Alistor fully owns him. Angel has 1 black and 1 yellow/white because his soul is only owned durring his working hours. Alistor's eyes sometimes turn black when he is distraced or distressed. If you own someone else's soul your eyes turn red, Alsitor, the other big shot demons, ect. When you own your own soul your eyes are yellow/white. Nifty has red and yellow eyes depending on her stress level... well eye.
11:52 I would like to offer another idea. I read in a fanfic that nifty might have been lobotomized, or subject to some crude from of brain surgery where they went in through her eye, which would explain why she only has one in hell.
@voxmygf maybe that is the issue she gets labotomized either before or after doing what ever sent her to hell and upon arrival in hell all those lil impulses came slamming back in so hard she cracked all over again or she might not even be the full girl just the manic impulses that got cut out which would have all kinds of potential wrinkles in the lore to tug on
10:17 In the "Hell's Greatest Dad" song, Alastor sings "I care for you, just like a daughter I spawned..." and Lucifer looks perplexed rather than annoyed. Could it be in reference to Nifty? Given that radio was still more affordable than television in the 40s/50s, and especially if Nifty's parents worked in low paid jobs, she may share the same love for radio as Alastor. That's assuming she isn't Hellborn. The other possibility is Nifty was a survivor of PoW camps, and the evil punishments, and being so young, her mind broke and saw pain as normal "fun". When I first saw Nifty crawling out of the fireplace, when summoned, she looked like a child crawling out of a bombed building. Knowing there's a possible Japanese link, perhaps she's a survivor of the Hiroshima/Nagasaki nuclear bombings, and the "everything must be clean" mindset could be her trying to clean ashes from her home/dead family members.
Niffty's behavior just screams yandere. If she didn't ice her husband after catching him with the maid she was said maid and hubby didn't want to break up with the missus
Maybe she got lobotomized by said guy due to her actions being 'unacceptable', and was seen as more of a maid/little sister hybrid by him which explains her short stature... and somehow ended up amusing Roo which got her a bit of power, while Roo got a way to go around without anyone noticing and due to how psychotic and erratic Nifty is nobody might notice if she switched with Roo (my theory of how she got Adam, ironically) and then took back over being her psycho self... nobody might notice if she was, which is both sad and would ironically fit with what we can assume of Roo...
All of these people theorizing that niffty was abused and lobotomized. You're the first one that's picked up on the elephant in the room, Niffty is in hell. You don't go to hell for being lobotomized. 100% Niffty killed a guy she was obsessed with and then herself. Therefore she's in hell.
The mere idea of Niffty is so hilariously possible that I am genuinely wondering it now Also, the fire or gun shot death for Niffty both make sense, I'd even go so far as to side BOTH, she might've been cooking and set a fire this then leader to her unwilling love interest to shoot her three times until she either died of blood loss or burning to death from the fire
I like to think Nifty, as a potential/possible housewife in the 50s, has a sort of similar relationship with smiling as Alastor's (though to her it would less about not showing weakness and more about being "proper") which may have endeared her somehow to him, at least more so than Husker.
It is believed that she was an overlord until making a deal with Alistair but her past as an human is still unknown except we do know she died as an maid in the 1950s
Honestly if there is a surprise conspiracy-theory-level reveal of Nifty being connected to a mysterious major woman player; I think there's more evidence for that connection being to Eve than to Roo (ignoring for a sec all the theories of them being one in the same). I mean what we know of Eve consists of: 1) she was made to be subservient to Adam to fit him better than Lilith, 2) she ate the apple of knowledge of good & evil, & 3) if Lucifer's 'I banged your wife' joke is to be taken literally, she eventually left and/or cheated on Adam for/with Lucifer. Nifty enjoys being a a maid and even 'likes being forced' as she puts it, but has a very messed up and cruel personality who constantly rejects good and pursues 'bad boys' as romantic partners, notably including Lucifer himself once. That's probably not enough to start _seriously_ that she's secretly Eve in disguise or anything, but it is a surprising amount of loose connections between these two rather flat or mysterious characters so far. (Besides, most Nifty or Eve theories are just for fun at this stage anyway.) Plus it'd give some surprise retroactive impact to her being the one to kill Adam. Doubly so if, as I theorize, Roo has the power to bring him and others who've fallen to Angelic Steel back.
I think Alastor would tell Niffty to give her soul to him if she wants to live and Niffty would just be like "ok!" and they would grow closer as time passes on.
Seeing as Viv said in S2 will be about the back stories of the characters before hell (with Saint Pentious being first), we'll see what her origins are.
Yeah I never noticed before that she never called Alastor a "bad boy" and that she too is almost always smiling. There are some interesting parallels between these two.
Imagine if they met because Nifty saw Alastor cleaning up the evidence of one of his murders, and just started cleaning it up for him, not realizing it was a crime scene.
Honestly, the idea of when she first met Niffty was a yandere Alastor fangirl is kind of hilarious. Actually, given that she gets to do things like get close to/touch Al, hurt Val, and repeatedly stab Adam, maybe Niffty could be considered a representation of the more manic side of the fandom if not a watered down version of its more unhinged fans(except the eagerness of trying to kill Angel)
My take: She is a spawn of Alastor in some way. Maybe a (probably adopted) daughter, a creation similar to Pentious Egglings (Maybe Razzle and Dazzle) or something like that
This is actually a really interesting theory and probably likely. I do feel like even though Nifty is more the comic relief of the show, actually looking at how she acts does have potential for a dark backstory. The only part I don’t believe is the last part, but idk if you were even fully serious with it, so whatever. Also I really hope they expand on Nifty and Alastor’s relationship in the second season. I just love their dynamic lol. I have a few other thoughts, but idk how to put them into words, and this is already getting long. So I’ll just end this by saying this was a great theory and video 👍
Two points: Nifty's reaction to being on camera. Deer-in-the-headlights horror,or possibly intimidation. The source of this must be linked to her demise, caught on camera freezing her up at a tragic moment, her train of thought derailing. And the second being that all of hell knowing her as the slayer of Adam. Since her first reaction was camera induced catatonic shock, she may not even be aware of how well known she has become, nor of what hell's heavies may do,suddenly being the focal point of many mechanazations. I look forward to finding out in Season 2.
She kinds of reminds me of Bree van der Kamp from desperate housewives. That need to overly clean the house, be the perfect housewife and get off all the pest, can be a sign of big childhood trauma and the need to cover up. Sometimes, serial killers and psychopaths build up perfect facades of a beautiful, normal, harmonic life but behind that facade are the darkest and most evil secrets hiding. I can very well imagine Niffty as having been the girlfriend/wife of a serial killer. While her man kills innocent people, she did everything to cover up, being in love with a really bad guy and helping him to cover. Until she finally snapped, like, killing a cop who got to close to the secrets and starting to kill people on her own to keep up with the coverage of her man's deeds. Psychologically, that would fit very well to her character and behaviour.
4:29 my theory is that she isn’t “camera shy”. But instead of she has actually made a deal with Alastor, the deal included her doing that in front of any cameras because of Alastor hatred for them
Okay the Roo Theory is fun and all but what if Niffty hates bugs so much because she knows about Roo and knows about the deal with Alastor, so whenever she sees bugs she wants to kill them. It brings a darker subtext to her conversation with Mimzie. the bugs are winning for now... and maybe the bugs are actually Roo's spies not Niffty.
I've heard that Niffty broke into the house of a boy she was into, caught him with another girl and shot her. Then the house was set on fire and both her and the boy died, ending up in hell; wich is why she made a deal with Alastor, for him to protect her in case she ever stumbled on to the boy she burned.
I really hope we have a lot of nifty in season 2, but I also hope there is no origin story. Her being a little gremlin without any explanation makes the character better IMHO.
Honestly, I think at the final episode we will meet God, who notes Nifty and calls her something the show hints at in later season, and then we learn that Nifty isn't even the whole being, with her other half up in heaven due to a botched lobotomy literally splitting her soul somehow, and the psychotic shell she was left as became Nifty, while the original girl (barely) became an angel...
In the pilot episode two of the overlord silhouettes look like Husk and Niffty. Also, Vox seems to recognize Niffty and is mysteriously excited or happy she got the attention of killing the leader of the Exorcists, Adam. Niffty might have been a forgotten Overlord who made a deal or befriended Alastor before Val joined in the 1970s and before Alastor and Vox's fallout. Either that or Vox is just happy he has the on-screen recorded proof needed that demons can kill powerful angels like Adam. Enough proof to convince all of Hell's population to declare war on Heaven and overthrow the angels with their sheer numbers and powers.
I totally stayed for that last conspiracy theory, and I like it. I'm still on the fence about Roo in general, but after seeing that shared moment with Alastor and Nifty, I have the strongest feeling that she has some kind of connection with Alastor's deal.
This was a genuinely good theory! And I actually found myself agreeing with the Nifty-Roo connection. I've personally had the theory for a while now that Nifty, being a woman in the 50s, ended doing nothing with her life because a) woman in the 50s, and, b), more thematically, she was afraid of going to hell for sinning. So she avoided any and all sin in her life as much as she could. She was constantly at work so as not to be slothful, she never dated or even taked to boys to avoid lust, she didnt interact with girls to avoid envy, she ate very little to avoid gluttony, she inflicted pain on herself and insects to avoid wrath, and she didn't let herself have or want anything to avoid greed. This resulted in her living a pathetic, boring, pitiful nothing of a life before her death. And whoop-de-doo, she ended up in hell anyway. The idea that she did everything right, drew inside every line, and played by every book was so great that she decided to let out all of her pent-up desire to sin in hell. That's what hells for, right? (This is mostly based on the TGAMM finale. If you know, you know. It's also another point under the 'Heaven's Rigged' argument)
So uhm i realised… this entire episode you were analysing nifty. But the descriptions u give were so accurate to me personally that I’m actually terrified.
Also in the legends of the Kantō region, hitotsume-kozō would go around houses carrying a notebook on Kotoyōka and would investigate houses that had bad door fastenings or bad manners, and determine their fortune,[11] or report it to the yakubyōgami and bring about misfortune. (From wiki) So shes useful and entertaining to Alastor but also a good spy. I do think she was shot to death. I think she got involved with the mafia IRL and fell for one of them, and he treated her like garbage, but again, she was USEFUL.
As some one who researched autism before I notice how in 8:15 some were common symptoms but take that with a grain of salt split into a trillion pieces
11:34 my theory is both, the guy calls the cops, house gets set on fire, guy escapes, niffty escapes partialy burnt, cops arrive, niffty starts a lunge, cops shoot her 3 times, and she,in shock, stumbles backwards into the fire and burns to death.
To be fair I think good people in the helluvers go to hell as well Because of one minor flaw that drags them down to damb nation Think about it If you are a drug addict you would go to hell If you have too much lust the same happens It us like your trying to swim to heaven but your ankle it tied to a rock that drags you down to hell because of one of your sins are just way too strong Like husk for an example He was a gamble addict Drinking isn't really a sin so he most likely just gambled too much and that ended him up in hell He seems like a good person at heart but he just can't get over his addiction If i am wrong then can you think of a better idea?
Husk was a member of the original mafia that ran Las Vegas. He did A LOT more then just gamble to end up in Hell, especially as he was an Overlord. Edit: this is information I heard from someone who looks into EVERYTHING involving shows and things he likes in general, so I’m not 100% sure where he originally got this information he told me. But it does make sense.
This video is amazing :) and you're amazing for making it. I always knew Nifty was a roach demon, she's just never been angry enough to grow her second set of arms in front of everyone. Viv has already confirmed demons and angels have larger, more monstrous, 'Pure' forms that reveal all of their soul's true power, usually resembling their based animal designs (like stolas when he gets enraged :) Between all of her scuttling, blatant roach obsession, time period of life, and general resilience, it makes sense a gal like her would be cursed as a little bug demon to learn her lessons. **Gets to end of the video** ...Oh Dear😳...
Nifty's true form... Roo, who due to some miss-filing ended up WAY back, starting all of it... would be a f*cking amusing backstory actually... hmmm maybe at the end of the series Nifty ends up killing Roo only to be cursed to take Roo's place at the beginning and the story cycles eternally for Nifty... holy shit-spawn like Adam...
See, theory crafting like this? The kind that involves research into the Sinners’ historical contexts and cultures because it really makes it that much more interesting and learning is fun? That’s what I really missed about this fanbase. Al’s life has understandably been done to death (no pun intended), but I do really want to theorize more about Husk being a Navajo Code Talker and Pentious being Anglo-Indian and things like that, backstories are fun! *:D*
Her obsession with cleanliness and punishing cockroaches is very telling, IMO. She died at 22, and since people manifest aspects of themselves in Hell, it makes me wonder if she was held or tortured in a dirty place, possibly also forced to clean, and tried to have a sunny / optimistic outlook to get through it. Whatever it is, I think it's going to be heartbreaking. Alastor is patient with her because he must know what she's been through. I think the contract was very willing on her part.
Something I like about Niffty is that because we don’t have a full backstory, we get to make up our own. Here’s mine: Niffty lived in the 1950s. (Obvious by the poodle skirt) She was born with dwarfism, which means that she was an outcast and she got made fun of a lot, which gave her a very big and psychotic urge to take revenge, (Which explains why she’s so obsessed with stabbing) but she never actually got to it. Then one day she met a handsome rich man who offered her a job as a house maid in his mansion and she accepted. Now, Niffty had a REALLY bug crush on this guy. The only thing she cared about was one day being with him. Until one day she told her that he was going on a vacation trip for three days and trusted her to take care of the house while he was gone. She happily agreed and was preparing herself to tell him she loved him over those three days. But when he finally got back he revealed that in those three days, he had met a pretty woman and married her. Niffty was extremely angry at him, so angry that that night, she took a knife from the kitchen and stabbed them both in her sleep. However, someone heard the screaming sounds and called the police, and once they got there they shot her three times. Which explains the stains in her shirt.
I remember a video i watched which briefly talked about the "the trad relationship we all romanticise" (i think it was by Adam Something), and it showed a newspaper that in the 1950s interviewed housewives for an article, and they talked about how absolutely hollow and miserable they felt
Wait what if roo created nifty for a bigger purpose? Think about it because Adam was the only one to not eat the apple but eve eating the apple let too spread across earth so I think too might have bit of hatred. Maybe creating something for the ultimate goal of killing Adam and decided to make it look like them? Maybe I dunno…….Nifty?
alright the end part of the video is the one i agree with the most, as my friend told me his theory was that niffty owns alastor's soul, but with different evidence supporting this, as she uses a needle to stab at the bugs. And when alastor made that deal with charlie he has stitches on his face yeah? well it could be that the only deal she made was for him to be her friend after doing that to his face, but after watching this it's way more agreeable
Intriguing… I can see that being an accidental deal being made. Just like I suspect his deal with Charlie for a favour to not hurt anyone ‘but that would slow down your redemption and hurt you’. Altruists always get a bum deal.
I can top that I have a theory that not only was she psychotic in life but was also afflicted with a growth condition seeing as she’s so small I think she was basically babydoll from Batman the animated series but in the fifties. She was a fully grown woman when she died and before that people saw her as nothing but a child. Now I kind of want a comic of overlord nifty trying to shoot Alastair with a gun after showing a grown up version of herself in a hall of mirrors, go! Write your fanfics

Keeping ledgers you say... sounds like that secretly a Spy for Rue theory might have more bite then initially proposed.
Why have i seen no one talking about this?!?!
OOOOOOOOO~ I like this tie-in~
that CANNOT be unintentional, it literally matches nifty to a tee
A god of pestilence and bad luck? Like maybe a 'King Roach'...
Would be kinda messed up if being lobotomized last into the afterlife.
plus Alastor said “oh to understand your twisted mind” to her during episode 8 before the battle
Most mental illnesses could be cured in the afterlive because of the complete change of physiology. You could get an entire new brain with functional parts where you previously only had defect brain-parts. But what stays is how you learned to use your previous brain.

Probably not. Lobo results in loss of excitability not mania
I theorize she was married to an abusive man who constantly scolded and abused her for not being “a perfect housewife” and not keeping his house clean enough. Or she murdered the both and then she was shot by police
Really pulling the ‘I just killed my ex, not the best idea’ strings, buddy.
Honestly? Maybe she was shot three times (none of the positions were fatal) and then the guy set his house on fire after she killed the mistress.
Especially the way she reacted to being told she's a mess

One detail I find interesting about Nifty, is that her obsession with killing bugs and how she mentions killing the mothers as a warning to the children, is something that parallels her role in the war with Heaven, to the point that she ended up killing the "mother bug", Adam, and that was a very real warning to the angels that the hotel can put up a fight.
oof
I never noticed that 😮😮😮😮
Niffty was definetly an overlord before Alastor decided to contain her. Alastor's whole thing is destroying overlords he despises and making the ones that he's fond of his pets, so this backstory isn't too far fetched
im accepting this as canon xDD
It's true because in the pilot where they said "all overlords" husk and nifty were there but also, nifty has made a deal with Alastor that's why she lost her power @@moremore_fight
@@moremore_fight I accept as Canon that she owns Alistair‘s soul.
Honestly this makes sense
I think it's also likely Alastor didn't try that hard to convince her. I think Alastor probably gave her something she auctully wanted. I think he offered her genuine companionship. You see he doesn't give her orders. He just let her do what she will and they both benefit
Nifty is clearly the Overlord of all insect souls... except a few stragglers that defied her,
That's why she hunts down and torments insects, to send a message to the other insect souls not owned by her.
this would be hilarious if it's true

Nifty: That a promise~?
Alastor: …(Ace mindset kicks in) …and you made it awkward.

NAH- I KNEW THAT VOICE SOUNDED FAMILIAR😭😭💀💀💀
NO FUCKING WAY
WHY DO THEY VOICE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT CHARACTERS?!
@@orianefaton1885 Yup.
i like to imagine that when Nifty and Al first met he was so annoyed with her cause she kept following him no matter where he went but then he realised that anytime he did anything evil (so like pretty much everything he does) she'd be so thrilled and be praising him for it and Al being the narcissist that he is decided to keep her around just to feel good abt himself, and maybe that's one of the reasons he gets along so well with her, cause she worships him as much as he worships himself
Sounds right to me
I can't believe I just now put together that Nifty and Cherri bomb being cyclopes is symbolism for having a one track mind or tunnel vision, Cherri is anarchy and Nifty is cleanliness. 🤦
I still think that a tragic backstory sounds more rational, IMHO. Being a spy created by Roo sounds a tad far fetched.
The spy or avatar story sounds hopelessly cliché and a waste of an interesting character.
The housewife horror story is much more interesting because it used to be very real. Real horrors are the most scary horrors of all.
Who even is Roo?
@@ZeroRoyale , according to what FinnthePony and couple other UA-camrs have pointed out, Roo is supposed to be The Root of all Evil in Vivziepop’s Hellaverse.
Well, people thought Vaggie being an Angel was far- fetched so, until we see all the seasons let's keep an open mind.
@@seeleunit2000 , okay.
I think Nifty gave her soul to Alastor voluntarily, and their contract is basically a platonic D/s thing. She gets a surprisingly safe way to satisfy her "get pushed around by a big scary bad man" urges and he gets a loyal and entertaining minion.
It is the vibe they give me, still owned by alastor but not resentful and fucked over like husk.
@@KelpieRider same
My theories on Nifty:
1) She sold her soul to the same person as Alastor and is subject to similar restrictions (always smiling, not being compatible with cameras)
2) She's so small because she was in love with a boy who saw her as a little sister, killing him as a result.
3) We'll see she kept Adam's body & has turned it into a literal puppet in season 2
"I kill Daddy Angels and put on puppet shows for the little angels as a warning."
Nifty has red and yellow eyes depending on her stress level... well eye.
@@swimmingmide False. Every cannibal has black eyes. Every overlord owns souls but Rosie, Zestial, Zeezi, and Nergal do not have red eyes.
I really hope your third theory plays out true! 🔥😈🔥
@swimmingmide false, as proven with Vox owned souls, they change in a way consistent to the owner, but not always to black.
11:52 I would like to offer another idea. I read in a fanfic that nifty might have been lobotomized, or subject to some crude from of brain surgery where they went in through her eye, which would explain why she only has one in hell.
What's the fic's name? 👁️
It not a nifty focus fic, she mostly just in the background, but it’s called “Anthony hate club” on ao3 @@Kye9842
Can you perhaps give me the fanfics name? I crave angst and i need my one eyed bean to be traumatized 🤭
It’s a background thing. The fics mostly just crack taken seriously @@SillyLilT3rm1nat0rZ
@voxmygf maybe that is the issue she gets labotomized either before or after doing what ever sent her to hell and upon arrival in hell all those lil impulses came slamming back in so hard she cracked all over again or she might not even be the full girl just the manic impulses that got cut out which would have all kinds of potential wrinkles in the lore to tug on
I saw someone say that nifty's thing with being obsessed with cleaning and killing bugs could be an ocd thing and I'm considering it.
So I'm not the only one who thinks that she was yandere
All of these people theorizing that niffty was abused and lobotomized. You're the first one that's picked up on the elephant in the room, Niffty is in hell. You don't go to hell for being lobotomized.
100% Niffty killed a guy she was obsessed with and then herself. Therefore she's in hell.
The mere idea of Niffty is so hilariously possible that I am genuinely wondering it now
Also, the fire or gun shot death for Niffty both make sense, I'd even go so far as to side BOTH, she might've been cooking and set a fire this then leader to her unwilling love interest to shoot her three times until she either died of blood loss or burning to death from the fire
Alastor throwing himself into a heavy amount of danger for Niffty is something i need to see now.
I’m very excited to know more about Nifty in season 2 and this adorable funny small child but also completely psychotic dark sided character 😂
She is 22 actually 😅
Why she look like a child
@@Shinigintz she's just short
She isn’t a child
I hope she gets a song in season 2
You make her story work so well for her character!
“She eventually meets up with tall dark and scary himself” 💀💀💀
(Besides, most Nifty or Eve theories are just for fun at this stage anyway.)
Plus it'd give some surprise retroactive impact to her being the one to kill Adam.
HA! So glad I'm not the only one who had the "Nifty is Roo" idea!
Good theory but i think i remember Vivienne saying that Nifty met Alastor while they were alive. Apart from that, very interesting.
Impossible. Their eras don't match up
It's Mimsy who he knew when he was alive
@@JasTheSass that would be so fucking funny
Honestly, the idea of when she first met Niffty was a yandere Alastor fangirl is kind of hilarious. Actually, given that she gets to do things like get close to/touch Al, hurt Val, and repeatedly stab Adam, maybe Niffty could be considered a representation of the more manic side of the fandom if not a watered down version of its more unhinged fans(except the eagerness of trying to kill Angel)
I imagine Alastor views Nifty as a sort of pet. Shes cute, small, energetic, and unapologetically disturbed and psycho... like a chihuahua
Two points:
Nifty's reaction to being on camera.
10:38 Tearing up at that animation and scream made me realize I would kill to protect that precious little psycho.
3:55 probably because Nifty stays in line more than husk
4:29 my theory is that she isn’t “camera shy”. But instead of she has actually made a deal with Alastor, the deal included her doing that in front of any cameras because of Alastor hatred for them
Okay but why can Husk be on camera?
I like the idea of Alastor threatening Nifty, her being into the threats, and Alastor going "wait, what just happened ? ... F**k!"
Finally, I have been wondering what her backstory was.
THE BULLET DESIGN ON DRESS MAKES SO MUCH SENSE TO ME
In the pilot episode two of the overlord silhouettes look like Husk and Niffty.
Remember Vox also supposedly died in th 1950s. Perhaps he recognized her.
I totally stayed for that last conspiracy theory, and I like it. I'm still on the fence about Roo in general, but after seeing that shared moment with Alastor and Nifty, I have the strongest feeling that she has some kind of connection with Alastor's deal.
A wife always smiling is something expected in the fifties. Her mom may have literally beaten it into her.
It's like the Joker once said, all it takes is "One bad day."
Something that I'm glad happened is that in school I was actually learning about WW II and executive order 9066
8:41 Not expecting demoman to be there, "AYE, ME BOTTLES O SCRUMPEH!!"
0:33 That one’s FRED. (Triggers Vietnam flashback)
Not nifty, turning in to angel😂😂 13:56
Wonderful theory as always!
And... gosh, if there's therapy in Heaven, I hope she gets herself some after she gets redeemed. The poor girl needs it.
Yeah she does need to make peace with the mess in herself.
Your theory is intriguing. Love that unhinged root of all evil thought at the end.
So uhm i realised… this entire episode you were analysing nifty.
But the descriptions u give were so accurate to me personally that I’m actually terrified.
I headcanon that Niffty was a teen bride/mom who stabbed her kids & husband then did the unalive via oven gas
The editing and work put into his video is insane. This deserves at least a quarter million views within the next couple months.
I was also thinking maybe all the stress got to her and instead of snapping, she took her own life. Would partly explain why she loves pain
Also in the legends of the Kantō region, hitotsume-kozō would go around houses carrying a notebook on Kotoyōka and would investigate houses that had bad door fastenings or bad manners, and determine their fortune,[11] or report it to the yakubyōgami and bring about misfortune. (From wiki)
So shes useful and entertaining to Alastor but also a good spy.
I do think she was shot to death. I think she got involved with the mafia IRL and fell for one of them, and he treated her like garbage, but again, she was USEFUL.
Top notch editing and story telling. Amazing video.
To be fair
I think good people in the helluvers go to hell as well
Because of one minor flaw that drags them down to damb nation
Think about it
If you are a drug addict you would go to hell
If you have too much lust the same happens
It us like your trying to swim to heaven but your ankle it tied to a rock that drags you down to hell because of one of your sins are just way too strong
Like husk for an example
He was a gamble addict
Drinking isn't really a sin so he most likely just gambled too much and that ended him up in hell
He seems like a good person at heart but he just can't get over his addiction
If i am wrong then can you think of a better idea?
Husk was a member of the original mafia that ran Las Vegas. He did A LOT more then just gamble to end up in Hell, especially as he was an Overlord.
Edit: this is information I heard from someone who looks into EVERYTHING involving shows and things he likes in general, so I’m not 100% sure where he originally got this information he told me. But it does make sense.
3:09 “now get the c4” is something im gonna say whenever someone or something hurts me
This video is amazing :) and you're amazing for making it. I always knew Nifty was a roach demon, she's just never been angry enough to grow her second set of arms in front of everyone. Viv has already confirmed demons and angels have larger, more monstrous, 'Pure' forms that reveal all of their soul's true power, usually resembling their based animal designs (like stolas when he gets enraged :)
Between all of her scuttling, blatant roach obsession, time period of life, and general resilience, it makes sense a gal like her would be cursed as a little bug demon to learn her lessons.
**Gets to end of the video**
...Oh Dear😳...
Nifty really reminds me of Mort from the Madagascar series
oh god no we do not need hell to have its own version of MORT -The Theorizer probably

also Incase y'all didn't noticed but in Japan they add a year for when they were from the womb so she may actually died when she was 21
18:40 bro cooked but no one but me was hungry
Her obsession with cleanliness and punishing cockroaches is very telling, IMO. She died at 22, and since people manifest aspects of themselves in Hell, it makes me wonder if she was held or tortured in a dirty place, possibly also forced to clean, and tried to have a sunny / optimistic outlook to get through it. Whatever it is, I think it's going to be heartbreaking. Alastor is patient with her because he must know what she's been through. I think the contract was very willing on her part.
When you started talking as Nifty I started using my crazy voice to mimic it I realize now my crazy voice is basically Nifty
I just realized that despite one eye, two tear streams

12:01 so umm fun fact In 40k,the number 3 is the holy number of the god of rot and grossness, nurgle. Quite funny for a Maide lol
Something I like about Niffty is that because we don’t have a full backstory, we get to make up our own. Here’s mine:
Niffty lived in the 1950s.
15:42 DAMNNN BROS SKINNY AS HELL-
3:35
i'm pretty sure she mentioned that she enjoyed having her soul being owned by alastor. i might be crazy tho-
7:58
Her bio says she has severe OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder)
13:00 Ooooh~ I see what you did there😅
I can top that I have a theory that not only was she psychotic in life but was also afflicted with a growth condition seeing as she’s so small I think she was basically babydoll from Batman the animated series but in the fifties. She was a fully grown woman when she died and before that people saw her as nothing but a child. Now I kind of want a comic of overlord nifty trying to shoot Alastair with a gun after showing a grown up version of herself in a hall of mirrors, go! Write your fanfics
Maybe it's a mix of both deaths? Maybe Niffty got shot three times by the guy she liked while the house was on fire.
Sounds like she is a sort of a Harley Quin type characters.
Im so glad to see this show is getting people to talk about things like this.
12:16 I love nifty she so cute and creepy.
I hear that why is nifty in hell is Because she accidentally kill a lot of people and kill her self out of guilt
6:01 tbh i wanted him to say "Then I recommend turning off your wifi."
It's possible that Niffty is Rute's daughter.
Given Alister knew her when she was alive she could be his actual living daughter too… (Japanese mum, Carole dad, what a combo)
4:54 a BitLife ad came on after he transitioned to talking about her human life😭
19:24 I’m still here.
Niffty freezing on camra gives her a more human side. I myself feel uneasy on camra
