Thank you so much for the instruction! Perhaps worth mentioning, I could not find the kit anywhere in the world but Australia, so I had to go through some trouble getting one shipped to Mexico for a 2020 Montero Sport. I had to de-pin and re-pin two connectors since they would not line up with the connectors of the truck. Additionally, the drain does have a hose, you need to remove a red tape that is "locking" the rubber grommet and pull the new harness next to the hose. Hope this helps someone.
Good job 👍, nearly all terminals are removed by gently bending down a tab and pushing out, my preferred tool is the smallest flat bladed watch makers screwdriver or a sewing pin. Connector shells with the terminals removed are best sealed with a tiny bit of sealant. The click when reinserting the terminal is important, unless it clicks there's a good chance the terminal will back out when the two connectors are joined.
I am in the Philippines, checked mitsubishi website no mention of this kit, do you have the part no.of this kit? Also in the Philippines they don't call it pajero its just montero sport. I have a 2016 model, whats urs in this video?
@@T.A.G the availability of part here in Philippines is terrible, would prefer to order overseas, possibly oz might be the best bet. There was another question I had related to something not shown in ur video, the connection to the trailer end. I thought trailer light kits normally come with a round 7 pin IP rated circular plugs, how did u connect urs as at the end of the video it was a rectangle connector?
@@T.A.G thanks for the info and quick reply mate. Funny enough I just found the kit online from a Australian supplier (genuine mitsubishi parts) after using ur search phrase "trailer ecu harness" super helpful, the part no.is MZ350586. Also, maybe silly questions, sure u will know the answer, the description from the seller says trailer brake light harness, and ecu to be bought separately, my questions. 1.)This harness will operate indicators too? 2.) And if I won't be having a trailer with brakes (only got my dirt bikes on a small trailer) do I need the ecu? Assuming this ecu is for controlling the brakes?
@@T.A.G I mate I am looking to install a redarc controller , where would I find the other end of that red wire if it is for electric brakes ?, I thought the blue wire number 5 service brakes was the the electric brakes ? can you help me out here thanks.

What was the forst connection you made? I can't see a vacant plug in front of the battery in my car.
@@dhops81 main power to the trailer harness, it's taped up into the loom

Great vid, What was the red wire for that was taped back at the plug end?
The one at the trailer plug?
I think it's the electric brakes if fitted or an auxilery power. If have to look into it

Hey mate. The redarc should come with install instructions. Otherwise hit up an autosparky. I'm not 100% on wires I didn't use etc.
Does anyone know the the part number? The Mitsui dealership sent me MZ350662.. ffs
Hey mate. Mine was MI-AU900465. Straight from mitsi mate, that's on my invoice
I paid $171
