    I was about to buy a GS Mini when I saw a comment about these on a (GS Mini) review. I played both and bought the Yamaha - and it's incredible. It took a little getting used to coming from drednaughts, but now I've really fallen in love with it. It has a real sweetness to it. I was tempted to buy the trans accoustic (built in reverb / chorus) version, but I don't think it's needed. I'm certainly not missing it. The CSF3M has this strange 'reverb of it's own'. Especially if I put a capo up around the 5th fret, then, using a pick instead of fingers, dig in a little harder. I've never really heard a guitar do this before. It's kind of like the smaller size, with solid build / good woods, gets a real resonance going. It's utterly enchanting and addictive. The more I play Yamahas the more I'm blown away. Most underated guitars on the planet.

      You made the right choice. The GS Mini has layered wood for the back and sides and will not age well. Your CSF3M will sound better as it ages due to the all-solid, mahogany back and sides. In a year from now, it will sound way better. Also, you can try different strings. Sometimes you have to try a few different brands of strings until you find the ones that sound the best. I would stick with light gauge on that size guitar. Play on!

    I ended up buying one of these secondhand after watching this.
    I’m nowhere near the player that you are, your style is amazing.
    I have found this guitar to be addictive which is doing wonders for my playing.
    Thank you.

    Tasty playing! You made that guitar sound as good, if not better than it looks. And it’s pretty sweet looking.

    Great playing. Surprisingly deep base for such a compact, little guitar. I am wondering why it isn't as well known as Taylor's GS mini or the Little Martin. IMHO it sounds much more mature. Just ordered mine.

    I got one of the about 5 months ago and love it. I'm surprised they're not better known. I like these much better than the GS Mini and whatever the Martin equivalent is. Try one out if you can.

    you got me convinced. i was gonna go a different brand for my parlor guitar but after just buying An APX 1000 on that day i tried an FSTA In Vintage color and fell in love with it on the fist try of magic so i put one on layaway right there and then .I'll put this one on layaway after i pay for the FSTA Vintage . I will not go wrong by choosing this for my parlor by the sound and look of this. All i have to do is feel it and try it now. Thank you for making my mind up :)

      I am looking at these models also, I currently have a Taylor Mini-GS which I do love, but these guitars as you see/hear, sound exceptionally great (as do the Mini-GS's) and Yamaha typically play / are set up great (necks)- I have picked one of these Yamahas up before and loved it, sounded great, anyway, it is a hard choice! I would try both out, similar price points. I just love the parlor size, easy on the hands/fingers /lower tension on the strings and still sound/ project well. Just FYI, the Taylors are also typically set up very nice, no extra set up needed (usually) - another thing I am picky about, as IMO, the neck is almost everything on a guitar, if not set up right, it's junk! Good luck on your search. Just FYI, Yamaha also make a new very similar model in the TransAcoustic models -: www.musiciansfriend.com/guitars/yamaha-csf-ta-transacoustic-parlor-acoustic-electric-guitar/l47049000001000?cntry=us&source=3WWRWXGP&gclid=Cj0KCQjwgo_5BRDuARIsADDEntQVdLhGsKdrFz2G9fIkSwbkkjPpajcqW8s6Zqle_Wno4XCdOnSntwkaAj28EALw_wcB -It is almost exactly like this model demoed above but has built-in digital reverbs and chorus! No amp needed! I played one and immediately wanted it, played like a dream and sounded fantastic with or without the effects! A little more money but I think well worth it, I already purchased the TransAcoustic Classical guitar (I play mostly classical guitar) and play the crap out of it, sounds wonderful! But if I were to get a parlor guitar, I would seriously consider the Transacoustic. I am looking at the above model on CraigsList locally, someone selling one there, very tempting, but, I have too many guitars already (it's a sickness, LOL. I have GAS ->Gear Acquisition Syndrome) - happy hunting!

      @@edkawalec3360 thanks for this detailed response. When it comes down to playability, which of the two aforementioned in your opinion, takes the cake?

    • @Manchestermusicmill
      @Manchestermusicmill  3 роки тому

      Hi Eliza, it's very hard to suggest which is better. If you have the opportunity to try both out that would be best. However we might give a slight nod to the Taylor in this match up. Both are excellent choices and really comes down to comfort and preference. Thank you! Please visit manchestermusicmill.com for these models!

      Hi, this is Tom from Manchester Music Mill. The playing from 36" through 1' 25" of the video were some improvised Blues ideas in the key of E. The chordal sequence from 1'26" through 1' 44" underlies a beautiful musical theme that is alternatively called "The Infinite Universe" or "The Universe Spreading to Infinity", which comes from an Anime show I used to watch as a child, called "Star Blazers" ("Space Battleship Yamato"). The rest of the playing is just further extemporaneous ideas.

    Почему у американцев в головах только эти примитивные мелодии, больше 10 секунд невозможно слушать, и они всегда используют их для демонстрации звучания прекрасных гитар?
