NEW DS Back in Time to 1795 - Vicki Is Too Honest

- Barnabas tries to help Vicki to avoid prosecution. Things are going well with a judge who would be able to help Vicki until Vicki starts to tell the judge about her time travel. Barnabas and Josette meet. Barnabas warns Josette about a witch but does not tell her that it is Angelique. Josette will go away and Barnabas and Josette will meet in Boston. Angelique wants eyes on Barnabas and sends a bat to watch him.

Vicki could use professional representation when being questioned. Not a good idea to mention time travel when you're already being held for witchcraft.

Too bad Vicki had to be so darned truthful. Now they think she is insane as well as a witch! lol! Now we know why Barnabas doesn't tell the truth about who he is, and what time he came from! For me there were three huge advances in the Collins' saga. The first was when Barnabas the vampire came into the story. But he really needed a worthy opponent. So, the second big advance was the introduction of Angelique into the story as Barnabas' nemesis, which is when things really got interesting.
Angelique is a wicked character we love to hate. And like most wicked characters, Angelique usually gets the most interesting and juiciest story lines.
I think that's why she and Barnabas are the most memorable characters, with Quentin Collins joining them later in the series as an initially wicked character turned rakish rogue, but one who is haunted by his secret past. It is the introduction of Quentin Collins that is the third big advance in the Collins saga.
A fourth character that also stood out to me is Nicolas Blair/Evan Handley, the warlock, but he seems not to get the general acclaim that I think he deserves. He becomes Angelique's worthy nemesis when she helps Barnabas and Quentin, and then when she is attempting to become a relatively good human being in the later episodes. He is another wicked character I love to hate.

Even though Barnabas knows what Angelique is, he still underestimates her.
Josette says she doesn't believe in witchcraft (how soon that will change). If only Barnabas could have told her the witch was NOT Vicki, but I suppose even that bit of knowledge would have been detrimental to Josette's safety.
I like that Josette believes and trusts in Barnabas' warnings, even if Natalie doesn't.

She did make one mention of him (rather indirectly though) when Peter asked her if there was someone in her life back in her own time.

I love the fact that your video releases tell the story in sequential order but I encourage you to put some kind of sequence number at the beginning of the description instead of "NEW" - they all say that. The only date that UA-cam shows when suggesting a video is "1 Month Ago" so in a month these will all show the same thing. Can this series have a unique playlist before you move on to another time period?
We appreciate the suggestion and will consider a change. Based on viewer feedback, we did add the Episode numbers to each segment. Please do note that there is a playlist for 1795. It is called Dark Shadows in 1795. There are a number of videos from 2 years ago. At that time, the episodes included highlights rather than full episodes. If you go through the list to the first one that says 1 month ago, the list that follows will be the list of videos in order. We are working on a new version that will include screening. If a video suggestion for this channel comes up in my feed, I can’t tell where in the sequence it belongs because it’s not in the description. If it showed that it was 06 then I could easily go back and find 01 and watch the entire sequence again. Then you’d have multiple views instead of just one. Can you create seaparate playlists for each new sequence? They’re fine when you’re watching them as they’re being posted but a new viewer who sees a random recommendation won’t know that. Again, thank you. I really do enjoy how you’ve curated them.
