Joshua can see right through Nathan's deception. Love the way he interrogates Nathan and is able to decipher his lies from some of what Joshua knows to be true.

What great villains Jerry Lacy and Clarice Blackburn and Joel Crothers make in this story.

The conversation between Abigail and Trask was so well written. Pompousity disguised as righteousness 😂

I was just thinking about Miss Wick, who was to be Sarah's governess and wound up switching places with Vicky at the seance. Odd that when they switched back it was Miss Wick, apparently, who actually took the fall as the innocent victim of Angelique. I wonder, after the switch which changed past events, whether either of them were mentioned in the book. With Vicky having been the only one to be Sarah's governess before the girl died, how could Miss Wick have even known any of the family? Yet she winds up taking Vicky's place when time switches back. How could that happen that she'd still be punished after Vicky's time travel would have changed things? Very strange...but as I said earlier... it's TV.

Have to say, Nathan deserves the lashing out he got from Joshua. Knowing what I do now, I always laugh my head off when Nathan keeps swearing on how much he truly 'loves' Millicent. Joshua wasn't buying it though, as well he shouldn't.
Peter unsuccessfully attempts to get Ben to agree to testify on Vicki's behalf. I do wish Ben hadn't referred to Vicki as 'the witch' especially when he knows she's innocent. Joshua hadn't yet arrived, Ben should have just referred to her as Miss Winters. I was right, Joshua is going to brow-beaten Ben into not lifting a finger to help her though. Peter must feel so helpless, he knows Vicki is doomed without one person speaking up on her behalf.
Hate to break it to Abigail, but even accused witches are entitled to fair trials and due process. Neither she nor Trask are among 'the good and the truly just' even though he thinks they are. Now Abigail is putting it into Trask's head to scare Peter out of defending Vicki. Hardly the actions of someone who is 'pure at heart' and 'believes in justice'.
Fortunately, Ben was able to talk Barnabas out of killing Peter, pointing out that with him gone, there would be absolutely no one to help Vicki.
I don't like how Barnabas nearly killed Ben for merely doing what he was told to do by Joshua and bury Josette.
Barnabas is so grief-stricken and enraged over losing her, not only does he not have a problem with wanting to kill his loyal servant, he wants everyone else to die since Josette is dead, no one else should live either. Barnabas really has become too much of a bloodthirsty animal by now.

In yesterday's episode when Vicky had that outburst saying why she "did those things" (should have said she "said those things"). Trask yells out that Vicky made a confession. No. She was not under oath so it's inadmissible. Oh, but this is a TV show...they can do what they want. 😢
