    Very important ..key words ..without your conscious awareness . This is how we end up living in survival mode for decades, complex trauma..the body is intelligent and the brain is always scanning for threat . To survive. We can tell our minds all day long that “it’s not abuse…he’s not physically abusing me” or whatever it is (my case Narcissistic Abuse) but my mind doesn’t distinguish between so called “physical” abuse and “emotional” abuse. The nervous system responds the same. Adapting to survive.

      I have 48 years worth of trauma stored in my body with maybe a 2-year break.. these techniques really do help more than anything I've ever tried

      Remember to flush your body with water often and try to breathe slowly and be conscious of relaxing your shoulders and jaw throughout the day because we have a tendency to hold tension in our neck without even realizing it

      @@merncat3384 Exactly!!! I'm constantly clenching my jaw! And my shoulders are always tight and stiff
