    Excellent video, Sean. Not that I don't enjoy it when you narrate, but the slomo really does instruct and reveal far better than any technical talk can. I can also see how you've refined your swing from previous older videos and it looks terrific. Well done.

    I never noticed that the swing is very slightly OTT. That’s where some of the free leverage comes from. Solid stuff!

    Reminds of Freddy Couples swing. Is the ES patterned after FC’s swing?

    •  Рік тому +3

      Thanks for the compliment! I guess anyone with an easy swing would resemble Couples in one way or another. Actually, the closest tour player from the modern era that I think resembles the Easiest Swing is Anika Sorrenstam in that she has an easy flowing movement and she allows her head to move towards the target through impact. Generally though I would say that the Easiest Swing is most influenced or modeled around the players of old like Bobby Jones, Harry Vardon, Tommy Armour et al.

      We love the effortless, rhythmic and silky nature of Fred Couples swing. We think most golfers would like to achieve a resemblance of his swing and can certainly work towards it by adopting the ES principles.

    Hi Sean. I was told as a kid that to play any sport, watch the very best players. This is a great video to watch and learn from. However 6 months ago l sprained my ankle and broke a bone. I still play golf but l can't transfer my weight as you show here. Now l keep 90% of my weight on my front foot and leave it there. My trailing foot is 150mm behind my front foot so that as l swing back l get a better in to out swing. I notice you shift your weight forward as soon as you begin the forward swing. It's your forward swing that l will watch many times to drum it into my head. PS even without shifting my weight l still hit driver as far as l.used to. Up to 250 yards. I'm 76)

      Hi John, well if it works for you, great! I do have another siuggestion for you. Why not try standing with all the weight on the non target foot and then have something like 5% or 10% of the weight on the ball or toes of the forward foot. WOuld be keen to see you try it for fun and get back to me.

      Hi John, so pleased you enjoyed the video and find it helpful/inspiring. Séan has a wonderful Easiest Swing, worth watching before your next round. Keep up the great work (250 yards at 76 is FANTASTIC!)

    Th reason your swing works and promotes good distance. is that you get the club back to horizontal during the end of the backswing. All the other. things you talk about ( soft grip. raise the left heel, let your head move ect , ) allow this to happen if you are not other wise supple enough to complete the backswing to the horizontal finish of the backswing. If you focus on. this basic observation you will usually do these other things if needed to get the
    backswing completed.

      Thank you for your comment William. Easiest Swing's mission is to provide golfers with the easiest way to swing the golf club and to enjoy an easier way to play golf.

    Im not sure what golf club this is being filmed at but wherever it is, the acoustics must be incredible. Im sure a majority of people watching this video remember the crack of a true "wood." With the layout of this course, what appears to be cut straight out of a forest, the echo I would think will be quit load.

      This is filmed at the wonderful Northamptonshire County Golf Club - Open qualifying venue and English Top 100 golf course. We absolutely love filming here, the scenery, condition, layout and tree lined holes add to the spectacle that make this course so special. We highly recommend golfers get themselves a round here.

    As you approach impact, it seems that you are looking in front of the ball (not sure how far),,,, but not looking right at the ball. Letting your head flow forward with the release?

    • @Easiestswing
      @Easiestswing  Рік тому

      Well spotted Ken, there is no need to look at the ball and by moving the head forward through impact helps by encouraging great weight shift and turn through the ball.

    I am 75 years old..
    Playing Golf for over 10 years now..not going beyond 18 handicap. A few moths saw a video suggesting to keep over 70% of the weight on left foot with open stance through the swing ..did well for a while but lot of pain in left leg including ankle & foot ..wonder if its got to do something in change of address & swing. Waiting for foot to get better and than try your method. Hope it works for me!

      I’m certain that easiest swing will be the right thing for you. Look out for our next video where we coach a plus 1 golfer age about 30 but the topic is the same about keeping weight on the left side. You will be able to see the change for this player and he has subsequently told me he too was getting lower back pain that has now gone. Hope your recovery goes well

    Are you just turning or are you moving your hips forward like a traditional swing? I’ve watched it several times and appears to me you are thrusting your hips forward. Maybe it’s just the way I’m viewing it.

    • @nige99
      @nige99 2 роки тому +3

      Hes just dropping and slinging the club through I don't see any firing of the hips very nice I think

    • @kennethjonczak641
      @kennethjonczak641 2 роки тому +2

      I see that now.

    •  2 роки тому +3

      Hi Kenneth it is not a conscious decision to thrust the hips, it is just a forward motion towards the target. That is why at Easiest Swing we do not call it a downswing, we call it a forward swing.

    • @kennethjonczak641
      @kennethjonczak641 2 роки тому +2

      After watching it several times I see your turning motion moving forward. This a problem I often have. I make my backswing with a turn but often times I turn on downswing but don’t move my body forward often hitting fat.. Always enjoy your videos Sean!

    Isn’t the ball little bit forward than the position it supposed to be ?

    • @Easiestswing
      @Easiestswing  Рік тому +1

      Well spotted! It is actually mostly down to the camera angle, a mistake we made on some of our early videos - think we have learnt our lesson now. Thanks for questioning it though.

    To much head movement. Fat shots for most of us.
