Another great video Sean. You really are the Mr Miyagi of the golf world.... "Wax on wax off Daniel son". I'm still smiling when I recall your 'flow like water' video of many moons ago. Never mind golf practice I'm now off to light a Joss stick and fire up my pan pipe soundtrack. Great work as always
I am a recently (1.5 years) returned golfer at 80, having been away more than 50 years and have been enjoying all the Easiest Swing videos and the book, Positive Impact Golf. Trading contortion for rhythm and relaxation, my dispersion has greatly improved and I am beginning to see longer distance too. This video confirmed something I have been thinking about, since discovering you folks. La dans du golf should be the perfect technique for training a blind golfer. Have you had any experience with blind golfers? We have a friend who suddenly became blind at 42 and has wondered if she could possibly play the game. We found information about an organization of blind golfers, but I suspect your approach might be ideal for her.
Thanks for your message and it is wonderful to receive these success stories from all around the world. I love the phrase you use - "Trading contortion for rhythm and relaxation" - it may well be used as a strapline or heading in future ES material. Interesting you ask about Easiest Swing for blind golfers. As you may know from the Positive Impact Golf book, the first exercise we do for any new client, no matter their standard, is ask them to strike balls with their eyes closed. I have seen so many golfers' jaws drop to the floor when they have struck the ball like never before - more sweetly than when their eyes were open. The objective for this exercise, of course, is to challenge golfers who believe they need to keep their eyes glued to the ball when it is perfectly fine to have the ball in the periphery of your vision. We think Easiest Swing would be suited for blind golfers in that when the body is relaxed the brain is able to relax and there is less mental and physical interference. As internal communication between the two becomes more clear, the brain and body can work and coordinate together more naturally. The more we can allow the subconscious to do what it knows to do the better we will all play golf, whether we can see or not see. Golf is after all a FEEL game and with a nice loose grip, with awareness on the club in the hands, the golfer is able to swing freely with the understanding that the ball just gets in the way. Your fiend may be pleased to know there are plans to make an audio book of Positive Impact Golf in the near future. Would I be correct in assuming the organisation for blind golfers you are referring to is the blind golf society of which there are a few British and international societies and associations: www.internationalblindgolf.com/ Best of luck to your friend and I wish her well on her golfing journey.
To all the easy swing coaches I must thank you a big thanks to Mike deeley who I had a few lessons with and changed my mind about golf and gave me new ideas and thoughts about the game I think when I first met Mike I was 18.7 I now off 6.7 not bad for a 61 year old thank you all Stephen wellings
Thank you very much Stephen. Mike is a true gem and a vital part of the Easiest Swing family. It's fantastic to hear of your incredible progress! 6.7 at 61yrs is exceptional! Great work.
I just received my swing caddy last week and I had been able to get it click at the top speed of 110 mph. When I set it at 97 mph and higher, I have to activate more leg action…I’m 72 years old. Shawn Clement (Widom in Golf) uses the swing caddy and he even stated in one of his videos that you had to activate the legs to get this swing trainer to click, too.
there's a youtube channel "aussie golf pros" that advocates awfully similar techniques but quite of a lot of the stuff mentioned sounds quite dangerous compared to the tension free easiest swing system.... thanks for updating and allowing folks to hear it from the originals
It's great to hear there are other coaches out there discovering and sharing similar ideas to us. However, there is nothing quite like the original! Keep it relaxed and tension free for the most enjoyable way to play the game. Thank you for your support.
The Swing Caddy and Hole In One use a magnet to provide the adjustability of the resistance to the internal weight and spring mechanism. The magnet does not move or come into contact with the internal weight, which prevents early decay. We have many Hole In One’s and Swing Caddy’s in use that are 5+ years old and still working just as well as they did new. It is expected that a quality magnet should lose about 1% of its magnetism every decade under normal conditions.
Thank you 😀 We like to set it to around 110 -120. However it is great to play around with the settings and try very lazy swings on a low setting like 60.
Just recently found Brian’s and your videos, and thought this is the swing for me. I am trying out on the golf course and my game has improved, but, when I’m in the house practicing the swing, all is good, unfortunately when out on course I can’t seem to get to the finishing position. Obviously it’s with the ball being there and trying to get the shot, thoughts on how to get the finish ?
Excellent, we are very happy to have you aboard Sandra! We understand that this can be a challenge for a lot of golfers, however it sounds like you are nearly there! It can be difficult to do, but work on making the sole intention of your swing to achieve the finish position. Practice by starting in the finish position, hold it for 5-10 seconds looking at your target, then make your swing.
A weird experience when Brian Sparks suggested this in my first coaching session with him but the increase in confidence with my swing was immediate and amazing.
Thanks for your comment David. We agree, it is an amazing exercise that can make you question everything you thought you 'must' do to make a good golf swing. It releases you from constraints and frees you to developing your Easiest Swing.
We advocate that the heel should be allowed to lift in response to the swing motion, never forced or done with intention. Most importantly, the heel should not be fixed to the ground intentionally as this will result in tension. Séan makes half a dozen or more swings in this demonstration and his heel comes off the ground in response to the swing motion every time. Perhaps this helps to clarify one of our three deadly don'ts.
The unfortunate thing is that that overpriced swing trainer is just that..overpriced. I am sure that it would be of some help to me if I had one but not at that cost. I have followed Brian’s techniques and lessons along with his book and occasionally revisit his teachings from season to season. I also follow his student, Julian Mellor as he carries on with Brian’s methods.
We are sorry you feel this way Richard. The Swing Caddy is an investment, but it is also the best product that we tested in terms of quality, reliability and the benefits it offers to a golf swing. We highly recommend them, all use them on a daily basis and feel they are 100% worth the initial outlay. We are really pleased you still follow Easiest Swing and the wisdom shared by Brian, we really hope you are finding great success with your swing and enjoying an easier way to play the game.

Here are the 2 Rules of Easiest Swing. Rule Number 1: ‘Golf for enjoyment only.’ Rule Number 2: ‘First learn rule number 1.

Loved the video and I am interested in the Swing Caddy. How long would the magnets retain their resistance level ?

Excellent. Thanks. Sean.
My pleasure James, I'm really pleased you enjoyed it. I also have a write up on the ESClub, which goes into more detail available for you to read.
I have difficulty pausing at the top of backswing as you do. Great video Sean.
You can do it!
I love your instruction! What do you set your swing caddie to?

Wow sir very Nice🔥

But you didn't lift your heal, like you told us was the most important part of the golf swing!
