    Very good! Makes me want to get back in the habit of 3D tetris, I've been kinda lazy recently. XD

      You should indeed, quite beneficial for us crammers, get some prefabs and you can make your doom crams for cheap ^^

    Just what I needed

    I was looking for a vid on this, great stuff

    I just tried to build a doom frag.
    Result turret is 17x17 and tetris is 24 blocks high. The gun has 720 firepower and costs 205000 materials. So the material per firepower is at 285.
    Just so you know if done big enough you can go below 290 mats/firepower.

    Example isn't perfect since 7x7 isn't a great size for a cram cannons, I'd have like to seen a 5x5 or 9x9 as an example since they have significantly better efficiency with pellets.(more 6 connection pellets).

      @GMODISM  Рік тому +5

      Fair point, 7x7 is however a good size to have for medium vessels and I think the point and processes are however the same, but yes, 9D crams are my favorite I think, built one in the last stream that was really successful at it's job for the cost :)

    im new to from the depths, how would i then make this triple barrelled, when i try to add more firing pieces it says no pellets connected to packers available

      If you are new you should probably watch my more basic tutorials first, 3d tetris is kinda advanced if you don't know the basics ;)

      @@GMODISMHey, a bit late here :/ I'm a bit more confirmed player (only 250h) and I'm asking myself the same question as @samcocker365; Am I obliged to use advanced cannons for multiple barrels or can I use CRAM's?

    2x2 - 7"/28 CRAM Cannons

    To get more efficient with gauge increasers, use a smaller turret (three by three instead of a five by five) and put gauge increasers around the turret block itself since the Tetris won’t be useful down there. It is also a good place for the weapon controller.

      @GMODISM  Рік тому

      I got some small 3x3 ones too, but cram is not that efficient in such small turrets. I do tend to put mine on top on tiny turrets for aesthetical reasons though

    • @justgoodvibes1500
      @justgoodvibes1500 Рік тому

      @@GMODISM What I meant was make the turret block smaller but keep your current turret size. Ex: have a 6 block wide turret with a 3 by 3 one axis turret block instead of a five by five one. However, I have never thought of using gauge increasers decoratively…

      @@GMODISM Also, thank you for the tutorial. I learned how to build cram cannons and I have to say, it is less math intensive than building a advanced cannon. You also clarified some of the mechanics which made my life a lot easier. Thank you.

      @@GMODISM 10:30 the packer here will not be connected to anything...
      is it true that the compactor takes max 3 connections to packers???
      I heard it somewhere but didn't find anything written about that!

    • @GMODISM
      @GMODISM  11 місяців тому +1

      @@rstoeckler the packer will be connected, not sure what you mean? Packers can have 6 connections too, just try it and you'll see, but they are not so expensive that they must, for multiple reasons pellest should get the best spots, compactors as much as possible but more than 2 connections is good enough I say

    why is tetris important?, cant you just stack the same layer again and again?

    • @GMODISM
      @GMODISM  7 місяців тому +1

      You describe 2d tetris and that works too, however 3d tetris is more efficient per materials spent and is advisable for medium to advanced players, but if you haven't played 100 hours you can probably come back later :)
