Best wishes to you both, get well, speedy recovery. My partner is unwell and she always says she knows her body best, such good advice. I have been a career for many years now and totally appreciate what you are going through. You are working together as a team and that will get you through.

Thank you. It’s definitely easier for us to work on this together rather than against each other. Ed knows his body best. 😊

It’s amazing that it has been a walk already! But it certainly wasn’t an easy one.

Thank you. I think we are both shocked with this recovery. It’s better and worse than we had anticipated in a variety of ways. But Ed is doing a terrific job pushing forward!

Thanks Dawn! Ed is recovering well, but every day still comes with new challenges and restrictions. Even as his health gets better, managing our daily lives remain challenging.

So glad you BOTH are doing so well. I know everyday has its struggles, but you BOTH are handling them all so well. I completely agree with your opinions about our healthcare system. I’ve worked on the billing, coding and prior authorization side of it all and that is the most broken side of it all. You have non-healthcare executives writing policies that know nothing about what a person needs or should have when it come to life threatening and changing diagnoses. It infuriates me when I call for prior authorizations for teats and procedures and the insurance company denies it for some of the stupidest reasons. I have literally told the “so-called” doctors with these companies that I don’t see how they sleep at night knowing the amount of blood they carry on their hands for blocking much needed treatment for their insured patients. It probably doesn’t bother them, but it bothers me so very much. Because as a healthcare worker, I have compassion for my patients. Definitely something our insurance companies know nothing about. Keep on healing and getting stronger as the days go forth. I’m rooting for you both and want you both to be back to 100% in the very near future 👍👍

This is literally what Jason did in his prior life too! We aren’t sure where they find the soulless people to deny authorizations. We remain hopeful that this can move forward into something better... one day.

Glad you are progressing so well. Keep trying to find the positive in everyday. Having been through chemo and radiation remember everyone goes through this in their own way. Try not to read too much and get scared by the terrible stories. Hope for the best and find some positive events to focus on during radiation to distract yourself and think about all the fun things you will do when this is all over.😁❤️

Thank you, Lana. We are certainly focusing on the good. As you mentioned, everyone’s journey is unique. And we need to remember that always... what was easy for one person might not be the easiest for another. 😊
