What's up R/T..sorry for the delay...no I haven't got the tips yet, I just got the valance two days ago.
But I problably going to the same shop where I get the super 44 installed
They have some tips..hopefully the have something similar as your I just like a little of gloss on it..but since I finally got some time off I will taking care of the valance.
What about the drone at 1900/2000 ish RPM’s ?

Hey wassup R/T Life. I want to say THANK YOU. I dropped my 21 Scat off this morning to my local American Muffler to have two Carven R series 3in mufflers and a Mfer1 Extreme installed. I asked them to pull the exhaust back as far as possible, as I retained my factory resonators and exhaust tips (for now). They were able to bring the factory tips out approximately 1.5in beyond my after!market diffuser. I just took a ride to the pencil at Jones Beach and back and have ZERO drone. The car has a crazy, deep full body sound now thanks to the Carvens and no drone, thanks to you. I appreciate your informative videos.
I love those tires. The poke out gives the car that pit bull aggression and the tips set it off right. 💯
I was raised around loud motorcycles and hot rods. The drone never fazed me. It's part of what loud and fast is.

Same, here. I ride my motorcycle here in PHX an hour to work both ways. I don't think the drone in my head ever stop!
HI Heith. I think a drone in the exhaust, while loud, has nothing to do with "fast" or horsepower. It means that the frequency of the exhaust pulses is at the resonant frequency of the exhaust system. When this kind of oscillation is happening, it means your exhaust system is not as effective in keeping the flow and velocity of the exhaust gasses going in one direction. The resonant frequency of the exhaust system is constantly changing because it depends on the speed of sound, and the speed of sound varies with the temperature, density, and pressure.

You're dead on. When I had my mufflers deleted the guy that did it moved my stock tips outward and wow the difference it made! Love your setup bro sounds so dang good! Cars at the end were beautiful!

The valance ant exhaust tip swap alone looks so much better than the stock rectangle tips. I just bought a 2014 Dodge Charger 5.7L Persuit Package and this car is phuking sweet. Ive been watching various videos for ideas on what I want from the exhaust and this is so far the best sound ive come across.

Just adding the tips, eliminated the drone ?
Wow that surprises me and wouldn't think it would make that much difference, since they aren't really part of the exhaust system. It doesn't bother me that much, but I get alot of it with the pipes on my Challenger and are the SLP loudmouth cat back 1s. Which eliminates the resos and basically consists of 3" pipe with 2 open chamber racing bullets, and sound great together with the 6.1. Alot of people say that they are among the worst for drone, but it can be eliminated by just changing up the RPMs a little. The pipes are tolerable when you keep your foot out of it, but rocks and rolls when you punch it 👍🏼
It was a freak accident. When I did the exhaust upgrade the drone on the car was soooooo annoying on the HWY. After this upgrade 90% less drone. The tips are projecting the sound waves past the back bumper now.
Yeah I've never heard of that before and really surprises me. Have been thinking about replacing the stock shop-vac style ones on my challenger and was looking at some quads for it, but haven't decided which ones to go with yet

The rear end looks good... Blue’s haha! I knew the 5” tips were going to complete it. Just keep an eye on the valence that with the heat from the exhaust that it doesn’t melt it.

I’m glad I found this. Oddly after a couple thousand miles at exactly 2,000 RPM it would drone at times and other times it wouldn’t.
I was so happy this upgrade got rid of the drone - it used to drive me nuts.

Just finished my rear valance conversion. Went with 4’ black tips and looks much better than blacked out fake tips.
And your right... drone is gone! But can still hear exhaust note inside which I want to hear!

I actually just got a solo performance catback a Couple weeks ago. And just swapped out the fake tips for the police valence and real tips on Saturday. And yep, the cabin noise dropped about 80% immediately. Funny how this video appears in my feed today, that timing lol

When I got to the end of the last video that engine startup caught my ears. Much less refined sleeper sound, although it was impressive in its ability to drown out the Red Charger. Still more growl is more gooderer.

Yea I just got my exhaust done and the drone is crazyyyy between 1k and 1k5rpm. I got v6 but it sounds pretty good in my opinion, same stock exhaust as yours, the rectangle tip. Do you think my v6 can get rid of the drone by follow your setup? Please answer

Looks awesome!! I want to cut the fake tips out of my V6 200C and put a pair of dual 3" tips on it.
Don't worry about the tires, they look nice and meaty. You are running what they call a square setup with a slight poke......lots of people do it and it looks dope....not too much just right.

Thanks for the videot, on my sxt I did a mid swap with dual magnaflow and straight pipe out the back. The drone was terrible so I decided to apply killmat in the cabin and in the trunk but still nothing helped. Hopefully this new trick will help me out when i make my next upgrade on the exhaust.
This should 100% help - get long exhaust tips & make sure they extend out. Project those sound waves out! Thank you for watching & supporting the channel

Hey man I am wondering. If I am aiming for an exhaust setup with no drone should I just get a full exhaust system and do the exhaust tips or you know an exhaust system that has no drone and ofc i’d also add exhaust tips if necessary?

Hey Bud, I periodically follow your videos, I have 2 questions for you;
1- now that you have moved on with the x-mod exhaust do you like your earlier setup with 3” magnaflow competition series or the x-mod setup?
2- do you have or are you selling your competition series setup? I loved that sound!
I loved the competition series, had a nice deep tone to it - but the Xmod is amazing. Very happy I gave this a try. In regards to the old setup - I was thinking of doing a giveaway or something. Local pick up though

I have a similar exhaust, flow masters with 4" resonator tips that stick out about the length of yours, I still have drone... maybe the flow masters?

Looks great, I did the same mod last week I went with 4.5" tips it got rid of the drone. It feels like my takeoff is sluggish now any thoughts on this ? Or is it in my head ?
It's likely because it got quieter - you didn't lose any HP/Performance adding tips.

Just started following i bought those tips.I have a couple questions what are you tire size or which ones do you have? I have a v6 looking to add flowmaster a should I ad two super 10 to the mid mufflers and delete the resonators?
yes - add the 10's with no resonators. Otherwise there will not be much sound difference

Hey the rear valance pursuit u used for ur R/T u think it will work for my 2013 Charger RT even tho it’s not same body style cuz it’s been hard to find one
The body styles are different - I doubt it. you should have other options though that I don't

At 1st I was thinking man, they might be to big.... After a while though, I love it. Looks so damn mean & the exhaust note is perfect!
I'll have to look tomorrow, but I dont think that I can do it this way on the 300. I was thinking about taking out the wide mouth and doing a double tip on each side. With the double though, I dont believe that it will sound the same, and I really like the sound!

@@RTLife that's how I want my challenger to have its stance. Even with the fender flares. Want to see if I can run a "0" offset (or as close as possible without rubbing) all around 20x10 and 20x12. Nascar keeps their wheels at 15x10/0-offset. If I have to cut a lil and roll the fenders under the fender flares won't bother me because no on will see it.
Makes it look like a wide body. Im glad i got fat tires on my 300c which looks like a widebody aready

I installed magna flow 15628 on my 300c but there is drone on 2000 rpm , any solution that can i do?

I wanna know if they have this rear valance for the Challenger too? I don't like the rectangle trips on mine. Just want regular round echo chamber tips. Yours sounds so good! 5" is a little big for me, I'll go 4".
I think all challenger valances are oval looking - not circle for something like this. I'm sure there is an aftermarket one though.
I want to go with 4 inch angle cut inch long.

When i had mine like that it does make it have less drone but if you put it flush it will make drone inside the car and the tip does make the sound change. The small pipe makes a higher pitch and with the exhaust tips the tome id deeper and also the thickness of the tip will play a roll on how much the tone changes i out mine flush but im gonna but them out again i tired of the cab drone
Bought 4.5” Corsa tips for mine, made a big difference in tone
I got the Corsa Sport 3.5" twins and same exact thing. It was so quiet until i stood right behind it. Pretty sure any aftermarket exhaust tip will have the same effect
yah they def make the exhaust more refined - I notice it more during accelerations
@@RTLife Makes me think the engineers that designed the stock exhaust made it have "fake" drone because its supposed to be a muscle car
heritag7 I have slp loudmouth 1 and I’m getting long tubes but I’m seriously worried about drone. The drone I have now is good I like it , but I don’t want more, and if all I do is get some tips It won’t drone but it’ll still sound loud af from the outside?
i added tips & it added a buzzing sound at a certain rpm i have a mid & res delete any tips

yah this was def a nice upgrade - I should have done this a long time ago.
I just had the resonators deleted on 14 rt blacktop and the drone was horrible! So I ordered some dual tips hoping that fixes the problem.

Sounds good! I might go a little more flush i still have 2.5”to 4.5” that i never used on my last charger. With the pursuit valance was that all that was needed besides the tips?
That was it - just a couple of tips & Plastic Rivets
R/T Life sounds good i already have resonators deleted. Now i want to replace the mids with either dynomax bullet mufflers or vibrant 1792 on my 15 road and track

R/T. Sup bro. I see those tips are 12 long. I just got some that are only 6 long and 4 inch OD. Do you think I should have went with longer tip? Will it look weird ? I have an 18 r/t so the active exhaust. May fit diff

Thank you very much - These tips killed off the drone big time. They're 5" & project the sound waves far away from the charger. Look at how far they stick out. It used to bother me so much (drone).

Trying to figure if hellcat resonators and mufflers would sound okay on a preeagle without upgrading to srt manifolds or jba shorties. Eventhough I'm trying to get an affordable srt I wanna hook up the c.
Other setup is that flowmaster outlaw.
Love it! looks awesome and sinister. love the 315's too on the back. If people gave you shit for the 315's they probably have the stock size on which looks way too small for these cars.

I have a 2021 genesis g70 3.3t sport. I just got a custom exhaust for it but no tips and the drone is just not bearable specially on the highway. The setup for the exhaust tips are kind of like the charger the exhaust ends before the bumper. I called in multiple shops and they are all saying adding tips wont help. So i am just confused about should i add tips or not.
Adds tips that extend past the bumper & it will help significantly. Don’t listen to them
