- In this video, we cover one of the first major glitches in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. By jumping backwards at the slope, you can climb up ones you weren't supposed to. This allows us to access new parts of the world early or skip parts of the story. Enjoy!

can confirm this still works on the newest patch (1.1.0) AND is still possible after unlocking glide.
Don't mash the B-Button, just press it as soon as you land back on the ground, and point the control stick towards the hill

Just with the exception of speed building. That's if someone's gonna mod the game with the BLJ speed building in it

@@IvanFranco120 no fall damage, no damage can be done to the player, all that happens is a slower landing animation, w/o legendary you get "caught by the rotom phone" and w/ legendary you just have a recovery animation as korraidon/miraidon's legs get over the pain of landing after jumping off a mountain

I've done this by accident b4 but not on purpose, I did realize the backwards jump had weird physics and have been doin' it a bunch for weird fun

I used this glitch to somehow get myself into the giant crater, of course it wouldn’t let me in early but I did get a magnezone that was 18 levels above my current highest so I did at least get something out of it
I just found that 2 nights ago on my own. I have been seeing where I can go without progressing the story. It is a really fun glitch. There are also a small rivers that you can jump across that you suppose to swim across. I am sure that there was a bridge much farther down the path but I was too lazy to look and thought it was much more fun to see if I can get across by jumping.
I did this for laughs in my Pokémon scarlet game and didn’t know it could be used in this way. Very helpful.

Did they ever patch this? Got a refund after unlocking gliding back in December cuz it made doing BLJ’s very hard, and I kinda want to get the game again but not sure if this still works.
I only looked this up just to see if someone else has found it. It appears they had.
Does this only work with Miraidon? If so, that makes more since since because I’ve tried with Koraidon and every time I try to move backwards they just face to the front.

Heh found this yesterday and got a full 25+ team before the bug lady lol the damn Rookidee wouldn't listen
i got myself a single level 40 gible before i even fought my third gym leader.
side note, i thought iono would be higher on the difficulty scale so i literally fought kofu, larry and grusha before her and now i wish they just told you what level cap the gym leaders grant you when you win against them instead of a very vague difficulty scale implication.
These devs were given zero time to work, huh.
Backwards high jump
am stuck on the side of a cliff beside the water but my ride pokemon hast unlocked any abilities so basically am stuck
If anything, it's more like the slope climb from Super Mario Galaxy
I wish I knew how to mod switch games. My favorite pokemon was left out of the game. Again. 😭😭

I just got scarlet yesterday and I’m literally crying bc I wanted soooo bad and now I got stuck and this doesn’t work where I got stuck at so…..😭

even if unintentonally,of all games the blj can be in,gamefreak added a blj to a fucking pokemon game,if they dont ever patch this,it probably would be intentional or they just dunno how to fix the glitch
i find it weird nintendo has never refrenced the blj even once in any game,i mean there could have been a secret area in odyssey where you could blj in peaches castle,it could fit there as a refrence to the most famous videogame glitch ever,but i guess they dont lime glitches so eh
