I actually love this concert (and of course this song) David plays my favorite live version of Comfortably Numb at this show. I know you recently reacted to the Pulse version, which is more popular, but the song (especially the second guitar solo) varies in different performances, so it’s worth watching different shows.
And yes, it is from The Wall

Yes this track is part of the movie. There isn't much dialogue in the movie. The story is told by the music. That's why it's recommended when you listen to the Wall(album) You listen from start to finish in it's entirety. Enjoy😊
When you get a chance, do the same song at the polls concert, but I take nothing away from David in this concert. He was 70 years old.😂❤

@@SaeedReacts. He's touring again this fall, has a new album, he's 78. It'll be a world wide tour, so if you're in the UK or Europe...you'll have a chance to see one. The tickets always sell out within a day.
Not Pink Floyd! This is just David Gilmour with his small band of extras. You need to see the version from The Division Bell Pulse concert!
The reason this was so many Euros or dollars is because this is only the second time in the history of Earth that a group or a musical group was allowed to put on a concert in the ruins of Pompeii in that ancient amphitheater! The first time was Pink Floyd live in Pompeii 1971 where they perform Echoes live! So these tickets are more rare than a red diamond!!
One last comment regarding the keyboardist here, his name is Greg phillinganes. He played with and was a producer with Michael Jackson and during an interview he said I have been with some pretty large groups with incredible shows including Michael Jackson but David Gilmour and the Pink Floyd group is at a whole other level!! That kind of made my jaw drop a little because Michael Jackson was no second class entertainer!!

I visited Pompeii 2015 Dec. When I was there the amphitheater was closed to the public ...
Still was nice to be there and wander in a not so busy season ... right when they opened ...
The Pink Floyd 1971 foray was technically a performance, not a concert, as there was no audience. A concert is a public performance, if there is no audience then it is private, not public. Parametres of definition are important, otherwise you could play some music by yourself in your house and call it a concert. This 2016 event was the first performance for an audience in the amphitheatre for over 1,800 years. Also, red diamonds are rarer than those concert tickets. Less than 20 pure red diamonds were available on the market between 1957 and 2017.

It was a great honour for David Gilmour to give a concert for the audience here. In fact, only four artists have ever performed in this ancient amphitheatre. Frank Sinatra (recording without an audience), Pink Floyd in 1972 (without an audience - Pink Floyd live at Pompeii), then David Gilmour returned there in 2016 with three concerts (!) and two years later King Crimson performed one concert there.
I think you should also see the most famous song from this amphitheatre - Pink Floyd Echoes (part 1 and part 2). It's a famous piece of music and the atmosphere of this mysterious place is electrifying.

I saw PF 3 times live in the late 70's early 80's and they put on the greatest concerts I've ever witnessed and I've been to maybe 100 concerts, all the greats!
This is not Pink Floyd, but David Gilmour solo. Wonderful in its own right, but you might also want to see the Pulse-version of Floyd 1994.
Pulse version is better.......!!!!

As part of Pink Floyd and also as a solo act, he is hands down my favorite artist. For his voice and songwriting as well as his guitar. I hope he lives to be 100.
For many years one of the major TV networks here in Australia used the riff from this song as the intro to their sports broadcasts. There were 3,000 at this concert.

When you react to Pink Floyd use the Pulse concert’94. By far the best concert!!!!!!!
No seating allowed. Song from the"Wall" Only 5 songs allowed to be played as Roger got all the rights to the "Wall' when he left in 1984'. Same concert: Dave's solo "5 AM." "In Any Tongue' *** " The Blue" P.F.s songs "Sorrow" Comfortably Numb" for the last time. Dave sold 121 of his guitars shorty after this for $21 million including "The Black Strat" ( with he use in 1972 Echoes there) without his Jimi Hendrix XXX guitar strap. Jimi wire it in July 4, 1970 when the played "The National Anthem> Dave at Gdansk in 2008 "on an Island" "take a Breath" " Great Day for Freedom" ,*** Last time playing " Echoes" epic ********

I was enjoying your reaction and excitement! I attended the "Pulse" concert in Vancouver Canada in 1994 and it was by far the best concert I have ever attended. I don't think there is a better assembly of their music than the "Pulse Concert" IMO.

There’s a whole story to be told about the pyrotechnics at this amphitheater in Pompeii. I’m not sure if there has been any other rock concerts at this place, apart from Pink Floyd in 1971 with no audience, and then this one. The authorities denied the request for those fireworks and he only got permission right before the show

You need to see the movie a pink FloydThe Wall we saw it at the midnight movie at our Movie Theater so watch it with your headphones and it will blow your mind.

You must watch Roger Waters the wall concert he was in Pink Floyd in the beginning. Look up David Gilmour and his Daughter Romany video's the songs were written by her. Headphones are great for all. Look up Genesis at Wembley stadium that rocked out to saw that tour to well I hope that I gave you some band's oh and Led Zeppelin The song Reminds the Same Definitely use Headphones on Zeppelin.
