The Pulse version of Comfortably Numb is probably the best and most watched. They’re all good though. Pink Floyd began their very long and very successful musical journey in 1965. Look at their pictures from back then. They’re one of the all time greatest bands.
David Gilmour is the guitarist from pink flloyd. This song "comfortably numb" is from "The Wall" album. It is a concept album that tells the story about a fictional rock star named Pink who has built a wall around himself to isolate himself from human emotions. In this song Pink has become physically and emotionally ill before a concert. The doctor comes in and gives him a shot which makes Pink become comfortably numb so he can go onstage for the show. I don't think it's so much about his guitar playing as the whole package, his writing skills/compositions, the atmosphere, the Pink Floyd stage sets, the synergy between the friends having played together for decades, their individual contributions to the music, it all comes together at the Pulse concert. Worth watching from start to finish.

BP This is actually 1st time that live event with an audience at the ancient coliseum in Pompeii since 79AD, 1,937 years ago. David's other band, Pink Floyd played there back in 1971 for the song, Echoes Part I&II.
@jim1125-cv6yg - they only played half of Meddle. One Of These Days, Echoes, and Seamus are the songs they played. A Pillow Of Winds, Fearless, and San Tropez are the songs they didn't. They did however also play Set the Controls For the Heart Of the Sun, A Saucerful Of Secrets (both from the album A Saucerful Of Secrets), and Careful With That Axe Eugene, a non-album single.
@@ianfortier6796 P.F played echoes, careful with the axe ,eugene: a saucerful of secrets: one of these days I'm going to cut you in little pieces; set the controls for the heart of the sun and Mademoiselle. this is on a video that I have in front of me
@jim1125-cv6yg That's the set list I wrote down in my last comment. Mademoiselle Nobs was Seamus, just with a different title. Of those songs you posted, Echoes, One Of These Days, and Mademoiselle Nobs (Seamus), are the only ones from Meddle that they played. I'm just clarifying for the reactor that Careful, A Saucerful, and Set the Controls was music not released on the album Meddle. Set the Controls and A Saucerful came out on A Saucerful Of Secrets in 1968, Careful With That Axe Eugen was a non-album single released in 1968. Meddle was released in 1971.
If I’m honest, Mark Knopfler is my favourite simply because I discovered him first, and I have seen Dire Straits live. But Dave Gilmour is up there, I really wish I got to see Pink Floyd live.

Its about a guy who ODs right before a performance and the doctor is trying to get him to be able to perform for the audience... comfortably numb...he can't feel a thing. He can't hear what the doctor is saying, but can see his lips moving. Truly one of the greatest songs ever made.
Every version of Comfortably Numb has its high points - you cant go wrong with any of them...The Pulse version is a tick higher in my book just for the wailing bit done by Dave which isnt done on the live versions afterwards...but the fact this version was done in Pompeii and has many good hooks as well and is in High Def (not video like Pulse was recorded in) gives this version a good boost......

"When I was a child, I caught a fleeting glimpse, out of the corner of my eye. I cannot put my finger on it now, the child has grown, the dream is gone..." Have you ever every had a split second memory from your childhood? It comes and goes so fast that you can't quite grasp it, but it's there, and it's real. Those fleeting glimpses tend to fade as one grows older but they remain an integral part of who we are...
Pink Floyd played 14 shows at Earl's court in London from 13th oct 1994 to 29th oct and sold out 273,474 tickets and this was at the end of a tour that played to 5.5 million people in 68 cities; each concert gathered an average audience of 45,000. Shine on you crazy diamond is the greatest tribute song for a friend you'll ever hear.
David Gilmour was 70 at this concert. they came out in late 60s and were killing the 70s with many albums. greatest band ever in my opinion. I have seen them live and an amazing experience like no other
Comfortably Numb is from Pink Floyds 11th album "The Wall", released in 1979. Pink Floyd is one the greatest bands of all time. The performance you watched was awesome, but 1994's PULSE tour performance is absolutely amazing. This band has been releasing music since 1967 (The Piper at the Gates Of Dawn), with their final album dropping in 2015. One song you might know, "MONEY", from 1973's DARKSIDE OF THE MOON, considered by many to be one of the greatest albums of all time.
My absolute favorite band of all time. I can't count how many times i saw this band in concert. Thank you for checking them out. I hope you enjoy Pink Floyd.
Dressed in an old black T shirt, jeans, scruffy beard and looks like some regular Joe... he plugs his guitar into his soul, and takes you away on a journey that you will never forget. Watch the Pulse 1994 version - the crowd is still, in total awe, locked as one while their souls fly away until he brings them home, many with tears on their face. This song has meant a lot to me since I first heard it in 1977 when The Wall came out. It is one of the few things that came bring me back from the pits of despair and give me hope, to keep on living when all I have wanted to do is give up. I am 58 years old and my kids love this song to. There are a lot of people who acknowledge that this song has saved them - and I am one of them.
You're so lucky man to discover just by accident David, Comfortably Numb, the meaning of that song, one of the best guitar solos ever and Pink Floyed ALL AT ONCE! I envy you :)
Yo BP!! Man I am beyond excited for you discovering David Gilmour (my favorite guitarist) and so ecstatic for you to react to Pink Floyd (in my top 3 bands). They have so many incredible songs. Some albums though you just have to experience the whole thing in one sitting, like The Wall, or Dark Side of the Moon or Division Bell. Also there’s a film for The Wall and it’s so sick!! Definitely recommend seeing that one. Great react!! Let’s gooooo!!
That list you were given was the names of the lead guitarists for different bands. David Gilmour was lead guitarist and a singer for Pink Floyd, Mark Knopler was lead guitarist and singer for Dire Straits, Eddie Van Halen was lead guitarist for Van Halen, and, of course, SRV was lead singer and guitarist for Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble. "Comfortably Numb" was released in 1980 by Pink Floyd from the album "The Wall".
Pulse concert remastered version is phenomenal, David Gilmore is the guitar God, you really need to listen and watch Pulse concert, Comfortably Numb anything from that concert will blow you away, away, when I saw you did this one, I was so disappointed
In 1973 Gilmour and his bandmembers wrote the most influential album of all time (alongside the Beatles´Sgt. Pepper album), THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON. On Wikipedia´s list of bestselling albums of all time it lists #4. "The Dark Side of the Moon" held the record for the longest time on the Billboard 200 chart in history, with over 950 weeks landed. It reached Number 1 on the Billboard 200 on April 28, 1973, one month after its release. "The Dark Side of the Moon" made a re-entry in the Billboard 200 charts as late as 2020.
David Gilmour is one of Eddie Van Halen's inspirations. I remember in one of Eddie's rare interviews back in the day (I think it was Guitar Player magazine) while he was sitting with the interviewer and talking about influences Eddie mentioned Gilmour and said he loved his playing that "it's so tasty". In that same interview he also mentioned Eric Clapton as a huge influence as well. As a couple have mentioned below, the 1994 Pulse concert is epic and a much better version solo-wise.
You have to watch The Wall. It's a masterpiece. It's a shame that David Gilmour and Roger Waters, main forces in the group Pink Floyd, had a falling out, understatement, and will not perform together anymore. They made a lot of really good music together for a lot of years. Pink Floyd is another rabbit hole worth diving into.
David Gilmour is from Pink Floyd, the Guitarist and main music writer for them, this is a song from the Pink Floyd album The Wall, if i know one thing from the comments on other videos of people who react to this song, there will be a lot of people giving a lot of misinformation about the song and probably the album as a whole.
well... Although Waters is no longer part of the band it is an undeniable fact that he is the writer behind their biggest sucesses as a whole... Especially when you mention the wall I feel like clarifying that Roger Waters wrote and composed that entire album... It was actually one of the reasons why they ended up splitting up; Because Waters was doing his own thing and kinda blackmailed the band into doing his will... Before they recorded the wall album Waters had shown up to a band meeting with two fully written albums; The Wall and The Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking. He asked the band witch they wanted to do as Pink Floyd because he would then record the other as a solo project. Thats when the others started feeling like being a band for hire who didn't get any artistic influence any longer. Pink floyd has 4 general eras in their past: The first years and albums were experimentally playfull pop fuelled by Syd Barrets madcap mind and lyrics. The second was the psychedelic experimental phase where all the banndmembers basicly improvised their way through sound and space.... Third period was Roger Waters evolution as a concept album writer and political artist. The third and last period was the one where Gilmour took over as witer, in close collab with Wright and Mason had their older, softer and more philosophical period...
@@JokerInk-CustomBuilds And you’re writing this here why? I didn’t say anything about Roger Waters, lol, what you have done is just get triggered because I didn’t mention Roger Waters in a comment about David Gilmour on a video about David Gilmour where BP asked who he was. I know who Roger Waters is, lol, but this isn’t about him, I am sorry that for some strange reason you can’t handle that I dare mention David Gilmour and Pink Floyd without mentioning Roger Waters, you sound like an obsessed Stan of Roger Waters. Thats why I felt like I would clarify your own misunderstanding/bad formulation wich in turn was why I mentioned Roger Waters, since he is the actual writer of The Wall... And yes. you are right: I found it weird talking about gilmores writing when also, in same sentence, using The Wall as example of their music... You were the one who mentionned ppl getting things wrong. So don't get uptight when I point out that you got something wrong. -Or atleast worded it very poorly... I am not a Waters Stan. I like most of pink floyds music from start to present. In fact I idolize very few individuals as we all are flawed humans to some degreee. And I actually think that waters AND Gilmore are better together than they are individually... But thats another talk. Have a good day out there. Chillax a bit. I wasn't gunning for you. @@JokerInk-CustomBuilds Gilmour does write the music, Waters writes the lyrics and I said Gilmour wrote most the music, I didn’t say all the music and I didn’t say he wrote the songs, I didn’t say he wrote all the songs, I didn’t say he wrote none of the songs, I didn’t say he didn’t write any of the music, so no, I didn’t say anything that wasn’t true and if you misunderstood what I said, that’s your problem, what I wrote was not rocket science, I am sure most people can understand it, don’t project your inability onto others, but I guess that’s what happens when Stans get triggered because you don’t bang on about their obsession in a comment section of a video that has nothing to do with their obsession, they have to try and find a way to divert the conversation to be about them. What is it with the Roger Waters Stans that they get so triggered over David Gilmour or anything Pink Floyd without Roger Waters in it, get over it already, he left Pink Floyd nearly 40 years ago now, move on, seriously, it’s pathetic, if that’s who you choose to Stan over, good for you but go do it in the comments section of video about him or start your own comment thread about him, I ain’t here to talk about him, I was talking about David Gilmour, that is what BP asked, he asked about David Gilmour
Quite awhile ago I saw an interview with David's wife who was saying that he struggled to show emotion but after hearing him play she knew just what to say.
David Gilmore is the lead guitarist for Pink Floyd! Another band with an awesome guitarist is Dire Straits! Mark Knopfler is in my top 3 favorite guitar players!! Check out Sultains of swing! U won't be disappointed!!
Yes, as others have noted, David Gilmour is a legend, and began his career with Pink Floyd, without a doubt, one of the greatest bands of all time. The 1994 Pulse concert version of "Comfortably Numb" is regarded as the best version of the best guitar solo. The song was originally released in around 1978 as part of "the Wall" album, which is legendary. All the Pink Floyd albums from Meddle, Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, The Wall, Animals and Division Bell are masterpieces as are the Pompeii and Pulse concerts.
To me, at 54, feeling old, this song exudes not giving a F anymore what anyone ever thinks of me. What a gorgeous song...I never really understood until this point in my life.
Pink Floyd. Pulse concert 1994. Same David Gilmour - Lead guitarist for Pink Floyd and cowriter of the song Comfortably Numb. Epic among the Epic musical things in this life.
My brother, I have been blessed enough to see David and PINK FLOYD on the last 2 American tours. 87 and 94. Still, to this day, the top shows on list of over 100 live shows in my days. Unfuckingbelievable live. Go down that rabbit hole. You WILL NOT be disappointed. Much love from Northern Kentucky ❤

Thanks for reacting to one of my favorite artists! I was fortunate to see David Gilmour on this tour when it came through Chicago in 2016. I had only become a fan of Pink Floyd the year before, and he was my favorite (I love guitar players!), so I was thrilled when I found out he was touring his solo album from 2015 (Rattle That Lock). Of course, he played a lot of Pink Floyd classics (like 'Comfortably Numb'), as well. Light shows were also a big part of Pink Floyd's stage show, which David Gilmour carried over into his solo tours. He was 70 years old in 2016, so he still sounded amazing! David Gilmour is known for his emotional, soulful solos. He isn't flashy. His haunting vocals are also a big part of the Pink Floyd sound. David joined Pink Floyd in 1968. After the band's lyricist and bass player, Roger Waters, left the band in 1985, David Gilmour became the leader of Pink Floyd for the rest of the 1980s and beyond. Probably the best Pink Floyd concert video is from 1994; it's called Pulse. I suggest reacting to the song 'Sorrow' from the Pulse concert. In the Pulse shows, there are also two other original members of Pink Floyd: Drummer Nick Mason and keyboard player Richard Wright. Sadly, Richard Wright died in 2008, but he performed keyboards in David Gilmour's solo shows in the early-to-mid 2000s, which I thought was cool.
The way Eddie Van Halen put it into words is best way I've heard David Gilmour explained. "David Gilmour is the benchmark of less being more. He has proved that shredding and fast playing is not the benchmark of mastery level. Gilmour never wastes a note; he builds his solos like a painter; every note, every bend, every tonal inflection has merit...David's solos paint a picture in the minds of his listeners. Something that really is a testament of his talent as a guitar player"
Agreed. The better live version in the 1994 Pulse concert. If you want to see early Pink Floyd watch "Echos" from the Live at Pompeii 1972 show. There are a lot of people who have issues with Roger Waters, but I think he was a very important member of Pink Floyd. Here you would get to see Waters on bass. You should check it out for sure. Love your channel man and I'm also a Colorado boy....Keep crushing!
This is so awesome to watch. It almost brings me to tears. I also get a kick out of the drummer. I don't know who he is. But, I love how much he seems to be smiling while watching David Gilmour play while he's playing the drums.
Greatest Guitar Solo Of All Time Period Never Be One Like It Again On this perfect rare gem masterpiece performance that Everytime he plays it gets better with time absolutely stunning on all levels ever imagined
This man is 78 years old. Back in the day they had to have a doctor back stage to get lead guitar member Syd Barrett on his feet to get through a show. He was an addict and had extreme mental problems. This is a song about Syd. The lyrics of “just a little pin prick” and “I do believe it’s working” and “that’ll keep you going for the show” are about the doctor with Syd. He was comfortably numb.
The song Wish You Were Here is also about Syd. He left the band early in Pink Floyd's career. They were pissed about his addiction, yet also loved him.
@@VioletPhoenixDudeThe song "Wish You Were Here" was NOT about Syd: Waters, who wrote the lyrics, has said: “There’s one song that’s about Syd (“Shine on You Crazy Diamond”), but the rest of it isn’t. It’s a much more universal expression of my feelings about absence. Because I felt that we weren’t really there. We were very absent." Gilmour also added: “Although “Shine on You Crazy Diamond” is the one that is specifically about Syd, and “Wish You Were Here” has a wider remit, I can’t sing it without thinking about Syd.” These quotes appear at 14:08 and 53:17 on the DVD “The Story of Wish You Were Here”.

Oh WOW! One of my favourite songs. Thanks so much for doing it. It took me awhile to realise what the song was about. When I first heard it, I just enjoyed the song, then I found out that it was to do with a heroin overdose which makes the song even more haunting to listen to. Brilliant lyrics and a fantastic band. Thanks again for what you do. Blessings to you from England.
My wife and l travelled from Australia to France to see David Gilmour at Arenes de Nimes 2 weeks after this concert was filmed. It was worth every cent and then some. This is actually 1st time that live event with an audience at the ancient coliseum in Pompeii since 79AD, 1,937 years ago. David's other band, Pink Floyd played there back in 1971 for the song, Echoes Part I&II.
actually the plated the whole " Meddle" album
The spirits of the ancestors collectively sighed and whispered "We want more please."
The Sultans of Swing Mark Knopler (lead guitarist) Dire Straits (band) also good listening.
If I’m honest, Mark Knopfler is my favourite simply because I discovered him first, and I have seen Dire Straits live. But Dave Gilmour is up there, I really wish I got to see Pink Floyd live.
The Alchemy live version.
@@graciezundt4201 God yes. That goes without saying, but I case BP reads the message, let’s say it anyway. Please react to Dire Straits Sultans of Swing, Alchemy Live circa 1985 (I saw them in 92 for the On Every Street tour.
But do the liver version. The drummer absolutely kills it.
@@ezed3902 Terry Williams is his name and he is 🔥 on the skins
1994 Pulse Concert....masterful. blows this one out of the water.
No one can pull as much emotion from a guitar as David Gilmore.
'On the Turning Away', or 'Sorrow'🤘😛🎸👍 Absolutely a Legend lol
Its about a guy who ODs right before a performance and the doctor is trying to get him to be able to perform for the audience... comfortably numb...he can't feel a thing. He can't hear what the doctor is saying, but can see his lips moving. Truly one of the greatest songs ever made.
Pulse my friend. My favourite live performance of any song anywhere anytime. Gotta do it.
This song is about a performer getting his fix from his doctor before a show. It's raw and smooth at the same time. Very well done by Gilmour.
Wow! You're the 1st person I've heard say that besides me! Now I see some in the comments. There's pretty much no other way to take it!!! I've never even done that stuff & I understand!! It's just another pin prick, you might feel a little sick!! Go through the rest of the lyrics, you'll get it! Not you! The rest that doesn't understand it. 🙂
Oh man this is a masterclass in music.
"On the Turning Away" is awesome!🔥
"When I was a child, I caught a fleeting glimpse, out of the corner of my eye. I cannot put my finger on it now, the child has grown, the dream is gone..."
Have you ever every had a split second memory from your childhood? It comes and goes so fast that you can't quite grasp it, but it's there, and it's real. Those fleeting glimpses tend to fade as one grows older but they remain an integral part of who we are...
Pink Floyd isn't just music, it's an experience. ✌🏽
One of the most emotional guitar player ever not a shredders a player of music
So hard to jump into Pink Floyd and truly appreciate it. They are legends. Listen to the album The Dark Side of the Moon.” Love your channel!
I still listen and enjoy Pink Floyd after almost 50 years. I never had the chance to them play. ICONIC MUSIC !!!
Comfortably Numb was voted the Greatest Solo in Rock music
David Gilmour was 70 at this concert. they came out in late 60s and were killing the 70s with many albums. greatest band ever in my opinion. I have seen them live and an amazing experience like no other
Comfortably Numb is from Pink Floyds 11th album "The Wall", released in 1979. Pink Floyd is one the greatest bands of all time. The performance you watched was awesome, but 1994's PULSE tour performance is absolutely amazing. This band has been releasing music since 1967 (The Piper at the Gates Of Dawn), with their final album dropping in 2015. One song you might know, "MONEY", from 1973's DARKSIDE OF THE MOON, considered by many to be one of the greatest albums of all time.
pulse is trash. it's a david gilmour cover band, NOT Pink Floyd.
@@simontemplar3359nice troll!😂
Dude, you’re killing me. I’m 62 years old almost ready for bed. I’ve already had my herb medicine time to go for a journey. Thanks 👍🏽🐷✌🏼
You're so lucky man to discover just by accident David, Comfortably Numb, the meaning of that song, one of the best guitar solos ever and Pink Floyed ALL AT ONCE!
I envy you :)
I love this song in all its versions, but I love the unedited, extended version from Pulse 1994 (11+ minutes!) the best. Great reaction. Keep digging!
SRV is self taught and absolutely amazing
Pulse concert remastered version is phenomenal, David Gilmore is the guitar God, you really need to listen and watch Pulse concert, Comfortably Numb anything from that concert will blow you away, away, when I saw you did this one, I was so disappointed
His guitar style is so unique no one plays like David, some of the best riffs ever.
try the pink Flloyd pulse concert for this same song. Epic!!
If you want to be a Roger Waters Stan and make it all about him then start your own comment thread but don’t drag me into it, I have no interest
@@Penddraig7I wrote it because you were atating that others got facts wrong and then went on to write something wrong/that could be misunderstood;
By claiming Gilmore to be the guitarist and main music writer and then going on to talk about The Wall, wich Gilmore didn't write....
I actually spent some years as a teen being pissed at Waters because I felt like his arrogant artistic sellfabsorption is what drove the group to split... And I actually think that waters AND Gilmore are better together than they are individually... But thats another talk.
Have a good day out there. Chillax a bit. I wasn't gunning for you. I was just adding facts. Basicly just the same you tried to do....
@@Penddraig7 I never said he didn't either. I also own his solo albums. lol
Or Telegraph Road….
Sultans of Swing first. Then Telegraph Road.
Man I love it when you look stuff up I learned too keep doing that I love it
The upper left video at the end of the performance is Epic. Must hear before you die.
Oh My My! This song is something special to me. I am really looking forward to this reaction from you 😊✌️💙🎵🔆
🇬🇧 Can you believe DG was 70 Years old here! I could cry. ❤
You don’t listen to Pink Floyd….You Experience Pink Floyd.
BP, Thank you for making my day, everyday!!!
for almost 2000 years, Pink Floyd (and David Gilmour) are the only ones to have performed in the Pompeii arena, twice. 😎👍🎶🎶
To me, at 54, feeling old, this song exudes not giving a F anymore what anyone ever thinks of me. What a gorgeous song...I never really understood until this point in my life.
Incredible guitar solo by David Gilmour
Live in concert in 94 at Legion Field in Bham Al. Awesome is short selling it!
@rhondahandley9595 girl Atlanta was awesome that tour

Please do Chicago 25 or 26 to 4 live at tanglewood 1970 terry kath rip has One of the greatest guitar solos of his time I think you would really enjoy it and the horns are amazing too
Please remember also that when this was performed Dave Gilmour was 70! he has been performing for 55 years ! RYI NEVER stop a video at Gilmour's solo
Another major mind-blowing performance is Prince’s guitar solo at the end of “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” at the Hall of Fame induction for George Harrison. It’s a star-studded performance…and then Prince just blows everyone away 🙌💯🎉💐
Great song ❤
My late husband was a dedicated Pink Floyd fan, and also loved all of David Gilmour's solo work, especially On An Island.
On an island is quietly brilliant, as are his 1978 'David Gilmour' and 1984 'About face' solo albums
All the guitarists that you mentioned are legends way different styles for each other
Loved it then, love it now! You feel his passion for the guitar! Great reaction thank you❤🎉
You need to see the Pulse , Comfortably Numb.
This is so awesome to watch. It almost brings me to tears. I also get a kick out of the drummer. I don't know who he is. But, I love how much he seems to be smiling while watching David Gilmour play while he's playing the drums.
Pink Floyd the division bell concert in Philadelphia was absolutely one of the best concerts I've been to😊
I saw that tour at Grant Field in downtown Atlanta... Just epic!
Greatest Guitar Solo Of All Time Period Never Be One Like It Again On this perfect rare gem masterpiece performance that Everytime he plays it gets better with time absolutely stunning on all levels ever imagined
The right song, the right guitarist but unfortunately the wrong concert. Watch the same thing again from the PULSE concert. Greetings from Germany.🤘
The "Pulse" concert version is the definitive performance and will blow you away.
He was comfortably numb.
it was Roger Water ( bass player ) who was sick with food poisoning
78 yrs old yesterday
The song Wish You Were Here is also about Syd. He left the band early in Pink Floyd's career. They were pissed about his addiction, yet also loved him.
@@VioletPhoenixDudeThe song "Wish You Were Here" was NOT about Syd:
Waters, who wrote the lyrics, has said: “There’s one song that’s about Syd (“Shine on You Crazy Diamond”), but the rest of it isn’t. It’s a much more universal expression of my feelings about absence. Because I felt that we weren’t really there. We were very absent."
Gilmour also added: “Although “Shine on You Crazy Diamond” is the one that is specifically about Syd, and “Wish You Were Here” has a wider remit, I can’t sing it without thinking about Syd.”
These quotes appear at 14:08 and 53:17 on the DVD “The Story of Wish You Were Here”.
Gary Moore - Messiah Will Come Again live from Montreux is a must watch if you want to know another guitar hero.
I think you will really like the pulse version. David was at his best that night. 🙂.....he is a remarkable guitar player. In fact, you might like to react to many songs from the pulse concert in 94, it was truly amazing. Thank you for your hard work on your channel. I enjoy watching your reactions. Very thoughtful insights on the music you react to.,.,
Wrong version! Need the pulse concert from 1994 🙏🏻
In addition to his skill of playing the guitar, that is such a gorgeous tone.
Learning a skill, learning a subject in school, a musical instrument, building muscle, and growing spiritually, or emotionally ALL require you get comfortable with being uncomfortable.
Ok so 1st of all the 1994 Pulse tour version of comfortably numb is much better. 2nd you should check out "pink floyd - the great gig in the sky" and 3rd solo wise "the eagles - hotel California" but i bet you've heard that one but that last dual solo is fire

Mate do the pulse version. Pink Floyd live pulse version
My wife and l travelled from Australia to France to see David Gilmour at Arenes de Nimes 2 weeks after this concert was filmed. It was worth every cent and then some. We were in a hotel directly across the street from Arenes de Nimes and l sat at the window of our room the night before the concert just listening to the rehearsal and soundcheck. Amazing memories. The heavily armed Police patrolling the street was disconcerting ,but the Nice terrorist attack on Bastille Day had only occurred a week earlier...
Worst part is that this isn't even close to the best version he has of this guitar solo, You should check out the Pulse Concert where he plays with the rest of Pink FLoyd.
Considered one of the best guitars solos ever.
So i'm a bit sad you didn't hear the Pulse Version of this:)
But you can show it to Don :D
(Gilmours guitar is a very different vibe than other guitarists, more of a feel than a "look what i can do" type :D)
Nobody does it better than David Gilmour. I loved him even before Pink Floyd. Amazing talent!
BP you fumbled the ball twice! LOL While I do appreciate the effort, you are killing me here! :D
You have to watch the woodstock version of Joe Cockers All with a little help from my friends to see the energy of his youth... And you also need to watch the Pink Floyd Comfortably Numb from the PULSE live concert to feel Daves magical extended guitar solo.... Those versions are the ones who are magical moments in history. -Sure the artists are always great, but we wanted you to see the most magical moments done by them! :)
-That said, keep rockin!! I am aware we subs all got different memories we would like you to see specifically and you are only one man! LOL
