Suppppper dooper video as usual! Didn’t you have a video about starting this way of living just eating potatoes for a week or so. I can’t find it! Your videos are such a blessing!
Glad you liked the video. I think the video you are referring to was starch solution for beginners. Just search for that on my home page and it should pop up
Wow! Right on time too!!! I was just about to give up. I started starch based eating two months ago but recently got off track. You inspire me!!! I can't wait to make all these reset dishes!! I never even thought of making soup!!! Thankyou for remaining just so authentic and energetic! You are gorgeous!!! Love your bangs too. I'm 69 myself. Sending you love from Kenosha Wisconsin 💘
I needed this after coming out of the holidays! I also needed this since I am recovery from a cold. So, the potatoes and rice are ready now. And I made a great pot of soup with minimum substitutions. I had some blk bean rigatoni noodles. The soup is great! Thank you for your direction in my pursuit of a sustainable weight loss lifestyle!
Oh my, I needed this! Love your emphasis on simple, common food. I had backtracked by buying snack foods, and eating them. After watching your video I asked my husband to hide it in the garage so I'm not tempted. It feels good to have a clean no junk food kitchen again. Thank you !!
This was a great video Debi! I love how you make cooking plant based simple , not complicated. Also, because of you, I used my newly purchased veggie chopper for a delicious quinoa soup I was making and absolutely love it. Right away my daughter said great for cutting onions and I had only sent a photo of it. It will be coming her way sooner than she thinks! One problem I find is getting the Yukon potato as the big stores have their own brands, so it has been impossible to find a bag of spuds with the word Yukon on it. These have always been my favorites. Thanks again for your great content.
You are so welcome! So glad you are loving the chopper. You're daughter will love it too! Sometimes I can't find the Yukon golds but if you get the ones that say gold, or yellow potatoes they are good as well. Thank you so much for your comment and your watching my videos.💚
Great reset video🎉 I clicked the like even before I watched😂 because I knew it was what I needed😮 Please make more reset videos❤ It happens we fall off the wagon as you said.. we are only humans. And it happened for me... not a big fall off.. just a little reeling in the waltz😂 But now back again😊
reset Hi Debi, thanks for the minestrone soup. I used to make it all the time but have fallen away from it so now I'll get it going again. It is a favorite of mine and my husband as well.
Reset! Oh thank you for this,it’s always good to remember to go back to the basics. If I hadn’t made a pot of vegetable soup and a pot of brown rice yesterday guess what I’d be making today? Your minestrone looks delicious. Love hearing the chimes in the background

Reset! Thanks for the timely ideas, Debbie. I'm staying the course but I will say that always having something on hand is the secret to success. I, too, love having soup always on hand and I'm just finishing off a batch of lentil soup so I'm looking forward to trying your minestrone. It looks so simple (my kinda dish!). I may try seasoning blend from the bag to make it even quicker and maybe add peas & carrots to it as well. Cheers! (Oh, I meant to ask before as "sister" nurse - what was your area of practice?)
You are so welcome! I hope you enjoy the soup recipe and feel free to modify it anyway you like! I am still working and I am a pre admission testing nurse. I take care of all the surgery patients before their surgery.
hi there thanks for the upload I am in New Zealand and on sickness, now i just did all my shopping and got potatoes pumpkin and kumara cauliflower carrots peas, and cabbage I thought for some reason carrots were more of a non starch is it ok if on a budget to get a bag of carrots peas and corn or is that with potato going to be to much starch? food here has gone through the roof my bag of 4kg spuds cost me 15 dollars other veg also through the roof its not the place it use to be thank you in advance for hopefully replying to my question
You are so welcome! I consider carrots as a non starchy veg. If you are eating that with corn, peas and potatoes that is not too much starch, be sure to add lots of greens and broccoli as well. . The price of food is outrageous here too. Keeping your diet to whole foods is cheaper than processed foods and so much healthier for you.
Sounds like menopause to me. It is normal. It happens to me as well. You may want to up your protein, think tofu, tempeh, edamame. For me I need to limit my intake of breads and pasta. if not I start to see it around my middle. Stick with whole carbs like potatoes and sweet potatoes, oats, rice, beans and lots and lots of non starchy veggies along with a plant protein.
It's always the perfect time for a reset and during the holidays is no exception. I hope you find this video helpful, enjoy💚

If I make the rice and quinoa on the stove is it the same amount of water
Yes, 1 part rice 2 parts water.
What brand hashbrowns do you use. I am having a hard time finding them without any additives.
I use Trader Joe's or Sprouts. You can also use fresh potatoes. Bake potatoes and refrigerate over night and then grate them It works great.
I am 58 and gain first in my stomach is this normal ? or what do I need to change ?
