@@Tulitakon yes I do. I eat a banana and blueberries everyday in my oatmeal and Ieat grapes, plums, apples. I don't really limit my fruit. I eat 3 to 4 pieces a day on average especially during the summer.
Not at all. It’s so familiar to me. I really enjoy that kind of eating. I come from Greece and the Mediterranean vegetarian diet is my favourite. But I thought that I must avoid the starches and carbs during menopause . Thank you so much for the valuable information and your time. Have a nice day

Keeping things simple is key. Thanks for showing how it can be done. I have heard Dr. Mcdougall say, 'pick a starch and add vegetables.' Makes it all so simple. Also Jeff Novick says to keep a can of beans in the fridge, and scoop a couple tablespoons on top of your meal to give it that extra boost.

I think one of the reasons I can’t stick with the Starch Solution is because the recipes usually seem like they take a lot of time. I work 10 hour days and I’m used to convenience eating. I like how simple your video was, I’ll give it another try. Thanks!

@@atomic_poppy Silly question. Nurses & on call doctors & plenty of others that do shift work do 12 hour shifts. Many folk out there work 2 jobs.
I cook potatoes in the microwave a lot. You can also buy Minute Rice Cups that micro in 60 seconds. I use Minute brown rice in the bags it takes 15-20 minutes v. 40 on the stove for raw brown rice, but I don't have an Instant Pot or rice cooker. You can also freeze cooked rice in batches, I freeze them in 1 or 2 cup portions.
So simple! I have rice and potatoes in the fridge, a potato broccoli Cheeze soup, salad fixings, Cheeze sauce, BBQ sauce, hot sauces. I have the raspberry balsamic vinegar from Rocky Mount Olive oil company, and make a peanut sauce with PB2, coconut aminos, ginger, garlic, chili flakes and a touch of maple syrup. Great on your rice and veggies or to dip salad rolls into. Love your channel!

I love brown rice. I wash the brown rice and then put in rice cooker with correct amount of water. I do this in the morning and leave it set all day. Then 1 hour before dinner I cook the rice, fluff it when the rice is cooked and then put the lid back on and let rice set out 20 minutes before serving. Perfect, nutty, and each grain is fluffy. I learned this method when I lived in Japan.

Been WFPB since 1993 and it's really true, the simpler the better. A great simple breakfast is a cubed potato, add some frozen peppers and onions, season with paprika, black pepper, garlic powder, makes great diner potatoes for any meal. I cube a potato then microwave it😅 then add it to the peppers and seasoning. Serve with fruit. Bon Appétit!

Thank you for this video. I started this last year, but the amount of prep work was too much for me and I gave up. Your approach is simple, and I think it will help me greatly.
You are so welcome! Once you get it down the prep is fairly easy. I do the same thing every week. Bake a bunch of potatoes and sweet potatoes. Steam a bunch of veggies. make some rice and maybe make a soup. You can do all these at the same time and takes a little over an hour. Then you are set.

I've been putting garlic powder and smoked paprika on my boiled potatoes. I have some veggies with it. I'm new to the Starch Solution but have been vegan for almost 2 years now. I also enjoy mixing half wild rice with half basmati rice and putting veggie broth and tamari on it. I make a big pot of it and put it in the fridge. I put the wild rice on first for 25 minutes and then add the basmati and cook for 15 more minutes. Works for me. :)
