When I thought the restoration was over, I was hit over the head with the making of the wooden base. Always an amazing work, but the way you guys work with wood is by far the best I have seen in UA-cam. Such a pleasure to watch.

I just joined your channel. I have been following your videos over Facebook. I find watching relaxing so I had to sign in on UA-cam and start watching on my windscreen tv. I appreciate the work you do!
I'm so glad you were able to restore this beautiful grinder and fix the play that the shaft had! and you even made it the same red we have in our kitchen!!!
@@Septounze It is the same person or team in the video on each channel, but there are different channels run by different people. This video is on LADB Restorations channel so it is the same person in each video on his channel. Several different channels do restorations, and several of those channels owners have cats that show up in the video. One channel I follow restores old metal toy cars, and he has a cat also.
I love the fact that you treated every piece with the vegetable oil. The hand painting and the bold color really puts it all together. The craftsmanship of methodically inspecting and fixing each piece was nice to see. Creating the wood base was a nice ending to the restoration. You definitely have skills. Can't wait to the next video.
I watched this on the first anniversary of the passing of my Mother. It brought back wonderful memories of using a manual grinder at her kitchen table in the early 1960's when I was just a boy. Thanks for the memories- and happy tears.
Your restorations have always calmed me whenever I feel like an anxiety attack is coming! So meat grinder or no meat grinder, thank you for your hardwork!
Very few channels cause me to stop what I'm doing and instantly watch the video. Yours is one of those and I really appreciate the work and the attention to detail. I always look forward to seeing your next project.
It never stops to fascinate me how companies we now know as some sophisticated tools or high tech machines manufacturers some time ago were just humble meat grinder manufacturers. Great work there on the project! Thank you!
This turned out so beautiful! And I love how respectful you are of the instrument's age. It's lovingly restored, but you can still see its history. Wonderful!
This video reminds me of happy days watching my father repair and rebuild so many family items brought to him over the years. We used to have a meat grinder my mother used for so many great recipes! My husband and I love your channel!!!
I am a Big History Buff!!! And have been a Meat Cutter for 15 years, Cherry on top I am a HUGE fan of your restoration videos!!!! I love Love Loveee and would be a great Honor to have this Great piece of art in my Meat Cutting History collection!!!! THANK YOU FOR ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO!!!!
This has been on my wish list for years. I have seen them in our local antique shop. You did a beautiful job restoring it. It would go perfectly in my kitchen 😁. The ones I have seen here are no where near as beautiful as this is.
Honestly i love watching your videos because you take something that time has forgotten and make it look like it was just bought off the store shelf! I especially liked this one because in a weird way it reminded me of my grandfather. He was a butcher for over 50 years. His first real job at 18 was a butchers apprentice. He had just gotten married and had a kid on the way. So to see something he would've used look so beautiful is amazing. Thank you for doing these videos, truly beautiful work
I love watching these videos while I doing chores around my house, they really help with my motivation. You do such a fantastic job restoring things, truly nearing it being art
Amazing as always. Being will into my 60's I remember my mother using a grinder like that one when I was a kid back on the farm. Love your cat looks a lot like mine.
My grandson loves watching your channel. He is captivated by how you turn old back to new. He is only 4 but he is smart as a tack when it comes to figuring things out. I love your channel as well. There are so many restorations that you have done that I would enjoy using. I try to make everything from scratch so my grandchildren as well as my children see that it tastes better from scratch. I look forward to many more restoration videos from you. Maybe watching this one will show me how to fix one my daughter bought me. It slips and will not grind that meat. Thank you for all hard work.
A restoration for me is not only repairing an object but, most importantly, making sure that the object retains its soul. Nobody does this better than you. And Avril is an absolute bonus. She is the cherry on the cake. Thank you for your very inspiring and educational videos. I always look forward to each one of them.
I find your videos so satisfying. These items you restore are beautiful and they get to live another lifetime because of you. Thank you for what you do and continue the great work.
Your videos are fabtastic +just the right amount of sensitive restoration. The gorgeous bucolic background makes you want to be right there. And when it comes to wood - the heart sings. Traditional methods combined with consummate skill. An utter joy. Thank you LADB!
Have no need for a meat grinder but I did want to say that your videos help a lot with my anxiety. Not only are they relaxing but the thought that someone would take the time to fix something worn down and broken makes me feel good. Thank you for your hard work
For someone who has only used a lathe for the first time ….. you fooled me! Brilliant restoration which brings back memories of my mum using a similar mincer in the 1950’s. Yes I have been subscribed for a few years and love all your videos plus adore your ginger cat! HAHA!
I always come back to your channel for the craftsmanship. Hot blued parts. Countersunk and filled screw holes. Real carpentry. Preservation of original parts.
Watching your videos always bring me so much joy. To see lost and forgotten items given a second chance is wonderful. Thank you for all the work you do, and sharing your process with us!
I always find it fun looking at who's hands are working and figuring out which one of you it is, and I love seeing avril in these! I'd love to see more of that rascal 💙
This is fantastic! My boy and I have been searching for a quality grinder, he loves to cook and make sausage! What a find, and I could personally watch your restorations 24/7!
I absolutely adore watching this restoration, they always help me fall asleep, cook, work, etc! I just love watching the stuff go from old, Rusty, just old looking too fully functional, almost brand new looking, beautiful products!
I was hooked on restoration videos pretty recently. I introduced my family to it and now it’s something we watch together when the videos are released! Thank you so much for this escape from the world!
Magnifique comme d'habitude ! Et ne pas oublier que dans 4 jours c'est la Fête de Avril Miaouuu. Beautiful as always ! And don't forget that in 4 days it's the April Feast Miaouuu.
The way you restore it and make it look like how it would’ve back then is my favourite part about your channel. Because most people who fix old gadgets and gizmos and games try to make it look new which I think ruins the point of fixing it. Anyways Love the content, you’ll always have my support.🤗❤️
It is good to see the tradition of master and apprentice continue on throughout the years. Watching this also builds in me the confidence that no fancy tools are needed to do a restoration. Also, the acceptance there are some things that cannot be restored for further use. We must respect the craftsmanship of days gone by where durability was the hallmark of the brand. Avril the shop manager does a wonderful job keeping them on task. May you all have a safe week.
Another wonderful restoration, and another approval inspection by Avril. Glad to see you have a Lathe for making those small special fixings, I think you will now need to make a tailstock Die holder, you will also find that high speed lathe tools are better for these small turning jobs than the tipped tools, which chip very easily, you have a bench grinder, so you can sharpen HSS tools to whatever shape you need. Take care! Chris B.
My wife and I love watching your videos 😍 we watch them before we sleep and we love to comment as you work 😂 our favorite parts are whenever you use the sand blaster. I'm not even mad if we don't win, I just hope whoever gets this appreciates the love and work you put into making it new again! Good luck everyone ❤️
Always love seeing so much of the original product being used in the restoration. So much more satisfying than just replacing parts and filling damage with Bondo.
I love seeing old/antique items restored to their former glory. I’ve been wanting to learn how to make my own sausages. I have nowhere near the patience that you have. You always make great videos. Thanks for that.
Absolutely loved this restoration. I am huge fan of the antique equipment and still love using them today! A meat grinder would be an awesome addition to my collection.
Old meatgrinders are proof of the standards we used to have for our stuff, pretty much everything could be fixed and restored by the common man. Totally different nowadays.
Of all the restoration channels, I enjoy yours the most, because you feature items that belong to our Italian traditions as well. Keep up with the good work!

For a first time user of the lathe amazing job,
I love how, no matter where in the world you are, there's always a cat in the shop...😻
