I agree with the things you mention. Also, for me at least, it was a "gateway drug" into the ADV bike genre. I'll most likely pick up a bigger twin, or triple...lol...one of these days. I've found that the riding style of these bikes suit me. Previous bikes I've owned were a Ducati Supersport, and a Honda VTX. I've enjoyed the KLR much more. Ride safe!
Oh I'll own another bike for sure but I will never get rid of the KLR. I can't imagine ever selling one unless you just hate it. The trade in value is minimal and it's so cheap to own it just doesn't make sense to sell it
