Broken Headstock Repair 2 Years later...
Hi is may Suzuki gt 125 spare Parts piston 40
Hi I’m converting my drums on the front to disc conversion - the spindles I have can I use them with the new kit as my car is low already and the kit has dropped spindles - so wondered if the spindles I have from current drum brakes can be used again for now? Many thanks ❤
Are these slip ons? Or a full system? Either way sounds nice!
What happened after the new carbs
Great video. Thanks for uploading. I'm going to do the same to my bug soon. Do you know what the torque settings are for the ball joiints etc? Cheers!
i know a few dudes that did that,it explains the 8 ball missing bar pool tables
I so wish they had dropped spinners for a Dodge charger 2012 I hate lowering spings they ride like crap. I wish I could find somebody to make them dropdrop spindles and then in the back I can just do coil overs I guess.
Thanks Mate, I bought some dropped spindles from just Kameruka after watching your installation video. Cheers.
ahh music to my ears :) thank you
good job! I wish you were nearby--i just received a china archtop guitar with broken off headstock.
I like your video Mate. I've got a69 bug the same colour and like what you did to yours. Where is the best place to buy the dropped spindles ? I'm in NSW Australia. Cheers Mate.
Thanks for watching. I think I bought mine from just kampers Australia.
awesome upload. keep buggin ✌️😊
I just dropped my fairly cheap guitar, as I do at least once a week, and today the headstock breaks off. I hope it will be a simple task to repair. Thanks for the video.
Did you re-jet the carbs, or did you just change the pipes? And how did it run afterwards? Just like before, but with more awesome sound? :)
Hi, Pipes were already on bike when I got it. It hadn't been rejetted and ran fine. It was a lot louder than stock.
Would the dowels not be better at an angle, as in bottom left to upper right at 2:13?
You maybe right. The repair is holding up after 6 years. I drilled them straight as I used a drill press.
Hope to add setup to me 1970 convertible bug 👍
Et un like pour la Furphy . Best beer ever. Fuck i miss Melbourne
Cheers mate.. You've really helped me learn some self maintenance instead of tali g it to the mechanics every few months
Great to hear!
You made it look so simple! Is it a twinport? How much HP can you get? I bet it sounds way better. Cheers!
Bought a acoustic guitar with the headstock split a part. The problem is that the split is almost perfect, like they sawed it in a vertical line, I tried to glue with contact glue (best glue the construct shop worker recommended me), a week later, splited again. Dunno how to repair, especially because the singular way the two parts are separated. Pls someone can help me???
Fender jest rebeliancki i surowy Gibson jest szlachetny i miękki a gretsch to coś pomiędzy
The Strat. No doubt
6years late but you have a vacuum line in the front that's not blocked off
You really need dual port heads and dual port manifolds with your kadron;s single port heads are super restrictive.
Excellent quick video of how to check/clear a blockage. Thanks, I hope this works for me.
so I have a question mine broke like that but while I was trying to tune my guitar n the strings where not even tight at all some was still loss was just wondering couse this is my first guitar is it something I did wrong or was ther maybe a crack on it already or was it made out of cheap wood maybe
Ficaria melhor em um cabeçote com entradas duplas
do you still have this bike?
Yes, I still have it.
I'm about to get one of these as my first bike. Your exhaust sounds good. Is it obnoxiously loud or a little louder than stock?
It was quite a bit louder than stock.
Are they straight pipes or baffled pipes? Slip on or full exhaust?
@@LongMileGamerThey are baffled but not repackable that I could tell, and they are a slip on muffler. I really liked them!
the Strat
drop spindles look cool but all the rest of the front end is old and crusty ,what a waste of time and effort !!!!
if your talking about the under carriage then it could use a bit of upgrading like most cars do..As far as outward appearance we here in the States welcome a sometimes crusty edge to a car..Call it patina if you will with a little rust or even a few dents..it just goes to remind us what a cars life ( so to speak ) went through and how it stood to preservation..This car however looks pretty sweet as far as outward appearance in my opinion..Not sure what your seeing as crusty..It actually looks above average for most cars on this under carriage from what i see here..Worth ever bit of effort ..price a VW in the States in this condition and your talking serious money..To each his own and i would love to own this gem in any condition..Your talking a ticking gold mine as far as collectors are concerned..If you ever have one of these for sale you might want to reconsider what you think as a waste of time and effort because you will lose your shorts in selling it..
@@milmil6594 i was talking about ball joints/brake discs etc patina is good on all cars !!!!! of age
While I understand that's a low cost guitar ,there are better methods to repairing it. The dowels were not a good choice.
Encouraging and realistic.
Thanks for the comment!
Those Cobra’s sound good. May I ask what Cobra’s or model they are. I also saw you are a Gretsch person too. I have some myself. I gig with and record with them alot. Please let me know about your pipes. I have an 05 VStar Classic. I was lookin a the Vance and Hines shorts but I like the looks and sound of yours better.
Thanks for watching. They are model 2163SC for 98-12 models. They are a slip on muffler. Good luck with it!
It's also an imported bike as in km not mph original bikes were in mph only you can convert this by fitting a kmp to mph converter on the speedo cable as an import they are not worth as much as the original bikes it a specialist market for old 2 strokes and people will only pay what they think its worth mine was excellent condition original gt 125 L and sold for only £800 I paid £385 for it as a restoration project spent over £1000 on it and only sold it for £800 I do have the workshops manual for this bike also have the original 70s gt 125 parts factory dealers manual I think I have two new cylinder barrells somewhere I know I have an original suzuki gt 125 6v generator off my old bike some where I may sell these soon as I no longer have the bike
Great video, those sound sweet. I just got a 2011 V Star 650 with same pipes and love them. It had been over 30 years since I rode and was stalling more than I wanted. Your video taught me the right amount of throttle to clutch release
Enjoy the ride!
Did you have to put jet kit in carb?
I bought the bike with the pipes on, so not sure. At the least the mixture would probably have to be tweaked.
Great Video
Can I ask a question that someone might actual answer. I am 6.2 or 188 cm. Would to be beginning so would that high be OK for it? I thought of 1100 but as I mentioned I am rather beginner plus I think it would be 60 in towns 40 %outside ride.
It's not too bad if U have forward controls
great vid only one that talks about the camber. just could have shown a little more and the adj if you need to do so.
Love the Jailbreak riff
My daughter's 55 beetle has a 64 engine. It runs and idles but won't start with out starting fluid 😤 Help
We always put an inline push on fuel filter in the fuel hose before the carb to catch stuff before getting to carburetor.
Thank you Mr Slugish!!!
This a 650cc V Star??
Yes
@@mrslugish3423 thanks
Would drop spindles support aftermarket wheels i.e 4x100 pcd/ 5x112 pcd etc? It seems you can run disc brakes after the fact, and if drop spindles do not fit in them, i'll go for springs/coilovers from koni etc
Hi! Currently having an issue with a 34 pict 3 that refuses to idle/ stalls on idle. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you
Kinda wish you went a little further for riding with them. Barely got to hear them before you’d let off the throttle and slow down.
Thank you Australia I appreciate what you've done.
Good job. Get an air brush and remember when trying to match paint keep it simple and be patient...test your color, brown guitar you need burnt umber, a pin head at a time indian yellow that's a semi opaque yellow that's more orange than standard and some white very small amount a pinhead of read medium and test, always remember your sample is wet and that makes it look darker so test it will lighten up. The yellow is because paint yellows as it ages so very little when you dab a little on your guitar it should appear darker if it's lighter darker it test and while it's drying seal and keep in refrigerator when you have it take your airbrush and lightly add color until it's uniform then back off, less is better, let dry over night fill your airbrush with recommended clear lightly coat 1 coat next go a little further out on the second same on the third and every coat to come let dry over night turtle buffing compound very fine stuff and gently with a clean old t-shirt buff first add some cotton balls in the center of your 5×5" rag twist it to form a 25 cent surface and ease into it and when it's not noticeable stop go shopping forget about it. People have this thing in their brains that trying to perfect the job don't period when it's good it's good over working sets you up for a more complicated fix. I'm Zombiwolf and I approve this advice.
