4500km on a pre-production RE, the high naked mountains of the Himalayas, 600+ episodes, a marriage party, camels, elephants, all the chai you can drink, delicious food, stunning architecture, lovely people and two mirrors intact. Congrats Noraly on another epic adventure 🥰
Looking back at India it has been a wonderful journey. Desert , mountains , monkeys, elephants, camels, temples, forts , palaces. Blue, pink , tan cities and just a great assortment of beautiful people being people. Wonderful food and probably the best Chi tea you can imagine I did not realize how diverse India was , so thanks for taking us along and sharing your perspective.
It's even more diverse. She just covered the North and North West states of India. South, East and Northeast are entirely different and amazing as these states.
"I'm not good with reviews". You are one of the few persons whose opinion I actually trust. You basically sold me the original 411, which has been a proud companion on many adventures.
What wonderful review thank you. Besides my BMW r1200RT I might get this as an adventure dual sports bike for the California's back country and motor camping 🏕
Just sold my street bike last week. Giving serious thought to getting the new Himalayan when available in the US. At 74 I hope it’s not too late to learn a bit of adventure riding. Thanks Noraly for the review and including all of us on your journey!
I was never a RE fan, but after watching your videos I'm now totally fallen in love with the bike.. The content you share with us is amazing. I'm happy I started following you. You showed us so much about India that I haven't seen myself. Already a big fan.
I can't believe the Indian/Himalayan adventure is over. Thanks so much to Royal Enfield for loaning you this pre-production bike. I'm sure they've received a lot of positive feedback and great press from their association with you and your 1.89 million subscribers. Your fans all await your return to Africa. We also wonder if your experience with the more powerful Himalayan might make you ditch your Honda. Stay tuned.
You’re probably better suited to reviewing this bike than most motorcycle journalists having used the previous version and covered many miles on this one. Keep up the fantastic work and safe travels wherever you go.
One of the most qualified people on the planet to give a review on adventure/dual sport/travel bikes... starting off by being humble and warm and cute about not being good at reviews. Sigh. Love!
As a long time Ford motor company dealership mechanic, I rarely buy new engines, especially water cooled from air cooled. 15 HP is not enough for reliability, and you proved reliability in the 411. This is a channel of your life , and people don't get bored of it. I've enjoyed the last 4 weeks of watching on my recovery of an injury, and it's been an eye opener seeing your travels. Thank you
For me personally.. going water cooled is a big deal.. adventure riding.. very slow in hot climate and high altitudes those air-cooled thumpers can get lightning hot... at almost 200lbs and 50lbs of gear... all the power I can get is needed especially in the USA we have to travel highways to get to our "adventure". That was the biggest complaint of the 411. The extra OD gear is a big deal now too. Cheers and heal well and hopefully a speedy recovery.
@@skippynj1979 only problem I see , which we had in the 1.5 liter Ford engine, was water getting into the combustion chamber. With only 15hp gain, it was not worth the chance on buying a not tested engine and the 411 in which Noraly couldn't break it
@JohnDavis-ol7qg I don't think she's BUYING the bike. I guess Royal Enfield gave it to her to have feedback and mutual promotion, what makes a lot of sense, also because she already did big trips around India and other asian countries with the previous model (Itchy, Royal Enfield and bike trips through India come together easily). Referring to the 15 HP extra power...it depends a lot on what you want to do with what vehicle. In my car, 15HP wouldn't make a big change. In my 125cc motorbike (13HP😂) it won't either AS LONG AS I stay in the city, where max speed is 90-100kmh, but would be fantastic in the road. For many people (like me) who were considering the previous Himalayan, not being able to overtake trucks in the highway is a major problem that 15HP extra solves. So I'm waiting a little bit and will see how reliable is the new model, because the rest looks 👌
Noraly, I have been watching your channel for years now !! I have no idea how you can make these videos or vlogs with almost 2 million subscribers and no ads every 3 minutes and sill put out some of the best content ever on UA-cam, without what looks likes major sponsors. I am truly amazed and I hope you are making the money you deserve, so much more than most content creators. You are a blessing to this world and motorcycling.
Well said. Noraly spoils us. No timeouts for promotional content on top of masterpiece video creations. Hopefully many fans support Noraly through her website store, Loyalty membership, etc. Peace!
You said you don't do reviews, Itchy Boots, but take my word for it -- you come with all the bells and whistles of a good reviewer. I'd love you to review all the bikes that you have traveled on, this far. A lovely, no-frills, to-the-point review!
Surviving the Indian traffic without a single incident, I honestly congratulate you to both your riding skills and good fortune! Thanks for sharing your impressions on the bike, it's clearly a testament that for having exceptional experiences in remote locations of this planet, it doesn't take an exceptionally big or expensive motorbike. Thank you for taking us along on that journey, and all the best for your next trip to Africa! 😊
I spent 5 years in East Africa, I rode through Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, Somalia. I used to ride Yamaha trr 250. Never ever met Big GS, nor KTM of any sort. Bikes, which I met there, were BMW 650 GS Dakar, and one American guy rode Yamaha 450 somewhere in Kenya. The biggest bike I saw as far as I remember, that time 15 years ago, was Africa Twin 750 in Mombasa. Big bikes are being ridden in Europe and USA mainly on weekends.
Incredible journey, India somehow holds a magic that really comes through in your videos, the way you travel we feel like we are on the journey with you. Great job!
I love what you showed of India, certainly broadens my outlook. To top it off, my Jeep parts arrived from India and I'm impressed with the quality. If I was a bit younger I would be looking forwards to getting my new Himalayan 500. Thanks Noraly.
What amazes me in all her trips starting from the very first trip to India is her ability to connect with people. It helps us to see the true unfiltered happiness that transcends all boundaries and peoples. Thank you Noraly.
"Noraly, this is the best review I have ever seen. As riders, we are not interested in technical details; we just want to know how that thing feels. Your review captured that perfectly. Thank you so much!"
Well said and I felt same way. You can tell she didn't copy a format used by other motorcycle reviewers. Its all genuine Noraly just like everything else she does. Peace!
You know what , there are people who are showing bad parts of India and they are often bullying Indians over hygiene, population and sanitation etc. But they forget that every place has its beauty too. I really appreciate Noraly for showing the “Good India” which we truly feel proud of as Indians. The beautiful villages, Indian chai, always smiling and kind people, historical places , heritage buildings and monuments , etc from east to west and north to south India is so diverse yet so unique. Thank you Noraly for taking a ride through our country and showing it to the people in a positive way. I hope you had a great time in India . Will miss your vlogs in India . Namaste 🙏
Bro its simple if you pay less the product you get will be with some cost cutting and Compromise. The Typical Western Vloggers would come stay in the most dirt cheap Locality and then would complain about local infrastructure Hygeine. And also the Audience doesn't Realize there is a reason why the Hotel prices are low in that area...and start generalizing India as a whole. The Western Vloggers also know that it will give them viewrship as most people honestly watch India Vlogs to see the Poverty and struggle , As they have seen in Hollywood Movies and Series where as soon as India is mentioned a Default BROWN & DIRT Filter is Appplied which is totally out of touch with Reality. I Still Remember the Hollywood Movie where they showed Monkey Meat being served in RAJASTHAN 😂😂😂😂 Literally the Most VEGETARIAN state in India which shows how much Research they do in West about a Place.
It always has been a dream to go visit India, because of the colourful life, food and humility, but I do not know if I will ever be able to go there. This journey of Noraly gives such deeper insights of India, which I doubt would ever have been possible by a mere short visit. Thank you, Noraly, for taking me with you all the way on the back seat of your bikes, no matter which one-I must say, I loved this one a bit more than the others, as it had a silky sound. ♡♡
Your visit to India was superb again. Your connection with the people really stood out. We have learned a lot more about the culture and the wonderful art and buildings. Your revieuw of the Himalayan could not have been better. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to Africa.
My god, i'm crying, i cannot go to india this year. I wish I was sitting on your back. The bike looks much better & faster than the old Himalayan. better engine, suspensions, tank, but always heavy. all the best, come back to mother india.
That was a glowing review. Royal Enfield made a really smart decision letting you ride the pre-production Himalayan. I doubt they could have made a better ad campaign than what you just did for them over the past months. They should give you an open invitation. Anytime you come to India the ride is on them.
@@nicknick3014 So what? RE must have an advertising department. Having Noraly ride the Himalayan around India for a while on one of the most popular motorcycle vlogs is some pretty good bang for the buck. And as humble as she is about it she really is good at it. If she ever retires from vlogging a company would do well to pick her up for advertising.
For someone who is not a bike reviewer, that was a pretty competent, coherent and thorough review of the bike, from the point of view of a very experienced world rider! NW India looks fantastic. Good luck on rejoining your W Africa trip. Quite a contrast I would say, but either better than Europe in Winter.
This was truly an amazing series of your ride in India. Never missed a minute of it. Awesome riding skills especially those high altitude stretches and the small paths in the cities .Beautiful people ! Amazing landscapes! Fantastic cities . See you soon Noraly! Cant wait for Africa now
Thanks from Western Australia for the great trip videos and also the honest review of the new Himmy. I bought my 411 after seeing your first ride and now my two brothers and a friend all have them, with many adventures under our belts. With your review I'm pretty keen to get hold of the 452 but also keep Himmel. Thanks and safe trip to Africa.
Usually , I don't watch Itchy's vlogs , but I feel a sense of relatability when I watch her videos talking about motorcycles as I am just 168cm tall and she's 167cm tall and watching another short person opinions about bike's gives me better idea of what & how I would fit on it .
We can’t thank you enough for bringing the the people of the world to us. Not a motorcycle video but a wonderful glimpse into the regions you explore. Best UA-cam channel ever! The United Nations needs someone with your expertise!
I have been so impressed with this India series. And now, learning that it was created even after having to omit so much footage because of the dashboard interference, I'm even more impressed. Amazing! I have my bag packed for Africa Noraly----let's go!
Did you not see what was written in the brackets? Or perhaps you think that the current 400 comments should uniformly praise. How do you equate 'disappointing' with 'miserable'? Noraly is a big girl and doesn't need your cotton wool.@@davidmarsh9897
@@davidmarsh9897I also disagree. The first part if fails to impress not only by the magnificence of the landscape covered, which at times the drone footage alone rendered Noraly virtually invisible even on a giant screen, then there is something seriously wrong with that commenter. I have thoroughly enjoyed that as well as this India series.
@@davidmarsh9897 count me in that too. I was really on the edge of my saddle a few times. But out of all of that one question I was left with was what are the people in Africa riding? They seem to be handling the conditions that vexed Noraly just fine and with enough confidence to help her out a couple of times.
It was good to have you with us in India. You are always welcome here. We love your adventures all over the world, and your ability to get along with everyone is truly amazing! It was good that RE gave you their new Himalayan to ride and your review was really helpful! Looking forward to your African saga... Happy riding!
All the tech explanation apart, what I like the most is your passion for adventure motorcycling, your face expressions, your dialect and the chuckles and laughs while executing the dialogs. You are my role model👍
Yep - Noraly is my role model hands down. She has taught us so much and yes those facial expressions are like gold. They tell us things even if she didn't speak.
Ik hoop dat Royal Enfield je werk heeft beloond. Ze hebben veel geluk dat je een paar jaar geleden voor hun avonturenmachine hebt gekozen. Je bent een geweldige merkambassadeur.
Noraly…this India series was totally awesome!! I don’t like bike reviews either but your opinion is always worth listening to! In today’s episode..loved the camel parade!! And it still amazes me that you can talk, film, and ride safely in that hectic traffic !! Your adventures are always a pleasure to watch and thank you for making everything look so easy!! Ready or not…Africa here we go!! Let’s go Itchy Boots!! Cheers from Texas USA❤❤
What a great series this was! Your review of the Himalayan was great. I’m sure you enjoyed the big differences in this bike and Basanti. Seeing India through your eyes is never going to get old and I’m glad you brought us along. Looking forward to your reunion with Alaska and Africa! Thanks for another great video!
The problem with the screen flicker is that RE has used an OLED panel which has a PWM rate. Basically all oleds have this pwm frequency which causes this flickering on phones and also televisions. Now the naked eye cant spot this but the camera will definitely. Some people are also very sensitive to this pwm flicker and it can cause eye strain ,headaches and fatigue when you look at it for long time. I am an lcd screen supporter and dont like these oled screens with such flicker. Its really good that you raised this issue Noraly 👏👏
The problem with the refresh rates on OLED displays is that when you bounce or move your head fast you get the “jello” effect. It’s a common problem and realistically is only resolved by having very fast refresh rates (240Hz for example).
I've loved your Indian adventures, thanks for bringing us along! I've been amazed at how friendly and welcoming most of the people have been - they're very quick to share what little they have with you, they all seemed genuinely pleased to see you. I also didn't realise India had so many palaces and forts - I wish the Indian government would invest more into their upkeep and restoration as that would be an amazing source of tourist income for lots of these towns...Have a well earned break and we'll catch up with you soon! 🥰
India is an Ancient Civilizational old Country with plenty of Archeological Sites, Paleontological Sites, Temples, Hill Forts, Sea Forts, Riverside Forts, Island Forts, Desert Forts, Hill Palaces, Heritage Palaces, Historical Monuments and Buildings unfortunately yet uncharted or lesser known to outside world. Even Foreign You Tube Vloggers seldom or very rarely explore these ancient marvels across Pan India.
Actually most of the Forts have been restored and turned into 5star hotels. Comming to the ones you see in video some have been turned into Museums. While a few which haven't been restored are actually not Forts but Forward Outposts which were meant to accommodate a few troops . They don't have much inside them to restored into a museum. Also Govt is planning to start bidding for some of these Forward outposts for Hotel Groups to convert them to Hotels .
@@arpanabinaswar1811 Not most of the Forts have been restored and turned into 5 star hotels. That's incorrect information. Yes some forts and Palaces especially in Rajasthan State has been turn into Heritage Hotels. Yet many forts across Pan India still remains even unrestored due to lack of funds from their respective Governments.
😊OMG! How can you start this video saying that you're not good at a review video?! This was WAY MUCH better than a simple review because you showed the bike exactly DOING WHAT IT DOES BETTER, and not inside a shop whatsoever. Thank you for showing us another beautiful episode of your journeys and the new Himalayan! ❤ I'm a huge fan here from Brazil and you can't imagine how sad I felt coz I didn't get the chance to go to the Royal Riders Meeting in Pindamonhangaba - São Paulo that you were a few weeks ago. 😮
Thank you Noraly for the trip through India with their beautiful landscapes, interesting history and such warm welcoming people.Excited now for Africa....Safe journeys
And just like that, true to her Tradition , Noraly leaves a bike in every continent, Basanti in Europe, Dhanno in South América, Savanna and Alaska in Africa, and now Basan2 in Asia , this was a short but really amazing little season, which certainly was the most unique, may be some day you should plan a future season covering the whole country especially riding through he villages exploring the more unknown areas India is so huge and diverse a whole year wont be sufficient for that
I began watching your adventures a few months ago and have been inspired. I will be finishing a motorcycle trip I started over thirty years ago but didn't finish as the bike burned up in the mountains just south of Dubrovnik in what was then Yugoslavia. I will be riding a Royal Enfield. Will pick it up in England. This time I will make it to Athens. Good luck on you're adventures. You handle the traveling alone by motorcycle quite well. I found it isolating, languages, etc. Of course there was no internet or social media to keep in touch. The pictures from those trips are in the scrapbook and framed on walls. Time to finish the trip. It wasn't the only trip. I traveled thousands of miles over many months crisscrossing Europe from the Grampian Mountains of Northern Scotland almost to the Russian border (at the hight of the cold war I might add. Really interesting) but on the run to Athens the bike burned up. It was a 650 Yamaha Great bike. My fault the electrical system burned up. Rode it too hard and the magneto burned everthing up. I know the exact spot where the bike gave up and will return there and take a then and now photo. Take care. Best of luck.
A wonderful trip around many places in India. Thanks Noraly- how wonderful are the Indian people, flora, fauna, animals and culture. Incredible done all on a bike- I am in awe. I can’t wait for the return to Southern Africa 🎉
I am sure this must be the most awaited vlogs for all the Himalayan would be buyers... Such extensive ride across all the various terrains, who better than to give the actual verdict than Noraly... Himalayan fanboys be like 🙌🙌❤️❤️
Giving up the bike and leaving India at the same time must be quite emotional for her. Anyone else who's with her on this journey all through India up until this video 🙋🙋♀️
Thanks Noraly, for showing the humble and clear conscience of the hearts of the people in rural India. As an Indian, I've seen many foreigners appreciate this part, but also many show distaste and disrespect.. God bless you. See you soon.. N. B. Was hoping ull be in our Goa for INDIA BIKE WEEK!.. but u said ur going to Africa..
Traveling with you is unforgettable. Thank you for all the laughter and fun times!... sad you’re leaving, but stoked you’re following your dreams.....waiting eagerly for the next journey.... Wish you safe travels, unforgettable experiences, and memories 😊😊 And India will be waiting for your nxt visit ✌✌may be again after 2/3 yrs.🙏🙏
Round two in India has been a most enjoyable viewing experience. I learned a lot! Also I think the new RE 452 may well be the best of the low displacement ADV bikes and a replacement for my DR650. Kind regards.
The electronics scare me. If the ecm goes out, it is over. That is the biggest fear I have with all these machines we have now. Once the electronic components start going, then it is anybody’s guess. Another thing is connectivity. What if someone hacked into their electronic system? I firmly believe that they can shut vehicles down remotely and if someone finds their way in there, guess what? Just saying. It looks like a great bike and royal enfield is listening to their consumers. I hope they revive their larger bullet bikes. There is a rumor that the 650 is going to find its way onto a bullet. If you make some suspension upgrades, then you have another adventure bike. Yes they are heavy, but noralee hit the nail on the head, they make them rugged. This is why they are so well loved.
Noraly, you are the perfect person to do this review as you are a rider first and foremost and are not going to be clouded by all the hype surrounding the latest bikes ie, performance stats or be worried about the wheelbase being 3mm shorter than last years model etc, etc....You just ride! and all the relavent things that most riders want to know about, ie, comfort levels, power, suspension, luggage carrying capacity, navigation, and all that, you give us, along with some stunning views and opening up a window on a world that most of us will not have the chance to see otherwise. I was interested in the old Himalayan but with this new one, I could be seriously tempted!
Une moto qui devrait se vendre comme des petits pains..... succès mondial assuré en 2024 Merci Noraly pour cette épopée indienne, qui nous a ravi le coeur au fil de tes rencontres .
It has been a wonderful excursion thru your beloved India. Having seen all of your episodes since the start with Basanti, it is amazing how much you have progressed in your talents of creating beautiful, informative and professional videos. You have thoughtfully created ( filming, editing and narrating) many enjoyable hours for this armchair adventurer. Best Wishes and Safe Travels! LET'S GO! Back to Africa! Can't Wait!! 💖💖🏍🤠

Very savvy of Royal Enfield letting you test ride their new model. Best advert they could have. Loved your India trip and I can see why you wanted to come back. What an amazing country and people. Can't wait for your next adventure.
That was an incredible break from Africa and I really loved your return to India as I did not follow you from your beginnings. The scenery in the mountains was stunning and I can’t wait to see what Africa brings under your wheels. Always great to follow you wherever you go!
Very detailed work with pros and cons. Enjoyed. The RE bikes are getting better and better. This one is even liquid cooled. They priced it properly also. Great. Got my like. Cheers. :)
Loved this India adventure. I've been to India a couple of times. I've always said I would love to explore India...Glad to piggy back on your adventures. As always, very well done. Cheers!
Probably that was the best motorcycle review I've ever seen and believe me as a double cancer patient who spends a lot of time in hospital, l have watched a thousand reviews 😊 But l wasn't surprised that your review would be the best, because you are probably the most experienced motorcycle traveller on UA-cam. Your adventure on the Himalayan across India was absolutely amazing 👏 l must confess that your courage and strength of personality has helped me so much during my chemotherapy Treatment and my 3 year battle with leukaemia and prostate cancer. Thank you Norely so much, you are a wonderful person, beautiful inside and out and a inspiration to all of us. MikeRider
@sidharthshivappa1359 thank you, l stared riding again last May on my Honda 500s. I grew up riding motorcycles and almost got signed by Aprilia to race bikes. I get tired easy because of all my treatment but I'm looking forward.

You may not have been a motorcycle reviewer before this video....but you are now. A great summary of the bike from a users point of view NOT a cynical motorcycle 'hack'.
A great way to fill in a monsoon season: enduro riding in Slovenia and Himalayan 452 riding across northern India. Beats the clutch slipping knee deep African highway mud, which has hopefully dried out a bit by now.
Honestly this is the perfect review for this motorcycle and thank you for telling me everything i wanted to know. Me, being in India all my life have never seen these regions and as always you inspire me to explore my beautiful country and beyond! Im convinced the new Himalayan is the perfect machine for that!
Thanks for the comparison and your thoughts on the new version of the Himalayan! A very nice ride down the mountain with beautiful views. Your videos never cease to amaze me. Ride safe Noraly and hope all is going well in West Africa!
Hi Noraly, It was just over three months in India and for me, who did not know the country, it was an open encyclopedia thanks to your excellent videos, I had the opportunity to get to know places, people, animals, customs, foods and a country unique in its characteristics... Thank you, thank you very much for giving me that opportunity and for doing it in such a professional way... Without a doubt, Royal Enfield will be very satisfied with your very objective, technical and detailed summary from your point of view as a user of the new model. My motorcycle is a BMW, since in Brazil Royal Enfield has practically no market share, something that will most likely change in the near future. Good return to Africa and to the punished but noble Honda ALASKA, which I hope can continue your adventure on that great continent with complicated countries that you will have to cross. Let this absence on your part be brief, but take all the time necessary to return 100% with energy to face that adventure again! TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF!!!!
This journey of you in India always adored me from day 1... besides all the experiences about rugged adventure and thrill, on a contrast note, you've always expressed everything in most charming way possible. It really did win over our hearts. Always interested to watch you visit India again!!!
Fantastic series in an amazing country, really enjoyed it,and absolutely love the new Royal Enfield Himalayan, such a massive improvement on an already popular bike.
I just discovered your channel and I'm already feeling addicted to your vlogs, the energy and vibe you radiate is amazing. Love how casually you connect with random people. I wish you good luck for your upcoming adventures. I'll surely be watching your vlogs on a regular basis, peace ❤
The flickering is a normal thing... need to find the display hertz and change the Shutter Speed until you find the match. Now, also you could use a ND filter to fix the problem. In fact the problem in not on the bike display and yes the camera type you are using if you can not adjust the S Speed. Also, make sure that the display of the bike is the same on hertz (NTSC for USA Electricity or PAL-M for Europe) The camera must much the NTSC format or PAL of you will never get the problem fixed. 50Hz the flickering effect goes unnoticed by the human eye - the key word being human. The camera’s eye (its sensor) can still see this flicker. If you synchronize your camera to the electrical frequency of the lighting, you are basically telling your camera to only take pictures of the ON portion of each cycle within the frequency. So how do we do achieve synchronization? There are two options: 1. If your camera has this option, simply match your camera’s frequency with the electrical frequency of your environment. 2. You can sync your shutter speed to the electrical frequency of your environment. One more thing SUPER important! SHUTTER ANGLE, always set your Shutter Angle double the frame rate (if you are filming at 50fps your shutter angle should always be 100, SUPER important.
India is an absolutely incredible country. When I look at the world map, I cannot see another country with this much diversity and history. And it is ONE country. That's a great HUMAN achievement.

Ms Noraly, thank you for this excellent rider review. So many bike reviews are technical, not easy to decipher. I understood all of your bike review and your cinematic concerns and wish to compliment your clean, clear communication skills. This new Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 has much more to wish for than the older, smaller bike, especially for bigger guys. Thank you for sharing this review and your empathetic concerns for those who are less bike-technical. I have watched you, subscribed early, since your initial India and journey back to the Netherlands. I too am a long time biker, experienced with Honda and Harley Davidsons. I am considering the purchase of a lighter, double duty, tarmac/dirt road, bike. I have considered the Yamaha, the Honda and now, this bigger REH 452, thanks to you. I too have traveled the globe, learned to speak multiple languages, learned that so many cultures and people can be kind and generous…precisely as you continue to present the world’s average, normal people. Thanks again, from East Tennessee, USA.
Noraly is an experienced rider. She has ridden a significant variety of roads, trails & off-trail places around the globe. Noraly has also ridden with friends & colleagues in a variety of countries & circumstances. I’m not a rider. But I enjoy her riding experiences & commentary. I have no doubt that riding enthusiasts will find her comments of value. Nice to see you close out this video on a dirt road with the locals doing what they need to do to get by & your narrative of what is going on in the region you are travelling. Your 2023 India adventure was a fantastic success. Looking forward to your next video.
Hey Noraly. Fantastic series and for me an eye opening learning experience. Sorry that it has to end but knowing that you also have unfinished adventures back in Africa. Thank you once again for the stunning scenery and the introduction to so many wonderful people that you met. Also thanks for your fair and objective look at the Himalayan452. I think RE have another winner on their hands. Your videos and ongoing commentaries are always a pleasure . Cheers and stay safe. Dan ✌️🏍🇨🇦
We will miss you, Thanks for the beautiful memories to cherish and visit these places again. We saw different parts of India through your videos. All the best for next adventure !!!
I liked the video and I already want to buy this bike as soon as I can. But... does anyone not like you? You're full of empathy, you don't take yourself too seriously, you know how to laugh at yourself... and you're cute! You gained another subscriber, lovely lady.
It was a real pleasure following you on this journey! You did an excellent job of giving us a vicarious experience of northern India, both the natural beauty AND the fascinating cultures and peoples. I look forward to your return to Africa.
This series is a great one. The terrain she rode through is an awesome way to test an experimental bike. She gave an honest review of the bikes workings good or bad. When Royal Enfield gets the bike back. They will strip it down to the bare frame and measure every part of the bike including the engine and transmission. What would be really amazing is when they put the bike back together. They give the bike to her.
Noraly, I'm wathcing your channels for years now, and I'm confident that you are just as competent as a reviewer (especially for this bike) as any other motorcycle journalist out there. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the new model, and safe journey to Africa! :)
Thank you very much, a report like this is worth more to me than that of reporters who drive for fun. I only ride a motorcycle (cruiser) and am looking for a second bike for winter and bad weather. the Himalayan, or the new Triumph Scrambler 400 - that is the question. And another big compliment, I've been watching the channel for a long time, I was on the road myself for 15 years (not with bike). I like your confident way of dealing with other cultures respectfully and authentically and also portraying these cultures. Best wishes from Germany!
Royal Enfield has come a long, long way. Any endorsement from Noraly has to be worth millions of dollars to them. Bravo to Noraly for the review and to R-E for allowing her to use the bike on her latest series.
I really had a fantastic time exploring India through your videos for the second visit and I'm sure that you'll do it again. What a Motorcyclists Heaven!!! God Speed in your continued journey in Africa.. 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦😘😘😘👍👍👍
Thank you Noraly, it’s been amazing to see India and especially the Himalayas and road along on the screen. I really love to just watch you ride and see the scenery, the traffic and all the people going about their daily lives. Amazing.
My sister Norali, I am from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and I have been a keen follower of your channel for 4 years. I hope with all my heart to visit the Riyadh season, after completing the Africa trip, and see your travels within the Kingdom, and I wait for the completion of your return to Africa. Thank you for the fun and beauty of the channel. May you always be well.❤️❤️❤️🇸🇦🇸🇦🇸🇦
I would say that was a great overall perspective on the 452, especially because it's based on personal long term usage on various terrain and elevations. Yet another fun and informative video drop. Thanks for sharing India with us. Waiting to get back to Africa with you.
Your camera (most likely) has an anti flicker feature setting. This changes the capture timing to match the timing of displays, like a TV or computer monitor or a florescent light, as different parts of the world time these things differently. So when you have an issue like you do with the dashboard of this moto, try the other setting to see if it syncs up with the display. This is from the GoPro Hero9 manual page 93- Setting Your Connections + Preferences- Anti-Flicker Choose the regional frame rate for recording and playback on a TV. Set 60Hz (NTSC) for North America. Try 50Hz (PAL) if you’re outside of North America. The right format for your region will help prevent flicker on a TV/HDTV when you play back video that was recorded indoors.
Anti-flicker is about frame rate, whereas the problem lies with the shutter speed ;) I tried to explain that in the video haha but maybe it’s too technical. You can’t fix this problem in camera settings unfortunately (without over or underexpose your footage)
@@ItchyBootsit might have to do with the backlight of the screen. It pulses to simulate different brightness levels, and it might even change dynamically to adjust for ambient light levels. If the display is set to maximum brightness and any auto-dimming is turned off, then it might be easier to film it.
Anti flicker is about syncing with the frequency of the local power grid which also should sync the cameras exposure to the frame draw rate of TVs and monitors. If you are not syncing this setting to the local country you are in then you will at times, depending on location, have flicker... It's a setting -far to few- youtube vloggers know about, I see tons of flickering video out there... I wish you were still with the bike so you could try both 50hz and 60hz settings to see if one solves the issue.... I'm not trying to argue, just trying to offer a bit of tech help...
I noticed the problem was appearing in the bright sunlight, but not in the shade, in the bright sun the camera is going to use a very short shutter open duration, thus not keeping it open long enough for the gauge to draw the image completely. So, as commenter just above suggested, if the anti flicker setting doesn't solve it then set the anti flicker to the country's power grid and then try using a neutral density filter and if it helps put the camera in semi auto exposure to keep the long shutter opening and then choose the neutral density filter that keeps the F stop in a good place. As a side note, thank you so much for enriching my life with some 600+ epic videos. Cheers.
I went to check the bike out today after binging your India videos. They’re expected to arrive in Bangalore late Jan - mid-Feb. Cant wait to have one of my own! Thanks for sharing such an incredible trip. You’ve given me some great ideas for planning the next adventure!
Dear Noraly, I have just caught up with all your vlogs starting at Season 1. I must say how much I have learnt from them and thoroughly enjoyed your company and tenacity. Take care and thank you.
Sad to learn that this is end of yours Road Trip in India. Yours Himalayan Mountain Region of India still remain unfinished since you have skipped UT Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh State, Uttarakhand State, Sikkim State, North Bengal Region of West Bengal State and Arunachal Pradesh State. Thanks So much Noraly for revisiting our Country. It was wonderful India series which you have explored in yours this leg of yours journey.

You basically sold me the original 411, which has been a proud companion on many adventures.
definitely, only the person who was able to ride a truly long distance in a various conditions can tell all about pros and cons of the model
Thanks Noraly for the review and including all of us on your journey!
as they say "its never too late for an adventure ".. best of luck sir
Just stay at home and enjoy with ur grandchildren.
I was never a RE fan, but after watching your videos I'm now totally fallen in love with the bike.. The content you share with us is amazing. I'm happy I started following you. You showed us so much about India that I haven't seen myself. Already a big fan.
Sad that the Indian episodes came to an end. What an amazing country. I hope you will go back there and explore all of India
have you tried season 1?

With only 15hp gain, it was not worth the chance on buying a not tested engine and the 411 in which Noraly couldn't break it
@JohnDavis-ol7qg I don't think she's BUYING the bike.
I AGREE WITH YOUR TAKE ON RELIABILITY.
Yes she is brilliant at it (as well as being probably the best qualified and experienced to have an opinion)!
Hello Noraly, has riding that lovely Himalayan influenced your choice of bike back in Africa?
@@markmark2080 yes I guess that’s sensible as she said to lift the H 452 would probably be too much for her to do alone..

+infinity for that. No better brand ambassador one can think of across the globe!
I think you will find 'paid her' to ride the bike to be the correct expression.

The first part if fails to impress not only by the magnificence of the landscape covered, which at times the drone footage alone rendered Noraly virtually invisible even on a giant screen, then there is something seriously wrong with that commenter. @@davidmarsh9897 count me in that too. I was really on the edge of my saddle a few times. But out of all of that one question I was left with was what are the people in Africa riding?

You will be perfectly alright soon and you too will be riding a bike 👍

Hi Noraly,
It was just over three months in India and for me, who did not know the country, it was an open encyclopedia thanks to your excellent videos, I had the opportunity to get to know places, people, animals, customs, foods and a country unique in its characteristics...
Another wonderful journey!! Thanks again for taking us along. Fascinating country and people. Best, Jim
What an adventure. Thanks also to Royal Enfield. They made an excellent bike and what better ambassador to showcase it.
Love how you respect everyone and appreciate the local culture around you, even in passing!
India is an absolutely incredible country. When I look at the world map, I cannot see another country with this much diversity and history. And it is ONE country. That's a great HUMAN achievement.
Never go there and get in one of those three wheel cabs, they will scare you "a" off..
China, russia, egypt ,italy . . . just the couple ones from top of my head .

What an experience you have had in India. Thank you for sharing them with us. ❤
You're a gem. Thank you for unveiling the hidden history of beautiful India.
The Triumph 400 is not as good in bad weather as the Himalayan.
But its more suited to higher top speeds and better ride position.
@@thebestevertherewas Why is the Himalayan better in bad weather?
Thanks for this Noraly! You are the best! Good luck in Africa! Can't wait to see you there again!!!

I bought a RE interceptor directly because of Noralys review of these bikes.❤❤❤
Thank you Noraly, it’s been amazing to see India and especially the Himalayas and road along on the screen. I really love to just watch you ride and see the scenery, the traffic and all the people going about their daily lives. Amazing.
Always amazing. I've been watching for three years and each episode just keeps getting better. Thank you for taking us along!
India looks amazing, warm and friendly. I will never make it there but I feel I have seen a little bit of it thanks to you.😀
Why can’t you make it there? YOU can always.
Having had the 411 I find the upgrades to the new one seem brilliant. Can't wait to try this bike out. Thanks for the great video
This is from the GoPro Hero9 manual page 93- Setting Your Connections + Preferences-
Anti-Flicker
Choose the regional frame rate for recording and playback on a TV.
Set 60Hz (NTSC) for North America. Try 50Hz (PAL) if you’re outside of
North America. The right format for your region will help prevent flicker
on a TV/HDTV when you play back video that was recorded indoors.
Anti-flicker is about frame rate, whereas the problem lies with the shutter speed ;) I tried to explain that in the video haha but maybe it’s too technical. You can’t fix this problem in camera settings unfortunately (without over or underexpose your footage)
@@ItchyBoots ND filter could do the trick? This would force the camera to adjust the shutter speed slower in brighter days.
Cheers.
For someone who doesn’t do reviews you did a excellent job at reviewing this bike 😊
It's sad to see your India adventure end. But hey, bring on West Africa again! I'm living vicariously through you. Can't wait!
