Very true about the OEM manual making it seem as if the opposing can loves are from the can sprocket side. I was scratching my head for an hour trying to put my Yamaha R6 motor back together.
I gotcha, I actually got it running yesterday. Couldnt have done it without your video. It is in major need of a valve adjustment. I reckon ill be buying a shim kit when I got the cash.... Thanks for your advice. And Thanks for your videos, couldnt have done it without them. Ill get a video once I get everything back together, and tuned up. Thanks again. K.C.
THANK YOU FOR THE TIMING SECTION OF THIS VIDEO HOLY CRAP. Factory service manual is great but seeing it from other angles in full color and being able to compare to be triple sure makes me worry less before thumbing the start button when I get it back together.
I'm so impress the detail, and trick of trade. very particular in every way. Thank you very much for sharing this 4 part of your video. I got 1986 yamaha fazer700. I'm little bit confuse setting up the timing mark of the camshaft and sprocket hole alignment on it. Can you give tech. support to get my bike start running? Once again I do appreciated your kindly consideration to this matter.
Hello, I see you know everything around the engine, would I take some time to explain to my yamaha fzr 1000 how to put my head up, more precisely how to sort the valves of that little pad, I would appreciate you a lot
I have a problem with FZR1000,93, the first exhaust branch is less heated than the other three and I can not put it on the point of ignition when I put the chain tensioner start to move to late
Hello sir I have an exact same year as that one and i was wondering. When everything is at top dead. For some reason. When trying to put on the cams in the right position. The end part of the cams seems to not sit in propetly. Is that how it suppose to be?
hey rip! did you by chance swap the fairings from the ‘01 r6 to your ‘02 r6? I currently own a 2002 R6 with the exact same color orange that was painted from original racing blue. I haven’t been able to find any other yamahas with the orange that are aren’t aftermarket fairings. Mainly asking out of curiosity
I know you anxious to fix and ride the bike .But with all the work to get as far as you have,it would be bad advice to assure you it would be ok to leave it out.Huge amount or torque and isolation takes place under load the guides are necessary. A massive catastrophic engine failure could occur and prob will.Buy what ya need and post a vid of the completed work.good luck.
I don't know if the cylinder head srew sockets (ones that holds camshaft cage) in the cylinder head are opened on the bottom but I gues they are not and oiling the srews can cause cracks in this srew socket due to a high pressure.
Hello Ripper, Thanks for the video!! I just need to change the chain etc. I just wanted to ask if its possible to leave the camshafts on and just remove the sprockets instead. BTW I have FZ6 (2008). I suppose its similar
I hate to even ask this because of the comments im going to get, I know all parts are made for a reason, but is the exhaust side cam chain guide 100 percent necessary? I have all my parts to put the bike I bought taken apart back together, except for this one guide, From the looks of it, when the chain is tight, it doesnt have much risk of hitting anything, unless my tensioner fails or the chain breaks... in which case im probably screwed anyways.... what you think ripper bones?
I need some help with the issue I'm having if you can I take care of my bike very well one day I noticed that was making some art sound like AV twin or gurgling noise off the exhaust replace one coil and had the valve done to it they didn't pick up any issues on the dyno but it still makes a noise if you can can you please watch my video and tell me what do you think
ey man i got a question about this bike ,, cuz i got the same one and when i start going and press the full gas it just starts farting and just doesnt go .. when i give lower gas goes better .. and doesnt top more then 10thousand on takometr

Hello question 1999 R6 can I put her 2008R6 engine
Was that a brand new CCT? I was told by others that OEM CCTs dont spring back. I have a 04 R6 and need a new CCT but dont want a manual one.
