Hi, great review thank you. However can you explain why certain features and models of the car is not available in the UK? For example the new 4D burmister sound system which is one of the new top features. Thanks
Great question - features and specifications vary by country and the UK spec tends to be based on what option combinations have been most popular or commonly grouped together over the years. For example, heated seats are hugely popular in the UK so every new Mercedes-Benz gets them as standard here. The equipment will always vary slightly over the course of the product life cycle so we may see new features being made available for the UK in the months and years ahead. This is just the start of the journey for our new S-Class.
Hi, does this car have rear seat massage function? Also most importantly, does it have rear axle/wheel steering in UK? I'm considering to get s400d L or s500 L 4 matic, Thanks.
Those two options are currently only available with the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class. Keep an eye out for specification changes for the S-Class as new features are always added throughout the life-cycle of the model.
EQS gets rear-axle steering as standard on all models and rear seat massage function is included as part of the Rear Luxury Lounge package which can be added to the Exclusive Luxury equipment line - it may be one to consider.
My only question is that which car is overall best experience,Bmw 7 series,Audi A8 or Mercedes Benz S class?
Strong competition is good competition. The A8 is a truly lovely place to be and the 7-series has always been a cool car with undeniable road presence.
Car Magazine got them all together with the Porsche Panamera for the March 2021 issue and finished off their group test by saying "Close, but there's only one S-Class. Right here we have four fine cars, one of which is a quite remarkable continuation of an unrivalled heritage."
When speccing the S-class online, there is no option for a rear seat entertainment system, i.e. the two screens. Is this option not available to Mercedes UK customers?
yh I was going to ask the same question as I couldn't find it either.
There is currently no option for rear seat entertainment in the UK.

@@sunilnijran1515 It was a tremendous but rare option to have on the previous generation S-Class - I've only come across three with rear seat entertainment! On the new model it does appear on the four seat versions so we may see it on the new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class when that arrives later this year.

Everything should have soft closing doors.
Was that S Class a rear steer 10% you drove I am looking at picking one up next year. I know the roads you drove down I lived in Bishops Stortford
Currently, rear wheel steering is only available for the Mercedes-Maybach S 580 4MATIC in the UK. Rear wheel steering is something I always like to see on a car so I do hope it comes to the rest of the S-Class range. Model year updates will often see new specifications and features added to the car, we may well see some new features joining the range this time next year.
@@LandLAutomotive Many thanks for your reply, however i have seen reviews from Mercedes showing the S Class having the 10% rear steer. I am somewhat confused as Mercedes are saying to me yes it has 10% but dealers in the UK saying No ?
@@margem10001 Unfortunately it is currently only for the Mercedes-Maybach models in this market at the moment.
We get a specification tailored to the UK customer base - AMG Line, ambient lighting, keyless, etc. all as standard - but for now all-wheel steering is not included in that list.
Fingers crossed, I would love to see the car with this feature and we have had a lot of interest in it so far. The car does move along brilliantly feeling stable as it goes down the road; my experience with all-wheel steering is lightning fast turn in and agility that could rival most sports cars.

Good review, but I would have preferred a more factual approach based around the car, not your philosophical meanderings. If you’re spending £5 on a pair of sunglasses, you’re not really the sort of person who would be buying or leasing this car. Good sunglasses are essential to slow down the formation of cataracts from exposure to ultraviolet radiation. The best, Serengeti, will also enhance your visual acuity in bad weather. Do yourself a favour and spend £200+ on some Serengetis. When you’re 50+ you’ll be glad you did.

I am yet to spot this car on the road.
The car we used was the first new S-Class for our group - it had only been in the country for a couple of days when we grabbed the keys. Hopefully you'll be seeing a few of these on the road very soon!
A super super car,but way to much talking about yourself, the soft closing doors.
Nothing really about the stuff on or in the car.
And a tip for you, when your editing a video don’t wear you watch, because during the video the time was going all over the place.
