I was quite a bit skeptical about the design when the car was first introduced, but I have to admit that after seeing one in person a few days ago I loved it. It actually looks very very good , especially in black.

We‘ll see what the costumer experience will be after 1-2 years of ownership. Thats when quality starts to show off. But i‘m psyched for the new 7 series to match this one, it‘s a new era of cars.
Screens don’t equal luxury in my opinion, the more screens they add the more tacky it looks. But it’s an S class at the end of the day so I’m sure it’s a beautiful car to drive
If you think about it the V8 is a bit too much considering you can legaly use it to the max on the autobahn (or a track which i think nobody will use it on besides nurbugring maybe) so the 6 cylinder is enough power for most of the world
I wish I could get this new tech in an older car. Technology advances amazingly but the beauty doesn't appear to me until their at least 10 years old. I just love the w209 right now

This car doesn't seem as opulent as an S-Class should and technology wise there's no major breakthrough from the W222 except for excessive screens and over the top ambient lighting that could induce seizures in some people

C43 used to be a 4.3 V8, 600 was for 6.0 V12s and now it's a V8 in the GLS 600 & etc. The numbers don't indicate displacement anymore, they are merely just to distinguish between higher and lower models. Many carmakers are doing this, but it seems to be a particularly big deal for the S-Class.
can we take a moment and talk about the windshield wipers that when he was going 200+ they were moving faster and when he started to slow down they were moving slower?
This car doesn t have that leg rest on the backseats because is a short version, not the long one. You can have that “bed” option in the rear right seat even with a 5 seat config if the s class is a long version!
In my opinion the older w222 looked better and the new one has just too many screens and no buttons. Even the speedometer doesn't have its own chamber and instead is a screen popping out into the face. Looks like the sets of a sci fi film. They're selling us electronic gadgets in the name of engineering and we keep buying it.
