To understand the 2300 day prophecy, one would have to be fully aquainted with the norms and culture of Daniel's day, and his method of calculating times, dates and seasons. But The Word says: "And he (Jesus) said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power"(Act. 1:7). Not even Jesus, who knew the Law and the Prophets very well, would commit himself, to dates for these events (Matt. 24:36). I have heard many theologians and bible teachers comment on the books of Daniel, Ezekiel and Revelation, but none of them convincing. As for the SDA beginning: We know that Ellen & James White were followers of William Miller, who taught that Jesus would return in 1844, based on his (Miller's) understanding of the 2300 day prophecy. When Jesus didn't arrived many were disappointed, but the 1844 date, in Ellen White's estimation, was now interpreted to mean that Jesus had entered a second phase of "Sanctuary Cleansing" called the Investigative Judgement. Please understand that any continuation of the so called Sanctuary Cleansing would mean that Jesus' atoning work at Calvary was incomplete; a notion that is contrary to God's Word (Heb.9:24-28). The doctrine of the IG is by far more insulting and dangerous than the failed prophecy of Christ's return, because it brings into question the timing and effectivenes of Jesus' sacrifice, and who the atonement was meant for. I advise that you renounce Adventism and it's works based docrines, and accept Christ's free gift of salvation through repentance and faith.

Very good I have read Ms Whites book. It does have a lot of history in it about the church in which I did enjoy. I can not go along with all of it. I do honor the sabbath day in which is Saturday. Walter I enjoy your stand for the truth. I love to hear people stand for Christ. We are not all alike we all have our own convictions and mine was was the fourth commandment which I get a lot of strange looks from other Christians yet I attend Sunday church when I can.
I agree....she plagerized pretty much everything she wrote...she's not even close to being called a prophetess..I went to an SDA church for a little over 3 years and really started to question their weird doctrines...they didn't like that and like the JW's they don't want you reading or looking into anything else other than their stuff...I left especially when they started to push EGW...basically it's almost like they idolize her over Jesus Christ....

When I went to The Seventh-Day Adventist Church I noticed after praying the people in the church wear gray. I asked God why those people look great to me and he told me because there spiritually void. I also attended a woman's meeting after the church that they had to have that Sunday and I thought I was in a vigilante meeting and I was treated like horrible when I asked a question cuz I didn't understand.
All the theologians in the Seventh Day Adventist Church are taught from the teachings of Ellen White. I heard more preached from the pulpit on Ellen White's teaching then I heard from the Bible.

Very soon Satan will impersonate Jesus Christ and claim to have changed God's law. Read Exodus 20:1, 8-11, Psalm 87:34, Daniel 7:25 then read a Catholic Catechism. You will see that the RCC claims to have changed God's law. Daniel predicted the change roughly 1000 years prior to the change. Rev. 12:9 says that Satan "deceived the whole world". The Bible was written for the believer, not the unbeliever. If you keep Sunday instead of Saturday you are one of those who have been deceived. Adventism has a different interpretation and meaning for conventional christian terminology. Terms like the atonment, justification, salvation, grace, etc have a different meaning to Adventists. To understand the 2300 day prophecy, one would have to be fully aquainted with the norms and culture of Daniel's day, and his method of calculating times, dates and seasons. But The Word says: "And he (Jesus) said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power"(Act. 1:7). Not even Jesus, who knew the Law and the Prophets very well, would commit himself, to dates for these events (Matt. 24:36). I have heard many theologians and bible teachers comment on the books of Daniel, Ezekiel and Revelation, but none of them convincing. As for the SDA beginning: We know that Ellen & James White were followers of William Miller, who taught that Jesus would return in 1844, based on his (Miller's) understanding of the 2300 day prophecy. When Jesus didn't arrived many were disappointed, but the 1844 date, in Ellen White's estimation, was now interpreted to mean that Jesus had entered a second phase of "Sanctuary Cleansing" called the Investigative Judgement. Please understand that any continuation of the so called Sanctuary Cleansing would mean that Jesus' atoning work at Calvary was incomplete; a notion that is contrary to God's Word (Heb.9:24-28). The doctrine of the IG is by far more insulting and dangerous than the failed prophecy of Christ's return, because it brings into question the timing and effectivenes of Jesus' sacrifice, and who the atonement was meant for. I advise that you renounce Adventism and it's works based docrines, and accept Christ's free gift of salvation through repentance and faith.

Very good I have read Ms Whites book. It does have a lot of history in it about the church in which I did enjoy. I can not go along with all of it. I do honor the sabbath day in which is Saturday. Walter I enjoy your stand for the truth. I love to hear people stand for Christ. We are not all alike we all have our own convictions and mine was was the fourth commandment which I get a lot of strange looks from other Christians yet I attend Sunday church when I can.

When I went to The Seventh-Day Adventist Church I noticed after praying the people in the church wear gray. I asked God why those people look great to me and he told me because there spiritually void. I also attended a woman's meeting after the church that they had to have that Sunday and I thought I was in a vigilante meeting and I was treated like horrible when I asked a question cuz I didn't understand.
