DIY TRACTION BARS! 6.0 POWERSTROKE
Вставка
- Опубліковано 6 бер 2021
- In this video we put together and weld on our diy traction bar set up. This 6.0 powerstroke turbo diesel will not have any form of axle wrap after these go on. Everything through ballistic fab is top notch quality. Welding the brackets and tabs on, now we wait to go get the bars powder coated!

Been while since iv watched. I see your growing that's awsome!!!!!
Super cool, I vote orange for the powder coat color
Very cool!
Got my sweatshirt today, looks killer 🤟🏼😎
Heck yea! Thank you!
Thank's explication
Black great video
Where did you get your flow prow exhaust from
how much did it cost for all the parts?
It's been a year, how is this setup working out? Any excessive wear or things you'd change if you were to do it differently?
How long did u go for the trac bars?
How long are the track bars?
Nice bars, turn heat up a tad or wire speed down some, weld will likely lay flatter
Looking back now, wire speed needed to by higher for sure. Still learning, and getting better 💪💪
@@LeftLaneDiesels I think it's a bit fast, it'll roll and do that rise with to much wire, start with less wire and work your way up, welds will turn out nicer that way, not trying to sound smart, just some advice!
@@mystycim mush respect! I appreciate it
@@LeftLaneDiesels my Welder I got to try out doesn't have wire speed adjustment on it so I'm suffering, but some more practice with using it and I might get lucky.
Very nicely done !.. Except the welding , shoulda had somebody else do that !
Some welds look better than others, I’ve never claimed to be the best welder. But I know what it takes to have strength, which is why I have the confidence to complete tasks like this. The only way to get better at welding is to spend time welding. Thanks for the comment!
So I'm guessing that truck only driven on the street. I don't understand having a four-wheel drive and hang a big anchor underneath it
The traction bars are 2"x1/4" wall DOM ?
Yes. 2inx1.5in ID .250 wall
Hey buddy I got a question. I know it’s not traction bar related but oh well lol. On my 04, about 70% of the time no matter if the engine is warmed up or not, if I take off from a stop light per day, my turbo will not engage at all for a couple hundred feet or so and my truck will sound like a regular V8 then all of a sudden it will kick in hard and then be back to normal. Do you think it’s just some carbon build up and the turbo needs to be cleaned and a rebuild kit or I have a problem?
Probably carbon in your unison ring causing the vanes to stick open. If you have an sct you can watch the vgt actuation % in the gauge menu, it should go between 0.15 and 0.80 at least.
Wish you would have shown a side view of it installed.
Thanks for the reply, just gotta wait till the bars are powder coated! 🤘💪
Does the shorty have trac bars ?
Yes it does! Check out the playlist!
Should do a single turbo 6.4 build
The 6.4 engine is the worst engine Ford ever had in a truck. If you plan to own one, you better have deep pockets.
The 6.4 can make big power cheaply . But it doesn't last very long lol. Very very deep pockets required
@@LeftLaneDiesels if you’re building a truck for power a 6.4 is the way to go and they will last.
@@10mm69 they have serious valvetrain and bottom end issues in stock form. Not to mention front cover cavitation, radiator failures, cab bushings, bed plate leaks, k16 failures etc.. They must be built from the bottom up to be reliable long term.
@@LeftLaneDiesels anytime you’re building a truck for power you should build from the ground up I built a little single turbo 6.4 842whp and beat it daily with no issues. Love my 6.0s but there wasn’t many that could keep up with it on small street tune
Showwwww
I would never weld to my frame as they are heat treated and will weaken the frame if welded.
Aren't you supposed to not weld on the frame? I thought truck frames were heat sensitive.
On class 8 truck aka semis the frames are heat sensitive. These trucks are not
@@LeftLaneDiesels 👌
Damn! those look 10 times better then the ones ive been mockin up, guess i better step it up and shop somewhere other then the trailer section at tractor supply! Not a fan of those procraps? lol What would it take to get you to fab up a set for a extcab sb lifted 8 inches been holding off over a year, hoping if i change out clutches in diff maybe cure most my traction issues, you would think a 7k lb f350 on 37x13s diesel wouldn't have issues, its worse then my boosted ls camaro on bald radials
I’d be willing to fan a set for your truck, if you want dm me on Instagram and we can chat about it. @left_lane_diesels
Hey bruh I don’t see where I can do a 1 time donation or is it just patroon. I put over 30k in mine and it’s hard to come by that kind of money that being said a race truck build would b awesome
Much respect! Yeah you can make a one time donation to my patreon account!
@@LeftLaneDiesels how do I do it. Then I’ll give you a donation tomorrow.
I ordered up pipes am I gona get a comformation email and a tracking number so I can track it please thank you
Thank you! Yes as soon as they ship out you will get updated with tracking information 💪🤘
When will you ship my up pipes
@@motorheadmike2010 your set will be going out today. You will be emailed shipping information shortly.
I don't know where your skill set is but it is definitely not welding
And yours is not knowing when to shut the fook up.
Those are not hiem joints....
Frame end is hiem, axle end is bushing
@@LeftLaneDiesels the frame joint is a ballistic or Johnny joint style bushing, the axle ide is a poly bushing...those are not hiem joints.
@@LeftLaneDiesels ua-cam.com/video/8V6MgnGm5p8/v-deo.html
@@matty86suk can you put poly bushings at both ends?
@@joshaudet yes
You don’t have your own powder coating rig? ... unsubscribed 🤣
😂😂😂
PLEASE DONT START SHILLING FOR MONEY like other channels! 2:40 mins! Please!
Agreed! 💪🤘 I promise I won’t, this was a one time update for those that were looking to join.
