Does the truck still run like factory. Because i installed some leaf spring clamps and it did stop the wheel hop but it made the truck very stiff

It definitely made it more stiff. But still feels good to drive

What keeps them from binding when suspension travels?

Your leaf springs already have a joint that cams as it depresses.
Ladder bars prevent the twist of the axle on the spring. But it will still have travel as it normally does.

He probably needs a shackle for his ladder bars so it can actually follow the curvature of the axle while going up and down but it seems like this truck doesn't do too much heavy towing with a lot of payload so I imagine that the Springs maintain the same position most of the time therefore the length of the ladder bar is fairly constant.
