After watching some videos showing axle wrap, I'm curious to know if they would also help with smoothing out the acceleration and deceleration jolts when shifting a manual. I can drive it like a limousine, but it takes a lot of concentration and I feel like I'm putting a lot more wear on my clutch when I do.
So I put the 7 1/2 inch rough country suspension lift on my 09 Chevy Silverado with 20 x 12 -44 Moto metal 970s and 35 12 1/2 klever rt and did the Norcal mod and it still rubs at full turn
I got an 08 2500 HD rado with a RC 6 inch lift . I'm running 35x12.5 Kanati mud hogs. And 16 inch ion alloys -38 offsets and no rub. You think its the 20_inch rims your running?

Ladder bars n traction bars are two different things but same concept but , ladder go to frame to axle, traction are just a under or over axle and connect to leaf springs and r a axle hop more than wrap ish but help on the not as good as ladder but cheaper 🤷🏻♂️

No intention to be antagonistic but m seeing real negative using them. The need is because of the lift or high lift, but the traction bars negate your clearance on the axles as well as the underside. Definitely cool looking I'll give you that. For racing its moot but out on the rocks the lost clearance can be a real problem leaving you stranded. Wouldn't the proper leaf springs to get rid of lift block while asl ridding you of the clearance issues with traction bars be a better choice? Am I getting this right?
@@majerstud as long as the mount on axle is on the top there is no difference. You can jack a truck sky high but you’re still gonna get hung up in a foot or two of mud cuz that’s how high the pumpkin of the axle is off the ground
last time i checked into getting some they are only recommended for a 5in lift or higher i would assume they sit pretty low and would prolly scrape (or come close to) on any less of a lift.

If you have the racer/offroad truck 454 with a kit putting it into a 492, or a 572, 632 etc. Then i would get detachable so you dont destroy the leafs. Before you ask. Yes, i am the type guy to buy a $1500 1990s 3500 dually and put a wide single slick tire with a 632 $12,000 engine into it.
I have their Tier 4 control arms on my 06 Ram 3500 and I love them so far. Flex like crazy when I disconnect the front sway bar, super easy to adjust and strong as hell. Priced right as well especially with Johnny Joints on both ends.
Traction bars are always a good addition under high powered trucks or trucks that are used the majority of the time to pull heavy loads. Whether you should add one to your build is up to you to decide if you are worried about the rear axle moving.
Does it make the suspension stiffer or does it make it ride like factory. Because i installed some leaf spring clamps andni did stop the wheel hop but it made the truck very stiff

steven moreno I hear ya 👍that’s kinda my point , all these lifts have block lifts for rear and maybe a add a leaf 👎 when you can find a 4-6” rear spring lift separate for about $200 for both , so you really end up paying for the front lift axle drop and what not for the IFS and shocks, ..... and here’s a couple blocks and u bolts worth $100 maybe 🤷🏻♂️ thanks 👍

Ok so I’ve got a 17 eco boost f-150 that has a lot of axle rotation and vibration. it’s tuned has a 3:73 ratio and 34” toyo RT’s on a bilstien 5100 set up. Tires are fairly well balanced as we’ve checked a couple times. Would traction bars work at a leveled height? It seems ridiculous looking at that height but like a old muscle car there is kinda no alternative other than new spring packs really? I’d be interested to see if anyone suffers the same highway vibrations and generally sloppy axle rotation on a relatively good shape f150 and if this has stabilized it some. No. Leafsprings and a four link is not leafsprings and a 'trac bar' . Leafsprings and trac bars use 1 shackle in stock location. Four link with leafsprings adds another shackle to the front of the leaf spring and is very rarely done. Usually four links themselves have coil or coilover springs and do not include the use of leafsprings.
I have HSPs traction bars and I can guarantee that they do help a lot! Def an amazing upgrade for people who tow a lot !
Short traction bars work just fine as long as they are made correctly mine are only 3ft long and I sled pull and drag race and I’m making around 1k hp

Depends on how much power your truck has. If you can feel your drive shaft hit the bottom of your truck, you need them.

Cody Banker exactly mine hops and its got 2inch drop shacks and 2 inch pucks so its pretty much level

What about roadmaster active suspension ?
RoadMaster is geared more toward adding load/ towing capacity. Not quite the same as true traction bars.
If I put the carli full leaf upgrade on my 3rd gen ram to get a smother ride will traction bars stiffen the ride ? Or will it still ride nice

How does this affect coil rear end setups?
Any coil or coilover rear suspension system would have rear control arms or link bars, thus eliminating the need for traction bars.
