I am excited to see the change.. it is always fun to drive the layout the first time.. and launch a car off the corner because you were not ready for it... good times...LOL
@@MPSlotCar your straight is not getting any longer so you should be good. You would enjoy my layout.. fast and good flow.. but one straightaway that you can really open up on..
Awesome video Massimo! That Ferrari 599xx is a nice looking car, love the color. Your layout is going to be even more fun after the changes! I look forward to seeing it when you are done. Cheers!
Great final slide in for that layout, changing those tyres you could instantly hear the car was going to be a lot better. I'm quite excited to do the Paul Gage comparison on my Capris now, but they'll have to wait a while, lots of other things to get done first :) Can't wait to see the track rebuild, I guess that means the entire leader board gets reset and you're going to have to re-run all your cars?
Thanks fellow slot head! I really tried to get that slide just right for the tracks send off 😂 Yeah the PGs run really well, I’ll have to try what Trav said and give them a light sanding. Isn’t that the truth? Always so much to do, so little time! Yeah that’s correct, I’ll have to rerun all the cars again for the leaderboard. Can’t wait to see how you get on with that NSR you got yourself. Cheers! 🏁
I cant thank you enough for posting this video. I have a 12x10 ft table and I am putting up a Lionel Super Chief train to run with my Carrera digital. That is a beautiful layout you have there. How big is your table? It looks pretty big.
I figured out that running many hundreds and hundreds of laps, with slot it cars, with non mag carreras, and normal carreras.....leads to all my cars going faster. Less crashing................for me the quick slicks are a little faster than Gage tires every back to back test. No truing or sanding with quick slicks/silicone tires. Super Tires work great also. Track changes IS good! My track is real hard to get under 7 seconds a lap with the last changes.
Hi Brad! Yeah the Quick Slicks are quicker for me as well. Put down some good laps with it, the lap record is a F1 with QS! But I’ve now switched to using QS at the club and PGs/urethane at home. I find every time I use the silicones it cleans the track and removes some of the grip put down. Won’t effect the car running with the QS. But every time I go back to a car with stocks or urethanes you can really feel there’s a lack of grip and they don’t achieve the times they were prior until a few hours of running again. Love the Silicones, but just sticking to the club tracks with em for now on my club runners.
@@MPSlotCar Out of the tires Ive tried, the Ortmanns absolutely stick, Ive only got them on one car, if they break loose they snap right back in line, make a different noise...I can get it up on 2 wheels and slam it down and keep going sometimes.....hard tires to get ahold of.... a box of small parts will be here today from LEB.
Just a random question do you have additional feeds on your track? i have a rough fly 12m or around 40 feet track. Power seems even and ok still. When do you need additional feeds and how long is your track?
Hi buddy. Currently there has been no jumpers installed on the track and it seemed to have a pretty good consistency of power. I am adding one now as I modify the track a bit just incase.
@@MPSlotCar Thanks for the answer. How long is your current track? I watched Slot Car News on UA-cam yesterday and he talked about jumper wires and he seems to know what he is talking about. He said you probably don’t need jumper wires until 80-90 feet track. And after that probably only one wire. Also if my English is a bit off, it is not my native tongue 😛. I live in Sweden 🇸🇪
I have found with most brands of cars the rears are useless for speed and the fronts are too large, one can reduce the diameter of the front if you have a tyre truing machine, Not everyone has one and it's good to keep the originals in case you decide to sell on before they perish
I'm surprised those original tires actually stayed on the wheel. I've had some in that condition that came off and beat the rest of the car to the finish line.
@@MPSlotCar Ive looked close at a PG tire, as I hold the wheels off the track and spin it up, they grow on the rim quite a bit, the soft PG's.....need to be glued on to the rim is what they say....these rubbed on the body as they grew.

@@twolinesslotcars I think what I need to do is take a drive one day and race on your track. Now that would be a fun fast track to drive on
Running the opposite direction is also like having a whole new track, gotta shake things up.
Been there. Done that. LOL.
Can’t wait to see the new layout! And installing the Omni Slotbox will open up so much with the analog cars. You’re going to have so much fun!
Thanks Dusty! Yeah I can’t wait to get the Omni installed! It’ll open up so much like you said.
Cheers buddy ✌🏼
Going to be epic . The bigger the better , and changing it up a bit keeps your interest going for sure 👍👍👍
That’s very true. Thanks buddy, cheers!
It's great layout already it can only get greater will look forward to the changes good luck and enjoy

Lol 😂 I wish I could use that space. I’m unfortunately confined to my corner…for now.
Maybe fit some lower profile low grip tyres to the front for your full throttle experience
There’s an idea to try! Thanks brother
