3:58 Can I just point out that that Mercedes came flying around the corner fast enough for it's tail to hit the barrier and knock itself out of the rail but then miraculously it's front then hit the wall and it bounced back into the rail so it could keep going without intervention.
That is a great thing to have. There was a Silverstone layout just like this as the centrepiece of the UK Slot Car Expo at Gaydon a few years ago, but nowhere near as detailed as this. Always good to start the vid with footage of a Rover SD1 Vitesse, and great way to end with a Porkie 956 - or is it a 962?
_On today's FailRace:_ _Alex gets nostalgic._ _There's a Slo-mo crash._ _And we see the latest addition to the Silverstone Museum._ (I really like what he showed us - that looks awesome!! Can't wait for him to do something like that in his own home!) (Maybe we should get him to do a FR museum? 😆)
If you're interested in trying slot car racing more seriously, I know for certain, as a club member of Rockingham Slot Car Club, that there's one just down the road from your neck of the woods in Corby, Northamptonshire - we welcome new racers to join us on Friday nights for scalextric style racing on a wooden track, and for lexan on metal chassis raceway style racing on Tuesday nights.
Is this the track that was at the scalextric museum ? i've been there some years ago and they had a silverstone track there , but it was still work in progress at that time .
Some fantastic detail in the track but having tried it myself they have missed a lot of tricks really, it could have been so much better, bit of a wasted opportunity to create something truly magnificent with the budget they had
why would oyou have to try and convince carly into letting you get a set up like that its your money your house and your cats would wreck that land scape in about one minute flat chasing them cars about lol
there is no challenge without your kitties providing obstacles.
They are the worst race marshals... ever.

Five seconds in I see a Rover SD1, I click like. Now on with the rest of the video.

Convert an entire floor of your house to a scale Nordschleife layout?
cool 👍

no track would be complete without portable toilets. 😅
If this track is intended to be public then man those poor cars are going to be messed up eventually
