I just wanted to let you know that your mic audio only comes out of the left ear on my earbuds, but Voiceplay's video's audio comes out of both. Its quite jarring to only hear you from one ear, lol. I thought you'd want to know that your mic audio is kinda scuffed in this video. Regardless, great reaction as always!
Thank you for an awesome reaction to Voice Play. Please put these three Voice Play covers on your list. 1. Dream On ( originally by Aerosmith ) Voice Play knocks it out of the ball park.. 2. Carry On Wayward Son ( originally by Kansas )...3. Queen In 5 Minutes...they also wrote 2 original songs years ago. Voice Play : one minute musical / Miley Cyrus.. the music & lyrics are by Geoff Castallucci &.It is hilarious. Also.. Voice Play : one minute musical /Lights Bulb, music & lyrics are by Layne the beatboxer/percussionist & Tony a former member. They did these songs back in 2015. Please do a reaction video to them. Especially the last two, they are short & you can do them both in one sitting. please,

This was arranged by Layne, the beatboxer. 🙂
From left to right, they were:
- Layne Stein, Beatboxer and baritone, founding member of the group (1997), arranges 50% of the songs
- Cesar de La Rosa, baritone, most recent permanent member added to VP
- J None, baritone, was a member, left in 2021 because enlisted in the Navy, still joins the group when on leave
- Eli ("Elly") Jacobson, tenor and high tenor, usually makes the lightings and the digital background in Unreal Engine
- Geoff ("Jeff") Castellucci, bass, founding member with Layne, arranges the other 50 % of the songs and has his own solo channel for "Low Bass Singer Covers".
They're an endless rabbit hole. 🙂

Geoff and Layne are the two founding members of the group (1997 right out of high school), originally called 4:2:Five, rebranded as Voiceplay in 2012. Hulda Draco has a lot of history on them on her YT channel.
They are just absolutely the best. They can sing any genre. If you have a favorite piece and you think no one can do it without ruining it - VP will say "Hold my beer" and knock your socks off.

VoicePlay are in a league of their own. Not just for the more theatrical videos they do but for their amazing arrangements and harmonies. And their voices of course. And the fact they do all of this themselves,from creating the sets, arranging, singing, filming,editing, and costuming. They cover songs you wouldn't expect to hear a capella and never disappoint. The "litle bald guy" is Eli, pronounced as Ellie, Eliezer Jaobson, master of riffs and runs, who has sung with a lot or rack bands. You can see a lot of their history in a video which they made during lockdownn Just Sing. It introduces you to all the artists they've worked with up to that date. Which means it doesn't include Cesar de la Rosa, (with all the hair) who joined the grou; after that date.
Eli (Rhymes with jelly: guy w/ beard) joined in 2010 - but the beard is relatively new and gives him a very different look. Layne (beatbox) arranged & did the video, and shared set design & direction credits with Tony Wakim, his partner at PattyCake Productions. Typically either Layne or Geoff claims each project and sees it through, and they each do roughly half of them.
Eli (guys with beard) is not new
He is in Voiceplay since 2010 !
From left to right are Layne, beatboxer, Cesar, JNone, Eli (pronounced like Jelly), and Geoff their bass. Geoff has new one out, where he clones self as usual to sing all parts, and it's "I See Fire" from the Hobbit. So freaking awesome. Groff has 5 octave range.
You have to look at Kurt Hugo Schneider FT. Voiceplay, "Waving Throu a Widow". It's just to enjoy Eli's voice there.

Voice Play are known as The Theater Kids of a capella. They are the best at what they do. The always stay true to the original while adding their own twist to the song. Geoff (Jeff ) Castallucci the low bass singer has his own channel. He loves to clone himself 3 or 4 times over & harmonize with himself beautifully. His cover of Shenandoah & Sounds Of Silence are so beautiful.

I love Voiceplay, they are as great as Home Free, you be amazed if you see more of their videos... They have done one video together, that I suggest you to see. From my perspective, the main difference between the two groups is the "staging", as I consider Voiceplay's videos more elaborate, both in costumes and makeup, even in the use of the camera. They have many songs that all your followers will recommend you, for my part I recommend you to watch the one of "Roadtrip"... by the way, if you decide to watch it I advise you to have some tissues at hand to dry your tears... they will not be of sorrow.

I half expected the video to be listed as a Quinn Martin production, like all the cheesy detective shows I used to watch in the seventies. Or maybe Joe Peschi would show up and whack somebody with a garden shovel. But then they beatboxed the drum solo, and everything was right again. By the way, everyone has a beard but Geoff the bass. All have been with the group for years. Layne the beatboxer got a solo portion and that is very unique. J None, in the pink blazer, is a featured player, but will probably rejoin the group when his service in the Navy ends, and has done A LOT.

Hard to out do Phil's Original release version. As good as VOICEPLAY ARE, their Voices are flat on this song. The song had a very deep emotional meaning. Dealing with Phil Collins ex wife.
I like Voiceplay and they're great in this one, as always, but for me the arrangement lacked some of the hard edge and passion that Phil Collins brought to the song. Kind of felt like the bland barber shop quartet version. Don't get me wrong, they didn't miss a note, but I think they had harmonic fills where there shouldn't have been, and at least one of them needed to turn it loose. Just didn't get there. Great reaction, as always, though. I agree, the beat-boxing was impeccable.
