♥Hello Beautiful Humans! Hope you are enjoying my reactions! If you have some time, here is my Music Channel➡ua-cam.com/users/SchnellJordanMusicvideos I would love some feedback 😀
Okay Miss Jordan when describing Geoff Castellucci in any way shape or form it's not oh my God or Jesus. It is an always astonishing and astounding HOLEYCHIT!!! Honest and truly all but two things he's done are absolutely amazing and that's not even counting the stuff he's done with voice play. Which I want you to review them next. But I need you to review two songs. The first is I Can't Help Falling in Love With You and then I Can't Make You Love Me. But I will also accept grim grinning ghosts the Oogie Boogie song from Nightmare Before Christmas and one of the greatest acapella songs ever created just sing. The only other time something like that has happened is when voice play went to the acapella summer camp where they did Journeys Don't Stop Believing. Followed by one of the smoothest songs Tennessee whiskey from Chris Stapleton.
Oh yeah and Geoff Castellucci is only one of a handful of people in the United States that can sing like that. It's called the sub harmonic range and if you want to get technical about it he literally can communicate with elephants at a great distance on the open Plains of Africa. Tim Foust can actually do this he's in the acapella Group Home Free. Avi I can't remember his last name from Pentatonix can also sing in the sub harmonic range but I don't think he is nearly as good or as deep at it as Tim Faust or Geoff Castellucci.
It's super easy to be impressed by Geoff's deeper range, but did you notice the harmonies? Geoff's voice goes well up into the tenor range as well as lower than most natural basses. He's worked for years to develop his voice in both directions, and his clear, beautiful upper register is a big part of what allows him to create the magic of this music. And that's without mentioning his genius arrangements! The guy is just ridiculously talented, and works so hard at his craft; he deserves all the acclaim.
@@DennisKovacich, no subharmonics were used in this cover... that was all chest voice. Even the final note was just a breathy chest note, with maybe a bit of fry around the edges.
Oh my goodness, you've missed a lot! I guess you just have to catch up with Geoff and we get to watch you do it!😁 He has put out a lot of amazing videos. He's done Shenandoah, Ain't No Sunshine, and just the other day he released Ghost Riders In The Sky. I can't wait for you to react to more Geoff!
hello schnell i agree with bob harp you got some catching up with geoff solo videos as bob stated geoff done big bad john sixteen tons was orginally sung by tennessee ernie ford . big bad john original singer was jimmy dean. geoff has done john denver classic take ne home country roads , a song called saddle up . the bare necessities . elvis presleys way down and his latest ghost riders in the sky please check those out do a geoff marathon lol ok bob steinmiller
Great reaction. No matter where he sings, he nails it. That is what is so impressive - no strain, just clear, clean rise and fall at any part of his range. He may be a natural, but the man definitely works at it above and beyond.
So glad to see you reacting to Geoff again. He and Voiceplay are absolutely phenomenal! A few suggestions: Geoff Shenandoah - sweet and melodious Ain't No Sunshine - heartbreaking House of the Rising Sun - he is just showing off Voiceplay - In the Hall of the Mountain King - vocally complex and hysterical I Can't Make You Love Me - so, so sad Wicked Medley - amazing Subscribed in anticipation of more Geoff and Voiceplay!
Another awesome point in this cover is that this was all done in Geoff's chest voice. He didn't even have to dip into any subharmonics and the only fry was stylistic. if this was your first experience with Geoff on his own...Oh, you're in for a bit of a ride. You get the chance to truly experience his entire range, his slightly goofy sense of humor, and a pretty significant portion of his creativity on his own channel. Have fun exploring, because we'll certainly have fun watching you explore.
Yep, the little bit of fry he used here and there was only to emphasize. I never used fry or subharmonics until I discovered Geoff, then he opened my mind and vocal range up from his influence.
His range, low notes, control.... He is such an expert, talented singer it only depends on the song how much i become obsessed with it. :) Sixteen tons is one of my favourite, recommend *Ain't no sunshine* as well to react, similar vibes, exceptional Geoff, as always. Loved the reaction! (audio quality, personality, expressivity, with a big smile, no wonder I'm sub here)
This month is Halloween, and there's no better way to celebrate than reacting to Geoff's series of Halloween productions: "The Headless Horseman" (2020, ua-cam.com/video/8rrg0ksSQdw/v-deo.html ), "Monster Mash" (2021, ua-cam.com/video/12Sg9efb0hc/v-deo.html ), and "Ghost Riders in the Sky" (2022, ua-cam.com/video/y5qZrrovpuw/v-deo.html ). All three feature 4 Geoffs with amazing layered audio!
He didn't use any special techniques in this one, but in other pieces he uses subharmonics. In his cover of Elvis' Way Down (so much fun) he hits a C1 at the end!!! If you do watch it, make sure watch all the way up to the credits!
So Geoff does his own musical arrangements and he does them for other groups as well. The Home Free cover of 'Alvira' is one of his arrangement and he's done a few others for Home Free and one or two for Peter Hollens as well. You should check out his cover of 'Way Down' by Elvis Presley.
Love this song as he does it. Another one he does great on is his cover of Ghost Riders in the Sky. He just released it the first of October. He hits even deeper notes.
Hey Schnell how are you and the family doing I hope everything is going well I haven't been here in a while but I'm so glad you're doing another Geoff video! Another Awesome cover! Great job once again Schnell! Sending much love to you and your family from here in St. Louis, Mo.
Thank you very much for your reaction! You also have to watch the following videos by Geoff when you get a chance: - House of the rising sun - Ain't no sunshine - The lord of castamere And in general it would be nice to see more reactions to VoicePlay, the acapella band of which he is a member, would do! Best regards from Germany
Sixteen Tons is a song written by Merle Travis about a coal miner, based on life in the mines of Muhlenberg County, Kentucky. First recorded August 8, 1946. The coal miners did not receive actual cash for working in the mines. They usually got like an I.O.U. That let them buy all of their necessities at the company store that was run by the coal company.
"Shook" is the right word to use, because subharmonics and low bass singing causes really profound vibrations in the chest area. It feels like a mini massage chair trapped above your heart.
My Beautiful friend, hope ❤ thus finds you, the new born and hubby well, just a note Jay None came back again and joined Voiceplay. To do a Metallica song you know...Nothing Else Matters, once you react to it your going to be blown away on how Jeff arranged it, as well as him shaking the earth, and how they all sound so good together ❤ and Lane on the end has a big surprise at the end too. So, again, thank you for all you do, always watching, and now I'll get to see your face on this one...again thank you 🥰😎✌
Dear Jen, I really liked your reactions and your friendliness, you are cute, very charismatic, fun and beautiful too... I've been your fan since now. 😅🤣😂👏👏👏😚☺️😗
You have some seriously good music to listen to of his as well as Voiceplay (the accapella group he's in). The low notes were full chest voice G1s. That's not low for him at this this point. He can hit a chest voice B1 and a subharmonic B0 (two keys from the left side of a piano). That's cool and all but he can go 4+ octaves up as well. I think at this point he's got a full 5 octave range and sounds clean across it all.
You hadn't seen this? Oh girl! He's done some really good ones. Monster Mash, Headless Horseman. His most recent is Big John which was a classic from my childhood. I prefer the Tim/Peter Misty Mountain but his is good as well. Country road was not bad and he hits some low notes there! Have fun!
He also did the arrangement for HF's Elvira with the Oak Ridge Boys. If you haven't heard Voiceplay, check out their Dragonborn, We don't talk about Bruno, Hoist the colors, Wicked etc.
He just came out with a new video for "Ghost Riders in the Sky". Some more of his deep bass tones as well as showing the range with 5 versions of himself. Check it out.

Well said!
I'm a bass myself, but only a human one.
Geoff is another level
Same, man. Although....I can keep up with his chest range on a good day.
I can hit just about every note he does except when he goes subterranean … I mean subharmonic.

The best word I can think of to describe Geoff's voice is... YUM!
A hint about Geoff, watch his videos until you see the Patrons come up. Sometimes he puts little jewels at the end.
Hello schnell!! I hope you, hubby and the baby are doing well!!!😁😁😁
His group "VOICEPLAY" is pretty spectacular as well.
Yeah, Geoff blew me away with this one. Great reaction!
Since it is Halloween month, you should check out his covers of Monster Mash and The Headless Horseman. Amazing
Another Geoff song to check out is Big Bad John. You can tell when he does his 'quartets', he's having a lot of fun.
