  • @rebeccafrost7731
    @rebeccafrost7731 4 роки тому +57

Oh, I have been waiting for this one. And, you did not disappoint. I loved your expressions while watching this.
I am SO glad that you noticed, and made comment, on that super low note in the middle of the song. It was just a quick little thing that Geoff did, and it goes unnoticed most of the time, but it's just as impressive as that end note if you're listening to it. So, good ear, and thank you for paying such close attention to the song.
The lead singer in the song is Geoff Castellucci. You are right that he is the bass for Voiceplay. He covers, I believe, either a 4 or a 5 octave range with his voice, and is able to slip between them with complete ease. The man is amazing, and, from all I've seen of him, SUCH a nice guy, too. He has an instructional series out where he helps people find their natural range, helps them to sing at a lower register, and, I'm sure, many other things I haven't seen yet.
Suggestions for what to watch next from Voiceplay? Just about anything they've done is pretty great, but MY favorites are Tennessee Whiskey, I Will Survive, and any of their Disney medleys. Geoff doesn't really feature in many of those, but he's always great.
I have never been to a concert, to answer your question from the start of the video. I have never had the opportunity to attend one. Be that either from lack of funds when a concert I wanted to see came around, lack of transportation to get to where said concert was located, or not having the time due to work to attend a concert, I just have never been able to .
Great reaction, and I can't wait to see which song you choose next.

There was a huge storm that night and it was raining during the show... the thunder and lightning started during The Devil Went Down To Georgia and it was just the most epic thing I think I've ever seen or heard. I love watching people react to this song, especially if they don't yet know Voiceplay, or Geoff specifically! So awesome that you caught so many of the little things that can be missed often. I second many of the suggestions done below, but if you want to get a good feel for some of the other guys' voices, most of the medley's highlight everyone, but their Tennesse Whiskey highlights two of them really well, and Boy Bands In 5 Minutes is great to get a good feel for all of them in different ways, plus it's a ton of fun, if you haven't watched either of them. What a fun reaction, and to answer your question, my absolute favorite concert I've had the chance to go to is a little tough, I've been to some good ones, but probably seeing AFI at Red Rocks was a highlight for sure.

Been to 2 Casting Crown concerts in Davenport, IA and they were both powerful and amazing. The humility of the artists is so incredible, definitely not your standard. I've also been to 2 Home Free concerts, first one I enjoyed the most was at the Morrison County Fair. Home Free concerts are just tons of fun and equally flooring to listen to, when they start touring again I highly recommend.

The lead vocalist on this song is Geoff Castellucci and you're correct about his being the bass singer of this group
He's also got a few videos of his own where he's singing all the parts, as he's got a 5 octave vocal range

So we've had a hurricane hit and we haven't had power in 2 days but I had to see Schnell's video real quick. That dude was pretty insane with that last note! And my favorite concert by far was Sir Elton John in Woodlands,TX for my 22 birthday. Anyone who can play piano with their toes is some kind of special. Great video my friend keep them coming! Ok back to turning my phone off since there's no power to charge.......going to go cry in a sad depression now👌👌👌

There are subharmonics from him throughout the entire song. They are in the background and are never mentioned, but there are several times he hits that ending note or close to it throughout.

Went to Stevie Ray Vaughn in 86.
The show was amazing and afterward he sat on tour bus steps for 3 hours talking with fans.
The tour manager had to force him to leave.

Geoff Castellucci, the Bass, also just released a video on his own channel called “The Headless Horseman.” Spooky fun. Voiceplay has so many videos worth watching. They do a great version of “This Is Halloween.”
Best concert? I was at a Depeche Mode concert when one song in, videos in the background, lights flashing and suddenly the power went out onstage. After a short while they were able to get up enough electricity, so the mics worked and they could play their instruments. And then it was just us, the band, and the music. No fancy, showy distractions. It was fantastic and rather special. Of course their other concerts I went to rocked as well!

Favorite concert: R5 Sometime Last Night Tour in Kettering, Ohio. I was front row, no barricade right in front of the speaker between Ross and Riker Lynch so one or the other (and occasionally Rocky) was in front of me much of the show. It was an incredible spot.
This cover related: I love watching people experience Geoff and VoicePlay for the first time. 😂 Did you notice the subtitles at the end? Lower, even lower, subterranean. They have some fun tidbits like that sprinkled into their subtitles now and then.

For me there's been to many concerts to pick from, I used to set them up for a living, but if I have to choose I'd say Pink.
