@@MichaelBuilds Hey man, i love your videos! I've been a mason for tHiRty yEaRs!! Nah, jk... about 20. Lol Question... I'm going to pour my kitchen countertops and your videos have inspired some really cool ideas.. but I'm curious? Why don't you use the Cement All for countertops? Why the Mortar Mix instead of the Cement all? That Cement all looks REALLY smooth is all, and isn't it actually stronger than the Mortar Mix? Hope you respond. Thanks man.
For us newbies, could you explain the difference between when to use parging mix, mortar or concrete when doing repairs on concrete steps, etc…? Great videos. Thanks!
So awesome. Yep, I'm working on steps and I couldn't understand why they just aren't good enough to walk on. I know I needed to seal them BUT they just don't seem strong enough for steps that we'll be walking on to enter the basement from outside. Now I know that I'm going to do a coat with Cement-All before I seal them AND I have to so our front steps; which I haven't even gotten to yet But now I've got my answer as to what I want to use and how I'm going to use it. THANK YOU, MICHAEL, FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART. ps: I also want a bird bath to put not too far or too close to our bird feeders right outside our Kitchen window where we can enjoy watching them do their little bird things, fight and just them many different kinds of birds that come to enjoy our different bird feeders. pss: I'd love to do a mail box too. I'm going to go see if you've made one. If not, can I make that request that you do a mailbox out of bricks, stones and/or even just concrete. Thanks again.
I'm gonna need you to come back and make more videos. I've been here since you started your channel and I freaking love your content! COME HOME, MICHAEL..COME HOME! lol
Great video! I was wondering why the cement you used to fill the gap on the side of the stairs was thicker than the top coat used on the stairs...... what’s the ratio for the thicker cement?
Great video If you are doing any type of flat work or forms with the Cement All you will want the flowcontrol packets. They work magic with this stuff. We use it when temps are higher than 45F.
Glad to see you back at it making absolutely amazing project videos for us fans and adding to our tool belts and giving us the amazing ideas that are all thanks to you the Rapid Set Man !!!!
to take this birdbath one stop further... Run a pipe up the middle of the pedal stool and basin. Set the pedal stool in a water basin andd a pump you have fountain bird bath.
funny we have a friend with a commercial building in Ft. Myers Florida and he occupies the Restaurant there and was wanting to do a commercial handicap ramp out of the front door as its about 2" up. sent this to him earlier and he's excited to try out the Rapid Set to make a ramp out of his front doors.
I used a little bit of that and I mixed it in a plastic cup. There was about a quarter inch left when I was done and I just let it dry. When I took it out of the plastic cup it was so smooth and shiny. It filled all the tiny indentations of the cup perfectly.
You have a lot of energy❤! You bring so much excitement to your projects, I can only imagine you in person😅. But I love it, you keep my attention and that matters! 😊 I think I may have a project I can use that for.
I just found your videos and I was laughing at the bush. I just did my front porch and I bungee corded mine out of the way. Great videos, you got a sub from me!
I have a house from the 60's w a broken step and ancient paint mostly peeled off and I'd like to figure out how to refinish the surface to look new. Would I use a grinder, as if sanding wood, or how would I go about "scrubbing" the surface layer of cement to get it cleaned and ready to apply a new surface ?
Loved the project but would have loved to see a drain hole in the lowest part of the birdbath for winters in the colder parts of the country where it gets frozen and crackes the bird bath this has happened many times with me here in zone 7 you could seal up the hole in summer with pure silicone and pop out in winter, but great video.
I really enjoy watching all your videos especially the cement all. You have made my fear of working with cement much more manageable. I thank you and hope to see more cement all projects.
I'm going to do a bunch of small concrete projects. Watching you mix in a 5 gallon bucket, I decided to get the Harbor Freight 3.5 cu ft mixer. Pretty low cost for the labor it should save.
Love the video.. learnt about the flow control... which makes sense.. my cement would crack up... perhaps due to too much water and not keeping it moist... will repair the steps now... I have a question.. the basement flooring is way too bad.. and lot of holes , dimples and not smooth at all will this rapid cement do the job of smoothening it out?? Thankyou in advance
My birdbath came with a convenient hump on top of the base and a matching dip in the center of the bath part. That looks like it would be simple to modify and build into Paul's forms using a Solo cup.
Yes this is all non toxic material and the Flow Control makes the concrete more liquid like without adding more water. More water added to concrete makes the concrete weaker. Thank you so much for watching my videos! ☺️
All your videos make me want to built stuff, I have the box of rapid set cement all, black color, & flow control.... now just thinking of what to build 🤔 🤔 thank you for the content 🌸🌺
Sarah’s back at it again watchin my vids hehehe 😝. Thank you so much Sarah! That’s what this channel is all about. Makin you want to build stuff!!! 👍🏻☺️😎
How did u make the bird bath white . I want to use cement all over my tile showers walls but i would like to make the walls white my old tiles are grey with grey grout so i want to change the color and make the bsthroom white
Did you try and build any slope into the tread? Spalling like that is usually from water puddling and freeze/thaw cycles. 1/4” across the depth of the tread is plenty.
Hi mike haven't tuned in lately..but as always you never disappoint..I especially like this video because this is the exact project I was hoping to tackle this year ..just couldn't get there you always make it seem sooo easy ..but nothing is never easy for me 🙄..thanks for another great project ❤️
Unfortunately no but I do know that rapid set has a brand new Ashfalt resurfacer that comes in a 25 pound box. It’s only available in a handful of Home Depot‘s across America but you might be able to get with the pro desk in order some.
You made the bird bath project look super easy. Please, please make a couple videos on fountains. I know you are the fun macho construction guru but I dare you to come up with a couple better cement fountain ideas than the current wave of silly youtube videos made in India/Asia who collect a million views easy. There are enough of us passionate gardeners especially during Covid who'd love to make their own fountains. Have you seen the prices on a nice fountain that will last? hundreds of dollars. There has to be a way to make different versions and designs of fountains at a reasonable price. Maybe include at least one version using perlite in your mix so us older or challenged folks can still lift and put together the pieces of a simple three-tier fountain. Thanks for the video - here's to hoping that you are up to the challenge:).
Hello, I'm building a firepit (38" diameter) I wanted to use Rigid Foam Board Insulation for the basin. My question is while the cement all is drying will the heat melt the foam insulation?
Wow, bird baths, got at least 3 to make next spring. Thanks Michael. Tomorrow installing our first dishwasher. Haven't done any electric work in 10 years, or plumbing. Had to spend today reminding myself I can do this. Lol Watching your videos help me in that department. Thanks for the great videos. Are you coloring the steps to match the patio?
Great job! I need to repair a picnic table (a tree fell and knocked off a corner of the concrete...rebar sticking out). Can I use this for that project? I'll need to make a form, I know. But just wondering if this is the best product.
I've admitted to my wife that you and @Mr.BuildIt are my man-crush. Must say I am trying my hand with some of your ideas and his as I'm remodelling our guest/sons bathroom.
One question i use rapid set Cement all in blue and white bags for concrete underlayment but after we mix this stuff after one min they getting To Hard bro ifk wtf is going on
Thanks for the video . My next project is a concrete water fall edge bath tube. I was wondering if the concrete would work in a mold without being able to water it and if it would get to hot. Now I know. 👍
WOW you make it look so easy and I mean really LOOKS easy.. I will give this a try as my house foundation needs touch up badly. Bird bath? Sure would love to make one but the mold is $119!!!!
I don't even have a place to put a birdbath, but I went looking for the molds anyway. LOL
Lol 😝

I love how you tell us how to do it and yet make it simple enough for people who don’t use cement much be able to do these great repairs
I'm not kidding when i say your videos are really the most entertaining. I'm not even interested in concrete or working on houses.
By far, you are my concrete go to guy. Thanks
I just wanna say that, YOU ARE THE MAN!!!
I am? Haha
‘Saw 1 video and subbed immediately. This is the second show and the beginning of a wonderful binge-watching adventure.😊
Thanks for sharing. What's the difference/benefits of this vs NewCrete?
My wife and I will be building a dinning room table using your countertop method and a wood base...I'm excited...
The stairs look brand new and that bird bath is awesome!
I think you’re my new hero!! Hubby and I love your videos
LOL 😂 well thank you so much Joy and joys hubby haha 😊

Both the steps and bird bath look amazing!!
I am in a hot summer, cold winter weather zone. How long until those steps start spalling and how would I prevent it from starting to happen?
Omg you’re a life saver ! I can now afford to fix my house up 😉🤗
That is so cool. I have always been told can't repair cement.
Love it. But how/where do you wash out the buckets and paddles w/o clogging drains or leaving concrete water in your lawn?
That is a great product I did my stairs last spring and it worked perfectly.
دندن انت موهوب عملك جداً رائع 👏🏾
Wow, you inspire me and make me think I can actually work with concrete

Great Video, had an question though do i need to add flow for making small statues typical which is around 14 inches in height and 4 inches in width
Hi from your northern neighbours, another great video, where can you get molds like your using?
Like the way the stairs turned out. How well does cementall hold up to salt? My stairs are slowly deteriorating.
Was thinking the same thing .
Just wondering if you can change the color...

What is this "Flow packet?" What is the purpose of it and is it sold in the cement aisle? Thank you. LOVE your videos!! So incredibly helpful!
Yes this is all non toxic material and the Flow Control makes the concrete more liquid like without adding more water. More water added to concrete makes the concrete weaker. Thank you so much for watching my videos! ☺️
Oh man!! I'm loving this stuff. I have cement stone steps that are crumbling. ugh
Which one would work best for a fire box?
Can I use cement all to repair cender block wall there is two places in the wall where the rear is sticking out because the cement broke off

Yes! That's smooth! Thank you for an informative and fun video! I'm going to try it this weekend! thank you!
How did u make the bird bath white . I want to use cement all over my tile showers walls but i would like to make the walls white my old tiles are grey with grey grout so i want to change the color and make the bsthroom white
I wonder if a counter top would look better with the cement all over the Rapid set mortar mix?
Glad your back making videos, I've gotta try this stuff. Can you do it in cold climates?
Can I use this to fix concrete cracks? Thank you
Yes you can ☺️
Another FANTASTIC video. Glad to see you getting another one out. Keep em coming please.

Hey Michael!
You mentioned there being other birdbath molds online. Any chance you might share all the ones you know of. Thanks so much!
Dude good job man that's awesome that's beautiful work I love it
Very cool! What about a pizza oven?
I love your Videos! How cute is that birdbath!
Thank you so much! ☺️👍🏻
Love your videos! I wish you would use other products that are less costly to compare.
Anyone know if you can apply stain after to make it like school colors or something?
Finally the video I've been looking for! Thanks Michael!
Very Very nice job Attention to detail

You're a Rock Star
AWWWWWW! Thank you so much! 👍🏻☺️
What's the difference between this and regular plain cement?
If your stairs are painted how can you use this product ? Thank you .
Can CementAll be use on asphalt driveways?

@@MichaelBuilds Thanks Bro. Love the videos. Do a video on the new Asphalt resurfacing. Just saying for a friend.... me.
Any ideas on how to add a pump to this?
What did you spray on the bird bath mold before using it?
whats the flow for??? I am making 12" round stepping stones, do I still need the flow?

First timer and I apologize but I missed something.... What were the little packets you mixed in please? Great video!
That’s awesome, I love your videos!
Missed you. So wish it was available in UK
I definitely love it when i get notified you put out another video, i love all the diy stuff!
would this technique work on brick steps that had concrete on them and are all cracked and the brick is exposed in some areas?
I would have placed a 3" or 4" wood dowel or couple of 2x4's down the center to lighten it up some for e-z moving.

The next ones not too exciting haha. an unboxing for a portable heater.
@@MichaelBuilds Any video you do is exciting. At least I think so. I love tools of any kind. I guess a heater is a tool?
Concrete guru, please help out with the current dumbbell shortage. Can you show how you would make concrete dumbbells?
Thank you for this great demonstration s... Have you ever done any art as far as sculpture?
Awesome video! Where is the link for the mold
It’s in the description below
Good to know you can use that flow control stuff with this. I was wondering about that.
I'm all about iit brother man but I am very curious how the steps will hold up after a couple months. and longer.
