Paul Dano's Riddler is probably the most divisive version to ever be created. There's a lot of differing opinions on whether or not he was a good portrayal of the character. In my opinion these discussions don't really matter. Dano's Riddler is not even supposed to be the true version of the character yet since the film was basically mapping his evolution. He was a guy who hid his identity because he felt power from his mask and wanted to be just like Batman. At the end of the film, his identity is exposed and his idol (Batman) rejects him, which causes Riddler to break free of his influence. His final moments with Batman illustrate how he no longer heavily dicates his motivations. He begins taunting Batman’s intelligence and revels in his supposed superiority in those moments, clearly marking the beginnings of his intelligence fuelled ego towards Batman. Pretty sure if Riddler ever appears again he'll be a lot closer to his comic portrayal.
Paul Dano's Riddler is the type of villain who looks like he came straight out of the Dark Web contrasted to classic green suit, a cane, and a mask in the comics and other adaptations. His portrayal is cold, psychotic, and it's phenomenal.
Love love love the tie-in comic about his origin. The art is fantastic (early Battinson suit design looks so cool), and I'm so happy when the actual actors contribute to this kind of stuff, it shows how passionate they really are.
Loved that his riddles had stupid answers no one else would think of, it felt very reminiscent of the random crap Frank Gorshin would spout. A marked improvement over the generic Saturday morning villain who happens to wear question marks in Forever.

well he's one of two so~ can't count the Adam West one unfortunately delaying the movie pilot and letting that version be presented at a TV show first kinda dooms it to TV status. Same thing that keeps the Adventure time Distant lands from being considered Adventure time movies movies or the Proud Family movie. and who could forget Rise of the planet of the ape-- I mean the Powerpuff Girls movie I always get those plots confused.
When he sang Ave Maria I laughed. Both times I watched it, I laughed. It was awful. Don't know whose idea it was. But they deserve a boot up the arse! The character wasn't great to begin with, but any perceived menace was quickly eroded.
Watch the movie again .Ave Maria always associated with funerals, and the Riddler set up those bombs to cause a lot of damage and deaths. So, when Batman asks him what he has done, he sings Ave Maria as a way of hinting that deaths (funerals) will occur. Or you can interpret it as a form of celebration since you know, his plan is a success. that's all, its not difficult to think.

I loved this version of riddler and i truly believe that he is a very underrated batman villain.
I Gotta Say That The Riddler In The Batman Was So Terrifying Paul Dano Was So Great In The Role
Perfect casting
The Batman Riddler took twitch irl streams to the next level.

Truely terrifying that anyone with common sense or who could bench 120 could beat him
I never cared about Riddler. Paul Dano's version is by far my favorite.

Keep making more background and origin of Villian.
But the real question is...."is this Riddler actually on film?"...or was it all digital? 😉. Great job as always brother 👍
FUN FACT: the Batman 2022 was inspired by se7en, but a noir action film
I dunno, Riddler here was more like pathetic than scary for me
I didn’t really think of him as pathetic until he showed up in the Cafe
@@WarpingFistRiddler was OP while Nigma wasn't
Tbh I think the game show like Riddler is scarier and more unique
Every Riddler has elements of a game show host, Including Paul Dano. I don’t think there’s a version out there without those tendencies
They got make a riddler movie.(??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????)
If real and their plans happen in the real world jim carrey would be the scariest riddler. Him and two face get high off reading mimds

@@vengeance4566 cheers for the completely unnecessary version you present. You saw meaning in it. I saw something else. Good luck!

Batman begins was a better movie. Idk this movie something I don't hate it but I don't exactly like it. It was fine
That’s fair. Personally I enjoyed this film more.
Was never a fan of this version of the Riddler
