I've owned a lot of watches, I still have quite a few. Steinhart is one of my 2 favorite brands, I just received that exact titanium model used a couple of weeks ago to add to 2 other Steinharts I have. Years ago I had a blue dial model, not quite the same colors as the one you have, I wish I had it back.
I bought the Ocean One Vintage 3 years ago, second hand. It was almost brand new & hardly worn as the guy who bought it found the 42mm case too big. One of my favourite watches in my collection.👍🏼😎
Great time with the unboxing. I love Steinhart, I have had four from the mid 2000's when they were using the ETA movements. Ocean One, Ocean One GMT pumpkin, Black Tie and a World Traveler, they were all fantastic watches to wear.
I absolutely love the Titanium version. This watch has been on my "To Buy List" for quite awhile now but I keep buying other watches instead. I need to go and pull the trigger already.
Just bought the 50 atmos titanium as well. Been eyeing for years. Bought from Gnomon with a coupon. Love it! Replaced bracelet with a Straphabit FKM in navy. Left bracelet in the stickers. I would scratch that all up in a month. Have other Steinies and enjoy them. Looking forward to your in depth review.
I lucky enough to own all my favorite watches....and my favorite of those favorites is my 2017 Ocean 1...the wheight the wide bracelet and I like the female end link also that it's bigger than the Sub. So the Rolex, Omega and Tudor is spending most of the time in the box.
Thank you CheapWatchMan for the tip on ScotchBright mod on the finish of the Orient Mako2. I have a Ray II and it was a tremendous improvement. Great call brother.
Love my Ocean One 39. Solid watch for about $400. Ruins me for wanting to buy some of the Swatch group and other ~$2k watches that also have a ETA 2824 or Sellita SW200 movements. Hard to justify any of those.
Last week my first dive watch showed up and I have to say I may get another in the future. These look nice but a little out of my budget for now, Mine is a Cestrian Dive Series V1, white dial with a black bezel.
I’m actually wearing my ocean39 red right now so I feel like I can give my 2 cents on this watch. I ordered with a jubilee, jubilee is nice but the links are not all articulating. Also the width of the center link is wider than typical jubilee bracelets so mods take a little more work. Bracelet clasp is also so so. It is nice quality and secure, I just wish it was a push button on the fly adjustable clasp like the San Martin fancy clasp. That clasp is outstanding for 35-45 dollars. The bezel is a monster to turn so that’s either a pro or a con depending on individual. I wish it was easier to turn. Last complaint is the blue hue AR coating. It just reminds me of cheaper Chinese watches, I wish the AR coating was clear. OTHER than that it’s an awesome watch! lol I truly do love it and the 39 is the perfect size for me. Really, it is an amazing watch. Even with my little criticisms that others would probably not even care about.
I wish they were more comfortable to wear. Ss are so top heavy due to the case design. I’m keen to try 39mm titanium at some point although the design is not my favourite.
I have a Debaufre Ocean One from 15-20 years ago, I wore the hell out of that watch and it needs to be restored now. Great watches. I think they were made by Grovana?
I'm sitting on my balcony overlooking Miramar beach right now. The ocean one sw300 is on my wrist. I've been deep sea fishing, diving, and snorkeling twice in the last week with this tank. Love it. This obviously isn't a Rolex, but a great (maybe the best) watch for the price. The watch that's truly better than a Rolex sub for half the price is the Tudor Pelagos.
Like them both I would have to take the titanium bracelet off the watch as I would damage it to easily at work but I really like the blue accents on it
This looks like a great starter watch. High quality with a Swiss made movement. This could be an endgame watch, or someone can test the waters with this and look for something better later. Nice shirt!
I have mad love for Steinhart. For my wrist size, the 39mms are perfection. My favorite is the OLKO Special Edition of the Ocean GMT. I think you actually introduced me to Steinies a couple years back! So thanks for that. 😃👍
Good choice.I was going to get OLKO's 'explorer 2' but went with the Gnomon Steinhart 39 snowflake hands 'cough'watch. I suggest the 'j' bracelet than the 'o' , but both are good.
Bit big for me at 42mm but I can see the appeal.... a lot to be said for Homage watches I think... especially given their quality vs the difficulty getting hands on a desirable Rolex at retail these days.
Just a cheap Kershaw. I gave too many away to tsa when I used to travel so I stopped buying expensive knives and the irony is this has turned out to be my favorite knife
Squale is a great brand but they are clearly more known today for their homage watches, and the urban gentry . I own two of them and love them. But they are not for everyone
Yep, better than a Rolex. The 39mm Steinhart appears to be more comfortable and looks better. But it’s a pity from what I’ve seen, the cyclops on the Steinhart does not really magnify. Does someone have a Steinhart with that problem?
Disingenuous to call the blue one a homage. Its a straight out rip off of the smurf. Better than a sub ofcourse it is fella. .keep telling yourself that
Dude, I don’t know what you’re on, but I sure don’t want any. Guys, if you can’t afford a Rolex that’s okay. Maybe you’ll be able to sometime in the distant future.
What are you even talking about? These are gorgeous pieces and so what if they aren't a Rolex. These are high quality affordable swiss watches at a fraction of the price.
I agree with John. The point here is that myself, and many others, have ZERO interest in buying a Rolex watch. Even if I had the money I'd choose to buy a different brand that suits my taste better. This guy did a great quick unboxing review and I regret selling my titanium ocean one, it was super accurate and had a great Lume too.

Greetings form germany. The Sign says "Attention. Dont throw!". Great review as always.
Hey, thanks!
Great time with the unboxing. I love Steinhart, I have had four from the mid 2000's when they were using the ETA movements. Ocean One, Ocean One GMT pumpkin, Black Tie and a World Traveler, they were all fantastic watches to wear.
Thanks to you, I am a Steinhart fan. My 42mm Ocean One Vintage Red is my favorite.
I absolutely love the Titanium version. This watch has been on my "To Buy List" for quite awhile now but I keep buying other watches instead. I need to go and pull the trigger already.

I can’t believe you do watches as well. Awesome.
Love my Ocean One 39. Solid watch for about $400. Ruins me for wanting to buy some of the Swatch group and other ~$2k watches that also have a ETA 2824 or Sellita SW200 movements. Hard to justify any of those.

Their web site: Military 47 and 42 (hand winding!), with strap, are so tempting.
If it was retail, locally, I'd buy one today.
What size is your wrist? I just got a 42 green ocean one and I’m a 7.5 inch and worried it might be too big.
Steinhart make great quality watches! I reluctantly had to sell my Ocean 39 Classic Adventure this week….sadly mourned!
I own a Steinhart ocean one GMT in titanium and I approve
I have three Steinharts and love them…but yea…they need to update the clasp.

‘Caution! Do not throw.’ That’s what the label states in German. Great watch!
I wish they were more comfortable to wear. Ss are so top heavy due to the case design. I’m keen to try 39mm titanium at some point although the design is not my favourite.
2:33 Watch is seen.
What's the Nikon camera on the table?
I have a Debaufre Ocean One from 15-20 years ago, I wore the hell out of that watch and it needs to be restored now. Great watches. I think they were made by Grovana?
Nice! I have a couple Steinharts. They've been solid and reliable watches.
I wish you wouldn’t have said that because I kind of really want a pelagos
Love Steinhart. Both of these a beautiful! Not a fan of the Cyclops but I'd get used it. Great unboxing Randy!!! Can't wait for the full review. 👍👍👍
You and me both!
Like them both I would have to take the titanium bracelet off the watch as I would damage it to easily at work but I really like the blue accents on it

Hope you can do a review on the Invicta JM Correa automatic. The hit it out of the park with that series 😊
The Titanium one wins it for me. That is a nice watch.
I don’t like titanium BUT I can’t stop thinking about that one!
iv had my ocean black for around 4 years - i love like the day i got it.
I have mad love for Steinhart. For my wrist size, the 39mms are perfection. My favorite is the OLKO Special Edition of the Ocean GMT. I think you actually introduced me to Steinies a couple years back! So thanks for that. 😃👍
Right on
Good choice.I was going to get OLKO's 'explorer 2' but went with the Gnomon Steinhart 39 snowflake hands 'cough'watch. I suggest the 'j' bracelet than the 'o' , but both are good.
What is Olko?
@a It's a German watch boutique that partners with Steinhart and offers some special editions of some of their watches.
Bit big for me at 42mm but I can see the appeal.... a lot to be said for Homage watches I think... especially given their quality vs the difficulty getting hands on a desirable Rolex at retail these days.
‘do not throw’ in german…fysa. but agree with u, really cool watches, own a couple myself and like them.
good video
Request: who makes that pocket knife you got there? It looks great.
Just a cheap Kershaw. I gave too many away to tsa when I used to travel so I stopped buying expensive knives and the irony is this has turned out to be my favorite knife
Looks like a Kershaw Filter
Steinhart is German and Steeldive, San Martin are Chinese.
I like the Titanium! By the way, the sign says "Caution! Do not throw!"
Thank you!
Nice, but no Day Complication. So, as nice as it looks no cigar for me.
lug to lug on Ocean One Titanium ?
50mm but they are very flat so it wears bigger
Great watches 👍
Squale is a great brand but they are clearly more known today for their homage watches, and the urban gentry . I own two of them and love them. But they are not for everyone
I’ve never been a box guy. I would rather the company put money into the watch.
Would you serve an $80 steak on a paper plate? Presentation matters.
Yep, better than a Rolex. The 39mm Steinhart appears to be more comfortable and looks better. But it’s a pity from what I’ve seen, the cyclops on the Steinhart does not really magnify. Does someone have a Steinhart with that problem?
Nicht werfen...!!! Don't throw it around...!!
Better than a Rolex Sub?? No!! 😂
Disingenuous to call the blue one a homage. Its a straight out rip off of the smurf. Better than a sub ofcourse it is fella. .keep telling yourself that
Better if you dont want to pay over retail or get mugged on holiday whilst in Italy.
No it’s not better than a Rolex, just enjoy the watch, stop it
@damian7723I'm still shocked at how many compliments I get when I wear my Duro.
Luxury brands are over priced.
Dude, I don’t know what you’re on, but I sure don’t want any. Guys, if you can’t afford a Rolex that’s okay. Maybe you’ll be able to sometime in the distant future.
