It’s crazy that I have more than double the monsteras in this video, yet there are still multiple on your list that I don’t have! Monstera is my favorite genus 😍
Obsessed with your channel. I can’t believe you only have 5k subs. You’ll have 50k in no time! You and your way of being entertaining and informative 👌🏻 big love from Australia!
I am binge watching your videos from before I discovered your channel and just want to tell you how adorable you are. I love your genuineness and enthusiasm!
Something I've noticed on monstera albos is that their colour seems to alternate. Every other leaf is very similar. My prediction is the leaf after the green one will also be hemispheric, and the one after that will be mostly green. My first monstera was an adansonii clipping given to me by a shop keeper who was closing for a few weeks for a winter break. Now my plant is massive and I have so many cuttings from it. I resisted the Deliciosa trend for almost 2 years before giving in, when I saw a MASSIVE one (3 stems in a 10" pot with medium fenestrated leaves) for $40 (which is an excellent price for East Coast Canada). I definitely want to see a philodendron tour!! They're my faves! I love your videos, you have such great energy!
Congratulations on hitting almost 15k subscribers!! This channel will only grow bigger. I always come back here to starr my morning or to distract me from nonsense.
Oh boy... where do I start. I have a few more Monstera types, and my Standleyana is giving me the hardest time. When I got her, she was so unruly that I decided to chop her up and start from scratch. It's been over 6 weeks and still no roots. Leaves are curled, but it they also don't want to die. I am trying to root a TC, but it just won't. And don't get me started on the Pinnatipartita. Or whatever its name is. Got it last year in fall and it has two new leaves (from a one-leaf cutting) and all of a sudden those leaves are turning yellow. Seriously running out of ideas here. I think I might have an aphids problem, too. Which is why I will be treating many of my plants for the rest of the week. Ugh! Sorry for the long comment. Plant frustration galore here. Awesome video Kevin, as always!
Oh no TANYA!! I'm so sorry to hear this 😔 yeah I've had my own issues propagating standleyanas. Oh no the pinna. Do you think it could be the roots or the aphids? I've never had aphids so I don't know. I hope you find out what's wrong! That's so frustrating!
@@kevin. Thanks plant friend. I am thinking it is either nutrients or a combination of both (aphids). But I was gonna check the roots anyway. It's a weird yellowing. Not like it is dying, nothing like fungal. It's kinda like a yellow mottling. Which is why my guess is nutrients. I will find out soon. :D
I started my plant collection this year now that I moved to building in Etobicoke and have a large balcony. Sadly facing east and had to change how I water. No afternoon sun!
You definitely deserve more subs with the helpful plant info that we get from your channel 👸 still can’t get over with your huge thai consta 😍😍😍 road to 💯 k pls 😂🎉🙏

WHEN I SAY I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!!! YOU REMIND ME OF A HIGH SCHOOL FRIEND I LOVE IT LOL!! Omg i want a monstera albo and i cant wait to buy it!!! Thx for this video!!
Hey! I absolutely love your videos and everything you do in them! Your the kindest funniest plant daddy I've seen on here! Hope your day is going beautifully! Your monstera thai con is absolutely stunning! May I ask what it is your feeding your thai? I have one ive been struggling with... I would appreciate all your care tips and advise! Thank you so so so much!
Hi, I'm totally utterly completely envious...LOL They are all GORGIOUS! It seems you only have uncommon plants...LOL. What did you do with your Monstera Thai Constellation props? It would be nice to have another video with them. Where did you buy these plants from? Are they expensive?
Haha it's a tough balance of giving you guys a constant flow of videos but also trying not to tarnish the quality of the videos. I'm hoping to do this more consistently moving forward! ☺️
OMG I’m jealous; so close to the sun up so high. I live in a house only two stories.... I need sell my house and move into an apartment 4 stories up or more w floor to ceiling windows!!! LOL
Not a big fan of monsteras. I only have the adansonii (and it hated me for a while 🤣), but I love love love your albo. It’s super pretty! 😍 Congrats on that 5.000. It’s well deserved. So much positivity and I’m always in a good mood after watching 🤩
What is the YELLOW variegation? Long story short I found one in my monstera! I took the plant out, potted her up with a moss pole……4 beautiful leaves with a definite yellow variegation on each. The newest leaf is a half moon. What do you think I found?
Another great video Kevin. I found your channel a few weeks back searching for growing in leca. Can you do a video on how you make those appealing plant poles for your pots? Like you monstera tripp plant and take us through your thought process?
@@kevin. Around 15:39 on video you show us your monstera pinnatipartita. It is poled and strapped but clean lines and yes also your moss poles. So can you do one video going over both types of plant poles? What best twine or straps to use plus pros and cons. I know this maybe over kill for some of your more pro viewers but for us newbies every bit of the insightful information helps. 😊
Haha there are probably better ones! I just used what I used and it works for now? But I've been getting this question a lot so I'll probably do a video about this in the future ☺️
Question 😬 Have you ever had an aerial root grow into your substrate and develop roots, then cut it and pot it up. Since technically it’s already rooted. I had this thought last night and cannot find an answer. But it’s making sense to me 🤔
@@kevin. Thanks so much for responding! Some of my aerial roots are like a foot long before hitting the substrate and rooted in, would you throw the remaining aerial thats above the substrate below the substrate after chopping 😬 Your plants are freaking Ahhhhmazzzing BTW Love your videos!
I just discovered your channel. Omg, your Thai Constellation. I'm sorry you lost your Monstera deliciosa to thrips. What are you doing ensure your Thai Constellation does not get attacked by thrips? I would be terrified.

Hi 👋🏾 New to your channel and subscribed right away, love your videos and energy! I have a question regarding semi hydroponic nutrients! I have most of my plants in leca and use General Hydroponic nutrients. I usually mix 4L worth. After 1-2 weeks the plant reservoirs need to be filled again, should I use the remaining solution (After 2 weeks the pH is at 7-8), do I top up reservoir with plain water, or readjust ph nutrient solution before using the remaining? Also, what nutrients do you use for your plants in leca? Do you measure the pH? Thank you!!
Hey thank you so much ☺️💚 I also use general hydroponics floraseries + calmag + diamond nectar + rapid start. I have a complete guide out on my channel of you need more details. I change my nutrients every 2 weeks and top up every other week in between
Congratulations with your 5k followers🎉 I love your Tai 😍 you know the Monstera Lecheriana? That was my first Monstera. I have the Siltepecana, the Laniata and the Stanlyana white yellow variegated. So I have 4 😊 I love Philodendron so come on true with that video😁 enjoy your day 🍀💚
My monstera siltepecana did not react well to being transferred to leca at all. It was beautiful and lush in soil and it slowly started dying in leca. I tried saving it by putting it in a leca/perlite mix and it wasn’t having it. Finally I put it in spag and in a humidity dome (my plant ICU solution) and it’s slowly recovering. Not before it lost half its leaves though, the leaves would start to yellow slowly then it kinda got transparent, like a ghost of itself. I tweaked the nutrients, went to pure filtered water from my zerowater, still kept degrading. That’s when I went to spag. There was no pests etc. It was really frustrating
@@kevin. thanks! The mother plant is looking better. I took some propagations and those are my saving grace. Thank God most plants are troopers and actually want to survive lol.

Albos are definitely my favorite even though it's most finicky. It took a whole month just to get a couple inches of water root on my cutting.
