Had this problem and couldn’t fix it . So as a last resort we connected a mobile battery charger and it booted again . Worth a try as I think the iPhone battery wouldn’t charge any longer .
Thank you for making this video. This problem has been bugging me for months. I even went and bought a new charging stand and was considering upgrading my phone as soon as possible just so i wouldn't have to struggle to get my phone to charge properly. A simple hard reset and i was good to go.

turn your phone off, turn it back on and then go to settings. click battery and then go to battery health, then turn off optimized battery charging. it worked for me but i just had to do this process again. i hope my phone isn’t broken.
If you have recently disconnected the battery, open up the phone again, disconnect the battery cable again and then click it back in again firmly until it snaps, worked for me, a huge relief!
My iPhone 7 is a legend,it has all sorts of battery related probs 1)boot loops 2)it's showing charging but not charging 3)it stuck on 1% 4)over heat though I don't use it much Apart all these it survived this condition more than a year At last legends never die 😎

I had a similar issue with my phone where it said it wasn’t charging but the % went up. Through google, I figured one of the probes responsible for transferring the data which is responsible for telling the hardware that it’s charging was faulty. Sources online said so, and that the soldering was damaged. However, on careful inspection or using my friends phone flashlight to shine into my iPhone charge port, there was just a small wad of fluff and gunk in the corner which was obviously responsible for the fault. Honest, when you’re dealing with a small component, it’s always important to be able to see it clearly. Once I saw where the fluff was, it was as simple as taking the paper clip I had been attempting to use but using it directly in that spot making sure to ‘cross reference’ with the flashlight to ensure I knew where it was at all times. My phone charges perfectly now.

I was panicking because mine wasnt charging, I have an XR, and my port is plugged so I have to use the back charging, and mine wasnt showing the percentage rise at all. Tried a hard reset, it didnt work, even a normal shut down and turn on didnt, then I looked at the power source... The USB wasn't fully into the plug.
Once my phone battery was completely cold, well at least the back of my phone was cold. So I heated some water in my microwave and made sure it was steaming hot and held my phone over it so that it can kind of get warmer so then it worked and started charging. BUT THIS IS ONLY IF ITS NOT CHARGING AT ALL !!! Oh and clean inside your charging port just in case :).
My phone won't even charge on low power mode i'll put it on the charger when its on low power mode and it'll literally decrease battery percentage the only time it will charge is if i unplug it plug it back in and turn off low power mode idk why this is happening but it just recently started happening to me like a couple days ago

I have a old iphone5s,it work if you put off and then on the ring sound on the left side. It did it well for me.
