My battery has been draining nonstop since updating to ios 18. I did some of the recommended steps, and finished by restarting my phone. My battery was charged to 88%, after restarting I was nicely surprized that it went actually UP to 91%!!... probably not accurate but at least it didn't go down I hope that these solve my battery draining issues. Thank you! Update, Guys... I've been to apple store more than once and multiple times on the phone with support team and many back and forth emails for more than 2 weeks (including factory resetting my phone) without any improvement. Bro, I’m not trying to be mean but all of your other videos you said turn Optimized Battery Charging and turn it on, but now you’re telling us it’s a good idea to turn it off now??
Great video! I personally prefer manual brightness setting. Auto brightness to me consumes more battery as it uses a sensor to detect the environment real-time so it can adjust the brightness accordingly.
Ever since updated to iOS 16 my battery drain has been terrible. I thought the updates may fix it but now at 16.5 it is even worse. I just about to have to keep the phone on a charger because of the fast drain. Battery was usage was good before 16 and my battery health reads 100%. The battery was replaced on this phone less than 2 yrs. ago. I have tried every tip from this and other sites to stop it but to no avail. I charged the phone to 100% yesterday before bed time and left off of the charger overnight. In the morning it was at 22% just sitting there on the table beside the bed. I am at wits end as my phone is rapidly becoming useless unless hooked up to a charger.

About closing apps. First year with my Iphone 13 Pro Max I used to close apps all the time. Probably 2-3 times a day on average. Battery health drained 11% in the first year. I want to know if anyone has experienced any recent battery drain issues since updating to iOS 16.5. I could go a full ten hours at work and only lose 20-25% and yesterday I lost 40% with the same or less usage.
I believe charger amperage does not matter. The phone has its own circuit that decides wether it is going to charge at a certain amperage or another. The charger displays the max amperage it can provide and not necessarily the amperage at which a device charges at.
My iPhone 13 Pro Max is 15 month old and my battery health is 99% What works for me is that I charge my phone daily in the evening when it’s around 55% till full and I turn my phone off at night.

I would recommend the 20-80 20-95 charge rule. Iphone batteies will degrade over time and likely upgrade. If you want to phone to last 2-3 years never charge it overnight unless your using a 5w wireless charger. Do not charge with a computer. Its not gonna be bad if you switch to 15 wats then 18-20 wats. I upgraded/transfered my data from my old iphone 13 pro to my iphone 15 pro and on the new device Home and Lock screen is using most of the battery. I've no widgets, no auto wake and enabled low power mode. It still is my top battery draining app. Any suggestion on what to do with home and lock screen to stop it from draining battery?
I turned off a lot of the unnecessary apps and my iPhone 12 Pro is no longer so warm on the back! I even got a new battery and still was losing power. Thanks a bunch!
One more things which drain battery are some widgets which refresh using data like the weather widget both on your Home Screen and Lock Screen so if you have a bunch of widgets that aren’t useful get rid of them and animated Lock Screens will drain your battery a little bit as well.
Hey Guys , question for you….I live in an area without cell service. Yes, such places exist. I do have wifi though. I turn off the cell service app on my phone because there is no point for my phone to continue my search for service we’re it doesn’t exist. Yet under battery health it states that no cell coverage uses 42% of battery life??? How can this be? Am I missing something? Thank you for all your great videos! You two rock! 🙏🏻🕊️
Love your videos. What iOS do you have? I have 17.1.2 on an iPhone 13, but there is no "WiFi" setting to manage and I am planning a trip to Europe in September 2024
I have a big question about location settings- it occurs to me that apple is probably pretty economical with this service. It’s most likely the cases that if you have even one location setting turned on that is used with any frequency that apple probably is going to ping you with that pretty frequently and then share that ping with all other apps that wish to know where you are. This would mean that if you use any location detection then you might as well have them all on. I do not believe apple is running separate location pings for every single switch that is turned on, they’re probably pinging at the lowest frequency they can for the location services you have on and then just sharing them across the board. The only thing that could really help with battery in location settings is either turning everything off (even then, there’s probably background stuff apple won’t let you change) OR turning off anything that is constant and only having the occasional one turned on. I’d like to know more and hear your thoughts- maybe a video.
It drains all my battery life just turning on and of all the settings that you suggested . Uff… Then I got them back the way they were :) Nice video guys. I was just kidding.
I do all that you recommend and my iPhone is draining more battery now. Yesterday I do all modifications before sleep and at that moment battery was 100% ( 11pm )and today when I wake up it was 50% ( 8 am). Too much weird! Before that always when I wake up my battery have 97 or 95% change remaining. Too bad😡

I can’t do the reduce motion. It’s been two weeks and it’s on delay 😂. Thank for the tips
Helps a lot. Not only with battery but also with new informations. Thank you both a lot ❤
Just charge it to 100 percent as it is used to be, you can use your phone longer and it will lessen your charging habit.
I really enjoyed Mulholland Drive, thanks David!
what a video Im about to move to iphone and I really need this video, thanks guys!!!
Bought an iPhone 14 Pro back in october and it's still at 100%, looks like I'm doing something right!

what do you do
Why does this video has Picture in Picture mode but other videos automatically close when i tap home ?
Thanks!! really good advices
Excellent presentation. Really appreciate your efforts. These informative tutorial will be very helpful for me in the future. Thank you
I just ordered a 14 pro max, gotta start good
Thank you guys whenever I get the new version of the iPhone I recover the system setting back up and automatically set it up every time.
I turned off a lot of the unnecessary apps and my iPhone 12 Pro is no longer so warm on the back! I even got a new battery and still was losing power. Thanks a bunch!
I had a 12pro with 81% battery health its draining so fast should i replace battery?
which features
thank you so much
Ooof...turning on Reduce Motion made me almost motion sick...I think I'll leave it off!
One more things which drain battery are some widgets which refresh using data like the weather widget both on your Home Screen and Lock Screen so if you have a bunch of widgets that aren’t useful get rid of them and animated Lock Screens will drain your battery a little bit as well.
Do these tips apply for an iPad Pro as well?
I prefer to keep optimized battery turned on at all times on my iPhone 11
You guys switched places
Thanks, this video helps a lot. 🙇🏽
6:09 sorry guys but I have to bring this too people’s attention ❤
Hey Guys , question for you….I live in an area without cell service. Yes, such places exist. I do have wifi though. I turn off the cell service app on my phone because there is no point for my phone to continue my search for service we’re it doesn’t exist. Yet under battery health it states that no cell coverage uses 42% of battery life??? How can this be? Am I missing something? Thank you for all your great videos! You two rock! 🙏🏻🕊️
Thanks ❤
This help me so much
And I love you guys❤
The best video out there about the subject, thank you very much!
I love you guy's😊🎉 thanks a lot❤
Finally best video ❤
Thank you so much guys.. Hope it helps❤
Too bad😡
😱😱😱🥺
Iam using iPhone 15. Which chargeing settings is best? Optimised charge or 80%limit?
I do use a device called chargie to protect my phone battery overall but everytime my iPhone does something funky (drains fast or not charging), I would restart it. Usually does the trick.
