No need for Mixer, Microwave and stove
No Eggs, No Gelatin and easy to make
Ingredients:
2 Cups Sifted Powder Sugar/ confectioners Sugar
1Tbsp to 1 and 1/2 Tbsp Tylose powder or CMC Powder (you can adjust the tylose powder depending on how hard you want it)
3/4 Cup sifted powder sugar (For kneading purposes only)
2 Tbsp Corn Syrup
4 Tbsp Room Temp Water
Procedure:
1. On a mixing bowl or container sift 2 cups of confectioner sugar.
2. add 2 tbsp of corn syrup and 4 tbsp of room temp drinking water or sterilized water.
3. mix well until you get a royal icing consistency make sure all sugar is melted and well combined or incorporated.
4. add 1 tbsp to 1 and 1/2 tbsp tylose or cmc powder, mix well until thick, the amount of tylose or cmc can be adjusted based on what are you making and how hard you want the paste to be, for sculptures i siuggest 1 tbsp only.
5. sift 3/4 cups of confectioner or powder sugar and add gradually, at times you wont be able to use all, this is just for kneading purposes.
this paste requires no resting after you make it you can use it right away.
Storage:
1. after making, store on plastic wrapp or film, then put on another airtight container and store inside the ref or chiller, this will last 1 to 3 months on paste or dough form, my advise divide on smaller chunks so its easy to use, take out only what you need and thaw at room temp for 30 min to 1 hour before use.
2. when made into flowers or figures this last 1 to 2 years protected from humidity.
