Don't worry If you got 20+ notifications all at once! It was because of an embargo lift, basically we can't talk about the products until a certain time and date, that's why everyone uploads the review at the same time. Though if you watched Tech YES first, then that's nothing but
I don't need more than two reviews to decide if a product is worthy or not. My only two notifications for new reviews are always you and HWUnboxed. Cheers!
paul and kyle brought up really good points about the 2060 being backordered at the $300 price point. According to Paul, the cheapest 2060 you can even get currently is at $320, which also kinda helps the case for AMD. but at 6gb of vram.... think ill just look for a good deal on a 5700
Bryan did you also get two VBIOS updates for your RX 5600XT prior to launch ? I am reviewing the Gigabyte RX 5600XT Gaming OC for a danish hardware site, and Thursday last week I was finished testing the card with all results and graphs done. Then friday 17/1-2020 I get an email from Gigabyte about a new VBIOS update that improves performance with at least 10%. So all my previous testing was completely invalid, and I had to hurry and retest everything before deadline the 21st (today). So yesterday Sunday I finally got the updated results and the review ready for release and returned the card to Gigabyte after loan. Then TODAY 21/1-2020 I get yet another email from Gigabyte, telling me that they have a new yet improved VBIOS for more performance and I should use that for testing. I nearly blew a gasket ! People thinking testing is fun and easy better rethink. I explained them testing HAD been done and the article was in the publishing process, but I would add to the review that a 2nd VBIOS for more performance has been released. So tomorrow we have an article online about the Gigabytes RX 5600XT Gaming OC, but where the performance isn't representative of the retail cards, nor do we know the true specifications of the card as to GPU and Vram MHz. Oh man this release from AMD is a real HEADACHE.
We are stuck at 1080p/60+fps at $200 for 10+ years, from 2020 and beyond it is time to be the 1440p/60+fps the mainstream $200.For me companies are milking and we are allow them doing it.For me if there is no product at 1440p/60+fps at 200$ it is not worth buying anything. Thanks in advance, keep up the good work!!! :)
I really like your review - one of the most 'Honest' I have seen (not playing to the religious followers, if you know what I mean). Do you have any idea when can we expect the next BIOS update of this RX-5600-XT, that will bring the memory bandwidth up to 256-bit and the re-ennoblement of the hidden 2gb of memory (thereby re-enabling it as the RX-5700 (which in reality, is exactly what it probably is)?
You gotta remember too you can probably use More Power Tool and unlock overclock limits on the 5600xt just like the 5700 and almost every card should do 2000mhz+ which works out to about 1920-1950mhz average in game. My 5700 does 2000mhz at 1.1v. Gives minimum 10% gain in performance and 15% in other games and benchmarks. That's without touching memory.
Tech YES, have you tried flashing a 5700xt BIOS to an aftermarket 5700 card? I would love to see a video on that, I hear that it pushes numbers almost reaching the stock 5700xt, and it would be a great benefit to those other price to performance seekers out there.
I did it with my 5700 Pulse and I get 5700XT scores in firestrike at the cost of more power and more heat (though the custom cooler can handle it). IMO there is no reason not to do it as you don't even need to flash the BIOS to do it, you can just use the more power tables mod
I use this GPU for my gaming rig alongside with the 3700X and it's an amazing experience. Yeah, I'm stuck with 1080p for now but seeing this, I now know that the games I want to play at 1440p will run easy over 60fps at high.
Another great video. I'm looking for a good low profile GPU. I know about the 1050 lp and the 1650 lp but are there any in the works that will surpass these?
Hey Yes man, with graphics cards having Zero RPM and does the Zero RPM feature cause some strain on the bearings (sporadically from 0 to 30%, jump from 30-50% according to temperature levels multiple times in a minute) vs to if I just let them run at a static speed?
Hi im looking to get a 5600xt. between the tuf 5600xt this or the sapphire 5600xt, which one you think would run cooler and quieter? Idont really care about the performance difference lol
Glad to see ASUS got their act together on this TUF version, gives me a good option for a future upgrade for my son's all TUF build. Bet these drop down close to $200 by next xmas/Bf.
Hmm.. Temps on the TUF looks better this time :) Looks like this may be the card to get, here in Denmark at least. Did look at a MSI Gaming Z or X.. but those cards for some reason are priced ~90 US$ more than the TUF o.0 weird stuff....
If that TUF has the same heatsink at the 5700 that concerns me. Bryan have you noticed bad temps or the heatsink separating from the PCB? Steve at HUB noticed this. Looks like in the benchmarks there weren't any problems
Tech Yes test it on a test bench. IIRC, the problem only appear if you put the cards on a regular way. Which is PCB on top, and the cooler facing down. But if you orient your motherboard horizontally just like in a test bench, or using a reverse ATX case. The problems seems doesn't exist.

Good luck taking chances... I bought the red devil for one game only (modern warfare) and can't even play it... I get a direct x 12 error message that will not keep my settings and crashes to the desktop drivers and software all up-to-date....So good Luck?
Agreed, also remember the 5700 can be overclocked to match a 5700XT which is between the 2060 Super and 2070 in terms of performance. Considering that there is ZERO reason to get the 5600XT
I bought the 5600XT for like 511 aud cause it already went on sale on pccasegear aha got the xfx thicc 3 pro i wish i could get the 5700 but was just too much out of my range and plus i only play 1080 so for me i think would be great but great review

717 AUD in England (converted) on pre-order where i shop and Amazon is even more of a Rip-Off , No wonder I/we buy so many 2nd hand parts in the UK , We always get price hikes on New Tech , SO annoying ....
They should lower the price of the 5600 XT to about $260 - 270 USD which should give it a bit more of a price difference from the 5700 as some stores in the US sell that for $320 - 340 and a month ago a couple of OEMs had a mail in rebate which brought the card down to $299 or 290 USD
I'm in the market for a new gpu to replace my 1050ti. Yesterday, the 1660ti was at the top of my list, but now? I will be making my purchase in a week to 10 days. Lets see what the prices do between now and then.
Hmm..yay.. I'll burn 400 for a card that I'll b be upgrading after a year... then after the next year I'll spend another 350 for a better cpu. Money burning gimmick... tech yes is awesome btw. Always great work
you don't have to upgrade all the time or every year y'know. Used the same gaming computer for 3 years and finally upgraded this week. Expecting it to last and play every game high above 60 for the next 2-3 years.
I dont trust any of the TUF models when it comes to GPUs. bought a GTX 1660 TUF OC model and that thing ran so fkn hot that it was reaching 86 to 90 degrees c just for playing games for an hour or two. I sold it already and is now using a GTX 1070 G1 from gigabyte and its working like a charm. it mostly does 64 ish degrees while playing games so I knew it wasnt a problem with my case's airflow (2x140mm front intake, 1x140mm top exhaust and 1x120mm rear exhaust)
I bash rtx everywhere I can but rtx 2060 dropping to 300, the 280 is unreasonable. And it makes you question the price of the 5700 too. The fuckers are not even trying, does not matter, happy to keep my 1070 for a couple of years.
Short conclusion : *AMD RX 5600XT is cheaper , better and faster then Nvidia's crappy RTX 2060 !* I love AMD, But i still believe that they should drop 30 to 50 bucks on their 5700xt , 5600xt , 5500xt , and drop the 5700 !
gertjan van der meij AMD Can’t just give their shit away like before. They still need money. They are smaller than both NVIDIA and intel which is 10x their size. Even Asus is bigger than amd.
Actually I kinda prefer these bleak boring looking cards, rather than try hard over the top appearance. Let's just be honest mate. Neither of us would buy that Hello Kitty or waifu themed graphic cards. Are you referring the cheap looking plastic fan? As long as it's works fine, then it's fine. I remember back then gigabyte put a metal fan on their top tier ( maybe ) GTX 980. Performance wise not even better, but reliability is somehow kinda worse. CMIIW tho
Hi Bryan, I have a question for question of the day. I've actually made selling PC's a hobby/side gig of mine in my area. Lots of people always want to test, but I don't exactly like setting people up in my house. Do you have any recommendations? Also, I have a B85-HD3 motherboard that sizzles and catches fire if you want that for can yes fix it!
Even as a fanboy with 2 complete AMD systems I gotta say: If its about equal on paper in price and performance go green cuz AMD's general driver stability, performance in opengl and older games is shyt compared to Nvidia. Us AMD fans deal with these little headaches cuz price/performance on paper is usually top notch but if thats not even there then why bother with the extra headaches?
@@Reyfox1 Shit, you probably don't expirment much. Run some opengl or older DX titles and you will see quickly. My 5700 xt OC cant even get 60 fps in games like Crysis 3 and is barely on par with a GTX 1030 in emulation. Its not hard to look around and see that drivers have just been a mess since launch.
@@Reyfox1 because most reviewer only test new triple A games. and that's also where AMD focus are with their driver optimization. but go outside that and you will start seeing the reason why nvidia able to maintain that 70% market share despite they are not value champion like AMD.

3rd gen i7 or r5 1400 which more future proof and good for gaming
R5 1400
Good video, or maybe not since I haven't even watched it completely
Like to see it vs the 2060 ko from evga
Used Vega 56 are going for $240! Yes it uses twice the power but $60 is $60!
probably an ex mining card no warranty no thanks
Just bought one for my budget build hopefully it runs Cod Warzone well
It will, I recommend playing on medium/high you get like 129 FPS
Asus TUF 5600xt probably better than their 5700 version then
is the cooler fixed because i wouldnt get it if it is as bad as the rx 5700xt
RTX 2060 is the GPU to buy.
I bash rtx everywhere I can but rtx 2060 dropping to 300, the 280 is unreasonable. And it makes you question the price of the 5700 too. The fuckers are not even trying, does not matter, happy to keep my 1070 for a couple of years.
Short conclusion : *AMD RX 5600XT is cheaper , better and faster then Nvidia's crappy RTX 2060 !*
I love AMD, But i still believe that they should drop 30 to 50 bucks on their 5700xt , 5600xt , 5500xt , and drop the 5700 !
cheaper but certainly not better.
gertjan van der meij AMD Can’t just give their shit away like before. They still need money. They are smaller than both NVIDIA and intel which is 10x their size. Even Asus is bigger than amd.
Nvidia still has a pretty good stronghold in the southern hemisphere. AMD needs to sort out its logistics down here
Are you noticing the cooler design on the newer graphics cards are kinda cheap and plain looking?

Please some help...
Gtx 1070 ti or rx 5600 xt same price here since i got that gtx on sale.
I own a freesync monitor.
buy 5600 xt if the ti is secondhand
@@robw7381 thanks for the opinion.
Gtx is a Galax and is brand new.
5600 xt all the way.
i feel for the peeps that bought the gimped versions of these cards...
You never buy a card at launch!
Even as a fanboy with 2 complete AMD systems I gotta say: If its about equal on paper in price and performance go green cuz AMD's general driver stability, performance in opengl and older games is shyt compared to Nvidia. Us AMD fans deal with these little headaches cuz price/performance on paper is usually top notch but if thats not even there then why bother with the extra headaches?
what headaches? Drivers? Not here! And with games being tested all over the place, not much mention about them either.
