I am from Russia. I have the opportunity to read the Western press and watch Western analysts. When I listen to them, I laugh because they are talking nonsense, they do not say a single word of truth. I assume that the leaders of Western countries are given the same false information, on the basis of which they make the wrong decisions.
you would be surprised, but 99% of "advanced" military stuff is running on hardware dating back to the Windows XP era... it takes almsot a decade for a new military equipment to pass development and a couple more years to pass military test, and then a couple more to get into production... i think you see where im getting at. So yes, these things like REALLY only need chips from a washing machine, considering how "smart" a washing machine is nowadays, makes you wonder the sanity of ANYONE who though mere sanctions gonna shut down russian weapons production.... especially when China, India and most of Southeast Asia never even took part in the sanctions (and by pure coincidence thats the region where the wast majority of manufacturing happen, aka. anything which dont exist in spreadsheets only).

The most impressive thing is that all the precision of the missile, its guidance system, was only possible due to the chips that the Russians wisely removed from the washing machines.
To be fair, it doesn't matter where a chip comes from. In the cold war, Speak & Spell toys were bought up by the USSR to re-use the chips for military purposes. The chips don't care what they're plugged into, they just calculate. Even the F-22 is running on chips which would be 1990's vintage if you tried to make a PC from them.
you would be scared at the staggering amount of dangerous chemicals or elements that you can scrap off ordinary things and use them to make nasty stuff
So... we have intercontinental ballistic shovels (or intermediate range ballistic shovels) with multiple independent re-entry subshovels, themselves each composed of several tablespoons, some of which (of course) are not actually filled with sugar but are in fact empty decoy tablespoons - and, in this case, there was no sugar at all? Not even a spoonful? How, then, does the medicine go down?
Don't mind what the Russians are saying about it being a Mach 10 and it flies 3.4km per second. That missile is way beyond Mach 10 from all indications, there is another vide of that missile breaking out of the cloud and striking the ground within a second or almost immediately. the distance from the cloud to the ground as everyone knows is way beyond 3.4km and this missile completed that distance in a split second. They are capping the speed at Mach 10 to manage the true capabilities of the missile but the missile demonstrated something far beyond Mach 10
At least 2 miles from the top of the cloud cover to the ground You can see when it enters the top of the cloud cover then within a second it's on the target. At least 1 country is still teaching Science
First of all, from the meteorology standpoint, the cloud base height above ground can be any from 0 to ~10 km. However, the Ukrainians said that their radars measured 11 Mach.
So Russia can’t build any reliable stealth technology, so they use ballistic missiles, with MIRVs to drop ordinance(tech that’s been around for decades) and he acts like it’s some new game changing tech. Do you realize that 1 stealth bomber can do more damage on a single run.(😊Russians can’t stop that either) It’s a pisspoor assymetric response.
One thing that was very creepy was how beautiful it looked. Like a sky clearing after a storm. I haven't seen anyone talking about this, probably because it does sound quite inappropriate. It's terrifying.
For me it was resembling this scene from Noe movie, when angles were dying and were summoned to heaven.. These bombs had similar effect but in opposite direction.
I personally participated in the development of “Oreshnik.” In early 2022, my washing machine and shovel were confiscated, and at the time, it was explained as being due to a new decree by Putin. I handed over two shovels and one washing machine. As it turned out later, thousands of washing machines, including mine, were meant to spin a container holding six boxes, each containing six shovels. The trajectory of their fall is calculated by our engineers on paper sheets, accounting for wind adjustments. Later, it was discovered that if the shovels are launched into the stratosphere, they can fall to the ground at a speed of 3 km/second. We have created a horrifying weapon-damn shovels. Who knew such power could be stored in them…

Have you noticed? The West has decided to only supply weapons that Russia routinely uses against Ukraine. So if Putin wants to try Western medium-range missiles that are, imagine that, also "hypersonic", let him continue with similar attacks. The Americans also have a few of these and may want to try them out.
Also, additional piece on naming: In pre-Soviet Russia kids were often punished by hitting their arses with... hazelnut sticks (=сorporal punishment). And hazelnut sticks were considered the best for correcting behavior of unruly kids. So it's really symbolic.
Putin notifying NATO of a hypersonic missile launch is like Ronda Rousey notifying her opponent that she will put them in an armbar. Even if they are notified in advance, they STILL cannot defend against it.
Remember lads, there were no bombs used in this missile, the Russian only had shovels and picks to attack with😆, It appears that dropping a shovel from high altitude and at mach 20 is a extremely lethal weapon.
remember guys - the Ukrainians did not have air defense - they had cans of cucumbers and therefore had to intercept the warheads with the whole factory. that plant was underground on several floors, with thick concrete ceilings, it was one of the largest underground production centers in all of Europe, and now let's take into account that the subsequent explosions took place in a closed space,so the explosions were many times more destructive than you imagine, the complex is completely destroyed, the Ukrainians have completely closed off ,as for the nut, it is probably much heavier than 100 kilograms with tungsten rods
Facility was 28 floors deep. The overpressure would have vaporized even concrete. Bottom two floors were for nuke warhead storage which would have been empty. Kinetics are the trend now ie tank sabot rounds. Russia has the ability now to destroy icbm silos, warhead storage, nuke waste storage, hardened underground facilities ie Cheyenne Mtn.
I'm still trying to figure out why everyone seems to think these were just kinetic impactors. America established full air dominance over Iraq during the first gulf war in less than two months. It took us two weeks to wipe out their air force, and two months to wipe our their air defense to the point we could fly un-escorted helicopters over their capital. @@Besedski Yes* it is certainly true that the symbolism is very old and has been interpreted in different ways. "We give you light and warmth" is the slogan of Russia's strategic missile forces. There is also Gazprom. It also gives light and warmth. But here everyone in the West will choose for himself what is closer to him.
They are not hypersonic missiles in the strict sense, but MIRVs, that is, a single missile carrying multiple warheads. Launching salvos of missiles with single warhead, will have the same effect, but hard to counter the same, as it was proven on videos, when Iran pounded Israel with several medium range ballistic missiles with a single warhead, landing them like those seen in Dnipro. The "Arrow 3" defense system has thrown in the towel.😂
Hyper sonics have been getting intercepted for years now. The only difference with this unit is the range, and the MIRV ability. This "attack" was carried out with dummy payloads in an experimental missile, and the USA was warned in advance. And now that the flight data is available thanks to radar installations, these can and will be intercepted in the future before they reach terminal phase and deploy their MIRVs. If you're only just getting scared now, it's because you haven't been paying attention
If I'm correct, its named Oreshnik not because the missiles incoming look like flowers but actually because in USSR or old russia times, judges and police officers used the Oreshnik tree's branches to whip the guilty with it since it was kind of flexible. So they named the missile Oreshnik because they'll use it on the "guilty". Note that I am NOT saying its true, but its just what I heard from a russian friend of mine who was born in USSR.
I think its is more simple than your explanation. On this hazel nut tree the nuts grow by bunches or sheaf (I'm not sure wjhat will be the correct word in english) of 3-6 pieces. So I guess this is kind of represent the number of falling warheads.
Correction. THAAD cannot intercept terminal phase re-entry vehicles going hypersonic. It can only intercept ICBMs and IRBM in the boost and space cruise phase, not terminal! And given this new IRBM flies at a lower trajectory, by the time THAAD's radar can spot it, the MIRV warheads are released, gg. It is not possible for interception. The Russians cannot do it, the Chinese cannot do it and certainly US THAAD cannot. Note, THAAD during US trials failed to intercept old US Minuteman dummies even when they knew ahead of time where its coming from.
That's not all. You can't shoot down a rocket at launch either." First, a container starts with a rocket inside, then a rocket takes off from the container.
Russia can somewhat do it with it's own system that protects Moscow, because it has an almost instant acceleration to several km/s, and a nuclear warhead.
And from what I’ve learned from the military is that even then it’s very sorry extremely limited on what it can actually stop. Granted it will stop some but definitely not all and yes they will get through. Scary times.

They are capping the speed at Mach 10 to manage the true capabilities of the missile but the missile demonstrated something far beyond Mach 10

The trajectory of their fall is calculated by our engineers on paper sheets, accounting for wind adjustments. Later, it was discovered that if the shovels are launched into the stratosphere, they can fall to the ground at a speed of 3 km/second. We have created a horrifying weapon-damn shovels.
Я против. that plant was underground on several floors, with thick concrete ceilings, it was one of the largest underground production centers in all of Europe, and now let's take into account that the subsequent explosions took place in a closed space,so the explosions were many times more destructive than you imagine, the complex is completely destroyed, the Ukrainians have completely closed off ,as for the nut, it is probably much heavier than 100 kilograms with tungsten rods
God save humanity. While hoping for immediate negotiations, hope it doesn’t come to Africa,(the unjungled continent)
Facility was 28 floors deep. The overpressure would have vaporized even concrete. Bottom two floors were for nuke warhead storage which would have been empty. Hyper sonics have been getting intercepted for years now. The only difference with this unit is the range, and the MIRV ability. This "attack" was carried out with dummy payloads in an experimental missile, and the USA was warned in advance.
What does THAAD stand for again?
And from what I’ve learned from the military is that even then it’s very sorry extremely limited on what it can actually stop. Granted it will stop some but definitely not all and yes they will get through. Scary times.

Elensky: the Yushmash missile plant just experimented a new ballistic missile!
The Yushmasch plant successfully intercepted a hypersonic shovel.
It's good meth according to Zelensky 😂
I can see them reversing the footage or using some video game footage😂
🤭😆😄🤣
lol… what a crock… we’re noises added?
My understanding was that Russia already had ballistic missiles with nuclear war heads that could go anywhere.. what’s the news…
Just propaganda
I couldn't agree with you more, my brother. This whole thing has gotten way out of hand and this war is completely unnecessary. 99% of Americans don't have any aspirations to want to take over the world like the nutjobs who are in power over here do.
Tidak takut karena belum terjadi bro 😂
Looks like Oden throwing down bolts of lighting !
From the cloud ceiling height at the time and the time it took to hit the ground, it looks to be traveling around 8000 mph hour and I think they were high density projectiles, possibly tungsten or similar based on plasma trails/sheaths.
This alone, is a highly destructive weapon, as is and possibly used to show penetration ability.
