Can't wait to fall asleep with this for the next month. It's not to say that it's boring, but i've been sleeping with your DS2 video for months, it's so chill & relaxing, i shut off my mind & fall into the stories & sleep, eventually.
So crazy u can sleep to this, but I guess u can sleep to almost anything if your tired enough. Assuming 90% of all this is correct, my main thought as I finish this vid is... what a DAMN shame. I love the mystery of everything in FROM games up to a point. BUT the insane amount of history and events which build this perfect house of cards, with the tarnished as the one to finally topple the fragile, foundational stalemate, NEEDS TO BE IN THE GAME. This is like, 5 MAIN story lines, in one game. Imho, I think they should have taken just a bit of resources of the top, and as a new feature, put a "LORE" option on the main title screen. You go to it and its the Elden Ring Symbol with shiny dots everywhere and the player could unlock each one via a fully finished quest, and when said quest is 100% completed, it unlocks a slideshow (like the intro), but explaining IN DETAIL the quest you finished, and what an accomplished feeling it would be, to unlock all idk, 100 of them, which gives u a final TRUE ENDING, explaining the MAIN beginning and end to the story of the lands between, and your part in it (basically this amazing vid)... of course, I imagine certain UA-camrs would not like this idea, considering they would have to pivot their entire channels, lol.
@@briankeys5941 I'm surprised to hear people saying this. I think most characters are good but as a whole? Nowhere near thier best work. I respect what you said though

I think, that I'll speak on behalf of all Elden Ring players when I say, that watching this and listening to this intriguing presentation of its lore and story, greatly deepens our overall enjoyment of the game. No matter, if someone is a lore enthusiast, is just interested in the story or plays the game "only" for its amazing game design, which is the staple of Fromsoft's creations, having the substantial understanding of its lore, which this video provides, must and surely will enhance the enjoyment this masterpiece of a game brings us all. The experience of playing a game is always much better when you understand the motives and motivations of the actions of its characters and your own. It is always better, if you know why is the world you are in, in its current state, what is your purpose in it and why you are set to achieve certain goals. And even though, compared to previous Fromsoft's games, Elden Ring is much better in voicing these things to the player and is much more straightforward in its storytelling (at least to the point, that everyone is able to understand the basics of what they're supposed to do and why they're doing it), players must still look pretty thoroughly for the underlying context and history of major but also minor characters, the world as a whole and its individual locations (which is very well Fromsoft's standard). However, not many have the will and/or time to devote themselves to looking for all the clues and hints hidden in the item descriptions and pieces of the story and lore scattered throughout the world or brought up in an often cryptic and allegoric dialogue. That's why I'm extremely grateful for content creators like this, who do all the "hard work" for us and bring us all the key, major, interesting and hidden lore information in a comprehensive and interesting way. Otherwise, this was an amazing video, and a really easy way to follow the story!
Thanks for the documentary of this game. This was my first souls game and I had no idea what was going on in the story. All I was trying to do was win.
I can imagine the shattering and the backstory as a tv show. I reckon Serosh would probably be victim of a bit of a budget constraint. He'd probably be a cool white lion that'd follow Godfrey around
I like the calming nature of these lore videos, but also liked how there was a bit more emotion in the commentary of the earlier videos. Still love these videos though.
Just found your channel earlier today i truly don't know how i didnt come across you before since im always lookinh up lore for souls/bloodborne. Just wanna say your videos are absolutely amazing gonna watch them all in order bur first gonna watch this. Actually I will probably do sekiro next since thats one of my all time favorites and there isint much lore videos ive seen on it
Radagon was grafted into Marika most probably similar to how sarosh was grafted into Godfrey and the golden lineage who did perfect grafting during the golden age and was lost after the shattering which is why godrick is grafting himself to replicate what the golden lineage used to do.
What an amazing story.. I prefer stories like these rather than cinematic stories like last of us !! These are so fascinating and immersive and ties fully to the gameplay... Great narratiion and clarity!!
Ranni has always seemed like the villain of the story to me. I still can find 0 reason for Godwyn to be killed that can be at all justified. Such a shame the game doesn’t let you kill her Edit: Fantastic video btw as always! Hate is only intended towards Ranni, only love and support your way
It was to set forth the chain of events that enable Ranni to follow her destiny. Marika rebels because godwyn wasnt protected. Leading to the her/radagon’s lockup, leading to the vulnerability of the golden order and and opening for Ranni to advance
Yeah like I understand why she wanted to break free but in doing so she doomed so many lives. Ultimately her ego pride and greed drove her to virtually ruining the world. Was her freedom and desire for a kingdom of her own worth it?
Congrats for this amazing video! it's the first time I manage to follow the whole story without getting distracted or not understanding the reasons behind certain actions. Thank you!

Hate to be that guy but you guys literally skipped multiple entire eons and epochs of the lands between, check out smoughtown's timeline perspective (with which I also have qualms) for some more backstory on the world itself, and quelaag's videos on literally all of elden ring, she just presents objective facts unless she states otherwise so her videos are always incredibly useful. Otherwise, this was an amazing video, and a really easy way to follow the story!
I know this is a year old comment but this vid is good to those who wants a starter knowledge in elden ring game lore.
Thanks for the documentary of this game. This was my first souls game and I had no idea what was going on in the story. All I was trying to do was win.
The animations are so godly in this game, especially seeing actions in slow motion really emphasize this fact
Amazing job guy’s! Fantastic video! This was very worth the wait. Now I’m just like … “What’s the next story explained video going to be about?”
There is more to be told in Elden Ring’s story, stay tuned!
Okay this was great, also love all the dramatic edits made with gameplay, thats a really good touch
This is an high quality and complete video! Best I have seen yet on elden ring! Continu your good work !
That’s very kind of you, we’re glad you enjoyed the video! ♥️
This is one of the best games ever made.
Ain't no way I was hoping you prob will make this happens n you uploads this lmfaoo let's goo!
Idk why your theories makes more sense to me than vaatividyas. And you dont milk the stuff alot too. Thank you for your work .
Happy Thanksgiving everyone 🦃
Happy Thanksgiving to you too! ♥️
Let's get it boys!
Damn this is a beautiful done video!
SO excited! I've been waiting for this! Great work as always guys!

@@Thebrotherscode it's well deserved, thank you for the experience
THERE IT IS, VERY NICE
*Elden Ring Lore Video
*sees it's over 1 hour long
"oh yea, its second monitor plus gaming time"
And the Academy Award for Best Documentary goes to...
I can imagine the shattering and the backstory as a tv show.
I reckon Serosh would probably be victim of a bit of a budget constraint. He'd probably be a cool white lion that'd follow Godfrey around
Time to listen while I sleep. Keep it up boys!
Actually I will probably do sekiro next since thats one of my all time favorites and there isint much lore videos ive seen on it
this was probably the best structured storytelling of such a complex story i have ever listened to.
This has been the most concise and helpful explanation of the lore I have yet to run into. Thank you.
This was well put together! I usually watch lore videos on backround but this is well worth a watch. Great lore video guys!
very clear story telling and all info is visible so its not confusing. thank you
Radagon was grafted into Marika most probably similar to how sarosh was grafted into Godfrey and the golden lineage who did perfect grafting during the golden age and was lost after the shattering which is why godrick is grafting himself to replicate what the golden lineage used to do.
What an amazing story.. I prefer stories like these rather than cinematic stories like last of us !! These are so fascinating and immersive and ties fully to the gameplay... Great narratiion and clarity!!
Your video timings are just brilliant this again has helped me through my finals keep up the amazing work can't wait for part 2.
Ranni has always seemed like the villain of the story to me. I still can find 0 reason for Godwyn to be killed that can be at all justified. Such a shame the game doesn’t let you kill her
Edit: Fantastic video btw as always!
I have arrived to say I again can not get enough of your content, and job well done again!!!!!
Thank you so much, your continued support means so much to us! ♥️
Y'all videos are the best
Lore ASMR genre when?!
This is superb for sleep, ty.
Congrats for this amazing video! it's the first time I manage to follow the whole story without getting distracted or not understanding the reasons behind certain actions. Thank you!
That’s great to hear, we’re glad that the video was able to fulfil its purpose. Thank you for watching! ♥️
