I agree. I chose to see it as a description, instead of an insult. But I understand why others see it as an insult especially when built with context, or on intention to insult the other person. This is easier said than done, but changing perspective about how you're called "fat" helps greatly. Fat itself is neither good or bad. Now, carrying an EXCESS fat is dangerous. What is your choice? To allow yourself go worse, or do something about it?
Well, the context determines whether it's a insulting or not. Context, tone and intention matter. In what context would it be useful to point out how fat someone is? Very rarely, if at all.
I agree. But as someone who has struggled with an ed I hate being called thin (or anything associated with my weight). It's not hard to respect someone not wanting to have their weight be brought to their attention..
Yeah aren't people supposed to be proud to be fat? Then why are you offended when people call you fat? Lol. If someone calls me what I want to look like even in a negative way it doesn't bother me, it makes me feel good

I played the game, and it is both, men and women having a makeover in the game. Also both of them are more likely to just be tired and too busy and love the makeover. It just reminds me the fun we had with people getting makeovers and being happy about them irl many many years ago.
Exactly. 99% of them are stressed people in a bad spot (lost their home, being socially awkward, overwhelmed with work and family life). Nothing about it is fatphobic whatsoever.

Honestly the ads are so misleading to. The app is literally a matching game where you makeover a person's room and their style not even their body size. Honestly I love it it's great! Edit: Fun fact the game actually had both men and women getting makeovers where they also get facials, shave their facial hair, and change their whole entire look
That news anchor is a true icon. Bless her and her bada$$ confidence. No matter your weight or appearance, people unhappy with themselves will always find problems with you, and she handled it perfectly.
People really take it to an extreme both ways. On the one hand we've got the body positivity community saying things like, "I'm beautiful, gorgeous, and healthy". No gives an F if you're pretty, but you're def not healthy. And on the other hand overweight/obese people will get criticised for literally just spending a day at the beach, doing private things, wearing what they want and will get called obesity promoters, when that's not that they're doing.
Lol, I actually play that game and found it through an ad, not the ones displayed, but a "revenge makeover" after being cheated on. It's not bad honestly. It's like candy crush, but you use the money to renovate houses and clean up the people
I was watching your video and my 14 year old walked in, noticed your biceps, and then said “Wow... she’s strong... like, really strong. I bet she could thrown down.” 💚 I agreed. 💪🏽
"One doesn't have to be pretty to get someone to like you" is something a pretty girl would say OR that person hasn't had enough interaction with humans in their life because humans naturally like pretty things and pretty people.
Yeh we are attracted to pretty things but doesnt mean average people are unlikeable? Romantic wise I've seen plenty of relationships with one more conventionally attractive person and an average person. People naturally gravitate towards extroverted and charismatic people so..... 🙄
I used to get mad at adds like that, but because of the sheer incompetence you'd see in them. Like, Debra, the last block goes right there, RIGHT THERE. Now I just remember that it's all a ploy to get me to play, and I ignore it. Gotta save my anger for more important shit.
I see these types of game ads all over the place, where the "player" is terrible at the makeover, or getting the fish the water, or whatever the story is. They're designed to irritate you and get you to download the game so you can do it right and feel accomplished. It's a marketing ploy, and it should be easy to realize the game is not about making girls cry by giving them horrible makeovers. But it seems like anything depicting fat girls as anything less than goddesses must be canceled! I'm a fat girl, and I could care less about this perceived offense. I choose to accept the fact the I am fat and that I am risking my health my being so, and I continually put effort towards getting healthier. I feel stronger by not giving up, not by trying to deny my situation and make the world agree with me over scientific evidence!
I'll admit, I was hesitant to watch your videos the 1st time they showed up in my algorithm. You are awesome! I love how you don't tip toe around the truth. Keep it going!
They are just doing the usual mobile game add of showing the “fail” state. I guess seeing someone play a game poorly makes people more likely to download and play the game themselves since they don’t get the satisfaction of seeing a level cleared.
I hate when my 6 year old gets these mobile ads when she's playing her games. "Body shaming" ones like this I am worried will normalize acting like a bully and making fun of people despite my teaching her not to behave that way, and I do wish there was a way I could block them. HOWEVER, grown adults should not be weeping over this shite lol
Since I’ve started watching you, I’ve lost 20 pounds and I’ve never felt better. Thank you so much for making these videos and giving me something awesome to watch why I do my cardio💕
*Talking Fat Head:* Offended- I remember when this story came out years ago and was annoyed by the troll. She wasn't making HAES claims to the public to my knowledge; she's doing her job reporting the news. Props to Jennifer for handling the troll the way she did. P.S.: Sister-Sister and Degrassi TNG were the ish. *Badads (Body-Shaming Edition):* Not Offended- it's a mobile app; it's not that deep. Saying Project Makeover promotes body-shaming is like saying Mortal Komabt promotes violence. I do agree with the comment that PM should make an ad where a guy tries to change himself for a woman (or man). To anyone who gets the "Badads" reference, hi, Greg!
"Chewbacca would never shave his luscious locks"... 🤣🤣😭💀 Edit: just got to the SpongeBob part... Literally one of me and my families favorite episodes we make that joke all the time with our junk foods lol
Can I just say that Project Makeover is super fun. I can't get enough of this game. It's more than fun and in no way demeaning. Granted the commercials are very deceiving of what the game is really about. In no way is the game about pleasing strangers, it's about helping someone who is down on their luck and bringing out their natural beauty and fixing up their place.
I uh... downloaded project makeover on a whim a little while ago and now I’m on level 260. The gameplay is legit just standard match 3 puzzle games with some different mechanics to shake things up a bit. The characters you help don’t ever say anything negative regarding your choices even if they clash like hell and the reason why you’re helping these characters in the first place is helping them find confidence in themselves and I just really like coordinating clothing and interior design lol
Can people leave news anchors alone? The one that was “too fat” had a bomb personality and the too curvy one had hair and fashion goals, the haters could never. So the “fat shaming” ads are too much but not the ones where women are im harams and sex slaves and throw away their children because they are too ugly? I personally love the Ads that offend people because they are so damn trolly. Why does anyone care, most of ya’ll aren’t gonna download them anyway? 😂
🤣🤣those ADs are wild,1 had a girl completely covered in hair and she has to go on a date and starts getting ready.. I'm always stunned at those ADs like I hope the game is better than this
@@daniellesibiya9826 lol😂😂 the game is a lot better, I don't understand why they feel the need to click-bait with adds. The game is actually good enough to be advertised as is. The advertisements are crazy. 😂😂
I've actually been playing Project Makeover lately and the game has no situations like what they show in their ads. From what I've seen it's just about helping people boost their self esteem by improving their environment and of course giving them a makeover/spa day. Literally none of the choices they give you are negative or go wrong like in the ads and there's no shaming either. Honestly I've come to love this game.
I used to play these types of games all the time when I was really young. I remember going on girlsgogames and love playing these types of games. I was not bothered at all by the “makeover” games and, as far as I can tell, they never really hurt me in any way. I'm pretty fine with my body and get self conscious occasionally, but that's just because of my social anxiety and doesn't really have anything to do with the games I played when I was a fetus.
Legit the moment I started getting ads for that game I was thinking “i know the body positivity movement is going to blow up over this game. Wonder how long it’ll take Michelle to make a video about it.” Thank you for this. 💜
@@devillass6025 The people complaining that the game is sexist or something. The woman is saying "Why isn't there a game where man shave body hairs, dress well, clean themselves" and stuff but that's actually stuff I do regularly so I can only imagine that people like her don't want to put any efforts on themselves.
@@dorothymontrose6371 You see, this is the difference between someone with a good self esteem and someone with little to none of it. I don't do those things because others expect me to, I do it because it makes me feel better about myself. The way you're putting it, you make it sound like you're trying to get back at the opposite sex for not being attracted by someone that doesn't shave instead of not doing it because it makes you feel better about yourself.
These same people complaining about curvy news anchors haven’t watch the news on Mexican television. They sure get views though, even from non-Spanish speakers lol
There's a whole genre of mobile game ads where the game is played really badly, it's meant to make the viewer frustrated so they go download and play it "right". So I'm pretty sure that's what these ads are meant to do, the characters and viewer get frustrated because the ad player isn't actually cleaning up the character.
You and Danae are my two favorites in the genre of body honesty. I consider your channel body "positive" also, because you tell it like it is, truthfully, just like Danae. No bullshit. Just in different areas and ways.
I just found your videos yesterday and I've watched so many already. You're so funny and smart and your views are a breath of fresh air in this professionally offended society. Subscribed!
Why haven't I found you earlier? THAT is offending..... So sick of all the bs people pour out these days in the name of something that should be a good cause. Thank you for being honest and refreshing!!!!
This is the reason why I watched Univision and Telemundo (spanish news) we the audience don't make a big deal about how attractive, curvy, big etc the news caster or weather girls are. I seen advertisements for that project makeover really didn't think anything of it. Thanks for the video Michelle.
I play Project Makeover. And it has nothing to do with making a man happy. Like one makeover is for a recent college grad and you give her and her apt a makeover. Then another one was for a man that has an autoshop. Both him and the autoshop gets a makeover. Idk why they use this wildly off base ad. So dumb.
I love the game. Its nothing like the commercials. Has both men and women they make over. They also do rooms with the person they're helping. It's really a great game. Ps I love you Michelle. You're an inspiration to me.
The game does have men. It’s kinda like a queer eye type narrative, fixing up someone’s house and look and the characters say positive stuff. I was kinda wanting to play the dumb thing I saw in the ad. But this is better. Also you have to solve puzzles to get to the next step which is random, but ok.
Michelle you are really inspiring me to start working out again! Lately I haven't been able to get the motivation to do so but I would love to look like you!
Yoshi's sitting there like, " moms I can't get fat cuz you ain't even given me my million treats! WTF?" 😹 poor Yoshi, asked for noms and got a brother instead.
Not even half way through the video and you are just the best kind of person! Using logic and context to think about what your stance is on every situation instead of just screaming one side to an echo chamber. Ok, this is my favorite channel 🤩
I keep seeing game ads like this in general, not just for this game; they're honestly just being obnoxious for attention, nothing to really cry over. Do the people complaining about this crap not have hobbies?
Hi Michelle I litereally battle major depression and binge eating because of it and my anxiety which increased now during covid. I also now battle drug addiction and always cry when I try to motivate myself to become healthy and fit lifestyle my boyfriend is a healthy fit guy and I get hard on myself cause I try to gain strengths to try a healthier lifestyle cause he stated if I looked and eat better it would help alot with my mood disorders which effect me negatively i.e drug use and unhealthy eating. I have to say I came across you channel it has helped alot to feel better about life on the other side and I love that I found you litereally help me so much mentally and wanted to thank you and would for you to know that. You saying something about people commenting on people just living life reminded me of a story. When I was like 7 months pregnant, this grown man walked up to me in the store. He was like are you pregnant? I was obviously pregnant...so I was just like yeah. He looks at my stomach and says you are HUGE! Are you going to give birth right here?!?! I just stared and blinked at this guy. I was like wtf? Who says that? I just walked away. My hormonal self would have ran him over with my cart if I hadn't. Why do people feel the need to point out how big you are when you're pregnant?! Do you not value your life? Pregnant women have very little filter or restraint.

I was watching your video and my 14 year old walked in, noticed your biceps, and then said “Wow... she’s strong... like, really strong. I bet she could thrown down.” 💚 I agreed. 💪🏽
for the amount of effort you put into your videos you are WAYYYY too underrated. I've always loved your cosplays and editing style
How much you wanna bet the guy who wrote in isn't much of a good "example" of health for young boys 🤭
"One doesn't have to be pretty to get someone to like you" is something a pretty girl would say OR that person hasn't had enough interaction with humans in their life because humans naturally like pretty things and pretty people.
So true!
Yeh we are attracted to pretty things but doesnt mean average people are unlikeable? Romantic wise I've seen plenty of relationships with one more conventionally attractive person and an average person.
People naturally gravitate towards extroverted and charismatic people so..... 🙄
@@kaz1819 Yup, extroverted and charismatic would fall in the "pretty people" category.
@@stressbucket9846 ugh im introvwrted and cranky. Im doomed
@@danan9061 you are kinda funny and self reflecting by commenting this 😜 people like that too
I used to get mad at adds like that, but because of the sheer incompetence you'd see in them. Like, Debra, the last block goes right there, RIGHT THERE. Now I just remember that it's all a ploy to get me to play, and I ignore it. Gotta save my anger for more important shit.
Your proposal of, "And everybody can just cry!" as a kind of solution really encapsulates your greatness.
The only thing that offends me is Brittany dawns eyelashes... they are truly tragic. I can't wait for the video😂
I like the lashes
@@siaraormilo Brittany Dawns ones? Then it’s just you and her buddy.
Fellow Greg! ❤️
Love love love Degrassi. Was my childhood lol 🤘🏻🔥😂
"Chewbacca would never shave his luscious locks"... 🤣🤣😭💀
Edit: just got to the SpongeBob part...
I used to get them non stop as UA-cam ads. I would yell at my phone, "I dont want to play you."
I like project makeover... & Honestly the advertisements are nothing like the game😂😂😂
🤣🤣those ADs are wild,1 had a girl completely covered in hair and she has to go on a date and starts getting ready.. I'm always stunned at those ADs like I hope the game is better than this
It's addicting.
I mean have you seen the ads for the consort>>empress games? Crazy but so ridiculous that it’s too funny to be offensive
@@daniellesibiya9826 lol😂😂 the game is a lot better, I don't understand why they feel the need to click-bait with adds. The game is actually good enough to be advertised as is. The advertisements are crazy. 😂😂
Same, I’m pretty sure the first chapter was a guy. I personally don’t find the game offensive but the ad is very misleading
I downloaded it and am playing it now. Lol. It's kinda fun but it's nothing like it was shown here. I am actually kinda disappointed it looked funny!
holy shit, you’re glowing 🥺

Major props to the news anchor that spun it into an anti-bulling message!
Funny how some people expect others to like them despite the fact they're not doing anything to be liked
What are you referring to?
@@devillass6025 The people complaining that the game is sexist or something. The woman is saying "Why isn't there a game where man shave body hairs, dress well, clean themselves" and stuff but that's actually stuff I do regularly so I can only imagine that people like her don't want to put any efforts on themselves.
@@fieryelf body hair is completely natural though... and nobody should be expected to shave it
@@dorothymontrose6371 You see, this is the difference between someone with a good self esteem and someone with little to none of it. I don't do those things because others expect me to, I do it because it makes me feel better about myself. The way you're putting it, you make it sound like you're trying to get back at the opposite sex for not being attracted by someone that doesn't shave instead of not doing it because it makes you feel better about yourself.
These people are sensitive af. The game actually does have men getting made over and getting nose hairs plucked 😂😂
These same people complaining about curvy news anchors haven’t watch the news on Mexican television. They sure get views though, even from non-Spanish speakers lol
I'm from Australia so I haven't seen any Mexican news clips that haven't gone viral but yeah them girls are curvey af
"Good God, Lemon! Those jeans make you look like a Mexican sports reporter." lol
There's a whole genre of mobile game ads where the game is played really badly, it's meant to make the viewer frustrated so they go download and play it "right". So I'm pretty sure that's what these ads are meant to do, the characters and viewer get frustrated because the ad player isn't actually cleaning up the character.
Yoshi isn’t fat, she’s fit (in process). 😂😂
I'm not offended, just disgusted by Project Makeover. I would like to play a game that is more realistic.
Subscribed!
the project makeover ads offend me because i keep seeing them in every mobile game i play and i'm sick of them 😂
"WRONG" made me cackle. Girl, I love you so much XD i binge your videos more than I used to binge taco bell
Guys I'm so offended she's never offended me with her content omfg I'M WAITINGGGG
My problem with the game ads. It's almost ALL false advertising. Like, can y'all not?
I've seen comments on pages that sell clothing and the amount of trolls that appear whenever a woman that's on the thicker side is high
So dumb.
This game shows me during lockdown😂😂😂 I have really become the hairy, fat chick buahahah😂
People have plumb lost their minds. Thank you Michelle!
Me reading the title: LET THE GAMES BEGIN!
I love the game. Its nothing like the commercials. Has both men and women they make over. They also do rooms with the person they're helping. It's really a great game. Ps I love you Michelle. You're an inspiration to me.

17:46 LMAO. I did not see that coming. Maybe it's a love and hate sorta relationship they have with the app. Some people like it toxic.
The game does have men. It’s kinda like a queer eye type narrative, fixing up someone’s house and look and the characters say positive stuff. I was kinda wanting to play the dumb thing I saw in the ad. But this is better. Also you have to solve puzzles to get to the next step which is random, but ok.
The way you angrily read that last comment made me lol
Michelle you are really inspiring me to start working out again! Lately I haven't been able to get the motivation to do so but I would love to look like you!
Yoshi's sitting there like, " moms I can't get fat cuz you ain't even given me my million treats! WTF?" 😹 poor Yoshi, asked for noms and got a brother instead.
I’m offended that you thought Gerald Broflovski is STAN’s dad 😜
Not even half way through the video and you are just the best kind of person! Using logic and context to think about what your stance is on every situation instead of just screaming one side to an echo chamber. Ok, this is my favorite channel 🤩
Gosh I've been so obessed with you lately, I've binged half your channel, you literal QUEEN 👑
I keep seeing game ads like this in general, not just for this game; they're honestly just being obnoxious for attention, nothing to really cry over. Do the people complaining about this crap not have hobbies?
As soon as I saw these ads I wondered who I would see to cover it first lol
(Also love seeing your cosplays.
I watched the news in my teens because I had a major girl crush on one of the anchors.
