Haven't been riding for over ten years and even then it was cruisers/v twins, and the fact I am about to turn 75 yr I have decided that live or die I will go out with a smile on my face. So I am about to put a new 2022 blk Hyabusa in my drive. Let's live while we can. Greetings from North Georga USA.
Just bought one. 2023 model in gloss sparkle black with 1,600 miles on the clock. Came with Yoshi cans and tailtidy - won't be doing anything else to this bike.. don't need to. Shes a beauty, I'm loving the bike so far and I've owned Gixxer 1000s, ZX10, R1s and my last bike was an MT10
That's awesome mate. What a great bike. Definitely still on my dream garage list. The weather getting there to enjoy it to the max as well. Enjoy! Cheers 🍻
Just purchased my 2022 in Silver/red...picking it up tomorrow Tuesday Dec 14, 2021. Had a 2013 and loved it. I am sure it will be another great experience, even though I am already 54 years old and used to ADV bikes (which I will still keep mine). THANKS FOR THE VIDEO.
How are you liking your new Busa? I have a Ninja 650 and am tempted to upgrade to the new Hayabusa. I commute to work some days and am interested it due to it looking really stable on the highway (besides it being awesome, in general 😁👍)
I've had mine for 2 weeks, and even though it's got less hp and more weight than a modern litre bike that forward thrust from the big 1340cc engine is something else... it's like never ending torque from 5000 rpm up. I noticed that every single reviewer on the gen3 Busa starts giggling like a little child when they hit the throttle. Even if they're used to R1 or Gixxer 1000. 😁
100%. Its a cracking bike and the torque is just immense and I didn't give full power at any time as I just didn't have the space really. 150nm is incredible. Hopefully you can see I was fair with it and my reactions and after that ride I think with the exception of maybe the exhaust, seat and screen she's perfect just how she is. In fact if I were to get another superbike I would probably get the Hayabusa as it's size is perfect for me. Great machine and more should give her a try rather than obsessing over power figures. For the roads it's incredible. Superb machine! Enjoy mate. Cheers 🍻
@@Revviews I don’t know about the UK, but in the USA the top speed limit is 85-mph. If you’re caught doing 30-mph over the limit, then it’s a felony with loss of license and massive fines. So whether it’s top speed is either 190-mph or 200-mph is kind of a moot point. Most of the enjoyment is in the mid range acceleration anyway. 😎 FJB 🖕🇨🇳
@Barack Blows absolutely, all about the mid range. Too risky to pin it for top end anywhere. Although I'm sure we all give it a try every now and then. Thanks mate. FJB 🫡 Cheers 🍻

Thank you mate, she a cracking bike and I meant what I said in that I would have one. Being taller and big for me its like buying the usual litre superbikes in my size, XXXL 😆 cheers 🍻
Nice review again mate. 👏 I agree, think it's one of the best superbikes for the road. Swap for a full exhaust system and a few carbon bits and you can probably drop up to 20KG. That will make it a weapon, even before you start tuning.
yeah 100%. ive seen a few videos on youtube recently where they have been converted to drag bikes and shaved off loads of weight plus added crazy HP, plus turbos!
If you can read the speedometer, you can always watch the delay between each electric pole and compare with the delay of other cars. You assume they respect the speed limit on this road and you make a rule of three with the ratio time between each pole and speed.
I was glad to hear you say you’re 6-4! I’m also 6-4 and for years I’ve always thought i was too big for a sport bike, so i opted for cruisers and Harley tourers. Now at 55 idk??
I've had R1s and GSXRs that I got on with for the rush, but the Hayabusa is like clothes shopping for our size, if that makes any sense? Maybe not a perfect fit, but much better. It was surprisingly comfortable with plenty of adjustment options too. Your knees might feel a little cramped to begin with but that soon goes. Again things can be adjusted. However if I were to get the itch for a superbike again I would probably get a Hayabusa. That induction noise and engine note doesn't get old. Cheers 🍻
@@Revviews You're welcome. I did a test ride on a Gen 3 when the dealers first had them. Really tough choice for me between this and the H2 SX. Both really great bikes.
@@jeremytucker9864 You might have seen I just changed my XR to a 2021 Z H2. Best thing I ever did. So much fun. Doing a full review on that next before it's not so stock anymore. Lol.
@@awesomeagnihotrisvlog yes I’ve only ridden for max two hrs, but no problems it’s just so smooth and feel very planted and stable when b be pushing it:)
Great to watch this review. I must say I am somewhat confused about the weight that everyone speaks of. I currently ride a BMW k1600GT which weighs a lot more 736lbs and don’t find it to be an issue. I recently ordered a new Gen 3 because it was nearly 200 lbs lighter then the BMW. Furthermore many speak of long wheelbase yet it is 5 inches shorter then the K, so forgive me but I suspect it will be a welcomed change from the big 6 cylinder. I was looking for a new motorcycle to do my Sunday runs with a little more fun factor. Now into my 60’s I suspect it will deliver and the weight savings will be welcomed when moving around. I understand that if the riding position is too aggressive for a couple of hundred $ one can lower foot pegs and raise bars creating the perfect riding position. Eagerly awaiting for the snow to melt :) Cheers
Hi David, thank you for watching mate and I appreciate your support. Yeah I don't think the weight will be an issue at all. This is basically a superbike in XXL sizing 😃 I genuinely meant what I said in that I would get one of these if I had the money and space. Cracking machine and I hope you really enjoy your mate. Cheers 🍻
Hi David! I am in a similar situation. I am 69, and been riding since the 1970's. I had the 2007 K1200 full faring w/ ~160 hp. It was the full faired version. The model had a shit ton of problems. In those years, for whatever reason BMW did not make very good bikes. In those days the king of go fast was the K12R. It was a naked bike w/ ~ 160 hp but less than 100 ft lbs of torque. It was cool to ride. However being naked it had its drawbacks. They also had the K1200RS. It had a faring... but it just like my full faring machine suffered from many design flaws. This Gen 3 Busa seems to fix all that was wrong with those bikes plus be significantly more powerful. I really am looking forward to how you like your new GEN 3. Please let us know! THANK YOU ! Cheers, David
@@davidfalgout7304 Hello David, Are you riding a new Gen 3 now then? Funny thing is my BMW K1600GT has been flawless, its not the bike for me so much as the additional weight, let alone of course the additional bulk of the BMW. The Gen 3 is so much slimmer and shorter then the K1600 - its amazing. Example: BMW is 91.5 " Long 39.4 Wide, WB 63.7 Weight 740 lbs - Busa 85.8 Long, 28.9 Wide, WB 58.3, Weight 580 lbs - Night and day difference - should be easy to move around the Busa, not near as wide and honestly the slightly more forward riding position will and should be better on the tailbone and or back as we age gracefully :) I did get a call on Friday from the dealer saying they had been invoiced - so I am only a week or two away from possibly getting my bike - Albeit I wont be able to ride it - 3 feet of snow but still the dealer needs it for a few days to prep and install all of the accessories - I ordered basically every one from Suzuki :) I wont lower the pegs yet until I put some seat time on the bike as many have said it is perfect once you become accustomed to it - the real issue will be that when you lower the peg you also need to adjust the brake lever and many have said not an easy task - so rather then go down that rabbit hole I will see if I can adjust my position or become one with the bike ( that's a good one find my Zen on the Busa ) regardless it should be a unique change - I am not looking for break neck speed, I want top of the line quality, precision and fun factor of 10+ and I believe this bike might be the one. Cheers
@@purdyman Thank you so much for that wonderful reply! Well said! Currently I am riding a 2010 R1200GS 30th anniversary edition. It goes up in value every day. Other than that I would sell it for a Hayabusa. Just like you, I am not looking for that last MPH. At this point in time, I think the ONLY manufacturer making a top shelf powerful street machine is Suzuki. I know the Busa engine and transmission is far better than BMW or anyone else for that matter. And I suspect you are very correct about the sitting/ ergonomic position. It reminds me of the days when BMW knew how to build a motorcycle and actually addressed ergonomics and aerodynamics is wonderful fashion. BMW has lost their way! Also the dealer network for Suzuki is wonderful. NO dealer network for BMW! I like watching these folks do adventure rides ( itchy boots etc) but there are no places to ride like that here in Louisiana that are worth the effort. If I get a BUSA, I will want to take it to highways in west Texas. There are places you can run ~ 150- 160 for a very long time. I used to do that on the K bike. There is nothing out there but road and desert! So heck yea buddy, let me know how you get on with your new Busa! I suspect it will be fantastic !!!! Cheers!
